UI-KOBE: Knowledge-Oriented Behavior Exploration for Lightweight Graph-Guided GUI Agents

Recent advances in mobile GUI agents have shown strong potential for automating mobile tasks, but most effective systems still depend on large vision-language models for screenshot understanding and long-horizon planning. Small GUI agents that can be deployed directly on mobile devices are more attractive for practical use, offering lower inference cost and better protection of sensitive on-device information. However, due to limited model capacity, such lightweight agents remain unreliable when planning and executing GUI tasks end-to-end from screenshots alone. We propose Knowledge-Oriented Behavior Exploration (\textbf{UI-KOBE}), a framework that improves lightweight mobile GUI agents with reusable app-specific graph knowledge. UI-KOBE first autonomously explores a mobile application and constructs an app knowledge graph, where nodes represent distinct UI states and edges represent executable transitions. At runtime, a lightweight GUI agent uses the graph as external guidance: given a user task and the current screenshot, it identifies the current graph node and selects among self-loop actions, neighboring transitions, task completion, or fallback free actions associated with that node. By supporting runtime decisions with app-specific graph guidance, UI-KOBE reduces the burden of end-to-end GUI planning and helps lightweight models perform mobile GUI tasks more effectively, offering a practical step toward efficient, interpretable, and privacy-conscious on-device GUI agents.

OmniInteract: Benchmarking Real-World Streaming Interaction for Real-Time Omnimodal Assistants

We introduce OmniInteract, a streaming benchmark for real-time omnimodal large language models evaluated through native online inference over audio-visual streams. Unlike offline video understanding or text-prompted streaming QA, OmniInteract preserves the original audio-visual stream and requires models to process it online, without access to future content. User queries and ambient sounds are embedded in the audio track, requiring models to detect multimodal triggers, decide when to respond, and answer while the stream unfolds. OmniInteract contains 250 videos with 1,430 temporally grounded response slots: 1,062 1Q1A slots across real-time, proactive, and nested scenarios, and 368 1QnA slots for continuous task monitoring and step guidance. Each slot includes a trigger, response window, and target answer. We evaluate response correctness, timing, invalid outputs, interruption handling, and context continuity using Interaction-Aware Quality-Timeliness F1, Interruption Diagnostic Suite, and Nested Chain Completion Score. Experiments show that current models remain weak in streaming interaction, with the best overall IA-QTF1 reaching only 0.368 and the best 1QnA IA-QTF1 only 0.052. Further study on mathematical reasoning in full-duplex settings shows that offline capability does not necessarily transfer to online interaction. Strike a Balance in Continual Panoptic Segmentation

This study explores the emerging area of continual panoptic segmentation, highlighting three key balances. First, we introduce past-class backtrace distillation to balance the stability of existing knowledge with the adaptability to new information. This technique retraces the features associated with past classes based on the final label assignment results, performing knowledge distillation targeting these specific features from the previous model while allowing other features to flexibly adapt to new information. Additionally, we introduce a class-proportional memory strategy, which aligns the class distribution in the replay sample set with that of the historical training data. This strategy maintains a balanced class representation during replay, enhancing the utility of the limited-capacity replay sample set in recalling prior classes. Moreover, recognizing that replay samples are annotated only for the classes of their original step, we devise balanced anti-misguidance losses, which combat the impact of incomplete annotations without incurring classification bias. Building upon these innovations, we present a new method named Balanced Continual Panoptic Segmentation (BalConpas). Our evaluation on the challenging ADE20K dataset demonstrates its superior performance compared to existing state-of-the-art methods. X-Stream: Exploring MLLMs as Multiplexers for Multi-Stream Understanding

While video streaming understanding has made significant strides, real-world applications, such as live sports broadcasting, autonomous driving, and multi-screen collaboration, inherently demand continuous, multi-stream interactions. However, existing benchmarks are confined to single-stream paradigms, leaving a critical gap in evaluating online, cross-stream reasoning. To bridge this, we introduce X-Stream, the first benchmark dedicated to multi-stream streaming understanding. Comprising 4,220 rigorously curated QA pairs across 932 videos, X-Stream evaluates 11 subtasks across multi-window, multi-view, and multi-device scenarios. Crucially, our dataset is constructed using a novel dual-verification pipeline that prevents over-reliance on a single stream. Furthermore, we pioneer the conceptualization of multi-modal large language models (MLLMs) as naive multiplexers, systematically evaluating their performance through the lens of Signal Multiplexing Theory. Our extensive online inference experiments reveal a stark reality: state-of-the-art MLLMs struggle significantly with concurrent streams, achieving only about 50% score and exhibiting poor proactive ability. Ultimately, X-Stream exposes the trade-off of current multiplexing schemes, providing both a practical evaluation protocol and empirical guidance for next-generation multi-stream agents.

SDDNet: Style-guided Dual-layer Disentanglement Network for Shadow Detection

Despite significant progress in shadow detection, current methods still struggle with the adverse impact of background color, which may lead to errors when shadows are present on complex backgrounds. Drawing inspiration from the human visual system, we treat the input shadow image as a composition of a background layer and a shadow layer, and design a Style-guided Dual-layer Disentanglement Network (SDDNet) to model these layers independently. To achieve this, we devise a Feature Separation and Recombination (FSR) module that decomposes multi-level features into shadow-related and background-related components by offering specialized supervision for each component, while preserving information integrity and avoiding redundancy through the reconstruction constraint. Moreover, we propose a Shadow Style Filter (SSF) module to guide the feature disentanglement by focusing on style differentiation and uniformization. With these two modules and our overall pipeline, our model effectively minimizes the detrimental effects of background color, yielding superior performance on three public datasets with a real-time inference speed of 32 FPS.

LISA: Language-guided Interference-aware Spatial-Frequency Attention for Driver Gaze Estimation

Driver gaze estimation serves as a fundamental metric for evaluating driver attentiveness in modern monitoring systems. Beyond being vulnerable to sudden lighting changes and sensor noise, spatial-domain models struggle to disentangle authentic gaze cues from irrelevant visual attributes. In this paper, we propose LISA, a \textbf{L}anguage-guided \textbf{I}nterference-aware \textbf{S}patial-Frequency \textbf{A}ttention framework that combines frequency-domain priors with vision-language knowledge. Observing that the amplitude spectrum remains relatively stable even under spatial perturbations, we design a dual-domain fusion mechanism. It integrates stable low-frequency semantics into high-frequency details, employing spatial attention to precisely target ocular regions. To reduce semantic ambiguity, we also introduce a training-time disentanglement strategy. Using a frozen CLIP encoder and orthogonal regularization, we explicitly separate gaze features from appearance interference. Experiments on two benchmarks show that LISA achieves state-of-the-art performance, with significantly improved robustness against occlusions and lighting variations. PhoStream: Benchmarking Real-World Streaming for Omnimodal Assistants in Mobile Scenarios

Multimodal Large Language Models excel at offline audio-visual understanding, but their ability to serve as mobile assistants in continuous real-world streams remains underexplored. In daily phone use, mobile assistants must track streaming audio-visual inputs and respond at the right time, yet existing benchmarks are often restricted to multiple-choice questions or use shorter videos. In this paper, we introduce PhoStream, the first mobile-centric streaming benchmark that unifies on-screen and off-screen scenarios to evaluate video, audio, and temporal reasoning. PhoStream contains 5,572 open-ended QA pairs from 578 videos across 4 scenarios and 10 capabilities. We build it with an Automated Generative Pipeline backed by rigorous human verification, and evaluate models using a realistic Online Inference Pipeline and LLM-as-a-Judge evaluation for open-ended responses. Experiments reveal a temporal asymmetry in LLM-judged scores (0-100): models perform well on Instant and Backward tasks (Gemini 3 Pro exceeds 80), but drop sharply on Forward tasks (16.40), largely due to early responses before the required visual and audio cues appear. This highlights a fundamental limitation: current MLLMs struggle to decide when to speak, not just what to say. See the Forest for the Trees: Loosely Speculative Decoding via Visual-Semantic Guidance for Efficient Inference of Video LLMs

Video Large Language Models (Video-LLMs) excel in video understanding but suffer from high inference latency during autoregressive generation. Speculative Decoding (SD) mitigates this by applying a draft-and-verify paradigm, yet existing methods are constrained by rigid exact-match rules, severely limiting the acceleration potential. To bridge this gap, we propose LVSpec, the first training-free loosely SD framework tailored for Video-LLMs. Grounded in the insight that generation is governed by sparse visual-relevant anchors (mandating strictness) amidst abundant visual-irrelevant fillers (permitting loose verification), LVSpec employs a lightweight visual-relevant token identification scheme to accurately pinpoint the former. To further maximize acceptance, we augment this with a position-shift tolerant mechanism that effectively salvages positionally mismatched but semantically equivalent tokens. Experiments demonstrate that LVSpec achieves high fidelity and speed: it preserves >99.8 of target performance while accelerating Qwen2.5-VL-32B by 2.70x and LLaVA-OneVision-72B by 2.94x. Notably, it boosts the mean accepted length and speedup ratio by 136% and 35% compared to SOTA training-free SD methods for Video-LLMs.

SimCGNN: Simple Contrastive Graph Neural Network for Session-based Recommendation

Session-based recommendation (SBR) problem, which focuses on next-item prediction for anonymous users, has received increasingly more attention from researchers. Existing graph-based SBR methods all lack the ability to differentiate between sessions with the same last item, and suffer from severe popularity bias. Inspired by nowadays emerging contrastive learning methods, this paper presents a Simple Contrastive Graph Neural Network for Session-based Recommendation (SimCGNN). In SimCGNN, we first obtain normalized session embeddings on constructed session graphs. We next construct positive and negative samples of the sessions by two forward propagation and a novel negative sample selection strategy, and then calculate the constructive loss. Finally, session embeddings are used to give prediction. Extensive experiments conducted on two real-word datasets show our SimCGNN achieves a significant improvement over state-of-the-art methods.

VP-Bench: A Comprehensive Benchmark for Visual Prompting in Multimodal Large Language Models

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have enabled a wide range of advanced vision-language applications, including fine-grained object recognition and contextual understanding. When querying specific regions or objects in an image, human users naturally use "visual prompts" (VPs), such as bounding boxes, to provide reference. However, no existing benchmark systematically evaluates the ability of MLLMs to interpret such VPs. This gap leaves it unclear whether current MLLMs can effectively recognize VPs, an intuitive prompting method for humans, and use them to solve problems. To address this limitation, we introduce VP-Bench, a benchmark for assessing MLLMs' capability in VP perception and utilization. VP-Bench employs a two-stage evaluation framework: Stage 1 examines models' ability to perceive VPs in natural scenes, using 30k visualized prompts spanning eight shapes and 355 attribute combinations. Stage 2 investigates the impact of VPs on downstream tasks, measuring their effectiveness in real-world problem-solving scenarios. Using VP-Bench, we evaluate 28 MLLMs, including proprietary systems (e.g., GPT-4o) and open-source models (e.g., InternVL3 and Qwen2.5-VL), and provide a comprehensive analysis of factors that affect VP understanding, such as variations in VP attributes, question arrangement, and model scale. VP-Bench establishes a new reference framework for studying how MLLMs comprehend and resolve grounded referring questions.

CoVe: Training Interactive Tool-Use Agents via Constraint-Guided Verification

Developing multi-turn interactive tool-use agents is challenging because real-world user needs are often complex and ambiguous, yet agents must execute deterministic actions to satisfy them. To address this gap, we introduce \textbf{CoVe} (\textbf{Co}nstraint-\textbf{Ve}rification), a post-training data synthesis framework designed for training interactive tool-use agents while ensuring both data complexity and correctness. CoVe begins by defining explicit task constraints, which serve a dual role: they guide the generation of complex trajectories and act as deterministic verifiers for assessing trajectory quality. This enables the creation of high-quality training trajectories for supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and the derivation of accurate reward signals for reinforcement learning (RL). Our evaluation on the challenging $τ^2$-bench benchmark demonstrates the effectiveness of the framework. Notably, our compact \textbf{CoVe-4B} model achieves success rates of 43.0\% and 59.4\% in the Airline and Retail domains, respectively; its overall performance significantly outperforms strong baselines of similar scale and remains competitive with models up to $17\times$ its size. These results indicate that CoVe provides an effective and efficient pathway for synthesizing training data for state-of-the-art interactive tool-use agents. To support future research, we open-source our code, trained model, and the full set of 12K high-quality trajectories used for training.

See Silhouettes in Motion with Neuromorphic Vision

Quasi-bimodal objects, such as text, road signs, and barcodes, play a basic yet vital role in daily visual communication. By boiling these down to clear silhouettes, binarization uses a minimal language to convey essential vision cues for maximum downstream efficiency. The catch is that frame-based imaging often struggles on mobile platforms like drones, self-driving cars, and underwater vehicles. In these dynamic scenes, rapid motion and harsh lighting can make it blind, causing severe motion blur and erasing crucial details. To overcome the limits, neuromorphic vision via event cameras, featuring microsecond-level temporal resolution and high dynamic range, steps in as a natural solution. Building upon this event-driven sensing paradigm, we introduce a simple yet effective dual-modal approach that harnesses the synergy between frames and events to achieve real-time, high-frame-rate binarization on CPU-only devices. Extensive evaluations present that it earns competitive performance against leading techniques in reducing motion blur, while delivering impressive improvements under challenging illumination. Besides, our asynchronous workflow bypasses event scarcity that breaks traditional time-binning reconstruction, maintaining clear target shapes even at extreme kilohertz frame rates. Its binary results further serve as reliable representations that facilitate a range of downstream tasks. This work paves the way towards lightweight perception and interaction in embodied intelligence on resource-constrained edge platforms.

Nearest Neighbor Classifier with Margin Penalty for Active Learning

As deep learning becomes the mainstream in the field of natural language processing, the need for suitable active learning method are becoming unprecedented urgent. Active Learning (AL) methods based on nearest neighbor classifier are proposed and demonstrated superior results. However, existing nearest neighbor classifier are not suitable for classifying mutual exclusive classes because inter-class discrepancy cannot be assured by nearest neighbor classifiers. As a result, informative samples in the margin area can not be discovered and AL performance are damaged. To this end, we propose a novel Nearest neighbor Classifier with Margin penalty for Active Learning(NCMAL). Firstly, mandatory margin penalty are added between classes, therefore both inter-class discrepancy and intra-class compactness are both assured. Secondly, a novel sample selection strategy are proposed to discover informative samples within the margin area. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the methods, we conduct extensive experiments on for datasets with other state-of-the-art methods. The experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves better results with fewer annotated samples than all baseline methods.

From Exploration to Exploitation: A Two-Stage Entropy RLVR Approach for Noise-Tolerant MLLM Training

Reinforcement Learning with Verifiable Rewards (RLVR) for Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) is highly dependent on high-quality labeled data, which is often scarce and prone to substantial annotation noise in real-world scenarios. Existing unsupervised RLVR methods, including pure entropy minimization, can overfit to incorrect labels and limit the crucial reward ranking signal for Group-Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO). To address these challenges and enhance noise tolerance, we propose a novel two-stage, token-level entropy optimization method for RLVR. This approach dynamically guides the model from exploration to exploitation during training. In the initial exploration phase, token-level entropy maximization promotes diverse and stochastic output generation, serving as a strong regularizer that prevents premature convergence to noisy labels and ensures sufficient intra-group variation, which enables more reliable reward gradient estimation in GRPO. As training progresses, the method transitions into the exploitation phase, where token-level entropy minimization encourages the model to produce confident and deterministic outputs, thereby consolidating acquired knowledge and refining prediction accuracy. Empirically, across three MLLM backbones - Qwen2-VL-2B, Qwen2-VL-7B, and Qwen2.5-VL-3B - spanning diverse noise settings and multiple tasks, our phased strategy consistently outperforms prior approaches by unifying and enhancing external, internal, and entropy-based methods, delivering robust and superior performance across the board.

SpecVLM: Enhancing Speculative Decoding of Video LLMs via Verifier-Guided Token Pruning

Video large language models (Vid-LLMs) have shown strong capabilities in understanding video content. However, their reliance on dense video token representations introduces substantial memory and computational overhead in both prefilling and decoding. To mitigate the information loss of recent video token reduction methods and accelerate the decoding stage of Vid-LLMs losslessly, we introduce SpecVLM, a training-free speculative decoding (SD) framework tailored for Vid-LLMs that incorporates staged video token pruning. Building on our novel finding that the draft model's speculation exhibits low sensitivity to video token pruning, SpecVLM prunes up to 90% of video tokens to enable efficient speculation without sacrificing accuracy. To achieve this, we performs a two-stage pruning process: Stage I selects highly informative tokens guided by attention signals from the verifier (target model), while Stage II prunes remaining redundant ones in a spatially uniform manner. Extensive experiments on four video understanding benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of SpecVLM, which achieves up to 2.68$\times$ decoding speedup for LLaVA-OneVision-72B and 2.11$\times$ speedup for Qwen2.5-VL-32B. Hierarchical Intent-guided Optimization with Pluggable LLM-Driven Semantics for Session-based Recommendation

Session-based Recommendation (SBR) aims to predict the next item a user will likely engage with, using their interaction sequence within an anonymous session. Existing SBR models often focus only on single-session information, ignoring inter-session relationships and valuable cross-session insights. Some methods try to include inter-session data but struggle with noise and irrelevant information, reducing performance. Additionally, most models rely on item ID co-occurrence and overlook rich semantic details, limiting their ability to capture fine-grained item features. To address these challenges, we propose a novel hierarchical intent-guided optimization approach with pluggable LLM-driven semantic learning for session-based recommendations, called HIPHOP. First, we introduce a pluggable embedding module based on large language models (LLMs) to generate high-quality semantic representations, enhancing item embeddings. Second, HIPHOP utilizes graph neural networks (GNNs) to model item transition relationships and incorporates a dynamic multi-intent capturing module to address users' diverse interests within a session. Additionally, we design a hierarchical inter-session similarity learning module, guided by user intent, to capture global and local session relationships, effectively exploring users' long-term and short-term interests. To mitigate noise, an intent-guided denoising strategy is applied during inter-session learning. Finally, we enhance the model's discriminative capability by using contrastive learning to optimize session representations. Experiments on multiple datasets show that HIPHOP significantly outperforms existing methods, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving recommendation quality. Leveraging Multimodal Data and Side Users for Diffusion Cross-Domain Recommendation

Cross-domain recommendation (CDR) aims to address the persistent cold-start problem in Recommender Systems. Current CDR research concentrates on transferring cold-start users' information from the auxiliary domain to the target domain. However, these systems face two main issues: the underutilization of multimodal data, which hinders effective cross-domain alignment, and the neglect of side users who interact solely within the target domain, leading to inadequate learning of the target domain's vector space distribution. To address these issues, we propose a model leveraging Multimodal data and Side users for diffusion Cross-domain recommendation (MuSiC). We first employ a multimodal large language model to extract item multimodal features and leverage a large language model to uncover user features using prompt learning without fine-tuning. Secondly, we propose the cross-domain diffusion module to learn the generation of feature vectors in the target domain. This approach involves learning feature distribution from side users and understanding the patterns in cross-domain transformation through overlapping users. Subsequently, the trained diffusion module is used to generate feature vectors for cold-start users in the target domain, enabling the completion of cross-domain recommendation tasks. Finally, our experimental evaluation of the Amazon dataset confirms that MuSiC achieves state-of-the-art performance, significantly outperforming all selected baselines. Query-guided Prototype Evolution Network for Few-Shot Segmentation

Previous Few-Shot Segmentation (FSS) approaches exclusively utilize support features for prototype generation, neglecting the specific requirements of the query. To address this, we present the Query-guided Prototype Evolution Network (QPENet), a new method that integrates query features into the generation process of foreground and background prototypes, thereby yielding customized prototypes attuned to specific queries. The evolution of the foreground prototype is accomplished through a \textit{support-query-support} iterative process involving two new modules: Pseudo-prototype Generation (PPG) and Dual Prototype Evolution (DPE). The PPG module employs support features to create an initial prototype for the preliminary segmentation of the query image, resulting in a pseudo-prototype reflecting the unique needs of the current query. Subsequently, the DPE module performs reverse segmentation on support images using this pseudo-prototype, leading to the generation of evolved prototypes, which can be considered as custom solutions. As for the background prototype, the evolution begins with a global background prototype that represents the generalized features of all training images. We also design a Global Background Cleansing (GBC) module to eliminate potential adverse components mirroring the characteristics of the current foreground class. Experimental results on the PASCAL-$5^i$ and COCO-$20^i$ datasets attest to the substantial enhancements achieved by QPENet over prevailing state-of-the-art techniques, underscoring the validity of our ideas.

SEFE: Superficial and Essential Forgetting Eliminator for Multimodal Continual Instruction Tuning

Multimodal Continual Instruction Tuning (MCIT) aims to enable Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) to incrementally learn new tasks without catastrophic forgetting. In this paper, we explore forgetting in this context, categorizing it into superficial forgetting and essential forgetting. Superficial forgetting refers to cases where the model's knowledge may not be genuinely lost, but its responses to previous tasks deviate from expected formats due to the influence of subsequent tasks' answer styles, making the results unusable. By contrast, essential forgetting refers to situations where the model provides correctly formatted but factually inaccurate answers, indicating a true loss of knowledge. Assessing essential forgetting necessitates addressing superficial forgetting first, as severe superficial forgetting can obscure the model's knowledge state. Hence, we first introduce the Answer Style Diversification (ASD) paradigm, which defines a standardized process for transforming data styles across different tasks, unifying their training sets into similarly diversified styles to prevent superficial forgetting caused by style shifts. Building on this, we propose RegLoRA to mitigate essential forgetting. RegLoRA stabilizes key parameters where prior knowledge is primarily stored by applying regularization, enabling the model to retain existing competencies. Experimental results demonstrate that our overall method, SEFE, achieves state-of-the-art performance.

AURA: Always-On Understanding and Real-Time Assistance via Video Streams

Video Large Language Models (VideoLLMs) have achieved strong performance on many video understanding tasks, but most existing systems remain offline and are not well-suited for live video streams that require continuous observation and timely response. Recent streaming VideoLLMs have made progress, yet current approaches often rely on decoupled trigger-response pipelines or are limited to captioning-style narration, reducing their effectiveness for open-ended question answering and long-horizon interaction. We propose AURA (Always-On Understanding and Real-Time Assistance), an end-to-end streaming visual interaction framework that enables a unified VideoLLM to continuously process video streams and support both real-time question answering and proactive responses. AURA integrates context management, data construction, training objectives, and deployment optimization for stable long-horizon streaming interaction. It achieves state-of-the-art performance on streaming benchmarks and supports a real-time demo system with ASR and TTS running at 2 FPS on two 80G accelerators. We release the AURA model together with a real-time inference framework to facilitate future research.

CoIDO: Efficient Data Selection for Visual Instruction Tuning via Coupled Importance-Diversity Optimization

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) rely heavily on instruction tuning to align vision and language capabilities, yet the computational cost of training on large-scale datasets remains a major bottleneck. Existing data selection methods aim to mitigate this by selecting important and diverse subsets, but they often suffer from two critical drawbacks: high computational overhead from processing the entire dataset and suboptimal data selection due to separate treatment of importance and diversity. We introduce CoIDO, a novel dual-objective framework that jointly optimizes data importance and diversity to overcome these challenges. Unlike existing approaches that require costly evaluations across the whole dataset, CoIDO employs a lightweight plug-in scorer. This scorer is trained on just a small random sample of data to learn the distribution of the candidate set, drastically reducing computational demands. By leveraging a homoscedastic uncertainty-based formulation, CoIDO effectively balances importance and diversity during training, enabling efficient and scalable data selection. In our experiments, we trained the CoIDO scorer using only 20 percent of randomly sampled data. Once trained, CoIDO was applied to the entire dataset to select a 20 percent subset for instruction tuning. On the widely used LLaVA-1.5-7B model across ten downstream tasks, this selected subset achieved an impressive 98.2 percent of the performance of full-data fine-tuning, on average.

KG-RAG: Enhancing GUI Agent Decision-Making via Knowledge Graph-Driven Retrieval-Augmented Generation

Despite recent progress, Graphic User Interface (GUI) agents powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) struggle with complex mobile tasks due to limited app-specific knowledge. While UI Transition Graphs (UTGs) offer structured navigation representations, they are underutilized due to poor extraction and inefficient integration. We introduce KG-RAG, a Knowledge Graph-driven Retrieval-Augmented Generation framework that transforms fragmented UTGs into structured vector databases for efficient real-time retrieval. By leveraging an intent-guided LLM search method, KG-RAG generates actionable navigation paths, enhancing agent decision-making. Experiments across diverse mobile apps show that KG-RAG outperforms existing methods, achieving a 75.8% success rate (8.9% improvement over AutoDroid), 84.6% decision accuracy (8.1% improvement), and reducing average task steps from 4.5 to 4.1. Additionally, we present KG-Android-Bench and KG-Harmony-Bench, two benchmarks tailored to the Chinese mobile ecosystem for future research. Finally, KG-RAG transfers to web/desktop (+40% SR on Weibo-web; +20% on QQ Music-desktop), and a UTG cost ablation shows accuracy saturates at ~4h per complex app, enabling practical deployment trade-offs.

STEP: Stepwise Curriculum Learning for Context-Knowledge Fusion in Conversational Recommendation

Conversational recommender systems (CRSs) aim to proactively capture user preferences through natural language dialogue and recommend high-quality items. To achieve this, CRS gathers user preferences via a dialog module and builds user profiles through a recommendation module to generate appropriate recommendations. However, existing CRS faces challenges in capturing the deep semantics of user preferences and dialogue context. In particular, the efficient integration of external knowledge graph (KG) information into dialogue generation and recommendation remains a pressing issue. Traditional approaches typically combine KG information directly with dialogue content, which often struggles with complex semantic relationships, resulting in recommendations that may not align with user expectations. To address these challenges, we introduce STEP, a conversational recommender centered on pre-trained language models that combines curriculum-guided context-knowledge fusion with lightweight task-specific prompt tuning. At its heart, an F-Former progressively aligns the dialogue context with knowledge-graph entities through a three-stage curriculum, thus resolving fine-grained semantic mismatches. The fused representation is then injected into the frozen language model via two minimal yet adaptive prefix prompts: a conversation prefix that steers response generation toward user intent and a recommendation prefix that biases item ranking toward knowledge-consistent candidates. This dual-prompt scheme allows the model to share cross-task semantics while respecting the distinct objectives of dialogue and recommendation. Experimental results show that STEP outperforms mainstream methods in the precision of recommendation and dialogue quality in two public datasets.

SR-HetGNN:Session-based Recommendation with Heterogeneous Graph Neural Network

The Session-Based Recommendation System aims to predict the user's next click based on their previous session sequence. The current studies generally learn user preferences according to the transitions of items in the user's session sequence. However, other effective information in the session sequence, such as user profiles, are largely ignored which may lead to the model unable to learn the user's specific preferences. In this paper, we propose SR-HetGNN, a novel session recommendation method that uses a heterogeneous graph neural network (HetGNN) to learn session embeddings and capture the specific preferences of anonymous users. Specifically, SR-HetGNN first constructs heterogeneous graphs containing various types of nodes according to the session sequence, which can capture the dependencies among items, users, and sessions. Second, HetGNN captures the complex transitions between items and learns the item embeddings containing user information. Finally, local and global session embeddings are combined with the attentional network to obtain the final session embedding, considering the influence of users' long and short-term preferences. SR-HetGNN is shown to be superior to the existing state-of-the-art session-based recommendation methods through extensive experiments over two real large datasets Diginetica and Tmall.

Graph Inference Representation: Learning Graph Positional Embeddings with Anchor Path Encoding

Learning node representations that incorporate information from graph structure benefits wide range of tasks on graph. The majority of existing graph neural networks (GNNs) have limited power in capturing position information for a given node. The idea of positioning nodes with selected anchors has been exploited, yet mainly relying on explicit labeling of distance information. Here we propose Graph Inference Representation (GIR), an anchor based GNN model encoding path information related to pre-selected anchors for each node. Abilities to get position-aware embeddings are theoretically and experimentally investigated on GIR and its core variants. Further, the complementarity between GIRs and typical GNNs is demonstrated. We show that GIRs get outperformed results in position-aware scenarios, and performances on typical GNNs could be improved by fusing GIR embeddings.

CelebHair: A New Large-Scale Dataset for Hairstyle Recommendation based on CelebA

In this paper, we present a new large-scale dataset for hairstyle recommendation, CelebHair, based on the celebrity facial attributes dataset, CelebA. Our dataset inherited the majority of facial images along with some beauty-related facial attributes from CelebA. Additionally, we employed facial landmark detection techniques to extract extra features such as nose length and pupillary distance, and deep convolutional neural networks for face shape and hairstyle classification. Empirical comparison has demonstrated the superiority of our dataset to other existing hairstyle-related datasets regarding variety, veracity, and volume. Analysis and experiments have been conducted on the dataset in order to evaluate its robustness and usability.

Adaptive Graph Diffusion Networks

Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have received much attention in the graph deep learning domain. However, recent research empirically and theoretically shows that deep GNNs suffer from over-fitting and over-smoothing problems. The usual solutions either cannot solve extensive runtime of deep GNNs or restrict graph convolution in the same feature space. We propose the Adaptive Graph Diffusion Networks (AGDNs) which perform multi-layer generalized graph diffusion in different feature spaces with moderate complexity and runtime. Standard graph diffusion methods combine large and dense powers of the transition matrix with predefined weighting coefficients. Instead, AGDNs combine smaller multi-hop node representations with learnable and generalized weighting coefficients. We propose two scalable mechanisms of weighting coefficients to capture multi-hop information: Hop-wise Attention (HA) and Hop-wise Convolution (HC). We evaluate AGDNs on diverse, challenging Open Graph Benchmark (OGB) datasets with semi-supervised node classification and link prediction tasks. Until the date of submission (Aug 26, 2022), AGDNs achieve top-1 performance on the ogbn-arxiv, ogbn-proteins and ogbl-ddi datasets and top-3 performance on the ogbl-citation2 dataset. On the similar Tesla V100 GPU cards, AGDNs outperform Reversible GNNs (RevGNNs) with 13% complexity and 1% training runtime of RevGNNs on the ogbn-proteins dataset. AGDNs also achieve comparable performance to SEAL with 36% training and 0.2% inference runtime of SEAL on the ogbl-citation2 dataset.
