LinK: Linear Kernel for LiDAR-based 3D PerceptionTao Lu, Xiang Ding, Haisong Liu et al.
Extending the success of 2D Large Kernel to 3D perception is challenging due to: 1. the cubically-increasing overhead in processing 3D data; 2. the optimization difficulties from data scarcity and sparsity. Previous work has taken the first step to scale up the kernel size from 3x3x3 to 7x7x7 by introducing block-shared weights. However, to reduce the feature variations within a block, it only employs modest block size and fails to achieve larger kernels like the 21x21x21. To address this issue, we propose a new method, called LinK, to achieve a wider-range perception receptive field in a convolution-like manner with two core designs. The first is to replace the static kernel matrix with a linear kernel generator, which adaptively provides weights only for non-empty voxels. The second is to reuse the pre-computed aggregation results in the overlapped blocks to reduce computation complexity. The proposed method successfully enables each voxel to perceive context within a range of 21x21x21. Extensive experiments on two basic perception tasks, 3D object detection and 3D semantic segmentation, demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. Notably, we rank 1st on the public leaderboard of the 3D detection benchmark of nuScenes (LiDAR track), by simply incorporating a LinK-based backbone into the basic detector, CenterPoint. We also boost the strong segmentation baseline's mIoU with 2.7% in the SemanticKITTI test set. Code is available at https://github.com/MCG-NJU/LinK.

Learning Optical Flow and Scene Flow with Bidirectional Camera-LiDAR FusionHaisong Liu, Tao Lu, Yihui Xu et al.
In this paper, we study the problem of jointly estimating the optical flow and scene flow from synchronized 2D and 3D data. Previous methods either employ a complex pipeline that splits the joint task into independent stages, or fuse 2D and 3D information in an ``early-fusion'' or ``late-fusion'' manner. Such one-size-fits-all approaches suffer from a dilemma of failing to fully utilize the characteristic of each modality or to maximize the inter-modality complementarity. To address the problem, we propose a novel end-to-end framework, which consists of 2D and 3D branches with multiple bidirectional fusion connections between them in specific layers. Different from previous work, we apply a point-based 3D branch to extract the LiDAR features, as it preserves the geometric structure of point clouds. To fuse dense image features and sparse point features, we propose a learnable operator named bidirectional camera-LiDAR fusion module (Bi-CLFM). We instantiate two types of the bidirectional fusion pipeline, one based on the pyramidal coarse-to-fine architecture (dubbed CamLiPWC), and the other one based on the recurrent all-pairs field transforms (dubbed CamLiRAFT). On FlyingThings3D, both CamLiPWC and CamLiRAFT surpass all existing methods and achieve up to a 47.9\% reduction in 3D end-point-error from the best published result. Our best-performing model, CamLiRAFT, achieves an error of 4.26\% on the KITTI Scene Flow benchmark, ranking 1st among all submissions with much fewer parameters. APP-Net: Auxiliary-point-based Push and Pull Operations for Efficient Point Cloud ClassificationTao Lu, Chunxu Liu, Youxin Chen et al.
Aggregating neighbor features is essential for point cloud classification. In the existing work, each point in the cloud may inevitably be selected as the neighbors of multiple aggregation centers, as all centers will gather neighbor features from the whole point cloud independently. Thus each point has to participate in the calculation repeatedly and generates redundant duplicates in the memory, leading to intensive computation costs and memory consumption. Meanwhile, to pursue higher accuracy, previous methods often rely on a complex local aggregator to extract fine geometric representation, which further slows down the classification pipeline. To address these issues, we propose a new local aggregator of linear complexity for point cloud classification, coined as APP. Specifically, we introduce an auxiliary container as an anchor to exchange features between the source point and the aggregating center. Each source point pushes its feature to only one auxiliary container, and each center point pulls features from only one auxiliary container. This avoids the re-computation issue of each source point. To facilitate the learning of the local structure of cloud point, we use an online normal estimation module to provide the explainable geometric information to enhance our APP modeling capability. Our built network is more efficient than all the previous baselines with a clear margin while still consuming a lower memory. Experiments on both synthetic and real datasets demonstrate that APP-Net reaches comparable accuracies to other networks. It can process more than 10,000 samples per second with less than 10GB of memory on a single GPU. We will release the code in https://github.com/MCG-NJU/APP-Net.

The Second Challenge on Real-World Face Restoration at NTIRE 2026: Methods and ResultsJingkai Wang, Jue Gong, Zheng Chen et al.
This paper provides a review of the NTIRE 2026 challenge on real-world face restoration, highlighting the proposed solutions and the resulting outcomes. The challenge focuses on generating natural and realistic outputs while maintaining identity consistency. Its goal is to advance state-of-the-art solutions for perceptual quality and realism, without imposing constraints on computational resources or training data. Performance is evaluated using a weighted image quality assessment (IQA) score and employs the AdaFace model as an identity checker. The competition attracted 96 registrants, with 10 teams submitting valid models; ultimately, 9 teams achieved valid scores in the final ranking. This collaborative effort advances the performance of real-world face restoration while offering an in-depth overview of the latest trends in the field.

UPL-SFDA: Uncertainty-aware Pseudo Label Guided Source-Free Domain Adaptation for Medical Image SegmentationJianghao Wu, Guotai Wang, Ran Gu et al.
Domain Adaptation (DA) is important for deep learning-based medical image segmentation models to deal with testing images from a new target domain. As the source-domain data are usually unavailable when a trained model is deployed at a new center, Source-Free Domain Adaptation (SFDA) is appealing for data and annotation-efficient adaptation to the target domain. However, existing SFDA methods have a limited performance due to lack of sufficient supervision with source-domain images unavailable and target-domain images unlabeled. We propose a novel Uncertainty-aware Pseudo Label guided (UPL) SFDA method for medical image segmentation. Specifically, we propose Target Domain Growing (TDG) to enhance the diversity of predictions in the target domain by duplicating the pre-trained model's prediction head multiple times with perturbations. The different predictions in these duplicated heads are used to obtain pseudo labels for unlabeled target-domain images and their uncertainty to identify reliable pseudo labels. We also propose a Twice Forward pass Supervision (TFS) strategy that uses reliable pseudo labels obtained in one forward pass to supervise predictions in the next forward pass. The adaptation is further regularized by a mean prediction-based entropy minimization term that encourages confident and consistent results in different prediction heads. UPL-SFDA was validated with a multi-site heart MRI segmentation dataset, a cross-modality fetal brain segmentation dataset, and a 3D fetal tissue segmentation dataset. It improved the average Dice by 5.54, 5.01 and 6.89 percentage points for the three tasks compared with the baseline, respectively, and outperformed several state-of-the-art SFDA methods.

SparseBEV: High-Performance Sparse 3D Object Detection from Multi-Camera VideosHaisong Liu, Yao Teng, Tao Lu et al.
Camera-based 3D object detection in BEV (Bird's Eye View) space has drawn great attention over the past few years. Dense detectors typically follow a two-stage pipeline by first constructing a dense BEV feature and then performing object detection in BEV space, which suffers from complex view transformations and high computation cost. On the other side, sparse detectors follow a query-based paradigm without explicit dense BEV feature construction, but achieve worse performance than the dense counterparts. In this paper, we find that the key to mitigate this performance gap is the adaptability of the detector in both BEV and image space. To achieve this goal, we propose SparseBEV, a fully sparse 3D object detector that outperforms the dense counterparts. SparseBEV contains three key designs, which are (1) scale-adaptive self attention to aggregate features with adaptive receptive field in BEV space, (2) adaptive spatio-temporal sampling to generate sampling locations under the guidance of queries, and (3) adaptive mixing to decode the sampled features with dynamic weights from the queries. On the test split of nuScenes, SparseBEV achieves the state-of-the-art performance of 67.5 NDS. On the val split, SparseBEV achieves 55.8 NDS while maintaining a real-time inference speed of 23.5 FPS. Code is available at https://github.com/MCG-NJU/SparseBEV.

Scaffold-GS: Structured 3D Gaussians for View-Adaptive RenderingTao Lu, Mulin Yu, Linning Xu et al.
Neural rendering methods have significantly advanced photo-realistic 3D scene rendering in various academic and industrial applications. The recent 3D Gaussian Splatting method has achieved the state-of-the-art rendering quality and speed combining the benefits of both primitive-based representations and volumetric representations. However, it often leads to heavily redundant Gaussians that try to fit every training view, neglecting the underlying scene geometry. Consequently, the resulting model becomes less robust to significant view changes, texture-less area and lighting effects. We introduce Scaffold-GS, which uses anchor points to distribute local 3D Gaussians, and predicts their attributes on-the-fly based on viewing direction and distance within the view frustum. Anchor growing and pruning strategies are developed based on the importance of neural Gaussians to reliably improve the scene coverage. We show that our method effectively reduces redundant Gaussians while delivering high-quality rendering. We also demonstrates an enhanced capability to accommodate scenes with varying levels-of-detail and view-dependent observations, without sacrificing the rendering speed.

UM-CAM: Uncertainty-weighted Multi-resolution Class Activation Maps for Weakly-supervised Fetal Brain SegmentationJia Fu, Tao Lu, Shaoting Zhang et al.
Accurate segmentation of the fetal brain from Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) is important for prenatal assessment of fetal development. Although deep learning has shown the potential to achieve this task, it requires a large fine annotated dataset that is difficult to collect. To address this issue, weakly-supervised segmentation methods with image-level labels have gained attention, which are commonly based on class activation maps from a classification network trained with image tags. However, most of these methods suffer from incomplete activation regions, due to the low-resolution localization without detailed boundary cues. To this end, we propose a novel weakly-supervised method with image-level labels based on semantic features and context information exploration. We first propose an Uncertainty-weighted Multi-resolution Class Activation Map (UM-CAM) to generate high-quality pixel-level supervision. Then, we design a Geodesic distance-based Seed Expansion (GSE) method to provide context information for rectifying the ambiguous boundaries of UM-CAM. Extensive experiments on a fetal brain dataset show that our UM-CAM can provide more accurate activation regions with fewer false positive regions than existing CAM variants, and our proposed method outperforms state-of-the-art weakly-supervised methods with image-level labels.

PLANING: A Loosely Coupled Triangle-Gaussian Framework for Streaming 3D ReconstructionChangjian Jiang, Kerui Ren, Xudong Li et al.
Streaming reconstruction from monocular image sequences remains challenging, as existing methods typically favor either high-quality rendering or accurate geometry, but rarely both. We present PLANING, an efficient on-the-fly reconstruction framework built on a hybrid representation that loosely couples explicit geometric primitives with neural Gaussians, enabling geometry and appearance to be modeled in a decoupled manner. This decoupling supports an online initialization and optimization strategy that separates geometry and appearance updates, yielding stable streaming reconstruction with substantially reduced structural redundancy. PLANING improves dense mesh Chamfer-L2 by 18.52% over PGSR, surpasses ARTDECO by 1.31 dB PSNR, and reconstructs ScanNetV2 scenes in under 100 seconds, over 5x faster than 2D Gaussian Splatting, while matching the quality of offline per-scene optimization. Beyond reconstruction quality, the structural clarity and computational efficiency of PLANING make it well suited for a broad range of downstream applications, such as enabling large-scale scene modeling and simulation-ready environments for embodied AI. M^3: Dense Matching Meets Multi-View Foundation Models for Monocular Gaussian Splatting SLAMKerui Ren, Guanghao Li, Changjian Jiang et al.
Streaming reconstruction from uncalibrated monocular video remains challenging, as it requires both high-precision pose estimation and computationally efficient online refinement in dynamic environments. While coupling 3D foundation models with SLAM frameworks is a promising paradigm, a critical bottleneck persists: most multi-view foundation models estimate poses in a feed-forward manner, yielding pixel-level correspondences that lack the requisite precision for rigorous geometric optimization. To address this, we present M^3, which augments the Multi-view foundation model with a dedicated Matching head to facilitate fine-grained dense correspondences and integrates it into a robust Monocular Gaussian Splatting SLAM. M^3 further enhances tracking stability by incorporating dynamic area suppression and cross-inference intrinsic alignment. Extensive experiments on diverse indoor and outdoor benchmarks demonstrate state-of-the-art accuracy in both pose estimation and scene reconstruction. Notably, M^3 reduces ATE RMSE by 64.3% compared to VGGT-SLAM 2.0 and outperforms ARTDECO by 2.11 dB in PSNR on the ScanNet++ dataset.

EAG-PT: Emission-Aware Gaussians and Path Tracing for Indoor Scene Reconstruction and EditingXijie Yang, Mulin Yu, Changjian Jiang et al.
Recent reconstruction methods based on radiance field such as NeRF and 3DGS reproduce indoor scenes with high visual fidelity, but break down under scene editing due to baked illumination and the lack of explicit light transport. In contrast, physically based inverse rendering relies on mesh representations and path tracing, which enforce correct light transport but place strong requirements on geometric fidelity, becoming a practical bottleneck for real indoor scenes. In this work, we propose Emission-Aware Gaussians and Path Tracing (EAG-PT), aiming for physically based light transport with a unified 2D Gaussian representation. Our design is based on three cores: (1) using 2D Gaussians as a unified scene representation and transport-friendly geometry proxy that avoids reconstructed mesh, (2) explicitly separating emissive and non-emissive components during reconstruction for further scene editing, and (3) decoupling reconstruction from final rendering by using efficient single-bounce optimization and high-quality multi-bounce path tracing after scene editing. Experiments on synthetic and real indoor scenes show that EAG-PT produces more natural and physically consistent renders after editing than radiant scene reconstructions, while preserving finer geometric detail and avoiding mesh-induced artifacts compared to mesh-based inverse path tracing. These results suggest promising directions for future use in interior design, XR content creation, and embodied AI.

SynthVerse: A Large-Scale Diverse Synthetic Dataset for Point TrackingWeiguang Zhao, Haoran Xu, Xingyu Miao et al.
Point tracking aims to follow visual points through complex motion, occlusion, and viewpoint changes, and has advanced rapidly with modern foundation models. Yet progress toward general point tracking remains constrained by limited high-quality data, as existing datasets often provide insufficient diversity and imperfect trajectory annotations. To this end, we introduce SynthVerse, a large-scale, diverse synthetic dataset specifically designed for point tracking. SynthVerse includes several new domains and object types missing from existing synthetic datasets, such as animated-film-style content, embodied manipulation, scene navigation, and articulated objects. SynthVerse substantially expands dataset diversity by covering a broader range of object categories and providing high-quality dynamic motions and interactions, enabling more robust training and evaluation for general point tracking. In addition, we establish a highly diverse point tracking benchmark to systematically evaluate state-of-the-art methods under broader domain shifts. Extensive experiments and analyses demonstrate that training with SynthVerse yields consistent improvements in generalization and reveal limitations of existing trackers under diverse settings.

PackUV: Packed Gaussian UV Maps for 4D Volumetric VideoAashish Rai, Angela Xing, Anushka Agarwal et al.
Volumetric videos offer immersive 4D experiences, but remain difficult to reconstruct, store, and stream at scale. Existing Gaussian Splatting based methods achieve high-quality reconstruction but break down on long sequences, temporal inconsistency, and fail under large motions and disocclusions. Moreover, their outputs are typically incompatible with conventional video coding pipelines, preventing practical applications. We introduce PackUV, a novel 4D Gaussian representation that maps all Gaussian attributes into a sequence of structured, multi-scale UV atlas, enabling compact, image-native storage. To fit this representation from multi-view videos, we propose PackUV-GS, a temporally consistent fitting method that directly optimizes Gaussian parameters in the UV domain. A flow-guided Gaussian labeling and video keyframing module identifies dynamic Gaussians, stabilizes static regions, and preserves temporal coherence even under large motions and disocclusions. The resulting UV atlas format is the first unified volumetric video representation compatible with standard video codecs (e.g., FFV1) without losing quality, enabling efficient streaming within existing multimedia infrastructure. To evaluate long-duration volumetric capture, we present PackUV-2B, the largest multi-view video dataset to date, featuring more than 50 synchronized cameras, substantial motion, and frequent disocclusions across 100 sequences and 2B (billion) frames. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method surpasses existing baselines in rendering fidelity while scaling to sequences up to 30 minutes with consistent quality.

Essential Number of Principal Components and Nearly Training-Free Model for Spectral AnalysisYifeng Bie, Shuai You, Xinrui Li et al.
Through a study of multi-gas mixture datasets, we show that in multi-component spectral analysis, the number of functional or non-functional principal components required to retain the essential information is the same as the number of independent constituents in the mixture set. Due to the mutual in-dependency among different gas molecules, near one-to-one projection from the principal component to the mixture constituent can be established, leading to a significant simplification of spectral quantification. Further, with the knowledge of the molar extinction coefficients of each constituent, a complete principal component set can be extracted from the coefficients directly, and few to none training samples are required for the learning model. Compared to other approaches, the proposed methods provide fast and accurate spectral quantification solutions with a small memory size needed.

SRPL-SFDA: SAM-Guided Reliable Pseudo-Labels for Source-Free Domain Adaptation in Medical Image SegmentationXinya Liu, Jianghao Wu, Tao Lu et al.
Domain Adaptation (DA) is crucial for robust deployment of medical image segmentation models when applied to new clinical centers with significant domain shifts. Source-Free Domain Adaptation (SFDA) is appealing as it can deal with privacy concerns and access constraints on source-domain data during adaptation to target-domain data. However, SFDA faces challenges such as insufficient supervision in the target domain with unlabeled images. In this work, we propose a Segment Anything Model (SAM)-guided Reliable Pseudo-Labels method for SFDA (SRPL-SFDA) with three key components: 1) Test-Time Tri-branch Intensity Enhancement (T3IE) that not only improves quality of raw pseudo-labels in the target domain, but also leads to SAM-compatible inputs with three channels to better leverage SAM's zero-shot inference ability for refining the pseudo-labels; 2) A reliable pseudo-label selection module that rejects low-quality pseudo-labels based on Consistency of Multiple SAM Outputs (CMSO) under input perturbations with T3IE; and 3) A reliability-aware training procedure in the unlabeled target domain where reliable pseudo-labels are used for supervision and unreliable parts are regularized by entropy minimization. Experiments conducted on two multi-domain medical image segmentation datasets for fetal brain and the prostate respectively demonstrate that: 1) SRPL-SFDA effectively enhances pseudo-label quality in the unlabeled target domain, and improves SFDA performance by leveraging the reliability-aware training; 2) SRPL-SFDA outperformed state-of-the-art SFDA methods, and its performance is close to that of supervised training in the target domain. TrajVG: 3D Trajectory-Coupled Visual Geometry LearningXingyu Miao, Weiguang Zhao, Tao Lu et al.
Feed-forward multi-frame 3D reconstruction models often degrade on videos with object motion. Global-reference becomes ambiguous under multiple motions, while the local pointmap relies heavily on estimated relative poses and can drift, causing cross-frame misalignment and duplicated structures. We propose TrajVG, a reconstruction framework that makes cross-frame 3D correspondence an explicit prediction by estimating camera-coordinate 3D trajectories. We couple sparse trajectories, per-frame local point maps, and relative camera poses with geometric consistency objectives: (i) bidirectional trajectory-pointmap consistency with controlled gradient flow, and (ii) a pose consistency objective driven by static track anchors that suppresses gradients from dynamic regions. To scale training to in-the-wild videos where 3D trajectory labels are scarce, we reformulate the same coupling constraints into self-supervised objectives using only pseudo 2D tracks, enabling unified training with mixed supervision. Extensive experiments across 3D tracking, pose estimation, pointmap reconstruction, and video depth show that TrajVG surpasses the current feedforward performance baseline.

Why Antiwork: A RoBERTa-Based System for Work-Related Stress Identification and Leading Factor AnalysisTao Lu, Muzhe Wu, Xinyi Lu et al.
Harsh working environments and work-related stress have been known to contribute to mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. As such, it is paramount to create solutions that can both detect employee unhappiness and find the root cause of the problem. While prior works have examined causes of mental health using machine learning, they typically focus on general mental health analysis, with few of them focusing on explainable solutions or looking at the workplace-specific setting. r/antiwork is a subreddit for the antiwork movement, which is the desire to stop working altogether. Using this subreddit as a proxy for work environment dissatisfaction, we create a new dataset for antiwork sentiment detection and subsequently train a model that highlights the words with antiwork sentiments. Following this, we performed a qualitative and quantitative analysis to uncover some of the key insights into the mindset of individuals who identify with the antiwork movement and how their working environments influenced them. We find that working environments that do not give employees authority or responsibility, frustrating recruiting experiences, and unfair compensation, are some of the leading causes of the antiwork sentiment, resulting in a lack of self-confidence and motivation among their employees.

Octree-GS: Towards Consistent Real-time Rendering with LOD-Structured 3D GaussiansKerui Ren, Lihan Jiang, Tao Lu et al.
The recent 3D Gaussian splatting (3D-GS) has shown remarkable rendering fidelity and efficiency compared to NeRF-based neural scene representations. While demonstrating the potential for real-time rendering, 3D-GS encounters rendering bottlenecks in large scenes with complex details due to an excessive number of Gaussian primitives located within the viewing frustum. This limitation is particularly noticeable in zoom-out views and can lead to inconsistent rendering speeds in scenes with varying details. Moreover, it often struggles to capture the corresponding level of details at different scales with its heuristic density control operation. Inspired by the Level-of-Detail (LOD) techniques, we introduce Octree-GS, featuring an LOD-structured 3D Gaussian approach supporting level-of-detail decomposition for scene representation that contributes to the final rendering results. Our model dynamically selects the appropriate level from the set of multi-resolution anchor points, ensuring consistent rendering performance with adaptive LOD adjustments while maintaining high-fidelity rendering results.

Selecting and Pruning: A Differentiable Causal Sequentialized State-Space Model for Two-View Correspondence LearningXiang Fang, Shihua Zhang, Hao Zhang et al.
Two-view correspondence learning aims to discern true and false correspondences between image pairs by recognizing their underlying different information. Previous methods either treat the information equally or require the explicit storage of the entire context, tending to be laborious in real-world scenarios. Inspired by Mamba's inherent selectivity, we propose \textbf{CorrMamba}, a \textbf{Corr}espondence filter leveraging \textbf{Mamba}'s ability to selectively mine information from true correspondences while mitigating interference from false ones, thus achieving adaptive focus at a lower cost. To prevent Mamba from being potentially impacted by unordered keypoints that obscured its ability to mine spatial information, we customize a causal sequential learning approach based on the Gumbel-Softmax technique to establish causal dependencies between features in a fully autonomous and differentiable manner. Additionally, a local-context enhancement module is designed to capture critical contextual cues essential for correspondence pruning, complementing the core framework. Extensive experiments on relative pose estimation, visual localization, and analysis demonstrate that CorrMamba achieves state-of-the-art performance. Notably, in outdoor relative pose estimation, our method surpasses the previous SOTA by $2.58$ absolute percentage points in AUC@20\textdegree, highlighting its practical superiority. GLSD: The Global Large-Scale Ship Database and Baseline EvaluationsZhenfeng Shao, Jiaming Wang, Lianbing Deng et al.
In this paper, we introduce a challenging global large-scale ship database (called GLSD), designed specifically for ship detection tasks. The designed GLSD database includes a total of 212,357 annotated instances from 152,576 images. Based on the collected images, we propose 13 ship categories that widely exist in international routes. These categories include Sailing boat, Fishing boat, Passenger ship, Warship, General cargo ship, Container ship, Bulk cargo carrier, Barge, Ore carrier, Speed boat, Canoe, Oil carrier, and Tug. The motivations of developing GLSD include the following: 1) providing a refine and extensive ship detection database that benefits the object detection community, 2) establishing a database with exhaustive labels (bounding boxes and ship class categories) in a uniform classification scheme, and 3) providing a large-scale ship database with geographic information (covering more than 3000 ports and 33 routes) that benefits multi-modal analysis. In addition, we discuss the evaluation protocols corresponding to image characteristics in GLSD and analyze the performance of selected state-of-the-art object detection algorithms on GSLD, aiming to establish baselines for future studies. Pan-sharpening via High-pass Modification Convolutional Neural NetworkJiaming Wang, Zhenfeng Shao, Xiao Huang et al.
Most existing deep learning-based pan-sharpening methods have several widely recognized issues, such as spectral distortion and insufficient spatial texture enhancement, we propose a novel pan-sharpening convolutional neural network based on a high-pass modification block. Different from existing methods, the proposed block is designed to learn the high-pass information, leading to enhance spatial information in each band of the multi-spectral-resolution images. To facilitate the generation of visually appealing pan-sharpened images, we propose a perceptual loss function and further optimize the model based on high-level features in the near-infrared space. Experiments demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method compared to the state-of-the-art pan-sharpening methods, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Unsupervised Remote Sensing Super-Resolution via Migration Image PriorJiaming Wang, Zhenfeng Shao, Tao Lu et al.
Recently, satellites with high temporal resolution have fostered wide attention in various practical applications. Due to limitations of bandwidth and hardware cost, however, the spatial resolution of such satellites is considerably low, largely limiting their potentials in scenarios that require spatially explicit information. To improve image resolution, numerous approaches based on training low-high resolution pairs have been proposed to address the super-resolution (SR) task. Despite their success, however, low/high spatial resolution pairs are usually difficult to obtain in satellites with a high temporal resolution, making such approaches in SR impractical to use. In this paper, we proposed a new unsupervised learning framework, called "MIP", which achieves SR tasks without low/high resolution image pairs. First, random noise maps are fed into a designed generative adversarial network (GAN) for reconstruction. Then, the proposed method converts the reference image to latent space as the migration image prior. Finally, we update the input noise via an implicit method, and further transfer the texture and structured information from the reference image. Extensive experimental results on the Draper dataset show that MIP achieves significant improvements over state-of-the-art methods both quantitatively and qualitatively. Degrade is Upgrade: Learning Degradation for Low-light Image EnhancementKui Jiang, Zhongyuan Wang, Zheng Wang et al.
Low-light image enhancement aims to improve an image's visibility while keeping its visual naturalness. Different from existing methods tending to accomplish the relighting task directly by ignoring the fidelity and naturalness recovery, we investigate the intrinsic degradation and relight the low-light image while refining the details and color in two steps. Inspired by the color image formulation (diffuse illumination color plus environment illumination color), we first estimate the degradation from low-light inputs to simulate the distortion of environment illumination color, and then refine the content to recover the loss of diffuse illumination color. To this end, we propose a novel Degradation-to-Refinement Generation Network (DRGN). Its distinctive features can be summarized as 1) A novel two-step generation network for degradation learning and content refinement. It is not only superior to one-step methods, but also capable of synthesizing sufficient paired samples to benefit the model training; 2) A multi-resolution fusion network to represent the target information (degradation or contents) in a multi-scale cooperative manner, which is more effective to address the complex unmixing problems. Extensive experiments on both the enhancement task and joint detection task have verified the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed method, surpassing the SOTA by \textit{0.70dB on average and 3.18\% in mAP}, respectively. Face Hallucination via Split-Attention in Split-Attention NetworkTao Lu, Yuanzhi Wang, Yanduo Zhang et al.
Recently, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been widely employed to promote the face hallucination due to the ability to predict high-frequency details from a large number of samples. However, most of them fail to take into account the overall facial profile and fine texture details simultaneously, resulting in reduced naturalness and fidelity of the reconstructed face, and further impairing the performance of downstream tasks (e.g., face detection, facial recognition). To tackle this issue, we propose a novel external-internal split attention group (ESAG), which encompasses two paths responsible for facial structure information and facial texture details, respectively. By fusing the features from these two paths, the consistency of facial structure and the fidelity of facial details are strengthened at the same time. Then, we propose a split-attention in split-attention network (SISN) to reconstruct photorealistic high-resolution facial images by cascading several ESAGs. Experimental results on face hallucination and face recognition unveil that the proposed method not only significantly improves the clarity of hallucinated faces, but also encourages the subsequent face recognition performance substantially. Localizing Discriminative Visual Landmarks for Place RecognitionZhe Xin, Yinghao Cai, Tao Lu et al.
We address the problem of visual place recognition with perceptual changes. The fundamental problem of visual place recognition is generating robust image representations which are not only insensitive to environmental changes but also distinguishable to different places. Taking advantage of the feature extraction ability of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), we further investigate how to localize discriminative visual landmarks that positively contribute to the similarity measurement, such as buildings and vegetations. In particular, a Landmark Localization Network (LLN) is designed to indicate which regions of an image are used for discrimination. Detailed experiments are conducted on open source datasets with varied appearance and viewpoint changes. The proposed approach achieves superior performance against state-of-the-art methods.

GSDF: 3DGS Meets SDF for Improved Rendering and ReconstructionMulin Yu, Tao Lu, Linning Xu et al.
Presenting a 3D scene from multiview images remains a core and long-standing challenge in computer vision and computer graphics. Two main requirements lie in rendering and reconstruction. Notably, SOTA rendering quality is usually achieved with neural volumetric rendering techniques, which rely on aggregated point/primitive-wise color and neglect the underlying scene geometry. Learning of neural implicit surfaces is sparked from the success of neural rendering. Current works either constrain the distribution of density fields or the shape of primitives, resulting in degraded rendering quality and flaws on the learned scene surfaces. The efficacy of such methods is limited by the inherent constraints of the chosen neural representation, which struggles to capture fine surface details, especially for larger, more intricate scenes. To address these issues, we introduce GSDF, a novel dual-branch architecture that combines the benefits of a flexible and efficient 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) representation with neural Signed Distance Fields (SDF). The core idea is to leverage and enhance the strengths of each branch while alleviating their limitation through mutual guidance and joint supervision. We show on diverse scenes that our design unlocks the potential for more accurate and detailed surface reconstructions, and at the meantime benefits 3DGS rendering with structures that are more aligned with the underlying geometry.

AnySplat: Feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting from Unconstrained ViewsLihan Jiang, Yucheng Mao, Linning Xu et al.
We introduce AnySplat, a feed forward network for novel view synthesis from uncalibrated image collections. In contrast to traditional neural rendering pipelines that demand known camera poses and per scene optimization, or recent feed forward methods that buckle under the computational weight of dense views, our model predicts everything in one shot. A single forward pass yields a set of 3D Gaussian primitives encoding both scene geometry and appearance, and the corresponding camera intrinsics and extrinsics for each input image. This unified design scales effortlessly to casually captured, multi view datasets without any pose annotations. In extensive zero shot evaluations, AnySplat matches the quality of pose aware baselines in both sparse and dense view scenarios while surpassing existing pose free approaches. Moreover, it greatly reduce rendering latency compared to optimization based neural fields, bringing real time novel view synthesis within reach for unconstrained capture settings.Project page: https://city-super.github.io/anysplat/

Turbo-GS: Accelerating 3D Gaussian Fitting for High-Quality Radiance FieldsTao Lu, Ankit Dhiman, R Srinath et al.
Novel-view synthesis is an important problem in computer vision with applications in 3D reconstruction, mixed reality, and robotics. Recent methods like 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) have become the preferred method for this task, providing high-quality novel views in real time. However, the training time of a 3DGS model is slow, often taking 30 minutes for a scene with 200 views. In contrast, our goal is to reduce the optimization time by training for fewer steps while maintaining high rendering quality. Specifically, we combine the guidance from both the position error and the appearance error to achieve a more effective densification. To balance the rate between adding new Gaussians and fitting old Gaussians, we develop a convergence-aware budget control mechanism. Moreover, to make the densification process more reliable, we selectively add new Gaussians from mostly visited regions. With these designs, we reduce the Gaussian optimization steps to one-third of the previous approach while achieving a comparable or even better novel view rendering quality. To further facilitate the rapid fitting of 4K resolution images, we introduce a dilation-based rendering technique. Our method, Turbo-GS, speeds up optimization for typical scenes and scales well to high-resolution (4K) scenarios on standard datasets. Horizon-GS: Unified 3D Gaussian Splatting for Large-Scale Aerial-to-Ground ScenesLihan Jiang, Kerui Ren, Mulin Yu et al.
Seamless integration of both aerial and street view images remains a significant challenge in neural scene reconstruction and rendering. Existing methods predominantly focus on single domain, limiting their applications in immersive environments, which demand extensive free view exploration with large view changes both horizontally and vertically. We introduce Horizon-GS, a novel approach built upon Gaussian Splatting techniques, tackles the unified reconstruction and rendering for aerial and street views. Our method addresses the key challenges of combining these perspectives with a new training strategy, overcoming viewpoint discrepancies to generate high-fidelity scenes. We also curate a high-quality aerial-to-ground views dataset encompassing both synthetic and real-world scene to advance further research. Experiments across diverse urban scene datasets confirm the effectiveness of our method.

Proc-GS: Procedural Building Generation for City Assembly with 3D GaussiansYixuan Li, Xingjian Ran, Linning Xu et al.
Buildings are primary components of cities, often featuring repeated elements such as windows and doors. Traditional 3D building asset creation is labor-intensive and requires specialized skills to develop design rules. Recent generative models for building creation often overlook these patterns, leading to low visual fidelity and limited scalability. Drawing inspiration from procedural modeling techniques used in the gaming and visual effects industry, our method, Proc-GS, integrates procedural code into the 3D Gaussian Splatting (3D-GS) framework, leveraging their advantages in high-fidelity rendering and efficient asset management from both worlds. By manipulating procedural code, we can streamline this process and generate an infinite variety of buildings. This integration significantly reduces model size by utilizing shared foundational assets, enabling scalable generation with precise control over building assembly. We showcase the potential for expansive cityscape generation while maintaining high rendering fidelity and precise control on both real and synthetic cases.

Towards Trustworthy Dermatology MLLMs: A Benchmark and Multimodal Evaluator for Diagnostic NarrativesYuhao Shen, Jiahe Qian, Shuping Zhang et al.
Multimodal large language models (LLMs) are increasingly used to generate dermatology diagnostic narratives directly from images. However, reliable evaluation remains the primary bottleneck for responsible clinical deployment. We introduce a novel evaluation framework that combines DermBench, a meticulously curated benchmark, with DermEval, a robust automatic evaluator, to enable clinically meaningful, reproducible, and scalable assessment. We build DermBench, which pairs 4,000 real-world dermatology images with expert-certified diagnostic narratives and uses an LLM-based judge to score candidate narratives across clinically grounded dimensions, enabling consistent and comprehensive evaluation of multimodal models. For individual case assessment, we train DermEval, a reference-free multimodal evaluator. Given an image and a generated narrative, DermEval produces a structured critique along with an overall score and per-dimension ratings. This capability enables fine-grained, per-case analysis, which is critical for identifying model limitations and biases. Experiments on a diverse dataset of 4,500 cases demonstrate that DermBench and DermEval achieve close alignment with expert ratings, with mean deviations of 0.251 and 0.117 (out of 5), respectively, providing reliable measurement of diagnostic ability and trustworthiness across different multimodal LLMs.

GaRe: Relightable 3D Gaussian Splatting for Outdoor Scenes from Unconstrained Photo CollectionsHaiyang Bai, Jiaqi Zhu, Songru Jiang et al.
We propose a 3D Gaussian splatting-based framework for outdoor relighting that leverages intrinsic image decomposition to precisely integrate sunlight, sky radiance, and indirect lighting from unconstrained photo collections. Unlike prior methods that compress the per-image global illumination into a single latent vector, our approach enables simultaneously diverse shading manipulation and the generation of dynamic shadow effects. This is achieved through three key innovations: (1) a residual-based sun visibility extraction method to accurately separate direct sunlight effects, (2) a region-based supervision framework with a structural consistency loss for physically interpretable and coherent illumination decomposition, and (3) a ray-tracing-based technique for realistic shadow simulation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our framework synthesizes novel views with competitive fidelity against state-of-the-art relighting solutions and produces more natural and multifaceted illumination and shadow effects.

MISCGrasp: Leveraging Multiple Integrated Scales and Contrastive Learning for Enhanced Volumetric GraspingQingyu Fan, Yinghao Cai, Chao Li et al.
Robotic grasping faces challenges in adapting to objects with varying shapes and sizes. In this paper, we introduce MISCGrasp, a volumetric grasping method that integrates multi-scale feature extraction with contrastive feature enhancement for self-adaptive grasping. We propose a query-based interaction between high-level and low-level features through the Insight Transformer, while the Empower Transformer selectively attends to the highest-level features, which synergistically strikes a balance between focusing on fine geometric details and overall geometric structures. Furthermore, MISCGrasp utilizes multi-scale contrastive learning to exploit similarities among positive grasp samples, ensuring consistency across multi-scale features. Extensive experiments in both simulated and real-world environments demonstrate that MISCGrasp outperforms baseline and variant methods in tabletop decluttering tasks. PEAfowl: Perception-Enhanced Multi-View Vision-Language-Action for Bimanual ManipulationQingyu Fan, Zhaoxiang Li, Yi Lu et al.
Bimanual manipulation in cluttered scenes requires policies that remain stable under occlusions, viewpoint and scene variations. Existing vision-language-action models often fail to generalize because (i) multi-view features are fused via view-agnostic token concatenation, yielding weak 3D-consistent spatial understanding, and (ii) language is injected as global conditioning, resulting in coarse instruction grounding. In this paper, we introduce PEAfowl, a perception-enhanced multi-view VLA policy for bimanual manipulation. For spatial reasoning, PEAfowl predicts per-token depth distributions, performs differentiable 3D lifting, and aggregates local cross-view neighbors to form geometrically grounded, cross-view consistent representations. For instruction grounding, we propose to replace global conditioning with a Perceiver-style text-aware readout over frozen CLIP visual features, enabling iterative evidence accumulation. To overcome noisy and incomplete commodity depth without adding inference overhead, we apply training-only depth distillation from a pretrained depth teacher to supervise the depth-distribution head, providing perception front-end with geometry-aware priors. On RoboTwin 2.0 under domain-randomized setting, PEAfowl improves the strongest baseline by 23.0 pp in success rate, and real-robot experiments further demonstrate reliable sim-to-real transfer and consistent improvements from depth distillation. NeuGrasp: Generalizable Neural Surface Reconstruction with Background Priors for Material-Agnostic Object Grasp DetectionQingyu Fan, Yinghao Cai, Chao Li et al.
Robotic grasping in scenes with transparent and specular objects presents great challenges for methods relying on accurate depth information. In this paper, we introduce NeuGrasp, a neural surface reconstruction method that leverages background priors for material-agnostic grasp detection. NeuGrasp integrates transformers and global prior volumes to aggregate multi-view features with spatial encoding, enabling robust surface reconstruction in narrow and sparse viewing conditions. By focusing on foreground objects through residual feature enhancement and refining spatial perception with an occupancy-prior volume, NeuGrasp excels in handling objects with transparent and specular surfaces. Extensive experiments in both simulated and real-world scenarios show that NeuGrasp outperforms state-of-the-art methods in grasping while maintaining comparable reconstruction quality. Word length-aware text spotting: Enhancing detection and recognition in dense text imageHao Wang, Huabing Zhou, Yanduo Zhang et al.
Scene text spotting is essential in various computer vision applications, enabling extracting and interpreting textual information from images. However, existing methods often neglect the spatial semantics of word images, leading to suboptimal detection recall rates for long and short words within long-tailed word length distributions that exist prominently in dense scenes. In this paper, we present WordLenSpotter, a novel word length-aware spotter for scene text image detection and recognition, improving the spotting capabilities for long and short words, particularly in the tail data of dense text images. We first design an image encoder equipped with a dilated convolutional fusion module to integrate multiscale text image features effectively. Then, leveraging the Transformer framework, we synergistically optimize text detection and recognition accuracy after iteratively refining text region image features using the word length prior. Specially, we design a Spatial Length Predictor module (SLP) using character count prior tailored to different word lengths to constrain the regions of interest effectively. Furthermore, we introduce a specialized word Length-aware Segmentation (LenSeg) proposal head, enhancing the network's capacity to capture the distinctive features of long and short terms within categories characterized by long-tailed distributions. Comprehensive experiments on public datasets and our dense text spotting dataset DSTD1500 demonstrate the superiority of our proposed methods, particularly in dense text image detection and recognition tasks involving long-tailed word length distributions encompassing a range of long and short words.

SENIOR: Efficient Query Selection and Preference-Guided Exploration in Preference-based Reinforcement LearningHexian Ni, Tao Lu, Haoyuan Hu et al.
Preference-based Reinforcement Learning (PbRL) methods provide a solution to avoid reward engineering by learning reward models based on human preferences. However, poor feedback- and sample- efficiency still remain the problems that hinder the application of PbRL. In this paper, we present a novel efficient query selection and preference-guided exploration method, called SENIOR, which could select the meaningful and easy-to-comparison behavior segment pairs to improve human feedback-efficiency and accelerate policy learning with the designed preference-guided intrinsic rewards. Our key idea is twofold: (1) We designed a Motion-Distinction-based Selection scheme (MDS). It selects segment pairs with apparent motion and different directions through kernel density estimation of states, which is more task-related and easy for human preference labeling; (2) We proposed a novel preference-guided exploration method (PGE). It encourages the exploration towards the states with high preference and low visits and continuously guides the agent achieving the valuable samples. The synergy between the two mechanisms could significantly accelerate the progress of reward and policy learning. Our experiments show that SENIOR outperforms other five existing methods in both human feedback-efficiency and policy convergence speed on six complex robot manipulation tasks from simulation and four real-worlds.

Instance-Adaptive Keypoint Learning with Local-to-Global Geometric Aggregation for Category-Level Object Pose EstimationXiao Zhang, Lu Zou, Tao Lu et al.
Category-level object pose estimation aims to predict the 6D pose and size of previously unseen instances from predefined categories, requiring strong generalization across diverse object instances. Although many previous methods attempt to mitigate intra-class variations, they often struggle with instances exhibiting complex geometries or significant deviations from canonical shapes. To address this issue, we propose INKL-Pose, a novel category-level object pose estimation framework that enables INstance-adaptive Keypoint Learning with local-to-global geometric aggregation. Specifically, our method first predicts semantically consistent and geometrically informative keypoints using an Instance-Adaptive Keypoint Detector, then refines them: (1) a Local Keypoint Feature Aggregator capturing fine-grained geometries, and (2) a Global Keypoint Feature Aggregator using bidirectional Mamba for structural consistency. To enable bidirectional modeling in Mamba, we introduce a simple yet effective Feature Sequence Flipping strategy that preserves spatial coherence while constructing backward feature sequence. Additionally, we design a surface loss and a separation loss to encourage uniform coverage and spatial diversity in keypoint distribution. The resulting keypoints are mapped to a canonical space for 6D pose and size regression. Extensive experiments on CAMERA25, REAL275, and HouseCat6D show that INKL-Pose achieves state-of-the-art performance with 16.7M parameters and runs at 36 FPS on an NVIDIA RTX 4090D GPU.

Art3D: Training-Free 3D Generation from Flat-Colored IllustrationXiaoyan Cong, Jiayi Shen, Zekun Li et al.
Large-scale pre-trained image-to-3D generative models have exhibited remarkable capabilities in diverse shape generations. However, most of them struggle to synthesize plausible 3D assets when the reference image is flat-colored like hand drawings due to the lack of 3D illusion, which are often the most user-friendly input modalities in art content creation. To this end, we propose Art3D, a training-free method that can lift flat-colored 2D designs into 3D. By leveraging structural and semantic features with pre- trained 2D image generation models and a VLM-based realism evaluation, Art3D successfully enhances the three-dimensional illusion in reference images, thus simplifying the process of generating 3D from 2D, and proves adaptable to a wide range of painting styles. To benchmark the generalization performance of existing image-to-3D models on flat-colored images without 3D feeling, we collect a new dataset, Flat-2D, with over 100 samples. Experimental results demonstrate the performance and robustness of Art3D, exhibiting superior generalizable capacity and promising practical applicability. 3D Lane Detection from Front or Surround-View using Joint-Modeling & MatchingHaibin Zhou, Huabing Zhou, Jun Chang et al.
3D lanes offer a more comprehensive understanding of the road surface geometry than 2D lanes, thereby providing crucial references for driving decisions and trajectory planning. While many efforts aim to improve prediction accuracy, we recognize that an efficient network can bring results closer to lane modeling. However, if the modeling data is imprecise, the results might not accurately capture the real-world scenario. Therefore, accurate lane modeling is essential to align prediction results closely with the environment. This study centers on efficient and accurate lane modeling, proposing a joint modeling approach that combines Bezier curves and interpolation methods. Furthermore, based on this lane modeling approach, we developed a Global2Local Lane Matching method with Bezier Control-Point and Key-Point, which serve as a comprehensive solution that leverages hierarchical features with two mathematical models to ensure a precise match. We also introduce a novel 3D Spatial Encoder, representing an exploration of 3D surround-view lane detection research. The framework is suitable for front-view or surround-view 3D lane detection. By directly outputting the key points of lanes in 3D space, it overcomes the limitations of anchor-based methods, enabling accurate prediction of closed-loop or U-shaped lanes and effective adaptation to complex road conditions. This innovative method establishes a new benchmark in front-view 3D lane detection on the Openlane dataset and achieves competitive performance in surround-view 2D lane detection on the Argoverse2 dataset.

Deep Single Image Deraining using An Asymetric Cycle Generative and Adversarial FrameworkWei Liu, Rui Jiang, Cheng Chen et al.
In reality, rain and fog are often present at the same time, which can greatly reduce the clarity and quality of the scene image. However, most unsupervised single image deraining methods mainly focus on rain streak removal by disregarding the fog, which leads to low-quality deraining performance. In addition, the samples are rather homogeneous generated by these methods and lack diversity, resulting in poor results in the face of complex rain scenes. To address the above issues, we propose a novel Asymetric Cycle Generative and Adversarial framework (ACGF) for single image deraining that trains on both synthetic and real rainy images while simultaneously capturing both rain streaks and fog features. ACGF consists of a Rain-fog2Clean (R2C) transformation block and a Clean2Rain-fog (C2R) transformation block. The former consists of parallel rain removal path and rain-fog feature extraction path by the rain and derain-fog network and the attention rain-fog feature extraction network (ARFE) , while the latter only contains a synthetic rain transformation path. In rain-fog feature extraction path, to better characterize the rain-fog fusion feature, we employ an ARFE to exploit the self-similarity of global and local rain-fog information by learning the spatial feature correlations. Moreover, to improve the translational capacity of C2R and the diversity of models, we design a rain-fog feature decoupling and reorganization network (RFDR) by embedding a rainy image degradation model and a mixed discriminator to preserve richer texture details in synthetic rain conversion path. Extensive experiments on benchmark rain-fog and rain datasets show that ACGF outperforms state-of-the-art deraining methods. We also conduct defogging performance evaluation experiments to further demonstrate the effectiveness of ACGF.

Unpaired Quad-Path Cycle Consistent Adversarial Networks for Single Image DefoggingWei Liu, Cheng Chen, Rui Jiang et al.
Adversarial learning-based image defogging methods have been extensively studied in computer vision due to their remarkable performance. However, most existing methods have limited defogging capabilities for real cases because they are trained on the paired clear and synthesized foggy images of the same scenes. In addition, they have limitations in preserving vivid color and rich textual details in defogging. To address these issues, we develop a novel generative adversarial network, called quad-path cycle consistent adversarial network (QPC-Net), for single image defogging. QPC-Net consists of a Fog2Fogfree block and a Fogfree2Fog block. In each block, there are three learning-based modules, namely, fog removal, color-texture recovery, and fog synthetic, which sequentially compose dual-path that constrain each other to generate high quality images. Specifically, the color-texture recovery model is designed to exploit the self-similarity of texture and structure information by learning the holistic channel-spatial feature correlations between the foggy image with its several derived images. Moreover, in the fog synthetic module, we utilize the atmospheric scattering model to guide it to improve the generative quality by focusing on an atmospheric light optimization with a novel sky segmentation network. Extensive experiments on both synthetic and real-world datasets show that QPC-Net outperforms state-of-the-art defogging methods in terms of quantitative accuracy and subjective visual quality.

TANet: A new Paradigm for Global Face Super-resolution via Transformer-CNN Aggregation NetworkYuanzhi Wang, Tao Lu, Yanduo Zhang et al.
Recently, face super-resolution (FSR) methods either feed whole face image into convolutional neural networks (CNNs) or utilize extra facial priors (e.g., facial parsing maps, facial landmarks) to focus on facial structure, thereby maintaining the consistency of the facial structure while restoring facial details. However, the limited receptive fields of CNNs and inaccurate facial priors will reduce the naturalness and fidelity of the reconstructed face. In this paper, we propose a novel paradigm based on the self-attention mechanism (i.e., the core of Transformer) to fully explore the representation capacity of the facial structure feature. Specifically, we design a Transformer-CNN aggregation network (TANet) consisting of two paths, in which one path uses CNNs responsible for restoring fine-grained facial details while the other utilizes a resource-friendly Transformer to capture global information by exploiting the long-distance visual relation modeling. By aggregating the features from the above two paths, the consistency of global facial structure and fidelity of local facial detail restoration are strengthened simultaneously. Experimental results of face reconstruction and recognition verify that the proposed method can significantly outperform the state-of-the-art methods.

A Survey on RISC-V Security: Hardware and ArchitectureTao Lu
The Internet of Things (IoT) is an ongoing technological revolution. Embedded processors are the processing engines of smart IoT devices. For decades, these processors were mainly based on the Arm instruction set architecture (ISA). In recent years, the free and open RISC-V ISA standard has attracted the attention of industry and academia and is becoming the mainstream. Data security and user privacy protection are common challenges faced by all IoT devices. In order to deal with foreseeable security threats, the RISC-V community is studying security solutions aimed at achieving a root of trust (RoT) and ensuring that sensitive information on RISC-V devices is not tampered with or leaked. Many RISC-V security research projects are underway, but the academic community has not yet conducted a comprehensive survey of RISC-V security solutions. In order to fill this research gap, this paper presents an in-depth survey on RISC-V security technologies. This paper summarizes the representative security mechanisms of RISC-V hardware and architecture. Based on our survey, we predict the future research and development directions of RISC-V security. We hope that our research can inspire RISC-V researchers and developers.

SSCAN: A Spatial-spectral Cross Attention Network for Hyperspectral Image DenoisingZhiqiang Wang, Zhenfeng Shao, Xiao Huang et al.
Hyperspectral images (HSIs) have been widely used in a variety of applications thanks to the rich spectral information they are able to provide. Among all HSI processing tasks, HSI denoising is a crucial step. Recently, deep learning-based image denoising methods have made great progress and achieved great performance. However, existing methods tend to ignore the correlations between adjacent spectral bands, leading to problems such as spectral distortion and blurred edges in denoised results. In this study, we propose a novel HSI denoising network, termed SSCAN, that combines group convolutions and attention modules. Specifically, we use a group convolution with a spatial attention module to facilitate feature extraction by directing models' attention to band-wise important features. We propose a spectral-spatial attention block (SSAB) to exploit the spatial and spectral information in hyperspectral images in an effective manner. In addition, we adopt residual learning operations with skip connections to ensure training stability. The experimental results indicate that the proposed SSCAN outperforms several state-of-the-art HSI denoising algorithms.

Multi-scale Self-calibrated Network for Image Light Source TransferYuanzhi Wang, Tao Lu, Yanduo Zhang et al.
Image light source transfer (LLST), as the most challenging task in the domain of image relighting, has attracted extensive attention in recent years. In the latest research, LLST is decomposed three sub-tasks: scene reconversion, shadow estimation, and image re-rendering, which provides a new paradigm for image relighting. However, many problems for scene reconversion and shadow estimation tasks, including uncalibrated feature information and poor semantic information, are still unresolved, thereby resulting in insufficient feature representation. In this paper, we propose novel down-sampling feature self-calibrated block (DFSB) and up-sampling feature self-calibrated block (UFSB) as the basic blocks of feature encoder and decoder to calibrate feature representation iteratively because the LLST is similar to the recalibration of image light source. In addition, we fuse the multi-scale features of the decoder in scene reconversion task to further explore and exploit more semantic information, thereby providing more accurate primary scene structure for image re-rendering. Experimental results in the VIDIT dataset show that the proposed approach significantly improves the performance for LLST.

Omniscient Video Super-ResolutionPeng Yi, Zhongyuan Wang, Kui Jiang et al.
Most recent video super-resolution (SR) methods either adopt an iterative manner to deal with low-resolution (LR) frames from a temporally sliding window, or leverage the previously estimated SR output to help reconstruct the current frame recurrently. A few studies try to combine these two structures to form a hybrid framework but have failed to give full play to it. In this paper, we propose an omniscient framework to not only utilize the preceding SR output, but also leverage the SR outputs from the present and future. The omniscient framework is more generic because the iterative, recurrent and hybrid frameworks can be regarded as its special cases. The proposed omniscient framework enables a generator to behave better than its counterparts under other frameworks. Abundant experiments on public datasets show that our method is superior to the state-of-the-art methods in objective metrics, subjective visual effects and complexity. Our code will be made public.

Pose-GNN : Camera Pose Estimation System Using Graph Neural NetworksAhmed Elmoogy, Xiaodai Dong, Tao Lu et al.
We propose a novel image based localization system using graph neural networks (GNN). The pretrained ResNet50 convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture is used to extract the important features for each image. Following, the extracted features are input to GNN to find the pose of each image by either using the image features as a node in a graph and formulate the pose estimation problem as node pose regression or modelling the image features themselves as a graph and the problem becomes graph pose regression. We do an extensive comparison between the proposed two approaches and the state of the art single image localization methods and show that using GNN leads to enhanced performance for both indoor and outdoor environments.

ACDER: Augmented Curiosity-Driven Experience ReplayBoyao Li, Tao Lu, Jiayi Li et al.
Exploration in environments with sparse feedback remains a challenging research problem in reinforcement learning (RL). When the RL agent explores the environment randomly, it results in low exploration efficiency, especially in robotic manipulation tasks with high dimensional continuous state and action space. In this paper, we propose a novel method, called Augmented Curiosity-Driven Experience Replay (ACDER), which leverages (i) a new goal-oriented curiosity-driven exploration to encourage the agent to pursue novel and task-relevant states more purposefully and (ii) the dynamic initial states selection as an automatic exploratory curriculum to further improve the sample-efficiency. Our approach complements Hindsight Experience Replay (HER) by introducing a new way to pursue valuable states. Experiments conducted on four challenging robotic manipulation tasks with binary rewards, including Reach, Push, Pick&Place and Multi-step Push. The empirical results show that our proposed method significantly outperforms existing methods in the first three basic tasks and also achieves satisfactory performance in multi-step robotic task learning.
