Delving into Discrete Normalizing Flows on SO(3) Manifold for Probabilistic Rotation ModelingYulin Liu, Haoran Liu, Yingda Yin et al.
Normalizing flows (NFs) provide a powerful tool to construct an expressive distribution by a sequence of trackable transformations of a base distribution and form a probabilistic model of underlying data. Rotation, as an important quantity in computer vision, graphics, and robotics, can exhibit many ambiguities when occlusion and symmetry occur and thus demands such probabilistic models. Though much progress has been made for NFs in Euclidean space, there are no effective normalizing flows without discontinuity or many-to-one mapping tailored for SO(3) manifold. Given the unique non-Euclidean properties of the rotation manifold, adapting the existing NFs to SO(3) manifold is non-trivial. In this paper, we propose a novel normalizing flow on SO(3) by combining a Mobius transformation-based coupling layer and a quaternion affine transformation. With our proposed rotation normalizing flows, one can not only effectively express arbitrary distributions on SO(3), but also conditionally build the target distribution given input observations. Extensive experiments show that our rotation normalizing flows significantly outperform the baselines on both unconditional and conditional tasks.

SpaRP: Fast 3D Object Reconstruction and Pose Estimation from Sparse ViewsChao Xu, Ang Li, Linghao Chen et al.
Open-world 3D generation has recently attracted considerable attention. While many single-image-to-3D methods have yielded visually appealing outcomes, they often lack sufficient controllability and tend to produce hallucinated regions that may not align with users' expectations. In this paper, we explore an important scenario in which the input consists of one or a few unposed 2D images of a single object, with little or no overlap. We propose a novel method, SpaRP, to reconstruct a 3D textured mesh and estimate the relative camera poses for these sparse-view images. SpaRP distills knowledge from 2D diffusion models and finetunes them to implicitly deduce the 3D spatial relationships between the sparse views. The diffusion model is trained to jointly predict surrogate representations for camera poses and multi-view images of the object under known poses, integrating all information from the input sparse views. These predictions are then leveraged to accomplish 3D reconstruction and pose estimation, and the reconstructed 3D model can be used to further refine the camera poses of input views. Through extensive experiments on three datasets, we demonstrate that our method not only significantly outperforms baseline methods in terms of 3D reconstruction quality and pose prediction accuracy but also exhibits strong efficiency. AnyHand: A Large-Scale Synthetic Dataset for RGB(-D) Hand Pose EstimationChen Si, Yulin Liu, Bo Ai et al.
We present AnyHand, a large-scale synthetic dataset designed to advance the state of the art in 3D hand pose estimation from both RGB-only and RGB-D inputs. While recent works with foundation approaches have shown that an increase in the quantity and diversity of training data can markedly improve performance and robustness in hand pose estimation, existing real-world-collected datasets on this task are limited in coverage, and prior synthetic datasets rarely provide occlusions, arm details, and aligned depth together at scale. To address this bottleneck, our AnyHand contains 2.5M single-hand and 4.1M hand-object interaction RGB-D images, with rich geometric annotations. In the RGB-only setting, we show that extending the original training sets of existing baselines with AnyHand yields significant gains on multiple benchmarks (FreiHAND and HO-3D), even when keeping the architecture and training scheme fixed. More impressively, the model trained with AnyHand shows stronger generalization to the out-of-domain HO-Cap dataset, without any fine-tuning. We also contribute a lightweight depth fusion module that can be easily integrated into existing RGB-based models. Trained with AnyHand, the resulting RGB-D model achieves superior performance on the HO-3D benchmark, showing the benefits of depth integration and the effectiveness of our synthetic data.

UI-Venus Technical Report: Building High-performance UI Agents with RFTZhangxuan Gu, Zhengwen Zeng, Zhenyu Xu et al.
We present UI-Venus, a native UI agent that takes only screenshots as input based on a multimodal large language model. UI-Venus achieves SOTA performance on both UI grounding and navigation tasks using only several hundred thousand high-quality training samples through reinforcement finetune (RFT) based on Qwen2.5-VL. Specifically, the 7B and 72B variants of UI-Venus obtain 94.1% / 50.8% and 95.3% / 61.9% on the standard grounding benchmarks, i.e., Screenspot-V2 / Pro, surpassing the previous SOTA baselines including open-source GTA1 and closed-source UI-TARS-1.5. To show UI-Venus's summary and planing ability, we also evaluate it on the AndroidWorld, an online UI navigation arena, on which our 7B and 72B variants achieve 49.1% and 65.9% success rate, also beating existing models. To achieve this, we introduce carefully designed reward functions for both UI grounding and navigation tasks and corresponding efficient data cleaning strategies. To further boost navigation performance, we propose Self-Evolving Trajectory History Alignment & Sparse Action Enhancement that refine historical reasoning traces and balances the distribution of sparse but critical actions, leading to more coherent planning and better generalization in complex UI tasks. Our contributions include the publish of SOTA open-source UI agents, comprehensive data cleaning protocols and a novel self-evolving framework for improving navigation performance, which encourage further research and development in the community. GUI agents have emerged as a powerful paradigm for automating interactions in digital environments, yet achieving both broad generality and consistently strong task performance remains challenging.In this report, we present UI-Venus-1.5, a unified, end-to-end GUI Agent designed for robust real-world applications.The proposed model family comprises two dense variants (2B and 8B) and one mixture-of-experts variant (30B-A3B) to meet various downstream application scenarios.Compared to our previous version, UI-Venus-1.5 introduces three key technical advances: (1) a comprehensive Mid-Training stage leveraging 10 billion tokens across 30+ datasets to establish foundational GUI semantics; (2) Online Reinforcement Learning with full-trajectory rollouts, aligning training objectives with long-horizon, dynamic navigation in large-scale environments; and (3) a single unified GUI Agent constructed via Model Merging, which synthesizes domain-specific models (grounding, web, and mobile) into one cohesive checkpoint. Extensive evaluations demonstrate that UI-Venus-1.5 establishes new state-of-the-art performance on benchmarks such as ScreenSpot-Pro (69.6%), VenusBench-GD (75.0%), and AndroidWorld (77.6%), significantly outperforming previous strong baselines. In addition, UI-Venus-1.5 demonstrates robust navigation capabilities across a variety of Chinese mobile apps, effectively executing user instructions in real-world scenarios. LungCURE: Benchmarking Multimodal Real-World Clinical Reasoning for Precision Lung Cancer Diagnosis and TreatmentFangyu Hao, Jiayu Yang, Yifan Zhu et al.
Lung cancer clinical decision support demands precise reasoning across complex, multi-stage oncological workflows. Existing multimodal large language models (MLLMs) fail to handle guideline-constrained staging and treatment reasoning. We formalize three oncological precision treatment (OPT) tasks for lung cancer, spanning TNM staging, treatment recommendation, and end-to-end clinical decision support. We introduce LungCURE, the first standardized multimodal benchmark built from 1,000 real-world, clinician-labeled cases across more than 10 hospitals. We further propose LCAgent, a multi-agent framework that ensures guideline-compliant lung cancer clinical decision-making by suppressing cascading reasoning errors across the clinical pathway. Experiments reveal large differences across various large language models (LLMs) in their capabilities for complex medical reasoning, when given precise treatment requirements. We further verify that LCAgent, as a simple yet effective plugin, enhances the reasoning performance of LLMs in real-world medical scenarios.

Cryptocurrency Valuation: An Explainable AI ApproachYulin Liu, Luyao Zhang
Currently, there are no convincing proxies for the fundamentals of cryptocurrency assets. We propose a new market-to-fundamental ratio, the price-to-utility (PU) ratio, utilizing unique blockchain accounting methods. We then proxy various existing fundamental-to-market ratios by Bitcoin historical data and find they have little predictive power for short-term bitcoin returns. However, PU ratio effectively predicts long-term bitcoin returns than alternative methods. Furthermore, we verify the explainability of PU ratio using machine learning. Finally, we present an automated trading strategy advised by the PU ratio that outperforms the conventional buy-and-hold and market-timing strategies. Our research contributes to explainable AI in finance from three facets: First, our market-to-fundamental ratio is based on classic monetary theory and the unique UTXO model of Bitcoin accounting rather than ad hoc; Second, the empirical evidence testifies the buy-low and sell-high implications of the ratio; Finally, we distribute the trading algorithms as open-source software via Python Package Index for future research, which is exceptional in finance research.

Data-Driven Contextual-Aware Uncertainty Set for Robust Dispatch of Power SystemsZhaojun Ruan, Yulin Liu, Le Fu et al.
Both the level of conservativeness and the computational burden in robust optimization are critically influenced by uncertainty set design. However, contextual side information is rarely exploited in robust dispatch of power systems characterized by irregular data distributions, which hinders the explicit characterization of the relationship between covariates and uncertain parameters. To address this issue, a data-driven method for constructing contextual-aware uncertainty set is proposed in this letter. Based on a conditional Gaussian mixture model, a set of covariates is leveraged as side information to design uncertainty sets tailored to historical data exhibiting irregular distributions. The resulting set is formulated as a union-of-subsets formulation, and a mixed integer linear reformulation is adopted to describe the worst-case realization across all subsets. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through numerical experiments applied to robust unit commitment.

Generic 3D Diffusion Adapter Using Controlled Multi-View EditingHansheng Chen, Ruoxi Shi, Yulin Liu et al.
Open-domain 3D object synthesis has been lagging behind image synthesis due to limited data and higher computational complexity. To bridge this gap, recent works have investigated multi-view diffusion but often fall short in either 3D consistency, visual quality, or efficiency. This paper proposes MVEdit, which functions as a 3D counterpart of SDEdit, employing ancestral sampling to jointly denoise multi-view images and output high-quality textured meshes. Built on off-the-shelf 2D diffusion models, MVEdit achieves 3D consistency through a training-free 3D Adapter, which lifts the 2D views of the last timestep into a coherent 3D representation, then conditions the 2D views of the next timestep using rendered views, without uncompromising visual quality. With an inference time of only 2-5 minutes, this framework achieves better trade-off between quality and speed than score distillation. MVEdit is highly versatile and extendable, with a wide range of applications including text/image-to-3D generation, 3D-to-3D editing, and high-quality texture synthesis. In particular, evaluations demonstrate state-of-the-art performance in both image-to-3D and text-guided texture generation tasks. Additionally, we introduce a method for fine-tuning 2D latent diffusion models on small 3D datasets with limited resources, enabling fast low-resolution text-to-3D initialization.

3D-Adapter: Geometry-Consistent Multi-View Diffusion for High-Quality 3D GenerationHansheng Chen, Bokui Shen, Yulin Liu et al.
Multi-view image diffusion models have significantly advanced open-domain 3D object generation. However, most existing models rely on 2D network architectures that lack inherent 3D biases, resulting in compromised geometric consistency. To address this challenge, we introduce 3D-Adapter, a plug-in module designed to infuse 3D geometry awareness into pretrained image diffusion models. Central to our approach is the idea of 3D feedback augmentation: for each denoising step in the sampling loop, 3D-Adapter decodes intermediate multi-view features into a coherent 3D representation, then re-encodes the rendered RGBD views to augment the pretrained base model through feature addition. We study two variants of 3D-Adapter: a fast feed-forward version based on Gaussian splatting and a versatile training-free version utilizing neural fields and meshes. Our extensive experiments demonstrate that 3D-Adapter not only greatly enhances the geometry quality of text-to-multi-view models such as Instant3D and Zero123++, but also enables high-quality 3D generation using the plain text-to-image Stable Diffusion. Furthermore, we showcase the broad application potential of 3D-Adapter by presenting high quality results in text-to-3D, image-to-3D, text-to-texture, and text-to-avatar tasks.

A dataset of early blockchain-registered AI agents on EthereumYulin Liu
This study presents a structured dataset of blockchain-registered artificial intelligence agents under the ERC-8004 standard on Ethereum. The dataset integrates on-chain identity records, minting transactions, transfer events, reputation summaries, and individual feedback records, together with resolved off-chain metadata where available. Data were collected from Ethereum mainnet using Web3 RPC queries and processed into tabular form to enable reproducible analysis. The dataset covers 10,000 agents within a defined block range and includes both event-level records and aggregated summaries. It enables empirical research on agent identity formation, reputation systems, service exposure, and early-stage decentralized AI ecosystems. This resource supports studies in blockchain analytics, decentralized trust infrastructure, and the emerging agentic economy.

Learning Adaptive Dexterous Grasping from Single DemonstrationsLiangzhi Shi, Yulin Liu, Lingqi Zeng et al.
How can robots learn dexterous grasping skills efficiently and apply them adaptively based on user instructions? This work tackles two key challenges: efficient skill acquisition from limited human demonstrations and context-driven skill selection. We introduce AdaDexGrasp, a framework that learns a library of grasping skills from a single human demonstration per skill and selects the most suitable one using a vision-language model (VLM). To improve sample efficiency, we propose a trajectory following reward that guides reinforcement learning (RL) toward states close to a human demonstration while allowing flexibility in exploration. To learn beyond the single demonstration, we employ curriculum learning, progressively increasing object pose variations to enhance robustness. At deployment, a VLM retrieves the appropriate skill based on user instructions, bridging low-level learned skills with high-level intent. We evaluate AdaDexGrasp in both simulation and real-world settings, showing that our approach significantly improves RL efficiency and enables learning human-like grasp strategies across varied object configurations. Finally, we demonstrate zero-shot transfer of our learned policies to a real-world PSYONIC Ability Hand, with a 90% success rate across objects, significantly outperforming the baseline.

EconAgentic in DePIN Markets: A Large Language Model Approach to the Sharing Economy of Decentralized Physical InfrastructureYulin Liu, Mocca Schweitzer
The Decentralized Physical Infrastructure (DePIN) market is revolutionizing the sharing economy through token-based economics and smart contracts that govern decentralized operations. By 2024, DePIN projects have exceeded \$10 billion in market capitalization, underscoring their rapid growth. However, the unregulated nature of these markets, coupled with the autonomous deployment of AI agents in smart contracts, introduces risks such as inefficiencies and potential misalignment with human values. To address these concerns, we introduce EconAgentic, a Large Language Model (LLM)-powered framework designed to mitigate these challenges. Our research focuses on three key areas: 1) modeling the dynamic evolution of DePIN markets, 2) evaluating stakeholders' actions and their economic impacts, and 3) analyzing macroeconomic indicators to align market outcomes with societal goals. Through EconAgentic, we simulate how AI agents respond to token incentives, invest in infrastructure, and adapt to market conditions, comparing AI-driven decisions with human heuristic benchmarks. Our results show that EconAgentic provides valuable insights into the efficiency, inclusion, and stability of DePIN markets, contributing to both academic understanding and practical improvements in the design and governance of decentralized, tokenized economies.

When Noisy Labels Meet Class Imbalance on Graphs: A Graph Augmentation Method with LLM and Pseudo LabelRiting Xia, Rucong Wang, Yulin Liu et al.
Class-imbalanced graph node classification is a practical yet underexplored research problem. Although recent studies have attempted to address this issue, they typically assume clean and reliable labels when processing class-imbalanced graphs. This assumption often violates the nature of real-world graphs, where labels frequently contain noise. Given this gap, this paper systematically investigates robust node classification for class-imbalanced graphs with noisy labels. We propose GraphALP, a novel Graph Augmentation framework based on Large language models (LLMs) and Pseudo-labeling techniques. Specifically, we design an LLM-based oversampling method to generate synthetic minority nodes, producing label-accurate minority nodes to alleviate class imbalance. Based on the class-balanced graphs, we develop a dynamically weighted pseudo-labeling method to obtain high-confidence pseudo labels to reduce label noise ratio. Additionally, we implement a secondary LLM-guided oversampling mechanism to mitigate potential class distribution skew caused by pseudo labels. Experimental results show that GraphALP achieves superior performance over state-of-the-art methods on class-imbalanced graphs with noisy labels.

Mining the Explainability and Generalization: Fact Verification Based on Self-InstructionGuangyao Lu, Yulin Liu
Fact-checking based on commercial LLMs has become mainstream. Although these methods offer high explainability, it falls short in accuracy compared to traditional fine-tuning approaches, and data security is also a significant concern. In this paper, we propose a self-instruction based fine-tuning approach for fact-checking that balances accuracy and explainability. Our method consists of Data Augmentation and Improved DPO fine-tuning. The former starts by instructing the model to generate both positive and negative explanations based on claim-evidence pairs and labels, then sampling the dataset according to our customized difficulty standards. The latter employs our proposed improved DPO to fine-tune the model using the generated samples. We fine-tune the smallest-scale LLaMA-7B model and evaluate it on the challenging fact-checking datasets FEVEROUS and HOVER, utilizing four fine-tuning methods and three few-shot learning methods for comparison. The experiments demonstrate that our approach not only retains accuracy comparable to, or even surpassing, traditional fine-tuning methods, but also generates fluent explanation text. Moreover, it also exhibit high generalization performance. Our method is the first to leverage self-supervised learning for fact-checking and innovatively combines contrastive learning and improved DPO in fine-tuning LLMs, as shown in the experiments.

Empirical Analysis of EIP-1559: Transaction Fees, Waiting Time, and Consensus SecurityYulin Liu, Yuxuan Lu, Kartik Nayak et al.
A transaction fee mechanism (TFM) is an essential component of a blockchain protocol. However, a systematic evaluation of the real-world impact of TFMs is still absent. Using rich data from the Ethereum blockchain, the mempool, and exchanges, we study the effect of EIP-1559, one of the earliest-deployed TFMs that depart from the traditional first-price auction paradigm. We conduct a rigorous and comprehensive empirical study to examine its causal effect on blockchain transaction fee dynamics, transaction waiting times, and consensus security. Our results show that EIP-1559 improves the user experience by mitigating intrablock differences in the gas price paid and reducing users' waiting times. However, EIP-1559 has only a small effect on gas fee levels and consensus security. In addition, we find that when Ether's price is more volatile, the waiting time is significantly higher. We also verify that a larger block size increases the presence of siblings. These findings suggest new directions for improving TFMs.

Centralized monetary policy, leading to persistent inflation, is often inconsistent, untrustworthy, and unpredictable. Algorithmic stablecoins enabled by blockchain technology are promising in solving this problem. Algorithmic stablecoins utilize a monetary policy that is entirely rule-based. However, there is little understanding of how to optimize the rule. We propose a model that trade-off the price for supply stability. We further study the comparative statics by varying several design features. Finally, we discuss the empirical implications for designing stablecoins by the private sector and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) by the public sector.

Modeling Household Online Shopping Demand in the U.S.: A Machine Learning Approach and Comparative Investigation between 2009 and 2017Limon Barua, Bo Zou, Yan et al.
Despite the rapid growth of online shopping and research interest in the relationship between online and in-store shopping, national-level modeling and investigation of the demand for online shopping with a prediction focus remain limited in the literature. This paper differs from prior work and leverages two recent releases of the U.S. National Household Travel Survey (NHTS) data for 2009 and 2017 to develop machine learning (ML) models, specifically gradient boosting machine (GBM), for predicting household-level online shopping purchases. The NHTS data allow for not only conducting nationwide investigation but also at the level of households, which is more appropriate than at the individual level given the connected consumption and shopping needs of members in a household. We follow a systematic procedure for model development including employing Recursive Feature Elimination algorithm to select input variables (features) in order to reduce the risk of model overfitting and increase model explainability. Extensive post-modeling investigation is conducted in a comparative manner between 2009 and 2017, including quantifying the importance of each input variable in predicting online shopping demand, and characterizing value-dependent relationships between demand and the input variables. In doing so, two latest advances in machine learning techniques, namely Shapley value-based feature importance and Accumulated Local Effects plots, are adopted to overcome inherent drawbacks of the popular techniques in current ML modeling. The modeling and investigation are performed both at the national level and for three of the largest cities (New York, Los Angeles, and Houston). The models developed and insights gained can be used for online shopping-related freight demand generation and may also be considered for evaluating the potential impact of relevant policies on online shopping demand.

Cross-modality Knowledge Transfer for Prostate Segmentation from CT ScansYucheng Liu, Naji Khosravan, Yulin Liu et al.
Creating large scale high-quality annotations is a known challenge in medical imaging. In this work, based on the CycleGAN algorithm, we propose leveraging annotations from one modality to be useful in other modalities. More specifically, the proposed algorithm creates highly realistic synthetic CT images (SynCT) from prostate MR images using unpaired data sets. By using SynCT images (without segmentation labels) and MR images (with segmentation labels available), we have trained a deep segmentation network for precise delineation of prostate from real CT scans. For the generator in our CycleGAN, the cycle consistency term is used to guarantee that SynCT shares the identical manually-drawn, high-quality masks originally delineated on MR images. Further, we introduce a cost function based on structural similarity index (SSIM) to improve the anatomical similarity between real and synthetic images. For segmentation followed by the SynCT generation from CycleGAN, automatic delineation is achieved through a 2.5D Residual U-Net. Quantitative evaluation demonstrates comparable segmentation results between our SynCT and radiologist drawn masks for real CT images, solving an important problem in medical image segmentation field when ground truth annotations are not available for the modality of interest.

Predicting Aircraft Trajectories: A Deep Generative Convolutional Recurrent Neural Networks ApproachYulin Liu, Mark Hansen
Reliable 4D aircraft trajectory prediction, whether in a real-time setting or for analysis of counterfactuals, is important to the efficiency of the aviation system. Toward this end, we first propose a highly generalizable efficient tree-based matching algorithm to construct image-like feature maps from high-fidelity meteorological datasets - wind, temperature and convective weather. We then model the track points on trajectories as conditional Gaussian mixtures with parameters to be learned from our proposed deep generative model, which is an end-to-end convolutional recurrent neural network that consists of a long short-term memory (LSTM) encoder network and a mixture density LSTM decoder network. The encoder network embeds last-filed flight plan information into fixed-size hidden state variables and feeds the decoder network, which further learns the spatiotemporal correlations from the historical flight tracks and outputs the parameters of Gaussian mixtures. Convolutional layers are integrated into the pipeline to learn representations from the high-dimension weather features. During the inference process, beam search, adaptive Kalman filter, and Rauch-Tung-Striebel smoother algorithms are used to prune the variance of generated trajectories.
