Instance-aware Dynamic Prompt Tuning for Pre-trained Point Cloud ModelsYaohua Zha, Jinpeng Wang, Tao Dai et al.
Pre-trained point cloud models have found extensive applications in 3D understanding tasks like object classification and part segmentation. However, the prevailing strategy of full fine-tuning in downstream tasks leads to large per-task storage overhead for model parameters, which limits the efficiency when applying large-scale pre-trained models. Inspired by the recent success of visual prompt tuning (VPT), this paper attempts to explore prompt tuning on pre-trained point cloud models, to pursue an elegant balance between performance and parameter efficiency. We find while instance-agnostic static prompting, e.g. VPT, shows some efficacy in downstream transfer, it is vulnerable to the distribution diversity caused by various types of noises in real-world point cloud data. To conquer this limitation, we propose a novel Instance-aware Dynamic Prompt Tuning (IDPT) strategy for pre-trained point cloud models. The essence of IDPT is to develop a dynamic prompt generation module to perceive semantic prior features of each point cloud instance and generate adaptive prompt tokens to enhance the model's robustness. Notably, extensive experiments demonstrate that IDPT outperforms full fine-tuning in most tasks with a mere 7% of the trainable parameters, providing a promising solution to parameter-efficient learning for pre-trained point cloud models. NTIRE 2026 The 3rd Restore Any Image Model (RAIM) Challenge: AI Flash Portrait (Track 3)Ya-nan Guan, Shaonan Zhang, Hang Guo et al.
In this paper, we present a comprehensive overview of the NTIRE 2026 3rd Restore Any Image Model (RAIM) challenge, with a specific focus on Track 3: AI Flash Portrait. Despite significant advancements in deep learning for image restoration, existing models still encounter substantial challenges in real-world low-light portrait scenarios. Specifically, they struggle to achieve an optimal balance among noise suppression, detail preservation, and faithful illumination and color reproduction. To bridge this gap, this challenge aims to establish a novel benchmark for real-world low-light portrait restoration. We comprehensively evaluate the proposed algorithms utilizing a hybrid evaluation system that integrates objective quantitative metrics with rigorous subjective assessment protocols. For this competition, we provide a dataset containing 800 groups of real-captured low-light portrait data. Each group consists of a 1K-resolution low-light input image, a 1K ground truth (GT), and a 1K person mask. This challenge has garnered widespread attention from both academia and industry, attracting over 100 participating teams and receiving more than 3,000 valid submissions. This report details the motivation behind the challenge, the dataset construction process, the evaluation metrics, and the various phases of the competition. Learning Transferable Spatiotemporal Representations from Natural Script KnowledgeZiyun Zeng, Yuying Ge, Xihui Liu et al. · tencent-ai
Pre-training on large-scale video data has become a common recipe for learning transferable spatiotemporal representations in recent years. Despite some progress, existing methods are mostly limited to highly curated datasets (e.g., K400) and exhibit unsatisfactory out-of-the-box representations. We argue that it is due to the fact that they only capture pixel-level knowledge rather than spatiotemporal semantics, which hinders further progress in video understanding. Inspired by the great success of image-text pre-training (e.g., CLIP), we take the first step to exploit language semantics to boost transferable spatiotemporal representation learning. We introduce a new pretext task, Turning to Video for Transcript Sorting (TVTS), which sorts shuffled ASR scripts by attending to learned video representations. We do not rely on descriptive captions and learn purely from video, i.e., leveraging the natural transcribed speech knowledge to provide noisy but useful semantics over time. Our method enforces the vision model to contextualize what is happening over time so that it can re-organize the narrative transcripts, and can seamlessly apply to large-scale uncurated video data in the real world. Our method demonstrates strong out-of-the-box spatiotemporal representations on diverse benchmarks, e.g., +13.6% gains over VideoMAE on SSV2 via linear probing. NTIRE 2026 The 3rd Restore Any Image Model (RAIM) Challenge: Multi-Exposure Image Fusion in Dynamic Scenes (Track 2)Lishen Qu, Yao Liu, Jie Liang et al.
This paper presents NTIRE 2026, the 3rd Restore Any Image Model (RAIM) challenge on multi-exposure image fusion in dynamic scenes. We introduce a benchmark that targets a practical yet difficult HDR imaging setting, where exposure bracketing must be fused under scene motion, illumination variation, and handheld camera jitter. The challenge data contains 100 training sequences with 7 exposure levels and 100 test sequences with 5 exposure levels, reflecting real-world scenarios that frequently cause misalignment and ghosting artefacts. We evaluate submissions with a leaderboard score derived from PSNR, SSIM, and LPIPS, while also considering perceptual quality, efficiency, and reproducibility during the final review. This track attracted 114 participating teams and received 987 submissions. The winning methods significantly improved the ability to remove artifacts from multi-exposure fusion and recover fine details. GLM-5: from Vibe Coding to Agentic EngineeringGLM-5 Team, Aohan Zeng, Xin Lv et al. · tsinghua
We present GLM-5, a next-generation foundation model designed to transition the paradigm of vibe coding to agentic engineering. Building upon the agentic, reasoning, and coding (ARC) capabilities of its predecessor, GLM-5 adopts DSA to significantly reduce training and inference costs while maintaining long-context fidelity. To advance model alignment and autonomy, we implement a new asynchronous reinforcement learning infrastructure that drastically improves post-training efficiency by decoupling generation from training. Furthermore, we propose novel asynchronous agent RL algorithms that further improve RL quality, enabling the model to learn from complex, long-horizon interactions more effectively. Through these innovations, GLM-5 achieves state-of-the-art performance on major open benchmarks. Most critically, GLM-5 demonstrates unprecedented capability in real-world coding tasks, surpassing previous baselines in handling end-to-end software engineering challenges. Unified Language-Vision Pretraining in LLM with Dynamic Discrete Visual TokenizationYang Jin, Kun Xu, Kun Xu et al. · pku
Recently, the remarkable advance of the Large Language Model (LLM) has inspired researchers to transfer its extraordinary reasoning capability to both vision and language data. However, the prevailing approaches primarily regard the visual input as a prompt and focus exclusively on optimizing the text generation process conditioned upon vision content by a frozen LLM. Such an inequitable treatment of vision and language heavily constrains the model's potential. In this paper, we break through this limitation by representing both vision and language in a unified form. Specifically, we introduce a well-designed visual tokenizer to translate the non-linguistic image into a sequence of discrete tokens like a foreign language that LLM can read. The resulting visual tokens encompass high-level semantics worthy of a word and also support dynamic sequence length varying from the image. Coped with this tokenizer, the presented foundation model called LaVIT can handle both image and text indiscriminately under the same generative learning paradigm. This unification empowers LaVIT to serve as an impressive generalist interface to understand and generate multi-modal content simultaneously. Extensive experiments further showcase that it outperforms the existing models by a large margin on massive vision-language tasks. One-stage Low-resolution Text Recognition with High-resolution Knowledge TransferHang Guo, Tao Dai, Mingyan Zhu et al.
Recognizing characters from low-resolution (LR) text images poses a significant challenge due to the information deficiency as well as the noise and blur in low-quality images. Current solutions for low-resolution text recognition (LTR) typically rely on a two-stage pipeline that involves super-resolution as the first stage followed by the second-stage recognition. Although this pipeline is straightforward and intuitive, it has to use an additional super-resolution network, which causes inefficiencies during training and testing. Moreover, the recognition accuracy of the second stage heavily depends on the reconstruction quality of the first stage, causing ineffectiveness. In this work, we attempt to address these challenges from a novel perspective: adapting the recognizer to low-resolution inputs by transferring the knowledge from the high-resolution. Guided by this idea, we propose an efficient and effective knowledge distillation framework to achieve multi-level knowledge transfer. Specifically, the visual focus loss is proposed to extract the character position knowledge with resolution gap reduction and character region focus, the semantic contrastive loss is employed to exploit the contextual semantic knowledge with contrastive learning, and the soft logits loss facilitates both local word-level and global sequence-level learning from the soft teacher label. Extensive experiments show that the proposed one-stage pipeline significantly outperforms super-resolution based two-stage frameworks in terms of effectiveness and efficiency, accompanied by favorable robustness. Reasoning Matters: Mitigate Hallucination in Multimodal Large Reasoning Models via Reasoning-Conditioned Preference OptimizationJiawei Kong, Hao Fang, Shunxiang Liao et al.
Multimodal Large Reasoning Models introduce the reasoning paradigm, demonstrating strong capabilities on complex vision-language tasks. However, they still suffer from severe hallucinations. Existing training-based methods typically mitigate hallucinations through response-level direct preference optimization (DPO), where the Chain-of-Thought (CoT) and the final answer are treated as a monolithic output and optimized jointly. We reveal that this formulation performs similarly to answer-only optimization, suggesting that it primarily learns answer-level preference, while leaving CoT-level supervision insufficiently exploited. To address this issue, we explicitly formulate a CoT-oriented preference term and derive Reasoning-Conditioned Direct Preference Optimization (RC-DPO), which models the CoT as a condition for answer generation and contrasts the preference for the same preferred answer under different CoT conditions, promoting answer-supportive reasoning chain alignment. To further improve optimization, we introduce a reasoning-enhanced preference data generation strategy that employs Monte Carlo Tree Search to discover visually grounded and logically consistent CoTs as positive samples, and attention-guided CoT token pruning to construct negative ones. Extensive experiments across various models and benchmarks show that RC-DPO effectively mitigates hallucinations and improves the reliability of the multimodal reasoning process.

Content-aware Scalable Deep Compressed SensingBin Chen, Jian Zhang
To more efficiently address image compressed sensing (CS) problems, we present a novel content-aware scalable network dubbed CASNet which collectively achieves adaptive sampling rate allocation, fine granular scalability and high-quality reconstruction. We first adopt a data-driven saliency detector to evaluate the importances of different image regions and propose a saliency-based block ratio aggregation (BRA) strategy for sampling rate allocation. A unified learnable generating matrix is then developed to produce sampling matrix of any CS ratio with an ordered structure. Being equipped with the optimization-inspired recovery subnet guided by saliency information and a multi-block training scheme preventing blocking artifacts, CASNet jointly reconstructs the image blocks sampled at various sampling rates with one single model. To accelerate training convergence and improve network robustness, we propose an SVD-based initialization scheme and a random transformation enhancement (RTE) strategy, which are extensible without introducing extra parameters. All the CASNet components can be combined and learned end-to-end. We further provide a four-stage implementation for evaluation and practical deployments. Experiments demonstrate that CASNet outperforms other CS networks by a large margin, validating the collaboration and mutual supports among its components and strategies. Dynamic Path-Controllable Deep Unfolding Network for Compressive SensingJiechong Song, Bin Chen, Jian Zhang
Deep unfolding network (DUN) that unfolds the optimization algorithm into a deep neural network has achieved great success in compressive sensing (CS) due to its good interpretability and high performance. Each stage in DUN corresponds to one iteration in optimization. At the test time, all the sampling images generally need to be processed by all stages, which comes at a price of computation burden and is also unnecessary for the images whose contents are easier to restore. In this paper, we focus on CS reconstruction and propose a novel Dynamic Path-Controllable Deep Unfolding Network (DPC-DUN). DPC-DUN with our designed path-controllable selector can dynamically select a rapid and appropriate route for each image and is slimmable by regulating different performance-complexity tradeoffs. Extensive experiments show that our DPC-DUN is highly flexible and can provide excellent performance and dynamic adjustment to get a suitable tradeoff, thus addressing the main requirements to become appealing in practice. Contrastive Masked Autoencoders for Self-Supervised Video HashingYuting Wang, Jinpeng Wang, Bin Chen et al.
Self-Supervised Video Hashing (SSVH) models learn to generate short binary representations for videos without ground-truth supervision, facilitating large-scale video retrieval efficiency and attracting increasing research attention. The success of SSVH lies in the understanding of video content and the ability to capture the semantic relation among unlabeled videos. Typically, state-of-the-art SSVH methods consider these two points in a two-stage training pipeline, where they firstly train an auxiliary network by instance-wise mask-and-predict tasks and secondly train a hashing model to preserve the pseudo-neighborhood structure transferred from the auxiliary network. This consecutive training strategy is inflexible and also unnecessary. In this paper, we propose a simple yet effective one-stage SSVH method called ConMH, which incorporates video semantic information and video similarity relationship understanding in a single stage. To capture video semantic information for better hashing learning, we adopt an encoder-decoder structure to reconstruct the video from its temporal-masked frames. Particularly, we find that a higher masking ratio helps video understanding. Besides, we fully exploit the similarity relationship between videos by maximizing agreement between two augmented views of a video, which contributes to more discriminative and robust hash codes. Extensive experiments on three large-scale video datasets (i.e., FCVID, ActivityNet and YFCC) indicate that ConMH achieves state-of-the-art results. Pocket-Dentist: On-Device Dental Image Understanding via Efficient Multimodal Large Language ModelsKai Bian, Xucheng Guo, Bin Chen et al.
Evaluations of dental vision-language models remain fragmented across datasets, task definitions and metrics, and often ignore their computational cost. This limits their widespread deployment for dental screening outside specialist centres, where timely inference, limited hardware, and local handling of patient images are vital for practical, privacy-preserving clinical prescreening. Here we present Pocket-Dentist, an efficiency-aware benchmark for dental multimodal question answering that brings together three datasets spanning approximately 1,159 patients, five task types and seven metrics. Across typical 14 VLMs, our results reveals an interesting observation: compact VLMs (e.g., 2B-parameter models) outperform larger VLMs in accuracy while requiring substantially lower computational costs in dental image understanding. Deployed locally on an iPhone 17 Pro, our finetuned compact VLM Pocket-Dentist-2B processed each sample in 4.31 s, reducing latency by 4.9-fold and memory use by 2.3-fold compared with a 7B baseline.

Learning to Deblur using Light Field Generated and Real Defocus ImagesLingyan Ruan, Bin Chen, Jizhou Li et al. · stanford
Defocus deblurring is a challenging task due to the spatially varying nature of defocus blur. While deep learning approach shows great promise in solving image restoration problems, defocus deblurring demands accurate training data that consists of all-in-focus and defocus image pairs, which is difficult to collect. Naive two-shot capturing cannot achieve pixel-wise correspondence between the defocused and all-in-focus image pairs. Synthetic aperture of light fields is suggested to be a more reliable way to generate accurate image pairs. However, the defocus blur generated from light field data is different from that of the images captured with a traditional digital camera. In this paper, we propose a novel deep defocus deblurring network that leverages the strength and overcomes the shortcoming of light fields. We first train the network on a light field-generated dataset for its highly accurate image correspondence. Then, we fine-tune the network using feature loss on another dataset collected by the two-shot method to alleviate the differences between the defocus blur exists in the two domains. This strategy is proved to be highly effective and able to achieve the state-of-the-art performance both quantitatively and qualitatively on multiple test sets. Extensive ablation studies have been conducted to analyze the effect of each network module to the final performance.

GIFD: A Generative Gradient Inversion Method with Feature Domain OptimizationHao Fang, Bin Chen, Xuan Wang et al.
Federated Learning (FL) has recently emerged as a promising distributed machine learning framework to preserve clients' privacy, by allowing multiple clients to upload the gradients calculated from their local data to a central server. Recent studies find that the exchanged gradients also take the risk of privacy leakage, e.g., an attacker can invert the shared gradients and recover sensitive data against an FL system by leveraging pre-trained generative adversarial networks (GAN) as prior knowledge. However, performing gradient inversion attacks in the latent space of the GAN model limits their expression ability and generalizability. To tackle these challenges, we propose \textbf{G}radient \textbf{I}nversion over \textbf{F}eature \textbf{D}omains (GIFD), which disassembles the GAN model and searches the feature domains of the intermediate layers. Instead of optimizing only over the initial latent code, we progressively change the optimized layer, from the initial latent space to intermediate layers closer to the output images. In addition, we design a regularizer to avoid unreal image generation by adding a small ${l_1}$ ball constraint to the searching range. We also extend GIFD to the out-of-distribution (OOD) setting, which weakens the assumption that the training sets of GANs and FL tasks obey the same data distribution. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method can achieve pixel-level reconstruction and is superior to the existing methods. Notably, GIFD also shows great generalizability under different defense strategy settings and batch sizes.

Revisiting Image Deblurring with an Efficient ConvNetLingyan Ruan, Mojtaba Bemana, Hans-peter Seidel et al.
Image deblurring aims to recover the latent sharp image from its blurry counterpart and has a wide range of applications in computer vision. The Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs) have performed well in this domain for many years, and until recently an alternative network architecture, namely Transformer, has demonstrated even stronger performance. One can attribute its superiority to the multi-head self-attention (MHSA) mechanism, which offers a larger receptive field and better input content adaptability than CNNs. However, as MHSA demands high computational costs that grow quadratically with respect to the input resolution, it becomes impractical for high-resolution image deblurring tasks. In this work, we propose a unified lightweight CNN network that features a large effective receptive field (ERF) and demonstrates comparable or even better performance than Transformers while bearing less computational costs. Our key design is an efficient CNN block dubbed LaKD, equipped with a large kernel depth-wise convolution and spatial-channel mixing structure, attaining comparable or larger ERF than Transformers but with a smaller parameter scale. Specifically, we achieve +0.17dB / +0.43dB PSNR over the state-of-the-art Restormer on defocus / motion deblurring benchmark datasets with 32% fewer parameters and 39% fewer MACs. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superior performance of our network and the effectiveness of each module. Furthermore, we propose a compact and intuitive ERFMeter metric that quantitatively characterizes ERF, and shows a high correlation to the network performance. We hope this work can inspire the research community to further explore the pros and cons of CNN and Transformer architectures beyond image deblurring tasks.

Molecular Lead Optimization via Agentic Tool PlanningLingxiao Li, Haobo Zhang, Ruohao Fan et al.
Drug discovery is a lengthy and resource-intensive process composed of multiple stages. Among these stages, lead optimization plays a critical role in transforming early hit compounds into viable drug candidates. This stage requires improving ADMET-related properties through subtle structural refinement while preserving key molecular substructures responsible for binding affinity to disease targets. Recent advances in artificial intelligence have shown promise in accelerating various aspects of drug discovery; however, most existing approaches to lead optimization rely on one-step molecular optimization, which fail to account for the long-term consequences of sequential design decisions. To address this limitation, we propose TRACE, a trajectory-aware, LLM-reasoning agent for molecular lead optimization that formulates tool selection as a sequential decision-making problem over action trajectories. Given a lead molecule and an optimization objective, TRACE makes trajectory-aware decisions over molecular optimization tools, enabling forward-looking refinement under structural constraints. Experiments on multiple ADMET optimization tasks show that our agent achieves higher optimization success, larger property improvements, and higher validity, while preserving molecular similarity compared to baseline models.

GlowGAN: Unsupervised Learning of HDR Images from LDR Images in the WildChao Wang, Ana Serrano, Xingang Pan et al.
Most in-the-wild images are stored in Low Dynamic Range (LDR) form, serving as a partial observation of the High Dynamic Range (HDR) visual world. Despite limited dynamic range, these LDR images are often captured with different exposures, implicitly containing information about the underlying HDR image distribution. Inspired by this intuition, in this work we present, to the best of our knowledge, the first method for learning a generative model of HDR images from in-the-wild LDR image collections in a fully unsupervised manner. The key idea is to train a generative adversarial network (GAN) to generate HDR images which, when projected to LDR under various exposures, are indistinguishable from real LDR images. The projection from HDR to LDR is achieved via a camera model that captures the stochasticity in exposure and camera response function. Experiments show that our method GlowGAN can synthesize photorealistic HDR images in many challenging cases such as landscapes, lightning, or windows, where previous supervised generative models produce overexposed images. We further demonstrate the new application of unsupervised inverse tone mapping (ITM) enabled by GlowGAN. Our ITM method does not need HDR images or paired multi-exposure images for training, yet it reconstructs more plausible information for overexposed regions than state-of-the-art supervised learning models trained on such data.

Self-Supervised Scalable Deep Compressed SensingBin Chen, Xuanyu Zhang, Shuai Liu et al.
Compressed sensing (CS) is a promising tool for reducing sampling costs. Current deep neural network (NN)-based CS methods face the challenges of collecting labeled measurement-ground truth (GT) data and generalizing to real applications. This paper proposes a novel $\mathbf{S}$elf-supervised s$\mathbf{C}$alable deep CS method, comprising a deep $\mathbf{L}$earning scheme called $\mathbf{SCL}$ and a family of $\mathbf{Net}$works named $\mathbf{SCNet}$, which does not require GT and can handle arbitrary sampling ratios and matrices once trained on a partial measurement set. Our SCL contains a dual-domain loss and a four-stage recovery strategy. The former encourages a cross-consistency on two measurement parts and a sampling-reconstruction cycle-consistency regarding arbitrary ratios and matrices to maximize data/information utilization. The latter can progressively leverage common signal prior in external measurements and internal characteristics of test samples and learned NNs to improve accuracy. SCNet combines both the explicit guidance from optimization algorithms with implicit regularization from advanced NN blocks to learn a collaborative signal representation. Our theoretical analyses and experiments on simulated and real captured data, covering 1-/2-/3-D natural and scientific signals, demonstrate the effectiveness, superior performance, flexibility, and generalization ability of our method over existing self-supervised methods and its significant potential in competing against state-of-the-art supervised methods. Resource Constrained Model Compression via Minimax Optimization for Spiking Neural NetworksJue Chen, Huan Yuan, Jianchao Tan et al.
Brain-inspired Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) have the characteristics of event-driven and high energy-efficient, which are different from traditional Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) when deployed on edge devices such as neuromorphic chips. Most previous work focuses on SNNs training strategies to improve model performance and brings larger and deeper network architectures. It is difficult to deploy these complex networks on resource-limited edge devices directly. To meet such demand, people compress SNNs very cautiously to balance the performance and the computation efficiency. Existing compression methods either iteratively pruned SNNs using weights norm magnitude or formulated the problem as a sparse learning optimization. We propose an improved end-to-end Minimax optimization method for this sparse learning problem to better balance the model performance and the computation efficiency. We also demonstrate that jointly applying compression and finetuning on SNNs is better than sequentially, especially for extreme compression ratios. The compressed SNN models achieved state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance on various benchmark datasets and architectures. A Closer Look at GAN Priors: Exploiting Intermediate Features for Enhanced Model Inversion AttacksYixiang Qiu, Hao Fang, Hongyao Yu et al.
Model Inversion (MI) attacks aim to reconstruct privacy-sensitive training data from released models by utilizing output information, raising extensive concerns about the security of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs). Recent advances in generative adversarial networks (GANs) have contributed significantly to the improved performance of MI attacks due to their powerful ability to generate realistic images with high fidelity and appropriate semantics. However, previous MI attacks have solely disclosed private information in the latent space of GAN priors, limiting their semantic extraction and transferability across multiple target models and datasets. To address this challenge, we propose a novel method, Intermediate Features enhanced Generative Model Inversion (IF-GMI), which disassembles the GAN structure and exploits features between intermediate blocks. This allows us to extend the optimization space from latent code to intermediate features with enhanced expressive capabilities. To prevent GAN priors from generating unrealistic images, we apply a L1 ball constraint to the optimization process. Experiments on multiple benchmarks demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms previous approaches and achieves state-of-the-art results under various settings, especially in the out-of-distribution (OOD) scenario. GMMFormer: Gaussian-Mixture-Model Based Transformer for Efficient Partially Relevant Video RetrievalYuting Wang, Jinpeng Wang, Bin Chen et al.
Given a text query, partially relevant video retrieval (PRVR) seeks to find untrimmed videos containing pertinent moments in a database. For PRVR, clip modeling is essential to capture the partial relationship between texts and videos. Current PRVR methods adopt scanning-based clip construction to achieve explicit clip modeling, which is information-redundant and requires a large storage overhead. To solve the efficiency problem of PRVR methods, this paper proposes GMMFormer, a Gaussian-Mixture-Model based Transformer which models clip representations implicitly. During frame interactions, we incorporate Gaussian-Mixture-Model constraints to focus each frame on its adjacent frames instead of the whole video. Then generated representations will contain multi-scale clip information, achieving implicit clip modeling. In addition, PRVR methods ignore semantic differences between text queries relevant to the same video, leading to a sparse embedding space. We propose a query diverse loss to distinguish these text queries, making the embedding space more intensive and contain more semantic information. Extensive experiments on three large-scale video datasets (i.e., TVR, ActivityNet Captions, and Charades-STA) demonstrate the superiority and efficiency of GMMFormer. D3C2-Net: Dual-Domain Deep Convolutional Coding Network for Compressive SensingWeiqi Li, Bin Chen, Shuai Liu et al.
By mapping iterative optimization algorithms into neural networks (NNs), deep unfolding networks (DUNs) exhibit well-defined and interpretable structures and achieve remarkable success in the field of compressive sensing (CS). However, most existing DUNs solely rely on the image-domain unfolding, which restricts the information transmission capacity and reconstruction flexibility, leading to their loss of image details and unsatisfactory performance. To overcome these limitations, this paper develops a dual-domain optimization framework that combines the priors of (1) image- and (2) convolutional-coding-domains and offers generality to CS and other inverse imaging tasks. By converting this optimization framework into deep NN structures, we present a Dual-Domain Deep Convolutional Coding Network (D3C2-Net), which enjoys the ability to efficiently transmit high-capacity self-adaptive convolutional features across all its unfolded stages. Our theoretical analyses and experiments on simulated and real captured data, covering 2D and 3D natural, medical, and scientific signals, demonstrate the effectiveness, practicality, superior performance, and generalization ability of our method over other competing approaches and its significant potential in achieving a balance among accuracy, complexity, and interpretability. Mega-cities dominate China's urban greeningXiaoxin Zhang, Martin Brandt, Xiaoye Tong et al.
Trees play a crucial role in urban environments, offering various ecosystem services that contribute to public health and human well-being. China has initiated a range of urban greening policies over the past decades, however, monitoring their impact on urban tree dynamics at a national scale has proven challenging. In this study, we deployed nano-satellites to quantify urban tree coverage in all major Chinese cities larger than 50 km2 in 2010 and 2019. Our findings indicate that approximately 6000 km2 (11%) of urban areas were covered by trees in 2019, and 76% of these cities experienced an increase in tree cover compared to 2010. Notably, the increase in tree cover in mega-cities such as Beijing, and Shanghai was approximately twice as large as in most other cities (7.69% vs 3.94%). The study employs a data-driven approach towards assessing urban tree cover changes in relation to greening policies, showing clear signs of tree cover increases but also suggesting an uneven implementation primarily benefiting a few mega-cities.

Unsupervised Anomaly Detection with Local-Sensitive VQVAE and Global-Sensitive TransformersMingqing Wang, Jiawei Li, Zhenyang Li et al.
Unsupervised anomaly detection (UAD) has been widely implemented in industrial and medical applications, which reduces the cost of manual annotation and improves efficiency in disease diagnosis. Recently, deep auto-encoder with its variants has demonstrated its advantages in many UAD scenarios. Training on the normal data, these models are expected to locate anomalies by producing higher reconstruction error for the abnormal areas than the normal ones. However, this assumption does not always hold because of the uncontrollable generalization capability. To solve this problem, we present LSGS, a method that builds on Vector Quantised-Variational Autoencoder (VQVAE) with a novel aggregated codebook and transformers with global attention. In this work, the VQVAE focus on feature extraction and reconstruction of images, and the transformers fit the manifold and locate anomalies in the latent space. Then, leveraging the generated encoding sequences that conform to a normal distribution, we can reconstruct a more accurate image for locating the anomalies. Experiments on various datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

CAPF: Guiding Search-Agent Rollouts with Credit-Attenuated Privileged FeedbackBin Chen, Xinye Liao, Yiming Liu et al.
Recent LLM search agents use reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards (RLVR) to learn search-augmented reasoning from outcome rewards. On hard problems, these agents rarely sample end-to-end successful rollouts, leaving outcome-only RLVR with few positive-reward trajectories. We argue that improving learning on such problems requires additional guidance during training, and RLVR already contains verifier-side information that can provide it. This information can identify errors or omissions in the agent's submitted answer and guide revision within the rollout. We propose a training-time mechanism called \textbf{Credit-Attenuated Privileged Feedback} (CAPF), which makes this verifier-side information available through a Privileged Feedback call during training. CAPF lets the policy revise zero-reward attempts into positive-reward repair trajectories and attenuates credit for the feedback call and earlier actions to accommodate deployment without this call. Empirical research demonstrates that CAPF improves Qwen3-4B's average exact-match score from 44.7% under outcome-only RLVR to 48.5% on seven open-domain QA benchmarks.

OctoT2I: A Self-Evolving Agentic Text-to-Image RouterXu Jiang, Bin Chen, Gehui Li et al.
The explosive growth of Text-to-Image (T2I) models, from large-scale versions to lightweight, real-time ones, now faces diminishing marginal returns from single-model scaling. Agentic T2I methods emerged to alleviate this bottleneck by using multiple models. However, existing agentic T2I methods suffer from three key challenges: reliance on expensive handcrafted priors or human annotations, rigid single-path decision mechanisms, and a neglect of inference efficiency. To address these challenges, we introduce OctoT2I, a novel agentic framework that reformulates the T2I task as a joint optimization of generation quality and inference efficiency. OctoT2I implements a stateful, multi-round routing strategy that adaptively selects the most suitable tool based on its knowledge and memory. This strategy is enabled by a knowledge base built from scratch by our novel Self-Evolving Mechanism. This mechanism, which requires no human supervision, first autonomously defines foundational Conceptual Dimensions (eg, style, color, count) and then intelligently explores their combinations via an iterative" Propose--Solve--Evaluate--Learn"(PSEL) loop. The PSEL loop efficiently discovers each tool's capability frontier, driving continuous improvement without external guidance. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OctoT2I achieves competitive performance (0.96) on GenEval while delivering a 90.3% inference speedup and a 56.6% energy-efficiency gain over the leading baseline (Flow-GRPO), striking an exceptional balance between performance and efficiency. An Adaptive Model Ensemble Adversarial Attack for Boosting Adversarial TransferabilityBin Chen, Jia-Li Yin, Shukai Chen et al.
While the transferability property of adversarial examples allows the adversary to perform black-box attacks (i.e., the attacker has no knowledge about the target model), the transfer-based adversarial attacks have gained great attention. Previous works mostly study gradient variation or image transformations to amplify the distortion on critical parts of inputs. These methods can work on transferring across models with limited differences, i.e., from CNNs to CNNs, but always fail in transferring across models with wide differences, such as from CNNs to ViTs. Alternatively, model ensemble adversarial attacks are proposed to fuse outputs from surrogate models with diverse architectures to get an ensemble loss, making the generated adversarial example more likely to transfer to other models as it can fool multiple models concurrently. However, existing ensemble attacks simply fuse the outputs of the surrogate models evenly, thus are not efficacious to capture and amplify the intrinsic transfer information of adversarial examples. In this paper, we propose an adaptive ensemble attack, dubbed AdaEA, to adaptively control the fusion of the outputs from each model, via monitoring the discrepancy ratio of their contributions towards the adversarial objective. Furthermore, an extra disparity-reduced filter is introduced to further synchronize the update direction. As a result, we achieve considerable improvement over the existing ensemble attacks on various datasets, and the proposed AdaEA can also boost existing transfer-based attacks, which further demonstrates its efficacy and versatility.

C-ReD: A Comprehensive Chinese Benchmark for AI-Generated Text Detection Derived from Real-World PromptsChenxi Qing, Junxi Wu, Zheng Liu et al.
Recently, large language models (LLMs) are capable of generating highly fluent textual content. While they offer significant convenience to humans, they also introduce various risks, like phishing and academic dishonesty. Numerous research efforts have been dedicated to developing algorithms for detecting AI-generated text and constructing relevant datasets. However, in the domain of Chinese corpora, challenges remain, including limited model diversity and data homogeneity. To address these issues, we propose C-ReD: a comprehensive Chinese Real-prompt AI-generated Detection benchmark. Experiments demonstrate that C-ReD not only enables reliable in-domain detection but also supports strong generalization to unseen LLMs and external Chinese datasets-addressing critical gaps in model diversity, domain coverage, and prompt realism that have limited prior Chinese detection benchmarks. CVSearch: Empowering Multimodal LLMs with Cognitive Visual Search for High-Resolution Image PerceptionLiupeng Li, Haoqian Kang, Zhenyu Lu et al.
High-resolution (HR) image perception presents a key bottleneck for multimodal large language models (MLLMs). While visual search offers a promising solution, existing methods struggle with the trade-off between coverage and efficiency. Visual expert-assisted search is efficient but prone to blind spots when proposals fail, whereas scan-based search guarantees coverage at the cost of computational redundancy and semantic fragmentation. To address this dilemma, we introduce CVSearch, a training-free adaptive framework that dynamically schedules search strategies via an Assess-then-Search workflow. Specifically, CVSearch first invokes expert-assisted search when global information is insufficient, and only triggers a novel semantic-aware scanning mechanism upon failure. Distinct from rigid grid partitioning, this efficient scanning paradigm incorporates Semantic Guided Adaptive Patching to decompose images into semantically consistent regions, effectively mitigating object fragmentation. Furthermore, we devise a Dynamic Bottom-Up Search strategy driven by a Visual Complexity prior to enable efficient and precise iterative exploration of local details. Extensive experiments on HR benchmarks demonstrate that CVSearch achieves state-of-the-art accuracy while substantially improving search efficiency. Recent trends in AIGC effectively boosted the application of visual inspection. However, most of the available systems work in a human-in-the-loop manner and can not provide long-term support to the online application. To make a step forward, this paper outlines an automatic annotation system called SsaA, working in a self-supervised learning manner, for continuously making the online visual inspection in the manufacturing automation scenarios. Benefit from the self-supervised learning, SsaA is effective to establish a visual inspection application for the whole life-cycle of manufacturing. In the early stage, with only the anomaly-free data, the unsupervised algorithms are adopted to process the pretext task and generate coarse labels for the following data. Then supervised algorithms are trained for the downstream task. With user-friendly web-based interfaces, SsaA is very convenient to integrate and deploy both of the unsupervised and supervised algorithms. So far, the SsaA system has been adopted for some real-life industrial applications.

Learned Distributed Image Compression with Multi-Scale Patch Matching in Feature DomainYujun Huang, Bin Chen, Shiyu Qin et al.
Beyond achieving higher compression efficiency over classical image compression codecs, deep image compression is expected to be improved with additional side information, e.g., another image from a different perspective of the same scene. To better utilize the side information under the distributed compression scenario, the existing method (Ayzik and Avidan 2020) only implements patch matching at the image domain to solve the parallax problem caused by the difference in viewing points. However, the patch matching at the image domain is not robust to the variance of scale, shape, and illumination caused by the different viewing angles, and can not make full use of the rich texture information of the side information image. To resolve this issue, we propose Multi-Scale Feature Domain Patch Matching (MSFDPM) to fully utilizes side information at the decoder of the distributed image compression model. Specifically, MSFDPM consists of a side information feature extractor, a multi-scale feature domain patch matching module, and a multi-scale feature fusion network. Furthermore, we reuse inter-patch correlation from the shallow layer to accelerate the patch matching of the deep layer. Finally, we nd that our patch matching in a multi-scale feature domain further improves compression rate by about 20% compared with the patch matching method at image domain (Ayzik and Avidan 2020).

Battle of the Large Language Models: Dolly vs LLaMA vs Vicuna vs Guanaco vs Bard vs ChatGPT -- A Text-to-SQL Parsing ComparisonShuo Sun, Yuchen Zhang, Jiahuan Yan et al.
The success of ChatGPT has ignited an AI race, with researchers striving to develop new large language models (LLMs) that can match or surpass the language understanding and generation abilities of commercial ones. In recent times, a number of models have emerged, claiming performance near that of GPT-3.5 or GPT-4 through various instruction-tuning methods. As practitioners of Text-to-SQL parsing, we are grateful for their valuable contributions to open-source research. However, it is important to approach these claims with a sense of scrutiny and ascertain the actual effectiveness of these models. Therefore, we pit six popular large language models against each other, systematically evaluating their Text-to-SQL parsing capability on nine benchmark datasets with five different prompting strategies, covering both zero-shot and few-shot scenarios. Regrettably, the open-sourced models fell significantly short of the performance achieved by closed-source models like GPT-3.5, highlighting the need for further work to bridge the performance gap between these models.

From Verbatim to Gist: Distilling Pyramidal Multimodal Memory via Semantic Information Bottleneck for Long-Horizon Video AgentsNiu Lian, Yuting Wang, Hanshu Yao et al.
While multimodal large language models have demonstrated impressive short-term reasoning, they struggle with long-horizon video understanding due to limited context windows and static memory mechanisms that fail to mirror human cognitive efficiency. Existing paradigms typically fall into two extremes: vision-centric methods that incur high latency and redundancy through dense visual accumulation, or text-centric approaches that suffer from detail loss and hallucination via aggressive captioning. To bridge this gap, we propose MM-Mem, a pyramidal multimodal memory architecture grounded in Fuzzy-Trace Theory. MM-Mem structures memory hierarchically into a Sensory Buffer, Episodic Stream, and Symbolic Schema, enabling the progressive distillation of fine-grained perceptual traces (verbatim) into high-level semantic schemas (gist). Furthermore, to govern the dynamic construction of memory, we derive a Semantic Information Bottleneck objective and introduce SIB-GRPO to optimize the trade-off between memory compression and task-relevant information retention. In inference, we design an entropy-driven top-down memory retrieval strategy, which first tries with the abstract Symbolic Schema and progressively "drills down" to the Sensory Buffer and Episodic Stream under high uncertainty. Extensive experiments across 4 benchmarks confirm the effectiveness of MM-Mem on both offline and streaming tasks, demonstrating robust generalization and validating the effectiveness of cognition-inspired memory organization. Progressive Content-aware Coded Hyperspectral Compressive ImagingXuanyu Zhang, Bin Chen, Wenzhen Zou et al.
Hyperspectral imaging plays a pivotal role in a wide range of applications, like remote sensing, medicine, and cytology. By acquiring 3D hyperspectral images (HSIs) via 2D sensors, the coded aperture snapshot spectral imaging (CASSI) has achieved great success due to its hardware-friendly implementation and fast imaging speed. However, for some less spectrally sparse scenes, single snapshot and unreasonable coded aperture design tend to make HSI recovery more ill-posed and yield poor spatial and spectral fidelity. In this paper, we propose a novel Progressive Content-Aware CASSI framework, dubbed PCA-CASSI, which captures HSIs with multiple optimized content-aware coded apertures and fuses all the snapshots for reconstruction progressively. Simultaneously, by mapping the Range-Null space Decomposition (RND) into a deep network with several phases, an RND-HRNet is proposed for HSI recovery. Each recovery phase can fully exploit the hidden physical information in the coded apertures via explicit $\mathcal{R}$$-$$\mathcal{N}$ decomposition and explore the spatial-spectral correlation by dual transformer blocks. Our method is validated to surpass other state-of-the-art methods on both multiple- and single-shot HSI imaging tasks by large margins.

UARE: A Unified Vision-Language Model for Image Quality Assessment, Restoration, and EnhancementWeiqi Li, Xuanyu Zhang, Bin Chen et al.
Image quality assessment (IQA) and image restoration are fundamental problems in low-level vision. Although IQA and restoration are closely connected conceptually, most existing work treats them in isolation. Recent advances in unified multimodal understanding-generation models demonstrate promising results and indicate that stronger understanding can improve generative performance. This motivates a single model that unifies IQA and restoration and explicitly studies how IQA can guide restoration, a setting that remains largely underexplored yet highly valuable. In this paper, we propose UARE, to our knowledge the first Unified vision-language model for image quality Assessment, Restoration, and Enhancement. Built on pretrained unified understanding and generation models, we introduce a two-stage training framework. First, a progressive, easy-to-hard schedule expands from single-type distortions to higher-order mixed degradations, enabling UARE to handle multiple degradations. Second, we perform unified fine-tuning of quality understanding and restoration with interleaved text-image data, aligning IQA signals with restoration objectives. Through multi-task co-training, UARE leverages IQA to boost restoration and enhancement performance. Splatwizard: A Benchmark Toolkit for 3D Gaussian Splatting CompressionXiang Liu, Yimin Zhou, Jinxiang Wang et al.
The recent advent of 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has marked a significant breakthrough in real-time novel view synthesis. However, the rapid proliferation of 3DGS-based algorithms has created a pressing need for standardized and comprehensive evaluation tools, especially for compression task. Existing benchmarks often lack the specific metrics necessary to holistically assess the unique characteristics of different methods, such as rendering speed, rate distortion trade-offs memory efficiency, and geometric accuracy. To address this gap, we introduce Splatwizard, a unified benchmark toolkit designed specifically for benchmarking 3DGS compression models. Splatwizard provides an easy-to-use framework to implement new 3DGS compression model and utilize state-of-the-art techniques proposed by previous work. Besides, an integrated pipeline that automates the calculation of key performance indicators, including image-based quality metrics, chamfer distance of reconstruct mesh, rendering frame rates, and computational resource consumption is included in the framework as well. ViT-P: Rethinking Data-efficient Vision Transformers from LocalityBin Chen, Ran Wang, Di Ming et al.
Recent advances of Transformers have brought new trust to computer vision tasks. However, on small dataset, Transformers is hard to train and has lower performance than convolutional neural networks. We make vision transformers as data-efficient as convolutional neural networks by introducing multi-focal attention bias. Inspired by the attention distance in a well-trained ViT, we constrain the self-attention of ViT to have multi-scale localized receptive field. The size of receptive field is adaptable during training so that optimal configuration can be learned. We provide empirical evidence that proper constrain of receptive field can reduce the amount of training data for vision transformers. On Cifar100, our ViT-P Base model achieves the state-of-the-art accuracy (83.16%) trained from scratch. We also perform analysis on ImageNet to show our method does not lose accuracy on large data sets.

MuseChat: A Conversational Music Recommendation System for VideosZhikang Dong, Bin Chen, Xiulong Liu et al.
Music recommendation for videos attracts growing interest in multi-modal research. However, existing systems focus primarily on content compatibility, often ignoring the users' preferences. Their inability to interact with users for further refinements or to provide explanations leads to a less satisfying experience. We address these issues with MuseChat, a first-of-its-kind dialogue-based recommendation system that personalizes music suggestions for videos. Our system consists of two key functionalities with associated modules: recommendation and reasoning. The recommendation module takes a video along with optional information including previous suggested music and user's preference as inputs and retrieves an appropriate music matching the context. The reasoning module, equipped with the power of Large Language Model (Vicuna-7B) and extended to multi-modal inputs, is able to provide reasonable explanation for the recommended music. To evaluate the effectiveness of MuseChat, we build a large-scale dataset, conversational music recommendation for videos, that simulates a two-turn interaction between a user and a recommender based on accurate music track information. Experiment results show that MuseChat achieves significant improvements over existing video-based music retrieval methods as well as offers strong interpretability and interactability.

GLM-OCR is an efficient 0.9B-parameter compact multimodal model designed for real-world document understanding. It combines a 0.4B-parameter CogViT visual encoder with a 0.5B-parameter GLM language decoder, achieving a strong balance between computational efficiency and recognition performance. To address the inefficiency of standard autoregressive decoding in deterministic OCR tasks, GLM-OCR introduces a Multi-Token Prediction (MTP) mechanism that predicts multiple tokens per step, significantly improving decoding throughput while keeping memory overhead low through shared parameters. At the system level, a two-stage pipeline is adopted: PP-DocLayout-V3 first performs layout analysis, followed by parallel region-level recognition. Extensive evaluations on public benchmarks and industrial scenarios show that GLM-OCR achieves competitive or state-of-the-art performance in document parsing, text and formula transcription, table structure recovery, and key information extraction. Its compact architecture and structured generation make it suitable for both resource-constrained edge deployment and large-scale production systems.

Deep Physics-Guided Unrolling Generalization for Compressed SensingBin Chen, Jiechong Song, Jingfen Xie et al.
By absorbing the merits of both the model- and data-driven methods, deep physics-engaged learning scheme achieves high-accuracy and interpretable image reconstruction. It has attracted growing attention and become the mainstream for inverse imaging tasks. Focusing on the image compressed sensing (CS) problem, we find the intrinsic defect of this emerging paradigm, widely implemented by deep algorithm-unrolled networks, in which more plain iterations involving real physics will bring enormous computation cost and long inference time, hindering their practical application. A novel deep $\textbf{P}$hysics-guided un$\textbf{R}$olled recovery $\textbf{L}$earning ($\textbf{PRL}$) framework is proposed by generalizing the traditional iterative recovery model from image domain (ID) to the high-dimensional feature domain (FD). A compact multiscale unrolling architecture is then developed to enhance the network capacity and keep real-time inference speeds. Taking two different perspectives of optimization and range-nullspace decomposition, instead of building an algorithm-specific unrolled network, we provide two implementations: $\textbf{PRL-PGD}$ and $\textbf{PRL-RND}$. Experiments exhibit the significant performance and efficiency leading of PRL networks over other state-of-the-art methods with a large potential for further improvement and real application to other inverse imaging problems or optimization models.

PromptHub: Enhancing Multi-Prompt Visual In-Context Learning with Locality-Aware Fusion, Concentration and AlignmentTianci Luo, Jinpeng Wang, Shiyu Qin et al.
Visual In-Context Learning (VICL) aims to complete vision tasks by imitating pixel demonstrations. Recent work pioneered prompt fusion that combines the advantages of various demonstrations, which shows a promising way to extend VICL. Unfortunately, the patch-wise fusion framework and model-agnostic supervision hinder the exploitation of informative cues, thereby limiting performance gains. To overcome this deficiency, we introduce PromptHub, a framework that holistically strengthens multi-prompting through locality-aware fusion, concentration and alignment. PromptHub exploits spatial priors to capture richer contextual information, employs complementary concentration, alignment, and prediction objectives to mutually guide training, and incorporates data augmentation to further reinforce supervision. Extensive experiments on three fundamental vision tasks demonstrate the superiority of PromptHub. Moreover, we validate its universality, transferability, and robustness across out-of-distribution settings, and various retrieval scenarios. Imagine Before Concentration: Diffusion-Guided Registers Enhance Partially Relevant Video RetrievalJun Li, Xuhang Lou, Jinpeng Wang et al.
Partially Relevant Video Retrieval (PRVR) aims to retrieve untrimmed videos based on text queries that describe only partial events. Existing methods suffer from incomplete global contextual perception, struggling with query ambiguity and local noise induced by spurious responses. To address these issues, we propose DreamPRVR, which adopts a coarse-to-fine representation learning paradigm. The model first generates global contextual semantic registers as coarse-grained highlights spanning the entire video and then concentrates on fine-grained similarity optimization for precise cross-modal matching. Concretely, these registers are generated by initializing from the video-centric distribution produced by a probabilistic variational sampler and then iteratively refined via a text-supervised truncated diffusion model. During this process, textual semantic structure learning constructs a well-formed textual latent space, enhancing the reliability of global perception. The registers are then adaptively fused with video tokens through register-augmented Gaussian attention blocks, enabling context-aware feature learning. Cycle Self-Training for Semi-Supervised Object Detection with Distribution Consistency ReweightingHao Liu, Bin Chen, Bo Wang et al.
Recently, many semi-supervised object detection (SSOD) methods adopt teacher-student framework and have achieved state-of-the-art results. However, the teacher network is tightly coupled with the student network since the teacher is an exponential moving average (EMA) of the student, which causes a performance bottleneck. To address the coupling problem, we propose a Cycle Self-Training (CST) framework for SSOD, which consists of two teachers T1 and T2, two students S1 and S2. Based on these networks, a cycle self-training mechanism is built, i.e., S1${\rightarrow}$T1${\rightarrow}$S2${\rightarrow}$T2${\rightarrow}$S1. For S${\rightarrow}$T, we also utilize the EMA weights of the students to update the teachers. For T${\rightarrow}$S, instead of providing supervision for its own student S1(S2) directly, the teacher T1(T2) generates pseudo-labels for the student S2(S1), which looses the coupling effect. Moreover, owing to the property of EMA, the teacher is most likely to accumulate the biases from the student and make the mistakes irreversible. To mitigate the problem, we also propose a distribution consistency reweighting strategy, where pseudo-labels are reweighted based on distribution consistency across the teachers T1 and T2. With the strategy, the two students S2 and S1 can be trained robustly with noisy pseudo labels to avoid confirmation biases. Extensive experiments prove the superiority of CST by consistently improving the AP over the baseline and outperforming state-of-the-art methods by 2.1% absolute AP improvements with scarce labeled data.

Love Me, Love My Label: Rethinking the Role of Labels in Prompt Retrieval for Visual In-Context LearningTianci Luo, Haohao Pan, Jinpeng Wang et al.
Visual in-context learning (VICL) enables visual foundation models to handle multiple tasks by steering them with demonstrative prompts. The choice of such prompts largely influences VICL performance, standing out as a key challenge. Prior work has made substantial progress on prompt retrieval and reranking strategies, but mainly focuses on prompt images while overlooking labels. We reveal these approaches sometimes get visually similar but label-inconsistent prompts, which potentially degrade VICL performance. On the other hand, higher label consistency between query and prompts preferably indicates stronger VICL results. Motivated by these findings, we develop a framework named LaPR (Label-aware Prompt Retrieval), which highlights the role of labels in prompt selection. Our framework first designs an image-label joint representation for prompts to incorporate label cues explicitly. Besides, to handle unavailable query labels at test time, we introduce a mixture-of-expert mechanism to the dual encoders with query-adaptive routing. Each expert is expected to capture a specific label mode, while the router infers query-adaptive mixture weights and helps to learn label-aware representation. We carefully design alternative optimization for experts and router, with a VICL performance-guided contrastive loss and a label-guided contrastive loss, respectively. Extensive experiments show promising and consistent improvement of LaPR on in-context segmentation, detection, and colorization tasks. Moreover, LaPR generalizes well across feature extractors and cross-fold scenarios, suggesting the importance of label utilization in prompt retrieval for VICL. Fusing Urban Structure and Semantics: A Conditional Diffusion Model for Cross-City OD Matrix GenerationBin Chen, Zhuoya Meng, Fang Yang et al.
Accurate modeling of commuting flows is important for urban governance, traffic planning, and resource allocation. However, the combined influence of individual intentions, geographic constraints, and social dynamics leads to considerable heterogeneity in commuting patterns, making it difficult to develop generation models that generalize across cities. To address this issue, we propose SEDAN, a Structure-Enhanced Diffusion model conditioned on Attributed Nodes for generalizable OD matrix generation. SEDAN models a city as an attributed graph. Each region is treated as a node with demographic and point-of-interest features, and commuting flows are modeled as weighted edges. Adjacency and distance matrices are incorporated to characterize spatial structure. Based on this representation, we design a fusion mechanism within SEDAN to jointly model semantic information and spatial information. Regional semantic attributes are used to model latent travel demand through graph-transformer-based node interactions, while spatial structure is injected into the generation process as explicit constraints. The adjacency matrix guides attention weights to strengthen interactions between neighboring regions. Meanwhile, the distance matrix serves as a diffusion condition to capture spatial proximity and travel impedance. The fusion of urban semantics and spatial constraints enables SEDAN to generate OD matrices that are both behaviorally plausible and geographically coherent. Experiments on real-world OD datasets from U.S. cities show that SEDAN achieves a 7.38\% improvement in RMSE over the state-of-the-art baseline, WEDAN. It also remains robust across heterogeneous urban scenarios and varying structural patterns. Our work provides an effective and generalizable solution for commuting OD matrix generation. CLIP-Guided Generative Networks for Transferable Targeted Adversarial AttacksHao Fang, Jiawei Kong, Bin Chen et al.
Transferable targeted adversarial attacks aim to mislead models into outputting adversary-specified predictions in black-box scenarios. Recent studies have introduced \textit{single-target} generative attacks that train a generator for each target class to generate highly transferable perturbations, resulting in substantial computational overhead when handling multiple classes. \textit{Multi-target} attacks address this by training only one class-conditional generator for multiple classes. However, the generator simply uses class labels as conditions, failing to leverage the rich semantic information of the target class. To this end, we design a \textbf{C}LIP-guided \textbf{G}enerative \textbf{N}etwork with \textbf{C}ross-attention modules (CGNC) to enhance multi-target attacks by incorporating textual knowledge of CLIP into the generator. Extensive experiments demonstrate that CGNC yields significant improvements over previous multi-target generative attacks, e.g., a 21.46\% improvement in success rate from ResNet-152 to DenseNet-121. Moreover, we propose a masked fine-tuning mechanism to further strengthen our method in attacking a single class, which surpasses existing single-target methods.

GLM-4.5: Agentic, Reasoning, and Coding (ARC) Foundation ModelsGLM-4. 5 Team, Aohan Zeng, Xin Lv et al.
We present GLM-4.5, an open-source Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) large language model with 355B total parameters and 32B activated parameters, featuring a hybrid reasoning method that supports both thinking and direct response modes. Through multi-stage training on 23T tokens and comprehensive post-training with expert model iteration and reinforcement learning, GLM-4.5 achieves strong performance across agentic, reasoning, and coding (ARC) tasks, scoring 70.1% on TAU-Bench, 91.0% on AIME 24, and 64.2% on SWE-bench Verified. With much fewer parameters than several competitors, GLM-4.5 ranks 3rd overall among all evaluated models and 2nd on agentic benchmarks. We release both GLM-4.5 (355B parameters) and a compact version, GLM-4.5-Air (106B parameters), to advance research in reasoning and agentic AI systems. Adjacency-hopping de Bruijn Sequences for Non-repetitive CodingBin Chen, Zhenglin Liang, Shiqian Wu
A special type of cyclic sequences named adjacency-hopping de Bruijn sequences is introduced in this paper. It is theoretically proved the existence of such sequences, and the number of such sequences is derived. These sequences guarantee that all neighboring codes are different while retaining the uniqueness of subsequences, which is a significant characteristic of original de Bruijn sequences in coding and matching. At last, the adjacency-hopping de Bruijn sequences are applied to structured light coding, and a color fringe pattern coded by such a sequence is presented. In summary, the proposed sequences demonstrate significant advantages in structured light coding by virtue of the uniqueness of subsequences and the adjacency-hopping characteristic, and show potential for extension to other fields with similar requirements of non-repetitive coding and efficient matching.

Multi-Scale Architectures Matter: On the Adversarial Robustness of Flow-based Lossless CompressionYi-chong Xia, Bin Chen, Yan Feng et al.
As a probabilistic modeling technique, the flow-based model has demonstrated remarkable potential in the field of lossless compression \cite{idf,idf++,lbb,ivpf,iflow},. Compared with other deep generative models (eg. Autoregressive, VAEs) \cite{bitswap,hilloc,pixelcnn++,pixelsnail} that explicitly model the data distribution probabilities, flow-based models perform better due to their excellent probability density estimation and satisfactory inference speed. In flow-based models, multi-scale architecture provides a shortcut from the shallow layer to the output layer, which significantly reduces the computational complexity and avoid performance degradation when adding more layers. This is essential for constructing an advanced flow-based learnable bijective mapping. Furthermore, the lightweight requirement of the model design in practical compression tasks suggests that flows with multi-scale architecture achieve the best trade-off between coding complexity and compression efficiency.

Towards Compact 3D Representations via Point Feature Enhancement Masked AutoencodersYaohua Zha, Huizhen Ji, Jinmin Li et al.
Learning 3D representation plays a critical role in masked autoencoder (MAE) based pre-training methods for point cloud, including single-modal and cross-modal based MAE. Specifically, although cross-modal MAE methods learn strong 3D representations via the auxiliary of other modal knowledge, they often suffer from heavy computational burdens and heavily rely on massive cross-modal data pairs that are often unavailable, which hinders their applications in practice. Instead, single-modal methods with solely point clouds as input are preferred in real applications due to their simplicity and efficiency. However, such methods easily suffer from limited 3D representations with global random mask input. To learn compact 3D representations, we propose a simple yet effective Point Feature Enhancement Masked Autoencoders (Point-FEMAE), which mainly consists of a global branch and a local branch to capture latent semantic features. Specifically, to learn more compact features, a share-parameter Transformer encoder is introduced to extract point features from the global and local unmasked patches obtained by global random and local block mask strategies, followed by a specific decoder to reconstruct. Meanwhile, to further enhance features in the local branch, we propose a Local Enhancement Module with local patch convolution to perceive fine-grained local context at larger scales. Our method significantly improves the pre-training efficiency compared to cross-modal alternatives, and extensive downstream experiments underscore the state-of-the-art effectiveness, particularly outperforming our baseline (Point-MAE) by 5.16%, 5.00%, and 5.04% in three variants of ScanObjectNN, respectively.
