MigrationBench: Repository-Level Code Migration Benchmark from Java 8

With the rapid advancement of powerful large language models (LLMs) in recent years, a wide range of software engineering tasks can now be addressed using LLMs, significantly enhancing productivity and scalability. Numerous benchmark datasets have been developed to evaluate the coding capabilities of these models, while they primarily focus on code generation and issue-resolution tasks. In contrast, we introduce a new coding benchmark MigrationBench with a distinct focus: code migration. MigrationBench aims to serve as a comprehensive benchmark for migration from Java 8 to the latest long-term support (LTS) versions (Java 17, 21), including a full dataset and its subset selected with 5,102 and 300 repositories respectively. selected is a representative subset curated for complexity and difficulty, offering a versatile resource to support research in the field of code migration. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive evaluation framework to facilitate rigorous and standardized assessment of LLMs on this challenging task. We further propose an agentic framework and demonstrate that LLMs can effectively tackle repository-level code migration to Java 17. For the selected subset with Claude-4.5-Sonnet, our agentic framework achieves 71.67% and 53.33% success rate (pass@1) for minimal and maximal migration respectively. VLMEvalKit: An Open-Source Toolkit for Evaluating Large Multi-Modality Models

We present VLMEvalKit: an open-source toolkit for evaluating large multi-modality models based on PyTorch. The toolkit aims to provide a user-friendly and comprehensive framework for researchers and developers to evaluate existing multi-modality models and publish reproducible evaluation results. In VLMEvalKit, we implement over 200+ different large multi-modality models, including both proprietary APIs and open-source models, as well as more than 80 different multi-modal benchmarks. By implementing a single interface, new models can be easily added to the toolkit, while the toolkit automatically handles the remaining workloads, including data preparation, distributed inference, prediction post-processing, and metric calculation. Although the toolkit is currently mainly used for evaluating large vision-language models, its design is compatible with future updates that incorporate additional modalities, such as audio and video. Based on the evaluation results obtained with the toolkit, we host OpenVLM Leaderboard, a comprehensive leaderboard to track the progress of multi-modality learning research. InternLM-XComposer-2.5: A Versatile Large Vision Language Model Supporting Long-Contextual Input and Output

We present InternLM-XComposer-2.5 (IXC-2.5), a versatile large-vision language model that supports long-contextual input and output. IXC-2.5 excels in various text-image comprehension and composition applications, achieving GPT-4V level capabilities with merely 7B LLM backend. Trained with 24K interleaved image-text contexts, it can seamlessly extend to 96K long contexts via RoPE extrapolation. This long-context capability allows IXC-2.5 to excel in tasks requiring extensive input and output contexts. Compared to its previous 2.0 version, InternLM-XComposer-2.5 features three major upgrades in vision-language comprehension: (1) Ultra-High Resolution Understanding, (2) Fine-Grained Video Understanding, and (3) Multi-Turn Multi-Image Dialogue. In addition to comprehension, IXC-2.5 extends to two compelling applications using extra LoRA parameters for text-image composition: (1) Crafting Webpages and (2) Composing High-Quality Text-Image Articles. IXC-2.5 has been evaluated on 28 benchmarks, outperforming existing open-source state-of-the-art models on 16 benchmarks. AsyncTool: Evaluating the Asynchronous Function Calling Capability under Multi-Task Scenarios

Large language model (LLM)-based agents have shown strong capabilities in using external tools to solve complex tasks. However, existing evaluations often overlook the temporal dimension of tool use, especially the impact of tool response latency, and are usually limited to single-task settings. In real-world applications, multiple tasks often need to be executed concurrently, and overall efficiency depends on whether an agent can use idle time while waiting for tool responses. We refer to this capability as asynchronous tool calling. To evaluate it, we propose AsyncTool, a benchmark for assessing LLM-based agents in interactive multi-task tool-use environments with delayed tool feedback. AsyncTool presents multiple heterogeneous tasks simultaneously and simulates realistic tool response latency during execution. Using a hybrid data evolution strategy, we construct a diverse asynchronous multitasking dataset that covers multiple scenarios and tool-use patterns. We evaluate models at the step, sub-task, and task levels, and introduce efficiency-oriented metrics to measure task coordination and completion efficiency. Extensive experiments show that delayed tool feedback poses substantial challenges to current agents and leads to clear performance degradation. Models that better coordinate task switching, dependency tracking, and state maintenance achieve stronger performance on AsyncTool. Our analysis identifies key failure modes of current tool-using agents and provides practical insights for designing future systems with stronger temporal reasoning and coordination capabilities.

GATraj: A Graph- and Attention-based Multi-Agent Trajectory Prediction Model

Trajectory prediction has been a long-standing problem in intelligent systems like autonomous driving and robot navigation. Models trained on large-scale benchmarks have made significant progress in improving prediction accuracy. However, the importance on efficiency for real-time applications has been less emphasized. This paper proposes an attention-based graph model, named GATraj, which achieves a good balance of prediction accuracy and inference speed. We use attention mechanisms to model the spatial-temporal dynamics of agents, such as pedestrians or vehicles, and a graph convolutional network to model their interactions. Additionally, a Laplacian mixture decoder is implemented to mitigate mode collapse and generate diverse multimodal predictions for each agent. GATraj achieves state-of-the-art prediction performance at a much higher speed when tested on the ETH/UCY datasets for pedestrian trajectories, and good performance at about 100 Hz inference speed when tested on the nuScenes dataset for autonomous driving. We conduct extensive experiments to analyze the probability estimation of the Laplacian mixture decoder and compare it with a Gaussian mixture decoder for predicting different multimodalities. Furthermore, comprehensive ablation studies demonstrate the effectiveness of each proposed module in GATraj. The code is released at https://github.com/mengmengliu1998/GATraj.

Weak order one convergence of structure-preserving stochastic theta methods for stochastic differential algebraic equations with time-dependent singular matrices

This paper studies the weak convergence order of structure-preserving stochastic theta methods for a class of index-$1$ stochastic differential algebraic equations with time-dependent singular matrices. The singular matrix is allowed to vary in time but preserves a fixed differential-algebraic splitting, thereby extending the constant singular-matrix setting while retaining the projector structure required for constraint preservation. By exploiting the index-$1$ algebraic-differential decomposition of the exact solution, we establish an abstract weak convergence theorem for constraint-preserving one-step approximations and apply it to the stochastic theta method with $θ\in (0,1]$. Under global Lipschitz, linear growth, and suitable smoothness assumptions, the considered method is proved to be well posed, to preserve the algebraic constraints at all time levels, and to converge with weak order one. Numerical experiments are finally presented to confirm the structure-preserving property and the theoretical convergence order.

Reusing the Task-specific Classifier as a Discriminator: Discriminator-free Adversarial Domain Adaptation

Adversarial learning has achieved remarkable performances for unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA). Existing adversarial UDA methods typically adopt an additional discriminator to play the min-max game with a feature extractor. However, most of these methods failed to effectively leverage the predicted discriminative information, and thus cause mode collapse for generator. In this work, we address this problem from a different perspective and design a simple yet effective adversarial paradigm in the form of a discriminator-free adversarial learning network (DALN), wherein the category classifier is reused as a discriminator, which achieves explicit domain alignment and category distinguishment through a unified objective, enabling the DALN to leverage the predicted discriminative information for sufficient feature alignment. Basically, we introduce a Nuclear-norm Wasserstein discrepancy (NWD) that has definite guidance meaning for performing discrimination. Such NWD can be coupled with the classifier to serve as a discriminator satisfying the K-Lipschitz constraint without the requirements of additional weight clipping or gradient penalty strategy. Without bells and whistles, DALN compares favorably against the existing state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods on a variety of public datasets. Moreover, as a plug-and-play technique, NWD can be directly used as a generic regularizer to benefit existing UDA algorithms. Code is available at https://github.com/xiaoachen98/DALN.

Generating 2-Gray codes for grand Motzkin paths and grand Dyck paths with air pockets in constant amortized time

A grand Motzkin path with air pockets is a non-empty lattice path in the first and fourth quadrant of $\mathbb{Z}^2$, starting at the origin $(0,0)$, ending on the $x$-axis, and consisting of up-steps $(1, 1)$, horizontal steps $(1, 0)$, down-steps $(1, -k)$ where $k \geq 1$, and with no consecutive down-steps. A {grand Dyck path with air pockets} is a grand Motzkin path with air pockets that uses no horizontal steps. We present the first known 2-Gray codes for grand Motzkin paths with air pockets. Setting the number of horizontal steps to zero in our algorithm yields the first known 2-Gray codes for grand Dyck paths with air pockets. Our three-stage algorithm generates each path in constant amortized time per string, using $O(n^2)$ memory. We also provide enumeration formulae for grand Motzkin paths and grand Dyck paths with air pockets.

ShareGPT4V: Improving Large Multi-Modal Models with Better Captions

In the realm of large multi-modal models (LMMs), efficient modality alignment is crucial yet often constrained by the scarcity of high-quality image-text data. To address this bottleneck, we introduce the ShareGPT4V dataset, a pioneering large-scale resource featuring 1.2 million highly descriptive captions, which surpasses existing datasets in diversity and information content, covering world knowledge, object properties, spatial relationships, and aesthetic evaluations. Specifically, ShareGPT4V originates from a curated 100K high-quality captions collected from advanced GPT4-Vision and has been expanded to 1.2M with a superb caption model trained on this subset. ShareGPT4V first demonstrates its effectiveness for the Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) phase, by substituting an equivalent quantity of detailed captions in existing SFT datasets with a subset of our high-quality captions, significantly enhancing the LMMs like LLaVA-7B, LLaVA-1.5-13B, and Qwen-VL-Chat-7B on the MME and MMBench benchmarks, with respective gains of 222.8/22.0/22.3 and 2.7/1.3/1.5. We further incorporate ShareGPT4V data into both the pre-training and SFT phases, obtaining ShareGPT4V-7B, a superior LMM based on a simple architecture that has remarkable performance across a majority of the multi-modal benchmarks. Deliberated Domain Bridging for Domain Adaptive Semantic Segmentation

In unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA), directly adapting from the source to the target domain usually suffers significant discrepancies and leads to insufficient alignment. Thus, many UDA works attempt to vanish the domain gap gradually and softly via various intermediate spaces, dubbed domain bridging (DB). However, for dense prediction tasks such as domain adaptive semantic segmentation (DASS), existing solutions have mostly relied on rough style transfer and how to elegantly bridge domains is still under-explored. In this work, we resort to data mixing to establish a deliberated domain bridging (DDB) for DASS, through which the joint distributions of source and target domains are aligned and interacted with each in the intermediate space. At the heart of DDB lies a dual-path domain bridging step for generating two intermediate domains using the coarse-wise and the fine-wise data mixing techniques, alongside a cross-path knowledge distillation step for taking two complementary models trained on generated intermediate samples as 'teachers' to develop a superior 'student' in a multi-teacher distillation manner. These two optimization steps work in an alternating way and reinforce each other to give rise to DDB with strong adaptation power. Extensive experiments on adaptive segmentation tasks with different settings demonstrate that our DDB significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods. LAformer: Trajectory Prediction for Autonomous Driving with Lane-Aware Scene Constraints

Trajectory prediction for autonomous driving must continuously reason the motion stochasticity of road agents and comply with scene constraints. Existing methods typically rely on one-stage trajectory prediction models, which condition future trajectories on observed trajectories combined with fused scene information. However, they often struggle with complex scene constraints, such as those encountered at intersections. To this end, we present a novel method, called LAformer. It uses a temporally dense lane-aware estimation module to select only the top highly potential lane segments in an HD map, which effectively and continuously aligns motion dynamics with scene information, reducing the representation requirements for the subsequent attention-based decoder by filtering out irrelevant lane segments. Additionally, unlike one-stage prediction models, LAformer utilizes predictions from the first stage as anchor trajectories and adds a second-stage motion refinement module to further explore temporal consistency across the complete time horizon. Extensive experiments on Argoverse 1 and nuScenes demonstrate that LAformer achieves excellent performance for multimodal trajectory prediction.

Accelerating Scientific Research with Gemini: Case Studies and Common Techniques

Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have opened new avenues for accelerating scientific research. While models are increasingly capable of assisting with routine tasks, their ability to contribute to novel, expert-level mathematical discovery is less understood. We present a collection of case studies demonstrating how researchers have successfully collaborated with advanced AI models, specifically Google's Gemini-based models (in particular Gemini Deep Think and its advanced variants), to solve open problems, refute conjectures, and generate new proofs across diverse areas in theoretical computer science, as well as other areas such as economics, optimization, and physics. Based on these experiences, we extract common techniques for effective human-AI collaboration in theoretical research, such as iterative refinement, problem decomposition, and cross-disciplinary knowledge transfer. While the majority of our results stem from this interactive, conversational methodology, we also highlight specific instances that push beyond standard chat interfaces. These include deploying the model as a rigorous adversarial reviewer to detect subtle flaws in existing proofs, and embedding it within a "neuro-symbolic" loop that autonomously writes and executes code to verify complex derivations. Together, these examples highlight the potential of AI not just as a tool for automation, but as a versatile, genuine partner in the creative process of scientific discovery.

Sequential Attention for Feature Selection

Feature selection is the problem of selecting a subset of features for a machine learning model that maximizes model quality subject to a budget constraint. For neural networks, prior methods, including those based on $\ell_1$ regularization, attention, and other techniques, typically select the entire feature subset in one evaluation round, ignoring the residual value of features during selection, i.e., the marginal contribution of a feature given that other features have already been selected. We propose a feature selection algorithm called Sequential Attention that achieves state-of-the-art empirical results for neural networks. This algorithm is based on an efficient one-pass implementation of greedy forward selection and uses attention weights at each step as a proxy for feature importance. We give theoretical insights into our algorithm for linear regression by showing that an adaptation to this setting is equivalent to the classical Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) algorithm, and thus inherits all of its provable guarantees. Our theoretical and empirical analyses offer new explanations towards the effectiveness of attention and its connections to overparameterization, which may be of independent interest.

Vision-DeepResearch: Incentivizing DeepResearch Capability in Multimodal Large Language Models

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have achieved remarkable success across a broad range of vision tasks. However, constrained by the capacity of their internal world knowledge, prior work has proposed augmenting MLLMs by ``reasoning-then-tool-call'' for visual and textual search engines to obtain substantial gains on tasks requiring extensive factual information. However, these approaches typically define multimodal search in a naive setting, assuming that a single full-level or entity-level image query and few text query suffices to retrieve the key evidence needed to answer the question, which is unrealistic in real-world scenarios with substantial visual noise. Moreover, they are often limited in the reasoning depth and search breadth, making it difficult to solve complex questions that require aggregating evidence from diverse visual and textual sources. Building on this, we propose Vision-DeepResearch, which proposes one new multimodal deep-research paradigm, i.e., performs multi-turn, multi-entity and multi-scale visual and textual search to robustly hit real-world search engines under heavy noise. Our Vision-DeepResearch supports dozens of reasoning steps and hundreds of engine interactions, while internalizing deep-research capabilities into the MLLM via cold-start supervision and RL training, resulting in a strong end-to-end multimodal deep-research MLLM. It substantially outperforming existing multimodal deep-research MLLMs, and workflows built on strong closed-source foundation model such as GPT-5, Gemini-2.5-pro and Claude-4-Sonnet. Model Doctor for Diagnosing and Treating Segmentation Error

Despite the remarkable progress in semantic segmentation tasks with the advancement of deep neural networks, existing U-shaped hierarchical typical segmentation networks still suffer from local misclassification of categories and inaccurate target boundaries. In an effort to alleviate this issue, we propose a Model Doctor for semantic segmentation problems. The Model Doctor is designed to diagnose the aforementioned problems in existing pre-trained models and treat them without introducing additional data, with the goal of refining the parameters to achieve better performance. Extensive experiments on several benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. Code is available at \url{https://github.com/zhijiejia/SegDoctor}.

Vision-DeepResearch Benchmark: Rethinking Visual and Textual Search for Multimodal Large Language Models

Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have advanced VQA and now support Vision-DeepResearch systems that use search engines for complex visual-textual fact-finding. However, evaluating these visual and textual search abilities is still difficult, and existing benchmarks have two major limitations. First, existing benchmarks are not visual search-centric: answers that should require visual search are often leaked through cross-textual cues in the text questions or can be inferred from the prior world knowledge in current MLLMs. Second, overly idealized evaluation scenario: On the image-search side, the required information can often be obtained via near-exact matching against the full image, while the text-search side is overly direct and insufficiently challenging. To address these issues, we construct the Vision-DeepResearch benchmark (VDR-Bench) comprising 2,000 VQA instances. All questions are created via a careful, multi-stage curation pipeline and rigorous expert review, designed to assess the behavior of Vision-DeepResearch systems under realistic real-world conditions. Moreover, to address the insufficient visual retrieval capabilities of current MLLMs, we propose a simple multi-round cropped-search workflow. This strategy is shown to effectively improve model performance in realistic visual retrieval scenarios. FedRule: Federated Rule Recommendation System with Graph Neural Networks

Much of the value that IoT (Internet-of-Things) devices bring to ``smart'' homes lies in their ability to automatically trigger other devices' actions: for example, a smart camera triggering a smart lock to unlock a door. Manually setting up these rules for smart devices or applications, however, is time-consuming and inefficient. Rule recommendation systems can automatically suggest rules for users by learning which rules are popular based on those previously deployed (e.g., in others' smart homes). Conventional recommendation formulations require a central server to record the rules used in many users' homes, which compromises their privacy and leaves them vulnerable to attacks on the central server's database of rules. Moreover, these solutions typically leverage generic user-item matrix methods that do not fully exploit the structure of the rule recommendation problem. In this paper, we propose a new rule recommendation system, dubbed as FedRule, to address these challenges. One graph is constructed per user upon the rules s/he is using, and the rule recommendation is formulated as a link prediction task in these graphs. This formulation enables us to design a federated training algorithm that is able to keep users' data private. Extensive experiments corroborate our claims by demonstrating that FedRule has comparable performance as the centralized setting and outperforms conventional solutions.

CurriculumLoc: Enhancing Cross-Domain Geolocalization through Multi-Stage Refinement

Visual geolocalization is a cost-effective and scalable task that involves matching one or more query images, taken at some unknown location, to a set of geo-tagged reference images. Existing methods, devoted to semantic features representation, evolving towards robustness to a wide variety between query and reference, including illumination and viewpoint changes, as well as scale and seasonal variations. However, practical visual geolocalization approaches need to be robust in appearance changing and extreme viewpoint variation conditions, while providing accurate global location estimates. Therefore, inspired by curriculum design, human learn general knowledge first and then delve into professional expertise. We first recognize semantic scene and then measure geometric structure. Our approach, termed CurriculumLoc, involves a delicate design of multi-stage refinement pipeline and a novel keypoint detection and description with global semantic awareness and local geometric verification. We rerank candidates and solve a particular cross-domain perspective-n-point (PnP) problem based on these keypoints and corresponding descriptors, position refinement occurs incrementally. The extensive experimental results on our collected dataset, TerraTrack and a benchmark dataset, ALTO, demonstrate that our approach results in the aforementioned desirable characteristics of a practical visual geolocalization solution. Additionally, we achieve new high recall@1 scores of 62.6% and 94.5% on ALTO, with two different distances metrics, respectively. On Optimality of Myopic Policy for Restless Multi-armed Bandit Problem with Non i.i.d. Arms and Imperfect Detection

We consider the channel access problem in a multi-channel opportunistic communication system with imperfect channel sensing, where the state of each channel evolves as a non independent and identically distributed Markov process. This problem can be cast into a restless multi-armed bandit (RMAB) problem that is intractable for its exponential computation complexity. A natural alternative is to consider the easily implementable myopic policy that maximizes the immediate reward but ignores the impact of the current strategy on the future reward. In particular, we develop three axioms characterizing a family of generic and practically important functions termed as $g$-regular functions which includes a wide spectrum of utility functions in engineering. By pursuing a mathematical analysis based on the axioms, we establish a set of closed-form structural conditions for the optimality of myopic policy.

Collaboration in Participant-Centric Federated Learning: A Game-Theoretical Perspective

Federated learning (FL) is a promising distributed framework for collaborative artificial intelligence model training while protecting user privacy. A bootstrapping component that has attracted significant research attention is the design of incentive mechanism to stimulate user collaboration in FL. The majority of works adopt a broker-centric approach to help the central operator to attract participants and further obtain a well-trained model. Few works consider forging participant-centric collaboration among participants to pursue an FL model for their common interests, which induces dramatic differences in incentive mechanism design from the broker-centric FL. To coordinate the selfish and heterogeneous participants, we propose a novel analytic framework for incentivizing effective and efficient collaborations for participant-centric FL. Specifically, we respectively propose two novel game models for contribution-oblivious FL (COFL) and contribution-aware FL (CAFL), where the latter one implements a minimum contribution threshold mechanism. We further analyze the uniqueness and existence for Nash equilibrium of both COFL and CAFL games and design efficient algorithms to achieve equilibrium solutions. Extensive performance evaluations show that there exists free-riding phenomenon in COFL, which can be greatly alleviated through the adoption of CAFL model with the optimized minimum threshold.

Learning 3D Semantics from Pose-Noisy 2D Images with Hierarchical Full Attention Network

We propose a novel framework to learn 3D point cloud semantics from 2D multi-view image observations containing pose error. On the one hand, directly learning from the massive, unstructured and unordered 3D point cloud is computationally and algorithmically more difficult than learning from compactly-organized and context-rich 2D RGB images. On the other hand, both LiDAR point cloud and RGB images are captured in standard automated-driving datasets. This motivates us to conduct a "task transfer" paradigm so that 3D semantic segmentation benefits from aggregating 2D semantic cues, albeit pose noises are contained in 2D image observations. Among all difficulties, pose noise and erroneous prediction from 2D semantic segmentation approaches are the main challenges for the task transfer. To alleviate the influence of those factor, we perceive each 3D point using multi-view images and for each single image a patch observation is associated. Moreover, the semantic labels of a block of neighboring 3D points are predicted simultaneously, enabling us to exploit the point structure prior to further improve the performance. A hierarchical full attention network~(HiFANet) is designed to sequentially aggregates patch, bag-of-frames and inter-point semantic cues, with hierarchical attention mechanism tailored for different level of semantic cues. Also, each preceding attention block largely reduces the feature size before feeding to the next attention block, making our framework slim. Experiment results on Semantic-KITTI show that the proposed framework outperforms existing 3D point cloud based methods significantly, it requires much less training data and exhibits tolerance to pose noise. Imbalanced Large Graph Learning Framework for FPGA Logic Elements Packing Prediction

Packing is a required step in a typical FPGA CAD flow. It has high impacts to the performance of FPGA placement and routing. Early prediction of packing results can guide design optimization and expedite design closure. In this work, we propose an imbalanced large graph learning framework, ImLG, for prediction of whether logic elements will be packed after placement. Specifically, we propose dedicated feature extraction and feature aggregation methods to enhance the node representation learning of circuit graphs. With imbalanced distribution of packed and unpacked logic elements, we further propose techniques such as graph oversampling and mini-batch training for this imbalanced learning task in large circuit graphs. Experimental results demonstrate that our framework can improve the F1 score by 42.82% compared to the most recent Gaussian-based prediction method. Physical design results show that the proposed method can assist the placer in improving routed wirelength by 0.93% and SLICE occupation by 0.89%.

HybridFusion: LiDAR and Vision Cross-Source Point Cloud Fusion

Recently, cross-source point cloud registration from different sensors has become a significant research focus. However, traditional methods confront challenges due to the varying density and structure of cross-source point clouds. In order to solve these problems, we propose a cross-source point cloud fusion algorithm called HybridFusion. It can register cross-source dense point clouds from different viewing angle in outdoor large scenes. The entire registration process is a coarse-to-fine procedure. First, the point cloud is divided into small patches, and a matching patch set is selected based on global descriptors and spatial distribution, which constitutes the coarse matching process. To achieve fine matching, 2D registration is performed by extracting 2D boundary points from patches, followed by 3D adjustment. Finally, the results of multiple patch pose estimates are clustered and fused to determine the final pose. The proposed approach is evaluated comprehensively through qualitative and quantitative experiments. In order to compare the robustness of cross-source point cloud registration, the proposed method and generalized iterative closest point method are compared. Furthermore, a metric for describing the degree of point cloud filling is proposed. The experimental results demonstrate that our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance in cross-source point cloud registration.

SaaSBench: Exploring the Boundaries of Coding Agents in Long-Horizon Enterprise SaaS Engineering

As autonomous coding agents become capable of handling increasingly long-horizon tasks, they have gradually demonstrated the potential to complete end-to-end software development. Although existing benchmarks have recently evolved from localized code editing to from-scratch project generation, they remain confined to structurally simplified, single-stack applications. Consequently, they fail to capture the heterogeneous environments, full-stack orchestration, and system-level complexity of real enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) systems, leaving a critical gap in assessing agents under realistic engineering constraints. To fill this gap, we introduce SaaSBench, the first benchmark designed to explore the boundaries of AI agents in enterprise SaaS engineering. Spanning 30 complex tasks across 6 SaaS domains with 5,370 validation nodes, it incorporates 8 programming languages, 6 databases, and 13 frameworks to meticulously mirror real-world software heterogeneity. Furthermore, we design a dependency-aware hybrid evaluation paradigm tailored for complex systems with long horizons and multi-component coupling, enabling fine-grained, reproducible assessment. Crucially, our extensive experiments reveal a striking insight: the primary bottleneck for state-of-the-art agents is not generating isolated code logic, but successfully configuring and integrating a multi-component system. Over 95\% of task failures occur before agents even reach deep business logic, with models often falling victim to overconfidence and prematurely halting during foundational system setup, or getting trapped in ineffective debugging loops. We hope SaaSBench serves as a practical and challenging testbed to drive the evolution of reliable, system-level coding agents. VimRAG: Navigating Massive Visual Context in Retrieval-Augmented Generation via Multimodal Memory Graph

Effectively retrieving, reasoning, and understanding multimodal information remains a critical challenge for agentic systems. Traditional Retrieval-augmented Generation (RAG) methods rely on linear interaction histories, which struggle to handle long-context tasks, especially those involving information-sparse yet token-heavy visual data in iterative reasoning scenarios. To bridge this gap, we introduce VimRAG, a framework tailored for multimodal Retrieval-augmented Reasoning across text, images, and videos. Inspired by our systematic study, we model the reasoning process as a dynamic directed acyclic graph that structures the agent states and retrieved multimodal evidence. Building upon this structured memory, we introduce a Graph-Modulated Visual Memory Encoding mechanism, with which the significance of memory nodes is evaluated via their topological position, allowing the model to dynamically allocate high-resolution tokens to pivotal evidence while compressing or discarding trivial clues. To implement this paradigm, we propose a Graph-Guided Policy Optimization strategy. This strategy disentangles step-wise validity from trajectory-level rewards by pruning memory nodes associated with redundant actions, thereby facilitating fine-grained credit assignment. Joint Training of Multi-Token Prediction in Reinforcement Learning via Optimal Coefficient Calibration

Reinforcement Learning from Verifiable Rewards (RLVR) has emerged as the standard paradigm for improving reasoning capability of large language models, while Multi-Token Prediction (MTP) has been a widely adopted module in pretraining. Combining them is a natural approach, yet current RL practices detach MTP gradients because joint training degrades the performance. We revisit this failure from an optimization perspective. We show that the per-step effect of MTP on the RL objective can be decomposed into two terms: a first-order correlation and a second-order perturbation penalty. This decomposition unifies three MTP training regimes: Detach, Cross-Entropy loss, and Policy loss, and explains why each succeeds or fails. Further analysis of policy loss reveals that, although it aligns with intuition, performance still degrades: the correlation term decays while the quadratic penalty persists. Guided by the analysis, we propose Optimal Coefficient Calibration (OCC), an adaptive scheme that tracks the optimal coefficient online via a log-probability proxy at negligible cost. Across six competition-level mathematical reasoning benchmarks, OCC consistently matches or exceeds the detach baseline, delivering improved joint MTP-RL training performance.

An End-to-End Framework of Road User Detection, Tracking, and Prediction from Monocular Images

Perception that involves multi-object detection and tracking, and trajectory prediction are two major tasks of autonomous driving. However, they are currently mostly studied separately, which results in most trajectory prediction modules being developed based on ground truth trajectories without taking into account that trajectories extracted from the detection and tracking modules in real-world scenarios are noisy. These noisy trajectories can have a significant impact on the performance of the trajectory predictor and can lead to serious prediction errors. In this paper, we build an end-to-end framework for detection, tracking, and trajectory prediction called ODTP (Online Detection, Tracking and Prediction). It adopts the state-of-the-art online multi-object tracking model, QD-3DT, for perception and trains the trajectory predictor, DCENet++, directly based on the detection results without purely relying on ground truth trajectories. We evaluate the performance of ODTP on the widely used nuScenes dataset for autonomous driving. Extensive experiments show that ODPT achieves high performance end-to-end trajectory prediction. DCENet++, with the enhanced dynamic maps, predicts more accurate trajectories than its base model. It is also more robust when compared with other generative and deterministic trajectory prediction models trained on noisy detection results.

From Static to Dynamic Tag Population Estimation: An Extended Kalman Filter Perspective

Tag population estimation has recently attracted significant research attention due to its paramount importance on a variety of radio frequency identification (RFID) applications. However, most, if not all, of existing estimation mechanisms are proposed for the static case where tag population remains constant during the estimation process, thus leaving the more challenging dynamic case unaddressed, despite the fundamental importance of the latter case on both theoretical analysis and practical application. In order to bridge this gap, %based on \textit{dynamic framed-slotted ALOHA} (DFSA) protocol, we devote this paper to designing a generic framework of stable and accurate tag population estimation schemes based on Kalman filter for both static and dynamic RFID systems. %The objective is to devise estimation schemes and analyze the boundedness of estimation error. Technically, we first model the dynamics of RFID systems as discrete stochastic processes and leverage the techniques in extended Kalman filter (EKF) and cumulative sum control chart (CUSUM) to estimate tag population for both static and dynamic systems. By employing Lyapunov drift analysis, we mathematically characterise the performance of the proposed framework in terms of estimation accuracy and convergence speed by deriving the closed-form conditions on the design parameters under which our scheme can stabilise around the real population size with bounded relative estimation error that tends to zero with exponential convergence rate.

Audit and Improve Robustness of Private Neural Networks on Encrypted Data

Performing neural network inference on encrypted data without decryption is one popular method to enable privacy-preserving neural networks (PNet) as a service. Compared with regular neural networks deployed for machine-learning-as-a-service, PNet requires additional encoding, e.g., quantized-precision numbers, and polynomial activation. Encrypted input also introduces novel challenges such as adversarial robustness and security. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to study questions including (i) Whether PNet is more robust against adversarial inputs than regular neural networks? (ii) How to design a robust PNet given the encrypted input without decryption? We propose PNet-Attack to generate black-box adversarial examples that can successfully attack PNet in both target and untarget manners. The attack results show that PNet robustness against adversarial inputs needs to be improved. This is not a trivial task because the PNet model owner does not have access to the plaintext of the input values, which prevents the application of existing detection and defense methods such as input tuning, model normalization, and adversarial training. To tackle this challenge, we propose a new fast and accurate noise insertion method, called RPNet, to design Robust and Private Neural Networks. Our comprehensive experiments show that PNet-Attack reduces at least $2.5\times$ queries than prior works. We theoretically analyze our RPNet methods and demonstrate that RPNet can decrease $\sim 91.88\%$ attack success rate.

Can We Hear from Events? Generating Speech from Event Camera

Traditional RGB-based speech generation faces Temporal Granularity Mismatch since fixed camera exposure times inevitably blur the high-frequency articulatory transients essential for rendering emotional speech. To break this ceiling, we propose EventSpeech as a novel text-conditioned framework pioneering the use of neuromorphic events for expressive speech generation, since these microsecond-precise events naturally align with acoustic waveform dynamics. Our architecture integrates a dedicated Event Encoder to model sparse neuromorphic events alongside a multi-scale Audio Encoder featuring a Hierarchical Wavelet Contextualizer (HWC). A bidirectional alignment mechanism seamlessly synchronizes linguistic content and visual dynamics with dense acoustic features. Furthermore, we construct EVT-SPK as the first benchmark comprising large-scale synthetic data and real-world recordings from specialized neuromorphic hardware. Extensive evaluations demonstrate that EventSpeech significantly outperforms current baselines by preserving fine-grained emotions and resisting motion blur to establish a new paradigm for multimodal speech generation. Beyond Sequential Distance: Inter-Modal Distance Invariant Position Encoding

Despite the remarkable capabilities of Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs), they still suffer from visual fading in long-context scenarios. Specifically, the attention to visual tokens diminishes as the text sequence lengthens, leading to text generation detached from visual constraints. We attribute this degradation to the inherent inductive bias of Multimodal RoPE, which penalizes inter-modal attention as the distance between visual and text tokens increases. To address this, we propose inter-modal Distance Invariant Position Encoding (DIPE), a simple but effective mechanism that disentangles position encoding based on modality interactions. DIPE retains the natural relative positioning for intra-modal interactions to preserve local structure, while enforcing an anchored perceptual proximity for inter-modal interactions. This strategy effectively mitigates the inter-modal distance-based penalty, ensuring that visual signals remain perceptually consistent regardless of the context length. Experimental results demonstrate that by integrating DIPE with Multimodal RoPE, the model maintains stable visual grounding in long-context scenarios, significantly alleviating visual fading while preserving performance on standard short-context benchmarks. FreeDrag: Feature Dragging for Reliable Point-based Image Editing

To serve the intricate and varied demands of image editing, precise and flexible manipulation in image content is indispensable. Recently, Drag-based editing methods have gained impressive performance. However, these methods predominantly center on point dragging, resulting in two noteworthy drawbacks, namely "miss tracking", where difficulties arise in accurately tracking the predetermined handle points, and "ambiguous tracking", where tracked points are potentially positioned in wrong regions that closely resemble the handle points. To address the above issues, we propose FreeDrag, a feature dragging methodology designed to free the burden on point tracking. The FreeDrag incorporates two key designs, i.e., template feature via adaptive updating and line search with backtracking, the former improves the stability against drastic content change by elaborately controls feature updating scale after each dragging, while the latter alleviates the misguidance from similar points by actively restricting the search area in a line. These two technologies together contribute to a more stable semantic dragging with higher efficiency. Comprehensive experimental results substantiate that our approach significantly outperforms pre-existing methodologies, offering reliable point-based editing even in various complex scenarios.

Open-Sora Plan: Open-Source Large Video Generation Model

We introduce Open-Sora Plan, an open-source project that aims to contribute a large generation model for generating desired high-resolution videos with long durations based on various user inputs. Our project comprises multiple components for the entire video generation process, including a Wavelet-Flow Variational Autoencoder, a Joint Image-Video Skiparse Denoiser, and various condition controllers. Moreover, many assistant strategies for efficient training and inference are designed, and a multi-dimensional data curation pipeline is proposed for obtaining desired high-quality data. Benefiting from efficient thoughts, our Open-Sora Plan achieves impressive video generation results in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations. We hope our careful design and practical experience can inspire the video generation research community. Life Regression based Patch Slimming for Vision Transformers

Vision transformers have achieved remarkable success in computer vision tasks by using multi-head self-attention modules to capture long-range dependencies within images. However, the high inference computation cost poses a new challenge. Several methods have been proposed to address this problem, mainly by slimming patches. In the inference stage, these methods classify patches into two classes, one to keep and the other to discard in multiple layers. This approach results in additional computation at every layer where patches are discarded, which hinders inference acceleration. In this study, we tackle the patch slimming problem from a different perspective by proposing a life regression module that determines the lifespan of each image patch in one go. During inference, the patch is discarded once the current layer index exceeds its life. Our proposed method avoids additional computation and parameters in multiple layers to enhance inference speed while maintaining competitive performance. Additionally, our approach requires fewer training epochs than other patch slimming methods.

Beyond Next-Token Alignment: Distilling Multimodal Large Language Models via Token Interactions

Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) demonstrate impressive cross-modal capabilities, yet their substantial size poses significant deployment challenges. Knowledge distillation (KD) is a promising solution for compressing these models, but existing methods primarily rely on static next-token alignment, neglecting the dynamic token interactions, which embed essential capabilities for multimodal understanding and generation. To this end, we introduce Align-TI, a novel KD framework designed from the perspective of Token Interactions. Our approach is motivated by the insight that MLLMs rely on two primary interactions: vision-instruction token interactions to extract relevant visual information, and intra-response token interactions for coherent generation. Accordingly, Align-TI introduces two components: IVA enables the student model to imitate the teacher's instruction-relevant visual information extract capability by aligning on salient visual regions. TPA captures the teacher's dynamic generative logic by aligning the sequential token-to-token transition probabilities. Extensive experiments demonstrate Align-TI's superiority. Notably, our approach achieves $2.6\%$ relative improvement over Vanilla KD, and our distilled Align-TI-2B even outperforms LLaVA-1.5-7B (a much larger MLLM) by $7.0\%$, establishing a new state-of-the-art distillation framework for training parameter-efficient MLLMs. Code is available at https://github.com/lchen1019/Align-TI.

HorizonBench: Long-Horizon Personalization with Evolving Preferences

User preferences evolve across months of interaction, and tracking them requires inferring when a stated preference has been changed by a subsequent life event. We define this problem as long-horizon personalization and observe that progress on it is limited by data availability and measurement, with no existing resource providing both naturalistic long-horizon interactions and the ground-truth provenance needed to diagnose why models fail. We introduce a data generator that produces conversations from a structured mental state graph, yielding ground-truth provenance for every preference change across 6-month timelines, and from it construct HorizonBench, a benchmark of 4,245 items from 360 simulated users with 6-month conversation histories averaging ~4,300 turns and ~163K tokens. HorizonBench provides a testbed for long-context modeling, memory-augmented architectures, theory-of-mind reasoning, and user modeling. Across 25 frontier models, the best model reaches 52.8% and most score at or below the 20% chance baseline. When these models err on evolved preferences, over a third of the time they select the user's originally stated value without tracking the updated user state. This belief-update failure persists across context lengths and expression explicitness levels, identifying state-tracking capability as the primary bottleneck for long-horizon personalization.

Disentangle then Parse:Night-time Semantic Segmentation with Illumination Disentanglement

Most prior semantic segmentation methods have been developed for day-time scenes, while typically underperforming in night-time scenes due to insufficient and complicated lighting conditions. In this work, we tackle this challenge by proposing a novel night-time semantic segmentation paradigm, i.e., disentangle then parse (DTP). DTP explicitly disentangles night-time images into light-invariant reflectance and light-specific illumination components and then recognizes semantics based on their adaptive fusion. Concretely, the proposed DTP comprises two key components: 1) Instead of processing lighting-entangled features as in prior works, our Semantic-Oriented Disentanglement (SOD) framework enables the extraction of reflectance component without being impeded by lighting, allowing the network to consistently recognize the semantics under cover of varying and complicated lighting conditions. 2) Based on the observation that the illumination component can serve as a cue for some semantically confused regions, we further introduce an Illumination-Aware Parser (IAParser) to explicitly learn the correlation between semantics and lighting, and aggregate the illumination features to yield more precise predictions. Extensive experiments on the night-time segmentation task with various settings demonstrate that DTP significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods. Furthermore, with negligible additional parameters, DTP can be directly used to benefit existing day-time methods for night-time segmentation.

Near-Tight Approximation Algorithms for Bottleneck Multiple Knapsack Problems

In the bottleneck multiple knapsack problem, we are given a set of items and a set of knapsacks, where each item has a profit and a weight, and each knapsack has a capacity. Our goal is to assign items to knapsacks so as to maximize the minimum profit received by any knapsack subject to the capacity constraint. When all knapsacks have identical capacity, we give a $(\frac{2}{3} - \varepsilon)$-approximation algorithm for any constant $\varepsilon > 0$. This result almost matches the $(\frac{2}{3} + \varepsilon)$ inapproximability bound for the bottleneck multiple subset sum problem (Caprara et al., 2000). When the knapsacks can have arbitrary capacities, we propose a $(\frac{1}{2} - \varepsilon)$-approximation algorithm for any constant $\varepsilon > 0$. We also prove a hardness bound of $(\frac{1}{2} + \varepsilon)$ for any constant $\varepsilon > 0$.

BiMoE: Brain-Inspired Experts for EEG-Dominant Affective State Recognition

Multimodal Sentiment Analysis (MSA) that integrates Electroencephalogram (EEG) with peripheral physiological signals (PPS) is crucial for the development of brain-computer interface (BCI) systems. However, existing methods encounter three major challenges: (1) overlooking the region-specific characteristics of affective processing by treating EEG signals as homogeneous; (2) treating EEG as a black-box input, which lacks interpretability into neural representations;(3) ineffective fusion of EEG features with complementary PPS features. To overcome these issues, we propose BiMoE, a novel brain-inspired mixture of experts framework. BiMoE partitions EEG signals in a brain-topology-aware manner, with each expert utilizing a dual-stream encoder to extract local and global spatiotemporal features. A dedicated expert handles PPS using multi-scale large-kernel convolutions. All experts are dynamically fused through adaptive routing and a joint loss function. Evaluated under strict subject-independent settings, BiMoE consistently surpasses state-of-the-art baselines across various affective dimensions. Roulette: A Semantic Privacy-Preserving Device-Edge Collaborative Inference Framework for Deep Learning Classification Tasks

Deep learning classifiers are crucial in the age of artificial intelligence. The device-edge-based collaborative inference has been widely adopted as an efficient framework for promoting its applications in IoT and 5G/6G networks. However, it suffers from accuracy degradation under non-i.i.d. data distribution and privacy disclosure. For accuracy degradation, direct use of transfer learning and split learning is high cost and privacy issues remain. For privacy disclosure, cryptography-based approaches lead to a huge overhead. Other lightweight methods assume that the ground truth is non-sensitive and can be exposed. But for many applications, the ground truth is the user's crucial privacy-sensitive information. In this paper, we propose a framework of Roulette, which is a task-oriented semantic privacy-preserving collaborative inference framework for deep learning classifiers. More than input data, we treat the ground truth of the data as private information. We develop a novel paradigm of split learning where the back-end DNN is frozen and the front-end DNN is retrained to be both a feature extractor and an encryptor. Moreover, we provide a differential privacy guarantee and analyze the hardness of ground truth inference attacks. To validate the proposed Roulette, we conduct extensive performance evaluations using realistic datasets, which demonstrate that Roulette can effectively defend against various attacks and meanwhile achieve good model accuracy. In a situation where the non-i.i.d. is very severe, Roulette improves the inference accuracy by 21\% averaged over benchmarks, while making the accuracy of discrimination attacks almost equivalent to random guessing.

Stronger, Fewer, & Superior: Harnessing Vision Foundation Models for Domain Generalized Semantic Segmentation

In this paper, we first assess and harness various Vision Foundation Models (VFMs) in the context of Domain Generalized Semantic Segmentation (DGSS). Driven by the motivation that Leveraging Stronger pre-trained models and Fewer trainable parameters for Superior generalizability, we introduce a robust fine-tuning approach, namely Rein, to parameter-efficiently harness VFMs for DGSS. Built upon a set of trainable tokens, each linked to distinct instances, Rein precisely refines and forwards the feature maps from each layer to the next layer within the backbone. This process produces diverse refinements for different categories within a single image. With fewer trainable parameters, Rein efficiently fine-tunes VFMs for DGSS tasks, surprisingly surpassing full parameter fine-tuning. Extensive experiments across various settings demonstrate that Rein significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods. Remarkably, with just an extra 1% of trainable parameters within the frozen backbone, Rein achieves a mIoU of 78.4% on the Cityscapes, without accessing any real urban-scene datasets.Code is available at https://github.com/w1oves/Rein.git.

ViT-Calibrator: Decision Stream Calibration for Vision Transformer

A surge of interest has emerged in utilizing Transformers in diverse vision tasks owing to its formidable performance. However, existing approaches primarily focus on optimizing internal model architecture designs that often entail significant trial and error with high burdens. In this work, we propose a new paradigm dubbed Decision Stream Calibration that boosts the performance of general Vision Transformers. To achieve this, we shed light on the information propagation mechanism in the learning procedure by exploring the correlation between different tokens and the relevance coefficient of multiple dimensions. Upon further analysis, it was discovered that 1) the final decision is associated with tokens of foreground targets, while token features of foreground target will be transmitted into the next layer as much as possible, and the useless token features of background area will be eliminated gradually in the forward propagation. 2) Each category is solely associated with specific sparse dimensions in the tokens. Based on the discoveries mentioned above, we designed a two-stage calibration scheme, namely ViT-Calibrator, including token propagation calibration stage and dimension propagation calibration stage. Extensive experiments on commonly used datasets show that the proposed approach can achieve promising results. The source codes are given in the supplements.

Flow of Spans: Generalizing Language Models to Dynamic Span-Vocabulary via GFlowNets

Standard autoregressive language models generate text token-by-token from a fixed vocabulary, inducing a tree-structured state space when viewing token sampling as an action, which limits flexibility and expressiveness. Recent work introduces dynamic vocabulary by sampling retrieved text spans but overlooks that the same sentence can be composed of spans of varying lengths, lacking explicit modeling of the directed acyclic graph (DAG) state space. This leads to restricted exploration of compositional paths and is biased toward the chosen path. Generative Flow Networks (GFlowNets) are powerful for efficient exploring and generalizing over state spaces, particularly those with a DAG structure. However, prior GFlowNets-based language models operate at the token level and remain confined to tree-structured spaces, limiting their potential. In this work, we propose Flow of SpanS (FOSS), a principled GFlowNets framework for span generation. FoSS constructs a dynamic span vocabulary by segmenting the retrieved text flexibly, ensuring a DAG-structured state space, which allows GFlowNets to explore diverse compositional paths and improve generalization. With specialized reward models, FoSS generates diverse, high-quality text. Empirically, FoSS improves MAUVE scores by up to 12.5% over Transformer on text generation and achieves 3.5% gains on knowledge-intensive tasks, consistently outperforming state-of-the-art methods. Scaling experiments further demonstrate FoSS benefits from larger models, more data, and richer retrieval corpora, retaining its advantage over strong baselines.

DynFOA: Generating First-Order Ambisonics with Conditional Diffusion for Dynamic and Acoustically Complex 360-Degree Videos

Spatial audio is crucial for immersive 360-degree video experiences, yet most 360-degree videos lack it due to the difficulty of capturing spatial audio during recording. Automatically generating spatial audio such as first-order ambisonics (FOA) from video therefore remains an important but challenging problem. In complex scenes, sound perception depends not only on sound source locations but also on scene geometry, materials, and dynamic interactions with the environment. However, existing approaches only rely on visual cues and fail to model dynamic sources and acoustic effects such as occlusion, reflections, and reverberation. To address these challenges, we propose DynFOA, a generative framework that synthesizes FOA from 360-degree videos by integrating dynamic scene reconstruction with conditional diffusion modeling. DynFOA analyzes the input video to detect and localize dynamic sound sources, estimate depth and semantics, and reconstruct scene geometry and materials using 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). The reconstructed scene representation provides physically grounded features that capture acoustic interactions between sources, environment, and listener viewpoint. Conditioned on these features, a diffusion model generates spatial audio consistent with the scene dynamics and acoustic context. We introduce M2G-360, a dataset of 600 real-world clips divided into MoveSources, Multi-Source, and Geometry subsets for evaluating robustness under diverse conditions. Experiments show that DynFOA consistently outperforms existing methods in spatial accuracy, acoustic fidelity, distribution matching, and perceived immersive experience.

Intrinsic Mutual Information as a Modulator for Preference Optimization

Offline preference optimization methods, such as Direct Preference Optimization (DPO), offer significant advantages in aligning Large Language Models (LLMs) with human values. However, achieving optimal performance with these methods typically involves additional hyperparameter tuning, resulting in substantial time overhead. Although prior work has proposed a range of improvements, these methods remain limited in effectiveness and have not fully eliminated reliance on hyperparameter tuning. In this work, we propose RMiPO, a lightweight and efficient framework for offline preference optimization. RMiPO leverages intrinsic Response-level Mutual information for Preference Optimization with hyperparameter modulation, dynamically decoupling preference contributions at negligible additional computational cost. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that RMiPO achieves consistently superior performance over existing methods while reducing training overhead by more than 15\%. Seeing Inside the Storm: Improving Nowcasting by Integrating Meteorological Drivers

Most nowcasting systems, built on radar reflectivity, focus on current precipitation, ignoring the atmospheric precursors -- such as low-level convergence, turbulent eddies, and latent heating -- that offer a fleeting window to foresee storm birth. We introduce MeteoLogist, a physics-inspired radar intelligence framework that models the full life cycle of convection -- from its precursors to organized storm evolution. However, exploiting these precursors is non-trivial: they originate from multiple meteorological drivers -- thermodynamic, kinematic, and microphysical -- that evolve asynchronously (C1) and remain spatially fragmented (C2). To this end, MeteoLogist designs three tightly integrated components. The Physics-Tailored Encoders process radar echoes according to their intrinsic physical scales and semantics, forming thermodynamic, kinematic, and microphysical streams that capture distinct dynamical regimes. The Temporal-Phase Aligner addresses C1 by leveraging causal temporal attention to capture when and how different drivers interact and activate. The Cross-Field Spatial Aggregator addresses C2 through cross-regional fusion, aligning weak and scattered precursors across neighboring cells to expose upstream triggers and enforce spatial coherence. Evaluated on 3D-NEXRAD (2020--2022, US-wide), MeteoLogist boosts high-impact detection (CSI40) by +9.7% over strong baselines, and achieves a remarkable 37.67% gain during the storm-developing stage -- demonstrating true foresight in sensing storms before they appear. It's an Alignment, Not a Trade-off: Revisiting Bias and Variance in Deep Models

Classical wisdom in machine learning holds that the generalization error can be decomposed into bias and variance, and these two terms exhibit a \emph{trade-off}. However, in this paper, we show that for an ensemble of deep learning based classification models, bias and variance are \emph{aligned} at a sample level, where squared bias is approximately \emph{equal} to variance for correctly classified sample points. We present empirical evidence confirming this phenomenon in a variety of deep learning models and datasets. Moreover, we study this phenomenon from two theoretical perspectives: calibration and neural collapse. We first show theoretically that under the assumption that the models are well calibrated, we can observe the bias-variance alignment. Second, starting from the picture provided by the neural collapse theory, we show an approximate correlation between bias and variance.

HalluAudio: Hallucinating Frequency as Concepts for Few-Shot Audio Classification

Few-shot audio classification is an emerging topic that attracts more and more attention from the research community. Most existing work ignores the specificity of the form of the audio spectrogram and focuses largely on the embedding space borrowed from image tasks, while in this work, we aim to take advantage of this special audio format and propose a new method by hallucinating high-frequency and low-frequency parts as structured concepts. Extensive experiments on ESC-50 and our curated balanced Kaggle18 dataset show the proposed method outperforms the baseline by a notable margin. The way that our method hallucinates high-frequency and low-frequency parts also enables its interpretability and opens up new potentials for the few-shot audio classification.

ACC: Compiling Agent Trajectories for Long-Context Training

Recent development of agents has renewed demand for long-context reasoning capacity of LLMs. However, training LLMs for this capacity requires costly long-document curation or heuristic context synthesis. We observe that agents produce massive trajectories when solving problems, invoking tools and receiving environment observations across many turns. The evidence needed to answer the original question is thus scattered throughout these turns, requiring integration of distant context segments. Nevertheless, standard agent SFT masks tool responses and only trains turn-level tool selection, creating a supervision blind spot where these scattered signals go unused. We propose Agent Context Compilation (ACC), which converts trajectories from search, software engineering, and database querying agents into long-context QA pairs that combine the original question with tool responses and environment observations gathered across multiple turns, training the model to answer directly without tool use. This makes the dependencies between the question and the evidence explicit, enabling direct supervision of long-context reasoning over distant segments without additional annotation. ACC is a simple but effective approach that can be combined with any existing long-context extension or training method, providing scalable supervised fine-tuning data. We validate ACC on long-range dependency modeling tasks through MRCR and GraphWalks, challenging benchmarks requiring cross-turn coreference resolution and graph traversal over extended contexts. Training Qwen3-30B-A3B with ACC achieves 68.3 on MRCR (+18.1) and 77.5 on GraphWalks (+7.6), results comparable to Qwen3-235B-A22B, while preserving general capabilities on GPQA, MMLU-Pro, AIME, and IFEval. Further mechanism analysis reveals that the ACC-trained model exhibits task-adaptive attention restructuring and expert specialization.

SkillFlow:Benchmarking Lifelong Skill Discovery and Evolution for Autonomous Agents

As the capability frontier of autonomous agents continues to expand, they are increasingly able to complete specialized tasks through plug-and-play external skills. Yet current benchmarks mostly test whether models can use provided skills, leaving open whether they can discover skills from experience, repair them after failure, and maintain a coherent library over time. We introduce SkillFlow, a benchmark of 166 tasks across 20 families in which task construction within each family follows a Domain-Agnostic Execution Flow (DAEF) that defines an agent workflow framework, allowing these tasks to share a consistent workflow. Agents are evaluated under an Agentic Lifelong Learning protocol in which they begin without skills, solve tasks sequentially within each family, externalize lessons through trajectory- and rubric-driven skill patches, and carry the updated library forward. Experiments reveal a substantial capability gap. For Claude Opus 4.6, lifelong skill evolution improves task success from 62.65% to 71.08% (+8.43 points). However, high skill usage does not necessarily imply high utility: Kimi K2.5 gains only +0.60 points despite 66.87% skill usage, while Qwen-Coder-Next reaches only a 44.58% task completion rate and still regresses relative to the vanilla setting. SkillFlow contributes a structured testbed for this direction and an in-depth empirical analysis of skill discovery, patching, transfer, and their failure modes under lifelong evaluation.
