Continuous wavelet transform of multiview images using wavelets based on voxel patternsVladimir Saveljev
We propose the multiview wavelets based on voxel patterns of autostereoscopic multiview displays. Direct and inverse continuous wavelet transforms of binary and gray-scale images were performed. The input to the inverse wavelet transform was the array of wavelet coefficients of the direct transform. A restored image reproduces the structure of the multiview image correctly. Also, we modified the dimension of the parallax and the depth of 3D images. The restored and modified images were displayed in 3D using lenticular plates. In each case, the visual 3D picture corresponds to the applied modifications. The results can be applied to the autostereoscopic 3D displays.

Measurement of amplitude of the moiré patterns in digital autostereoscopic 3D displayVladimir Saveljev, Sung-Kyu Kim
The article presents the experimental measurements of the amplitude of the moiré patterns in a digital autostereoscopic barrier-type 3D display across a wide angular range with a small increment. The period and orientation of the moiré patterns were also measured as functions of the angle. Simultaneous branches are observed and analyzed. The theoretical interpretation is also given. The results can help preventing or minimizing the moiré effect in displays.

Theory and computer simulation of the moiré patterns in single-layer cylindrical particlesVladimir Saveljev, Irina Palchikova
Basing on the theory for arbitrary oriented surfaces, we developed the theory of the moiré effect for cylindrical single-layer objects in the paraxial approximation. With using the dual grids, the moiré effect in the plane gratings is simulated, as well as the near-axis moiré effect in cylinders including the chiral layouts. The results can be applied to the graphene layers, to single-walled nanotubes, and to cylinders in general.

Wavelets and continuous wavelet transform for autostereoscopic multiview imagesVladimir Saveljev
Recently, the reference functions for the synthesis and analysis of the autostereoscopic multiview and integral images in three-dimensional displays we introduced. In the current paper, we propose the wavelets to analyze such images. The wavelets are built on the reference functions as on the scaling functions of the wavelet analysis. The continuous wavelet transform was successfully applied to the testing wireframe binary objects. The restored locations correspond to the structure of the testing wireframe binary objects.
