Part-Level 3D Gaussian Vehicle Generation with Joint and Hinge Axis Estimation

Simulation is essential for autonomous driving, yet current frameworks often model vehicles as rigid assets and fail to capture part-level articulation. With perception algorithms increasingly leveraging dynamics such as wheel steering or door opening, realistic simulation requires animatable vehicle representations. Existing CAD-based pipelines are limited by library coverage and fixed templates, preventing faithful reconstruction of in-the-wild instances. We propose a generative framework that, from a single image or sparse multi-view input, synthesizes an animatable 3D Gaussian vehicle. Our method addresses two challenges: (i) large 3D asset generators are optimized for static quality but not articulation, leading to distortions at part boundaries when animated; and (ii) segmentation alone cannot provide the kinematic parameters required for motion. To overcome this, we introduce a part-edge refinement module that enforces exclusive Gaussian ownership and a kinematic reasoning head that predicts joint positions and hinge axes of movable parts. Together, these components enable faithful part-aware simulation, bridging the gap between static generation and animatable vehicle models.

SCORE: Story Coherence and Retrieval Enhancement for AI Narratives

Large Language Models (LLMs) can generate creative and engaging narratives from user-specified input, but maintaining coherence and emotional depth throughout these AI-generated stories remains a challenge. In this work, we propose SCORE, a framework for Story Coherence and Retrieval Enhancement, designed to detect and resolve narrative inconsistencies. By tracking key item statuses and generating episode summaries, SCORE uses a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach to identify related episodes and enhance the overall story structure. Experimental results from testing multiple LLM-generated stories demonstrate that SCORE significantly improves the consistency and stability of narrative coherence compared to baseline GPT models, providing a more robust method for evaluating and refining AI-generated narratives.

SiniticMTError: A Machine Translation Dataset with Error Annotations for Sinitic Languages

Despite major advances in machine translation (MT) in recent years, progress remains limited for many low-resource languages that lack large-scale training data and linguistic resources. Cantonese and Wu Chinese are two Sinitic examples, although each enjoys more than 80 million speakers around the world. In this paper, we introduce SiniticMTError, a novel dataset that builds on existing parallel corpora to provide error span, error type, and error severity annotations in machine-translated examples from English to Mandarin, Cantonese, and Wu Chinese. Our dataset serves as a resource for the MT community to utilize in fine-tuning models with error detection capabilities, supporting research on translation quality estimation, error-aware generation, and low-resource language evaluation. We report our rigorous annotation process by native speakers, with analyses on inter-annotator agreement, iterative feedback, and patterns in error type and severity.
