Descriptellation: Deep Learned Constellation Descriptors

Current descriptors for global localization often struggle under vast viewpoint or appearance changes. One possible improvement is the addition of topological information on semantic objects. However, handcrafted topological descriptors are hard to tune and not robust to environmental noise, drastic perspective changes, object occlusion or misdetections. To solve this problem, we formulate a learning-based approach by modelling semantically meaningful object constellations as graphs and using Deep Graph Convolution Networks to map a constellation to a descriptor. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our Deep Learned Constellation Descriptor (Descriptellation) on two real-world datasets. Although Descriptellation is trained on randomly generated simulation datasets, it shows good generalization abilities on real-world datasets. Descriptellation also outperforms state-of-the-art and handcrafted constellation descriptors for global localization, and is robust to different types of noise. NTIRE 2026 The 3rd Restore Any Image Model (RAIM) Challenge: Multi-Exposure Image Fusion in Dynamic Scenes (Track 2)

This paper presents NTIRE 2026, the 3rd Restore Any Image Model (RAIM) challenge on multi-exposure image fusion in dynamic scenes. We introduce a benchmark that targets a practical yet difficult HDR imaging setting, where exposure bracketing must be fused under scene motion, illumination variation, and handheld camera jitter. The challenge data contains 100 training sequences with 7 exposure levels and 100 test sequences with 5 exposure levels, reflecting real-world scenarios that frequently cause misalignment and ghosting artefacts. We evaluate submissions with a leaderboard score derived from PSNR, SSIM, and LPIPS, while also considering perceptual quality, efficiency, and reproducibility during the final review. This track attracted 114 participating teams and received 987 submissions. The winning methods significantly improved the ability to remove artifacts from multi-exposure fusion and recover fine details. Masked Motion Encoding for Self-Supervised Video Representation Learning

How to learn discriminative video representation from unlabeled videos is challenging but crucial for video analysis. The latest attempts seek to learn a representation model by predicting the appearance contents in the masked regions. However, simply masking and recovering appearance contents may not be sufficient to model temporal clues as the appearance contents can be easily reconstructed from a single frame. To overcome this limitation, we present Masked Motion Encoding (MME), a new pre-training paradigm that reconstructs both appearance and motion information to explore temporal clues. In MME, we focus on addressing two critical challenges to improve the representation performance: 1) how to well represent the possible long-term motion across multiple frames; and 2) how to obtain fine-grained temporal clues from sparsely sampled videos. Motivated by the fact that human is able to recognize an action by tracking objects' position changes and shape changes, we propose to reconstruct a motion trajectory that represents these two kinds of change in the masked regions. Besides, given the sparse video input, we enforce the model to reconstruct dense motion trajectories in both spatial and temporal dimensions. $A^2$Nav: Action-Aware Zero-Shot Robot Navigation by Exploiting Vision-and-Language Ability of Foundation Models

We study the task of zero-shot vision-and-language navigation (ZS-VLN), a practical yet challenging problem in which an agent learns to navigate following a path described by language instructions without requiring any path-instruction annotation data. Normally, the instructions have complex grammatical structures and often contain various action descriptions (e.g., "proceed beyond", "depart from"). How to correctly understand and execute these action demands is a critical problem, and the absence of annotated data makes it even more challenging. Note that a well-educated human being can easily understand path instructions without the need for any special training. In this paper, we propose an action-aware zero-shot VLN method ($A^2$Nav) by exploiting the vision-and-language ability of foundation models. Specifically, the proposed method consists of an instruction parser and an action-aware navigation policy. The instruction parser utilizes the advanced reasoning ability of large language models (e.g., GPT-3) to decompose complex navigation instructions into a sequence of action-specific object navigation sub-tasks. Each sub-task requires the agent to localize the object and navigate to a specific goal position according to the associated action demand. To accomplish these sub-tasks, an action-aware navigation policy is learned from freely collected action-specific datasets that reveal distinct characteristics of each action demand. We use the learned navigation policy for executing sub-tasks sequentially to follow the navigation instruction. Extensive experiments show $A^2$Nav achieves promising ZS-VLN performance and even surpasses the supervised learning methods on R2R-Habitat and RxR-Habitat datasets.

SVFSearch: A Multimodal Knowledge-Intensive Benchmark for Short-Video Frame Search in the Gaming Vertical Domain

Multimodal large language models are increasingly used as agent backbones that understand multimodal inputs, plan retrieval actions, invoke external tools, and reason over retrieved information. Yet existing benchmarks rarely evaluate this ability in short-video applications, where a paused frame is often visually ambiguous and answering requires vertical, long-tail, and fast-evolving domain knowledge. We introduce SVFSearch, the first open benchmark for short-video frame search in the Chinese gaming domain. SVFSearch contains 5,000 four-choice test examples and 4,198 auxiliary training examples, each centered on a paused game scene from a real short-video clip. To support fair and reproducible evaluation, SVFSearch provides a frozen offline retrieval environment with a game-domain text corpus, a topic-linked image gallery, and text, image, and multimodal retrieval interfaces, avoiding reliance on uncontrolled web search APIs. We evaluate representative paradigms ranging from direct QA and RAG workflow to Plan-Act-Replan agents and learned search models. Results reveal a large gap between model-only answering, practical agentic search, and oracle knowledge: the best open-source direct-QA model reaches 66.4%, the best practical agent achieves 79.1%, and oracle knowledge reaches 95.4%. Further analysis exposes bottlenecks in visual grounding, retrieval quality, evidence-grounded reasoning, and tool-use behavior, including over-search, answer-only shortcuts, and retrieval-induced misleading.

FGPrompt: Fine-grained Goal Prompting for Image-goal Navigation

Learning to navigate to an image-specified goal is an important but challenging task for autonomous systems. The agent is required to reason the goal location from where a picture is shot. Existing methods try to solve this problem by learning a navigation policy, which captures semantic features of the goal image and observation image independently and lastly fuses them for predicting a sequence of navigation actions. However, these methods suffer from two major limitations. 1) They may miss detailed information in the goal image, and thus fail to reason the goal location. 2) More critically, it is hard to focus on the goal-relevant regions in the observation image, because they attempt to understand observation without goal conditioning. In this paper, we aim to overcome these limitations by designing a Fine-grained Goal Prompting (FGPrompt) method for image-goal navigation. In particular, we leverage fine-grained and high-resolution feature maps in the goal image as prompts to perform conditioned embedding, which preserves detailed information in the goal image and guides the observation encoder to pay attention to goal-relevant regions. Compared with existing methods on the image-goal navigation benchmark, our method brings significant performance improvement on 3 benchmark datasets (i.e., Gibson, MP3D, and HM3D). OneSearch-V2: The Latent Reasoning Enhanced Self-distillation Generative Search Framework

Generative Retrieval (GR) has emerged as a promising paradigm for modern search systems. Compared to multi-stage cascaded architecture, it offers advantages such as end-to-end joint optimization and high computational efficiency. OneSearch, as a representative industrial-scale deployed generative search framework, has brought significant commercial and operational benefits. However, its inadequate understanding of complex queries, inefficient exploitation of latent user intents, and overfitting to narrow historical preferences have limited its further performance improvement. To address these challenges, we propose \textbf{OneSearch-V2}, a latent reasoning enhanced self-distillation generative search framework. It contains three key innovations: (1) a thought-augmented complex query understanding module, which enables deep query understanding and overcomes the shallow semantic matching limitations of direct inference; (2) a reasoning-internalized self-distillation training pipeline, which uncovers users' potential yet precise e-commerce intentions beyond log-fitting through implicit in-context learning; (3) a behavior preference alignment optimization system, which mitigates reward hacking arising from the single conversion metric, and addresses personal preference via direct user feedback. Extensive offline evaluations demonstrate OneSearch-V2's strong query recognition and user profiling capabilities. Online A/B tests further validate its business effectiveness, yielding +3.98\% item CTR, +3.05\% buyer conversion rate, and +2.11\% order volume. Manual evaluation further confirms gains in search experience quality, with +1.65\% in page good rate and +1.37\% in query-item relevance. More importantly, OneSearch-V2 effectively mitigates common search system issues such as information bubbles and long-tail sparsity, without incurring additional inference costs or serving latency.

RGM: A Robust Generalizable Matching Model

Finding corresponding pixels within a pair of images is a fundamental computer vision task with various applications. Due to the specific requirements of different tasks like optical flow estimation and local feature matching, previous works are primarily categorized into dense matching and sparse feature matching focusing on specialized architectures along with task-specific datasets, which may somewhat hinder the generalization performance of specialized models. In this paper, we propose a deep model for sparse and dense matching, termed RGM (Robust Generalist Matching). In particular, we elaborately design a cascaded GRU module for refinement by exploring the geometric similarity iteratively at multiple scales following an additional uncertainty estimation module for sparsification. To narrow the gap between synthetic training samples and real-world scenarios, we build a new, large-scale dataset with sparse correspondence ground truth by generating optical flow supervision with greater intervals. As such, we are able to mix up various dense and sparse matching datasets, significantly improving the training diversity. The generalization capacity of our proposed RGM is greatly improved by learning the matching and uncertainty estimation in a two-stage manner on the large, mixed data. Superior performance is achieved for zero-shot matching and downstream geometry estimation across multiple datasets, outperforming the previous methods by a large margin.

Prioritized Semantic Learning for Zero-shot Instance Navigation

We study zero-shot instance navigation, in which the agent navigates to a specific object without using object annotations for training. Previous object navigation approaches apply the image-goal navigation (ImageNav) task (go to the location of an image) for pretraining, and transfer the agent to achieve object goals using a vision-language model. However, these approaches lead to issues of semantic neglect, where the model fails to learn meaningful semantic alignments. In this paper, we propose a Prioritized Semantic Learning (PSL) method to improve the semantic understanding ability of navigation agents. Specifically, a semantic-enhanced PSL agent is proposed and a prioritized semantic training strategy is introduced to select goal images that exhibit clear semantic supervision and relax the reward function from strict exact view matching. At inference time, a semantic expansion inference scheme is designed to preserve the same granularity level of the goal semantic as training. Furthermore, for the popular HM3D environment, we present an Instance Navigation (InstanceNav) task that requires going to a specific object instance with detailed descriptions, as opposed to the Object Navigation (ObjectNav) task where the goal is defined merely by the object category. Our PSL agent outperforms the previous state-of-the-art by 66% on zero-shot ObjectNav in terms of success rate and is also superior on the new InstanceNav task. TIGER-FG: Text-Guided Implicit Fine-Grained Grounding for E-commerce Retrieval

E-commerce image search often takes a cropped image as the query, while each candidate is represented by full item images and structured text. This image-to-multimodal retrieval setting presents two asymmetries: a modality disparity -- a visual query must match image--text items, and a granularity disparity -- a cropped query must be compared with full images containing background context and possible distractors. Detection-based pipelines handle the granularity disparity through explicit localization but incur extra cost and error propagation, whereas CLIP-style encoders avoid detection, but are vulnerable to backgrounds or irrelevant items. To address these limitations, we propose TIGER-FG, a text-guided implicit fine-grained grounding framework for image-to-multimodal e-commerce retrieval. TIGER-FG uses item text as semantic guidance to produce target-focused item representations without object detection for retrieval. We further introduce dual distillation objectives that preserve target-region spatial consistency and query--item similarity structure, yielding more stable and discriminative multimodal representations. In addition, we construct ECom-RF-IMMR, a realistic benchmark suite with a 10M-pair training set and two evaluation benchmarks covering standard and cluttered item layouts. TIGER-FG improves Recall@1 over the strongest baseline by 6.1 and 34.4 percentage points on the two evaluation benchmarks, respectively, with only 85.7M query-side parameters and 256-dim embeddings. Results on public e-commerce benchmarks further demonstrate its generalization to noisy and one-to-many retrieval scenarios. Code and data will be released.

Contrastive Vision-Language Alignment Makes Efficient Instruction Learner

We study the task of extending the large language model (LLM) into a vision-language instruction-following model. This task is crucial but challenging since the LLM is trained on text modality only, making it hard to effectively digest the visual modality. To address this, existing methods typically train a visual adapter to align the representation between a pre-trained vision transformer (ViT) and the LLM by a generative image captioning loss. However, we find that the generative objective can only produce weak alignment for vision and language, making the aligned vision-language model very hungry for the instruction fine-tuning data. In this paper, we propose CG-VLM that applies both Contrastive and Generative alignment objectives to effectively align the representation of ViT and LLM. Different from image level and sentence level alignment in common contrastive learning settings, CG-VLM aligns the image-patch level features and text-token level embeddings, which, however, is very hard to achieve as no explicit grounding patch-token relation provided in standard image captioning datasets. To address this issue, we propose to maximize the averaged similarity between pooled image-patch features and text-token embeddings. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed CG-VLM produces strong vision-language alignment and is an efficient instruction learner. For example, using only 10% instruction tuning data, we reach 95% performance of state-of-the-art method LLaVA [29] on the zero-shot ScienceQA-Image benchmark.

Shapley-Guided Neural Repair Approach via Derivative-Free Optimization

DNNs are susceptible to defects like backdoors, adversarial attacks, and unfairness, undermining their reliability. Existing approaches mainly involve retraining, optimization, constraint-solving, or search algorithms. However, most methods rely on gradient calculations, restricting applicability to specific activation functions (e.g., ReLU), or use search algorithms with uninterpretable localization and repair. Furthermore, they often lack generalizability across multiple properties. We propose SHARPEN, integrating interpretable fault localization with a derivative-free optimization strategy. First, SHARPEN introduces a Deep SHAP-based localization strategy quantifying each layer's and neuron's marginal contribution to erroneous outputs. Specifically, a hierarchical coarse-to-fine approach reranks layers by aggregated impact, then locates faulty neurons/filters by analyzing activation divergences between property-violating and benign states. Subsequently, SHARPEN incorporates CMA-ES to repair identified neurons. CMA-ES leverages a covariance matrix to capture variable dependencies, enabling gradient-free search and coordinated adjustments across coupled neurons. By combining interpretable localization with evolutionary optimization, SHARPEN enables derivative-free repair across architectures, being less sensitive to gradient anomalies and hyperparameters. We demonstrate SHARPEN's effectiveness on three repair tasks. Balancing property repair and accuracy preservation, it outperforms baselines in backdoor removal (+10.56%), adversarial mitigation (+5.78%), and unfairness repair (+11.82%). Notably, SHARPEN handles diverse tasks, and its modular design is plug-and-play with different derivative-free optimizers, highlighting its flexibility.

SKDF: A Simple Knowledge Distillation Framework for Distilling Open-Vocabulary Knowledge to Open-world Object Detector

In this paper, we attempt to specialize the VLM model for OWOD tasks by distilling its open-world knowledge into a language-agnostic detector. Surprisingly, we observe that the combination of a simple \textbf{knowledge distillation} approach and the automatic pseudo-labeling mechanism in OWOD can achieve better performance for unknown object detection, even with a small amount of data. Unfortunately, knowledge distillation for unknown objects severely affects the learning of detectors with conventional structures for known objects, leading to catastrophic forgetting. To alleviate these problems, we propose the \textbf{down-weight loss function} for knowledge distillation from vision-language to single vision modality. Meanwhile, we propose the \textbf{cascade decouple decoding structure} that decouples the learning of localization and recognition to reduce the impact of category interactions of known and unknown objects on the localization learning process. Ablation experiments demonstrate that both of them are effective in mitigating the impact of open-world knowledge distillation on the learning of known objects. Additionally, to alleviate the current lack of comprehensive benchmarks for evaluating the ability of the open-world detector to detect unknown objects in the open world, we propose two benchmarks, which we name "\textbf{StandardSet}$\heartsuit$" and "\textbf{IntensiveSet}$\spadesuit$" respectively, based on the complexity of their testing scenarios. Comprehensive experiments performed on OWOD, MS-COCO, and our proposed benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of our methods. UniDGF: A Unified Detection-to-Generation Framework for Hierarchical Object Visual Recognition

Achieving visual semantic understanding requires a unified framework that simultaneously handles object detection, category prediction, and attribute recognition. However, current advanced approaches rely on global similarity and struggle to capture fine-grained category distinctions and category-specific attribute diversity, especially in large-scale e-commerce scenarios. To overcome these challenges, we introduce a detection-guided generative framework that predicts hierarchical category and attribute tokens. For each detected object, we extract refined ROI-level features and employ a BART-based generator to produce semantic tokens in a coarse-to-fine sequence covering category hierarchies and property-value pairs, with support for property-conditioned attribute recognition. Experiments on both large-scale proprietary e-commerce datasets and open-source datasets demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms existing similarity-based pipelines and multi-stage classification systems, achieving stronger fine-grained recognition and more coherent unified inference.

Virtual Community: An Open World for Humans, Robots, and Society

The rapid progress in AI and Robotics may lead to a profound societal transformation, as humans and robots begin to coexist within shared communities, introducing both opportunities and challenges. To explore this future, we present Virtual Community-an open-world platform for humans, robots, and society-built on a universal physics engine and grounded in real-world 3D scenes. With Virtual Community, we aim to study embodied social intelligence at scale: 1) How robots can intelligently cooperate or compete; 2) How humans develop social relations and build community; 3) More importantly, how intelligent robots and humans can co-exist in an open world. To support these, Virtual Community features: 1) An open-source multi-agent physics simulator that supports robots, humans, and their interactions within a society; 2) A large-scale, real-world aligned community generation pipeline, including vast outdoor space, diverse indoor scenes, and a community of grounded agents with rich characters and appearances. Leveraging Virtual Community, we propose two novel challenges. The Community Planning Challenge evaluates multi-agent reasoning and planning ability in open-world settings, such as cooperating to help agents with daily activities and efficiently connecting other agents. The Community Robot Challenge requires multiple heterogeneous robots to collaborate in solving complex open-world tasks. We evaluate various baselines on these tasks and demonstrate the challenges in both high-level open-world task planning and low-level cooperation controls. We hope that Virtual Community will unlock further study of human-robot coexistence within open-world environments.

IPAD-CLIP: Teaching CLIP to Detect Image Local Perceptual Artifacts

Current image quality assessment methods are heavily biased towards global distortions (e.g., noise, blur), neglecting local perceptual artifacts such as ghosting, lens flare, and moire effects. Although significant progress has been made in artifact removal, the fundamental problem of automatic artifact detection remains largely unexplored. In this paper, we formalize the Image Perceptual Artifact Detection (IPAD) task to address this gap. We contribute a benchmark dataset comprising 3,520 artifact images, including 520 real-captured and 3,000 synthetic samples, each paired with pixel-level masks across three representative artifact categories. The core challenge of IPAD lies in the localized, subtle, and semantically weak nature of these artifacts, which makes them prone to missed detection. To overcome this, we introduce IPAD-CLIP, a novel framework built upon CLIP that enhances artifact discrimination in both textual and visual spaces while preserving generalization capabilities. Our key insight is that local artifacts often exhibit strong correlations with specific semantic contexts. Accordingly, we learn artifact-aware text embeddings to explicitly model the object-artifact relationships, resulting in enhanced representations that clear differentiate between clean and artifact prompts. These text embeddings are then used as anchors to shift the visual encoder's attention from high-level semantics to subtle, low-level artifacts. Extensive experiments demonstrate that IPAD-CLIP offers a resource-efficient adaptation of CLIP for detection, significantly outperforming advanced image anomaly detection and manipulation detection methods on our benchmark. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study addressing multi-class local perceptual artifact detection in terms of both dataset and model.

LSceneLLM: Enhancing Large 3D Scene Understanding Using Adaptive Visual Preferences

Research on 3D Vision-Language Models (3D-VLMs) is gaining increasing attention, which is crucial for developing embodied AI within 3D scenes, such as visual navigation and embodied question answering. Due to the high density of visual features, especially in large 3D scenes, accurately locating task-relevant visual information is challenging. Existing works attempt to segment all objects and consider their features as scene representations. However, these task-agnostic object features include much redundant information and missing details for the task-relevant area. To tackle these problems, we propose LSceneLLM, an adaptive framework that automatically identifies task-relevant areas by leveraging LLM's visual preference for different tasks, followed by a plug-and-play scene magnifier module to capture fine-grained details in focused areas. Specifically, a dense token selector examines the attention map of LLM to identify visual preferences for the instruction input. It then magnifies fine-grained details of the focusing area. An adaptive self-attention module is leveraged to fuse the coarse-grained and selected fine-grained visual information. To comprehensively evaluate the large scene understanding ability of 3D-VLMs, we further introduce a cross-room understanding benchmark, XR-Scene, which contains a series of large scene understanding tasks including XR-QA, XR-EmbodiedPlanning, and XR-SceneCaption. Experiments show that our method surpasses existing methods on both large scene understanding and existing scene understanding benchmarks. Plunging our scene magnifier module into the existing 3D-VLMs also brings significant improvement.

OneVision: An End-to-End Generative Framework for Multi-view E-commerce Vision Search

Traditional vision search, similar to search and recommendation systems, follows the multi-stage cascading architecture (MCA) paradigm to balance efficiency and conversion. Specifically, the query image undergoes feature extraction, recall, pre-ranking, and ranking stages, ultimately presenting the user with semantically similar products that meet their preferences. This multi-view representation discrepancy of the same object in the query and the optimization objective collide across these stages, making it difficult to achieve Pareto optimality in both user experience and conversion. In this paper, an end-to-end generative framework, OneVision, is proposed to address these problems. OneVision builds on VRQ, a vision-aligned residual quantization encoding, which can align the vastly different representations of an object across multiple viewpoints while preserving the distinctive features of each product as much as possible. Then a multi-stage semantic alignment scheme is adopted to maintain strong visual similarity priors while effectively incorporating user-specific information for personalized preference generation. In offline evaluations, OneVision performs on par with online MCA, while improving inference efficiency by 21% through dynamic pruning. In A/B tests, it achieves significant online improvements: +2.15% item CTR, +2.27% CVR, and +3.12% order volume. These results demonstrate that a semantic ID centric, generative architecture can unify retrieval and personalization while simplifying the serving pathway.

CoNav: A Benchmark for Human-Centered Collaborative Navigation

Human-robot collaboration, in which the robot intelligently assists the human with the upcoming task, is an appealing objective. To achieve this goal, the agent needs to be equipped with a fundamental collaborative navigation ability, where the agent should reason human intention by observing human activities and then navigate to the human's intended destination in advance of the human. However, this vital ability has not been well studied in previous literature. To fill this gap, we propose a collaborative navigation (CoNav) benchmark. Our CoNav tackles the critical challenge of constructing a 3D navigation environment with realistic and diverse human activities. To achieve this, we design a novel LLM-based humanoid animation generation framework, which is conditioned on both text descriptions and environmental context. The generated humanoid trajectory obeys the environmental context and can be easily integrated into popular simulators. We empirically find that the existing navigation methods struggle in CoNav task since they neglect the perception of human intention. To solve this problem, we propose an intention-aware agent for reasoning both long-term and short-term human intention. The agent predicts navigation action based on the predicted intention and panoramic observation. The emergent agent behavior including observing humans, avoiding human collision, and navigation reveals the efficiency of the proposed datasets and agents.
