DeepTokenEEG Enhancing Mild Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimers Classification via Tokenized EEG FeaturesThinh Nguyen-Quang, Minh Long Ngo, Ngoc-Son Nguyen et al.
The detection of Alzheimers disease (AD) is considered crucial, as timely intervention can improve patient outcomes. Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based diagnosis has been recognized as a non-invasive, accessible, and cost-effective approach for AD detection; however, it faces challenges related to data availability, accuracy of modern deep learning methods, and the time-consuming nature of expert-based interpretation. In this study, a novel lightweight and high-performance model, DeepTokenEEG, was designed for the diagnosis of AD and the classification of EEG signals from AD patients, individuals with other neurological conditions, and healthy subjects. Unlike traditional heavy-weight models, DeepTokenEEG ultilizes spatial and temporal tokenizer that effectively captures AD-related biomarkers in both temporal and frequency domain with only 0.29 million paramaters. Trained in a combined dataset of 274 subjects, including 180 AD cases, and 94 healthy controls, the proposed method achieves a maximum recorded accuracy of 100% on specific frequency bands, representing an improvement of 1.41-15.35% over state-of-the-art methods on the same dataset. These results indicate the potential of DeepTokenEEG for early detection and screening of AD, with promising applicability for deployment due to its compact size.

DiFlowDubber: Discrete Flow Matching for Automated Video Dubbing via Cross-Modal Alignment and SynchronizationNgoc-Son Nguyen, Thanh V. T. Tran, Jeongsoo Choi et al.
Video dubbing has broad applications in filmmaking, multimedia creation, and assistive speech technology. Existing approaches either train directly on limited dubbing datasets or adopt a two-stage pipeline that adapts pre-trained text-to-speech (TTS) models, which often struggle to produce expressive prosody, rich acoustic characteristics, and precise synchronization. To address these issues, we propose DiFlowDubber with a novel two-stage training framework that effectively transfers knowledge from a pre-trained TTS model to video-driven dubbing, with a discrete flow matching generative backbone. Specifically, we design a FaPro module that captures global prosody and stylistic cues from facial expressions and leverages this information to guide the modeling of subsequent speech attributes. To ensure precise speech-lip synchronization, we introduce a Synchronizer module that bridges the modality gap among text, video, and speech, thereby improving cross-modal alignment and generating speech that is temporally synchronized with lip movements. Experiments on two primary benchmark datasets demonstrate that DiFlowDubber outperforms previous methods across multiple metrics.

Precise Video-to-Audio Generation with Cross-Modal Alignment in Latent SpaceThanh V. T. Tran, Ngoc-Son Nguyen, Luong Tran et al.
Video-to-audio (V2A) generation aims to synthesize realistic audio that is both semantically consistent with and temporally synchronized to a silent video. Despite recent progress, many methods still rely on multi-stage training, resulting in high computational costs and long runtimes, or transform visual input into text to leverage pretrained text-to-audio models, sacrificing fine-grained temporal cues. To overcome these limitations, we propose Flowley, an end-to-end, single-stage training architecture that produces soundtracks by combining visual features with textual prompts. Crucially, we introduce Progressive Soft-masked Cross-Attention, which embeds audio-visual synchronization directly within its attention mechanism, adding zero additional computational cost compared to standard attention layers. We further observe that existing V2A benchmarks lack sound-oriented descriptive captions, which can potentially degrade the quality of the synthesized audio. To remedy this, we propose SoundCap, a plug-and-play pipeline for creating detailed, sound-aware captions that guide the model. Remarkably, without integrating any pretrained audio-visual alignment modules, Flowley achieves state-of-the-art performance on VGGSound across multiple metrics. Moreover, by incorporating SoundCap, we further exceed the performance of the strongest existing close-sourced methods in terms of audio quality in the zero-shot setting.

DuFal: Dual-Frequency-Aware Learning for High-Fidelity Extremely Sparse-view CBCT ReconstructionCuong Tran Van, Trong-Thang Pham, Ngoc-Son Nguyen et al.
Sparse-view Cone-Beam Computed Tomography reconstruction from limited X-ray projections remains a challenging problem in medical imaging due to the inherent undersampling of fine-grained anatomical details, which correspond to high-frequency components. Conventional CNN-based methods often struggle to recover these fine structures, as they are typically biased toward learning low-frequency information. To address this challenge, this paper presents DuFal (Dual-Frequency-Aware Learning), a novel framework that integrates frequency-domain and spatial-domain processing via a dual-path architecture. The core innovation lies in our High-Local Factorized Fourier Neural Operator, which comprises two complementary branches: a Global High-Frequency Enhanced Fourier Neural Operator that captures global frequency patterns and a Local High-Frequency Enhanced Fourier Neural Operator that processes spatially partitioned patches to preserve spatial locality that might be lost in global frequency analysis. To improve efficiency, we design a Spectral-Channel Factorization scheme that reduces the Fourier Neural Operator parameter count. We also design a Cross-Attention Frequency Fusion module to integrate spatial and frequency features effectively. The fused features are then decoded through a Feature Decoder to produce projection representations, which are subsequently processed through an Intensity Field Decoding pipeline to reconstruct a final Computed Tomography volume. Experimental results on the LUNA16 and ToothFairy datasets demonstrate that DuFal significantly outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods in preserving high-frequency anatomical features, particularly under extremely sparse-view settings.
