Towards Blind Watermarking: Combining Invertible and Non-invertible MechanismsRui Ma, Mengxi Guo, Yi Hou et al.
Blind watermarking provides powerful evidence for copyright protection, image authentication, and tampering identification. However, it remains a challenge to design a watermarking model with high imperceptibility and robustness against strong noise attacks. To resolve this issue, we present a framework Combining the Invertible and Non-invertible (CIN) mechanisms. The CIN is composed of the invertible part to achieve high imperceptibility and the non-invertible part to strengthen the robustness against strong noise attacks. For the invertible part, we develop a diffusion and extraction module (DEM) and a fusion and split module (FSM) to embed and extract watermarks symmetrically in an invertible way. For the non-invertible part, we introduce a non-invertible attention-based module (NIAM) and the noise-specific selection module (NSM) to solve the asymmetric extraction under a strong noise attack. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our framework outperforms the current state-of-the-art methods of imperceptibility and robustness significantly. Our framework can achieve an average of 99.99% accuracy and 67.66 dB PSNR under noise-free conditions, while 96.64% and 39.28 dB combined strong noise attacks. Forgetting to Remember: A Scalable Incremental Learning Framework for Cross-Task Blind Image Quality AssessmentRui Ma, Qingbo Wu, King Ngi Ngan et al.
Recent years have witnessed the great success of blind image quality assessment (BIQA) in various task-specific scenarios, which present invariable distortion types and evaluation criteria. However, due to the rigid structure and learning framework, they cannot apply to the cross-task BIQA scenario, where the distortion types and evaluation criteria keep changing in practical applications. This paper proposes a scalable incremental learning framework (SILF) that could sequentially conduct BIQA across multiple evaluation tasks with limited memory capacity. More specifically, we develop a dynamic parameter isolation strategy to sequentially update the task-specific parameter subsets, which are non-overlapped with each other. Each parameter subset is temporarily settled to Remember one evaluation preference toward its corresponding task, and the previously settled parameter subsets can be adaptively reused in the following BIQA to achieve better performance based on the task relevance. To suppress the unrestrained expansion of memory capacity in sequential tasks learning, we develop a scalable memory unit by gradually and selectively pruning unimportant neurons from previously settled parameter subsets, which enable us to Forget part of previous experiences and free the limited memory capacity for adapting to the emerging new tasks. Extensive experiments on eleven IQA datasets demonstrate that our proposed method significantly outperforms the other state-of-the-art methods in cross-task BIQA. MXM-CLR: A Unified Framework for Contrastive Learning of Multifold Cross-Modal RepresentationsYe Wang, Bowei Jiang, Changqing Zou et al.
Multifold observations are common for different data modalities, e.g., a 3D shape can be represented by multi-view images and an image can be described with different captions. Existing cross-modal contrastive representation learning (XM-CLR) methods such as CLIP are not fully suitable for multifold data as they only consider one positive pair and treat other pairs as negative when computing the contrastive loss. In this paper, we propose MXM-CLR, a unified framework for contrastive learning of multifold cross-modal representations. MXM-CLR explicitly models and learns the relationships between multifold observations of instances from different modalities for more comprehensive representation learning. The key of MXM-CLR is a novel multifold-aware hybrid loss which considers multiple positive observations when computing the hard and soft relationships for the cross-modal data pairs. We conduct quantitative and qualitative comparisons with SOTA baselines for cross-modal retrieval tasks on the Text2Shape and Flickr30K datasets. We also perform extensive evaluations on the adaptability and generalizability of MXM-CLR, as well as ablation studies on the loss design and effects of batch sizes. Domain Knowledge-Infused Deep Learning for Automated Analog/Radio-Frequency Circuit Parameter OptimizationWeidong Cao, Mouhacine Benosman, Xuan Zhang et al. · tsinghua
The design automation of analog circuits is a longstanding challenge. This paper presents a reinforcement learning method enhanced by graph learning to automate the analog circuit parameter optimization at the pre-layout stage, i.e., finding device parameters to fulfill desired circuit specifications. Unlike all prior methods, our approach is inspired by human experts who rely on domain knowledge of analog circuit design (e.g., circuit topology and couplings between circuit specifications) to tackle the problem. By originally incorporating such key domain knowledge into policy training with a multimodal network, the method best learns the complex relations between circuit parameters and design targets, enabling optimal decisions in the optimization process. Experimental results on exemplary circuits show it achieves human-level design accuracy (99%) 1.5X efficiency of existing best-performing methods. Our method also shows better generalization ability to unseen specifications and optimality in circuit performance optimization. Moreover, it applies to design radio-frequency circuits on emerging semiconductor technologies, breaking the limitations of prior learning methods in designing conventional analog circuits.

ELIC: Efficient Learned Image Compression with Unevenly Grouped Space-Channel Contextual Adaptive CodingDailan He, Ziming Yang, Weikun Peng et al.
Recently, learned image compression techniques have achieved remarkable performance, even surpassing the best manually designed lossy image coders. They are promising to be large-scale adopted. For the sake of practicality, a thorough investigation of the architecture design of learned image compression, regarding both compression performance and running speed, is essential. In this paper, we first propose uneven channel-conditional adaptive coding, motivated by the observation of energy compaction in learned image compression. Combining the proposed uneven grouping model with existing context models, we obtain a spatial-channel contextual adaptive model to improve the coding performance without damage to running speed. Then we study the structure of the main transform and propose an efficient model, ELIC, to achieve state-of-the-art speed and compression ability. With superior performance, the proposed model also supports extremely fast preview decoding and progressive decoding, which makes the coming application of learning-based image compression more promising.

FD-CAM: Improving Faithfulness and Discriminability of Visual Explanation for CNNsHui Li, Zihao Li, Rui Ma et al.
Class activation map (CAM) has been widely studied for visual explanation of the internal working mechanism of convolutional neural networks. The key of existing CAM-based methods is to compute effective weights to combine activation maps in the target convolution layer. Existing gradient and score based weighting schemes have shown superiority in ensuring either the discriminability or faithfulness of the CAM, but they normally cannot excel in both properties. In this paper, we propose a novel CAM weighting scheme, named FD-CAM, to improve both the faithfulness and discriminability of the CAM-based CNN visual explanation. First, we improve the faithfulness and discriminability of the score-based weights by performing a grouped channel switching operation. Specifically, for each channel, we compute its similarity group and switch the group of channels on or off simultaneously to compute changes in the class prediction score as the weights. Then, we combine the improved score-based weights with the conventional gradient-based weights so that the discriminability of the final CAM can be further improved. We perform extensive comparisons with the state-of-the-art CAM algorithms. The quantitative and qualitative results show our FD-CAM can produce more faithful and more discriminative visual explanations of the CNNs. We also conduct experiments to verify the effectiveness of the proposed grouped channel switching and weight combination scheme on improving the results. Results of the Big ANN: NeurIPS'23 competitionHarsha Vardhan Simhadri, Martin Aumüller, Amir Ingber et al.
The 2023 Big ANN Challenge, held at NeurIPS 2023, focused on advancing the state-of-the-art in indexing data structures and search algorithms for practical variants of Approximate Nearest Neighbor (ANN) search that reflect the growing complexity and diversity of workloads. Unlike prior challenges that emphasized scaling up classical ANN search ~\cite{DBLP:conf/nips/SimhadriWADBBCH21}, this competition addressed filtered search, out-of-distribution data, sparse and streaming variants of ANNS. Participants developed and submitted innovative solutions that were evaluated on new standard datasets with constrained computational resources. The results showcased significant improvements in search accuracy and efficiency over industry-standard baselines, with notable contributions from both academic and industrial teams. This paper summarizes the competition tracks, datasets, evaluation metrics, and the innovative approaches of the top-performing submissions, providing insights into the current advancements and future directions in the field of approximate nearest neighbor search.

MiMo-Audio: Audio Language Models are Few-Shot LearnersXiaomi LLM-Core Team, Dong Zhang, Gang Wang et al.
Existing audio language models typically rely on task-specific fine-tuning to accomplish particular audio tasks. In contrast, humans are able to generalize to new audio tasks with only a few examples or simple instructions. GPT-3 has shown that scaling next-token prediction pretraining enables strong generalization capabilities in text, and we believe this paradigm is equally applicable to the audio domain. By scaling MiMo-Audio's pretraining data to over one hundred million of hours, we observe the emergence of few-shot learning capabilities across a diverse set of audio tasks. We develop a systematic evaluation of these capabilities and find that MiMo-Audio-7B-Base achieves SOTA performance on both speech intelligence and audio understanding benchmarks among open-source models. Beyond standard metrics, MiMo-Audio-7B-Base generalizes to tasks absent from its training data, such as voice conversion, style transfer, and speech editing. MiMo-Audio-7B-Base also demonstrates powerful speech continuation capabilities, capable of generating highly realistic talk shows, recitations, livestreaming and debates. At the post-training stage, we curate a diverse instruction-tuning corpus and introduce thinking mechanisms into both audio understanding and generation. MiMo-Audio-7B-Instruct achieves open-source SOTA on audio understanding benchmarks (MMSU, MMAU, MMAR, MMAU-Pro), spoken dialogue benchmarks (Big Bench Audio, MultiChallenge Audio) and instruct-TTS evaluations, approaching or surpassing closed-source models. Shape-Aware Fine-Grained Classification of Erythroid CellsYe Wang, Rui Ma, Xiaoqing Ma et al.
Fine-grained classification and counting of bone marrow erythroid cells are vital for evaluating the health status and formulating therapeutic schedules for leukemia or hematopathy. Due to the subtle visual differences between different types of erythroid cells, it is challenging to apply existing image-based deep learning models for fine-grained erythroid cell classification. Moreover, there is no large open-source datasets on erythroid cells to support the model training. In this paper, we introduce BMEC (Bone Morrow Erythroid Cells), the first large fine-grained image dataset of erythroid cells, to facilitate more deep learning research on erythroid cells. BMEC contains 5,666 images of individual erythroid cells, each of which is extracted from the bone marrow erythroid cell smears and professionally annotated to one of the four types of erythroid cells. To distinguish the erythroid cells, one key indicator is the cell shape which is closely related to the cell growth and maturation. Therefore, we design a novel shape-aware image classification network for fine-grained erythroid cell classification. The shape feature is extracted from the shape mask image and aggregated to the raw image feature with a shape attention module. With the shape-attended image feature, our network achieved superior classification performance (81.12\% top-1 accuracy) on the BMEC dataset comparing to the baseline methods. Ablation studies also demonstrate the effectiveness of incorporating the shape information for the fine-grained cell classification. To further verify the generalizability of our method, we tested our network on two additional public white blood cells (WBC) datasets and the results show our shape-aware method can generally outperform recent state-of-the-art works on classifying the WBC. TeleCom-Bench: How Far Are Large Language Models from Industrial Telecommunication Applications?Jieting Xiao, Yun Lin, Huizhen Qiu et al.
While Large Language Models have achieved remarkable integration in various vertical scenarios, their deployment in the telecommunications domain remains exploratory due to the lack of a standardized evaluation framework. Current telecom benchmarks primarily focus on static, foundational knowledge and isolated atomic skills, neglecting the equipment-specific documentation and end-to-end industrial workflows essential for real-world production systems. To bridge this gap, we present TeleCom-Bench, a comprehensive benchmark comprising 12 evaluation sets with 22,678 curated samples, which evaluates LLMs across a synergistic hierarchy: (1) Multi-dimensional Knowledge Comprehension, which integrates telecommunication fundamentals, 3GPP protocols, and 5G network architecture with proprietary product knowledge across wired, core, and wireless networks via knowledge graph-driven synthesis; and (2)End-to-End Knowledge Application, which formalizes six core tasks on authentic trajectories from live network agent workflows, including intent recognition, entity extraction, event verification, tool invocation, root cause analysis, and solution generation-across network optimization and fault maintenance scenarios. Evaluations of eight state-of-the-art LLMs reveal a universal Execution Wall: while models achieve 90% accuracy in linguistic interface tasks such as intent recognition and entity extraction, performance collapses to approximately 30% in procedural execution tasks like solution generation. This capability gap demonstrates that current LLMs function competently as diagnosticians but fail as field engineers. TeleCom-Bench provides standardized diagnostics to precisely pinpoint this deficit, offering actionable guidance for domain-specific alignment toward production-ready telecom agents. P3DC-Shot: Prior-Driven Discrete Data Calibration for Nearest-Neighbor Few-Shot ClassificationShuangmei Wang, Rui Ma, Tieru Wu et al.
Nearest-Neighbor (NN) classification has been proven as a simple and effective approach for few-shot learning. The query data can be classified efficiently by finding the nearest support class based on features extracted by pretrained deep models. However, NN-based methods are sensitive to the data distribution and may produce false prediction if the samples in the support set happen to lie around the distribution boundary of different classes. To solve this issue, we present P3DC-Shot, an improved nearest-neighbor based few-shot classification method empowered by prior-driven data calibration. Inspired by the distribution calibration technique which utilizes the distribution or statistics of the base classes to calibrate the data for few-shot tasks, we propose a novel discrete data calibration operation which is more suitable for NN-based few-shot classification. Specifically, we treat the prototypes representing each base class as priors and calibrate each support data based on its similarity to different base prototypes. Then, we perform NN classification using these discretely calibrated support data. Results from extensive experiments on various datasets show our efficient non-learning based method can outperform or at least comparable to SOTA methods which need additional learning steps.

FPGA-based AI Smart NICs for Scalable Distributed AI Training SystemsRui Ma, Evangelos Georganas, Alexander Heinecke et al.
Rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology have led to significant accuracy improvements in a myriad of application domains at the cost of larger and more compute-intensive models. Training such models on massive amounts of data typically requires scaling to many compute nodes and relies heavily on collective communication algorithms, such as all-reduce, to exchange the weight gradients between different nodes. The overhead of these collective communication operations in a distributed AI training system can bottleneck its performance, with more pronounced effects as the number of nodes increases. In this paper, we first characterize the all-reduce operation overhead by profiling distributed AI training. Then, we propose a new smart network interface card (NIC) for distributed AI training systems using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) to accelerate all-reduce operations and optimize network bandwidth utilization via data compression. The AI smart NIC frees up the system's compute resources to perform the more compute-intensive tensor operations and increases the overall node-to-node communication efficiency. We perform real measurements on a prototype distributed AI training system comprised of 6 compute nodes to evaluate the performance gains of our proposed FPGA-based AI smart NIC compared to a baseline system with regular NICs. We also use these measurements to validate an analytical model that we formulate to predict performance when scaling to larger systems. Our proposed FPGA-based AI smart NIC enhances overall training performance by 1.6x at 6 nodes, with an estimated 2.5x performance improvement at 32 nodes, compared to the baseline system using conventional NICs.

Physics-Aware 3D Gaussian Editing for Driving Scene GenerationFeng Zhou, Jian Zhang, Yuhang Sun et al.
3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has shown great potential in autonomous driving simulation and data generation, enabling photorealistic reconstruction and flexible scene manipulation. However, existing 3DGS scene editing methods have limited support for road geometry editing (e.g., inserting speed humps or sunken roads), and generally do not couple such edits with plausible vehicle-road interaction dynamics. Such editing is essential for generating training data under extreme driving scenarios or evaluating system reliability under these road irregularities. Moreover, many optimization-based methods require minutes of per-edit refinement, while existing efficient alternatives mainly focus on appearance-level or object-level manipulation rather than physics-aware road irregularity editing. To address these limitations, we propose RoVES, a Road-and-Vehicle Editing System for physics-aware 3D Gaussian editing in driving scenes. RoVES enables single-image-driven road geometry insertion and couples the edited road profile with a 4-DOF half-car vehicle dynamics model to achieve physics-aware vehicle pose correction in vertical displacement and pitch. RoVES inserts road elements in a one-shot, optimization-free pipeline (1.84s), and the full pipeline (including color transfer and vehicle-dynamics-based pose correction) completes in 6.24s; it edits dynamic vehicles via pose editing and corrects poses frame-by-frame to approximate dynamics-consistent vertical displacement and pitch responses. Experiments on the Waymo dataset show that RoVES provides practical efficiency and competitive visual consistency for physics-aware driving scene generation.

Act While Thinking: Accelerating LLM Agents via Pattern-Aware Speculative Tool ExecutionYifan Sui, Han Zhao, Rui Ma et al.
LLM-powered agents are emerging as a dominant paradigm for autonomous task solving. Unlike standard inference workloads, agents operate in a strictly serial "LLM-tool" loop, where the LLM must wait for external tool execution at every step. This execution model introduces severe latency bottlenecks. To address this problem, we propose PASTE, a Pattern-Aware Speculative Tool Execution method designed to hide tool latency through speculation. PASTE is based on the insight that although agent requests are semantically diverse, they exhibit stable application level control flows (recurring tool-call sequences) and predictable data dependencies (parameter passing between tools). By exploiting these properties, PASTE improves agent serving performance through speculative tool execution. Experimental results against state of the art baselines show that PASTE reduces average task completion time by 48.5% and improves tool execution throughput by 1.8x.

Dynamic Deployment of Mobile Charging Trucks During Natural Disaster Evacuation: An Offline-to-Online FrameworkRui Ma, Zilin Bian, Kaan Ozbay
During large-scale evacuations, concentrated electric vehicle (EV) charging demand can overload fixed charging stations (FCSs), leading to prolonged waiting time and increased risk exposure. To address this challenge, this study proposes dynamically deploying mobile charging trucks (MCTs) to complement FCSs, and develops an Adaptive Risk-aware MCT Deployment (ARMD) framework for real-time operation. It divides the MCT deployment into two problems: risk-aware allocation of MCTs among FCSs and dynamic routing of MCTs to the assigned FCSs, and solves them under an offline-to-online paradigm. The resource allocation problem is formulated as a decentralized partially observable Markov decision process, and a multi-agent proximal policy optimization (MAPPO)-based policy is developed to coordinate multiple MCTs under decentralized observations. The policy is pre-trained offline in an evacuation simulator and adaptively refined online according to current evacuation context. For routing, a spatio-temporal travel time predictor is developed to support rolling-horizon route updates. The proposed framework is evaluated in a simulated hurricane evacuation environment built using real-world data from Hillsborough County, Florida. Experiments show that ARMD consistently outperforms offline optimization, online heuristic dispatch, and rolling-horizon optimization in reducing risk exposure. For demand perturbation scenarios, ARMD reduces average risk exposure by up to 71.1%, relative to the baseline without MCTs. In the case of fixed e-vehicle charging infrastructure or road link failures, ARMD achieves 39.3% to 60.5% reduction in average risk exposure, with its advantages becoming more pronounced as the severity of disruption increases. These results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of ARMD in enhancing mobile charging operations for realistic scenarios of uncertain evacuation conditions.

ZenSVI: An Open-Source Software for the Integrated Acquisition, Processing and Analysis of Street View Imagery Towards Scalable Urban ScienceKoichi Ito, Yihan Zhu, Mahmoud Abdelrahman et al.
Street view imagery (SVI) has been instrumental in many studies in the past decade to understand and characterize street features and the built environment. Researchers across a variety of domains, such as transportation, health, architecture, human perception, and infrastructure have employed different methods to analyze SVI. However, these applications and image-processing procedures have not been standardized, and solutions have been implemented in isolation, often making it difficult for others to reproduce existing work and carry out new research. Using SVI for research requires multiple technical steps: accessing APIs for scalable data collection, preprocessing images to standardize formats, implementing computer vision models for feature extraction, and conducting spatial analysis. These technical requirements create barriers for researchers in urban studies, particularly those without extensive programming experience. We developed ZenSVI, a free and open-source Python package that integrates and implements the entire process of SVI analysis, supporting a wide range of use cases. Its end-to-end pipeline includes downloading SVI from multiple platforms (e.g., Mapillary and KartaView) efficiently, analyzing metadata of SVI, applying computer vision models to extract target features, transforming SVI into different projections (e.g., fish-eye and perspective) and different formats (e.g., depth map and point cloud), visualizing analyses with maps and plots, and exporting outputs to other software tools. We demonstrated its use in Singapore through a case study of data quality assessment and clustering analysis in a streamlined manner. Our software improves the transparency, reproducibility, and scalability of research relying on SVI and supports researchers in conducting urban analyses efficiently. Its modular design facilitates extensions of the package for new use cases.

Revisiting the Data Sampling in Multimodal Post-training from a Difficulty-Distinguish ViewJianyu Qi, Ding Zou, Wenrui Yan et al.
Recent advances in Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have spurred significant progress in Chain-of-Thought (CoT) reasoning. Building on the success of Deepseek-R1, researchers extended multimodal reasoning to post-training paradigms based on reinforcement learning (RL), focusing predominantly on mathematical datasets. However, existing post-training paradigms tend to neglect two critical aspects: (1) The lack of quantifiable difficulty metrics capable of strategically screening samples for post-training optimization. (2) Suboptimal post-training paradigms that fail to jointly optimize perception and reasoning capabilities. To address this gap, we propose two novel difficulty-aware sampling strategies: Progressive Image Semantic Masking (PISM) quantifies sample hardness through systematic image degradation, while Cross-Modality Attention Balance (CMAB) assesses cross-modal interaction complexity via attention distribution analysis. Leveraging these metrics, we design a hierarchical training framework that incorporates both GRPO-only and SFT+GRPO hybrid training paradigms, and evaluate them across six benchmark datasets. Experiments demonstrate consistent superiority of GRPO applied to difficulty-stratified samples compared to conventional SFT+GRPO pipelines, indicating that strategic data sampling can obviate the need for supervised fine-tuning while improving model accuracy. Understand and Accelerate Memory Processing Pipeline for Disaggregated LLM InferenceZifan He, Rui Ma, Yizhou Sun et al.
Modern large language models (LLMs) increasingly depends on efficient long-context processing and generation mechanisms, including sparse attention, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and compressed contextual memory, to support complex reasoning. We show that these optimizations can be unified into a four-step memory processing pipeline: Prepare Memory, Compute Relevancy, Retrieval, and Apply to Inference. Through systematic profiling, we identify a 22%-97% memory processing overhead in LLM inference and strong heterogeneity in its computational characteristics. Motivated by this insight, we argue that \textbf{heterogeneous systems} are well-suited to accelerate memory processing and thus end-to-end inference. We demonstrate this approach on a GPU-FPGA system by offloading sparse, irregular, and memory-bounded operations to FPGAs while retaining compute-intensive operations on GPUs. Evaluated on an AMD MI210 GPU and an Alveo U55C FPGA, our system is $1.04\sim2.2\times$ faster and requires $1.11\sim4.7\times$ less energy across multiple LLM inference optimizations than the GPU baseline (similar results hold on NVIDIA A100). These results establish heterogeneous systems as a practical direction for efficient LLM memory processing and inform future heterogeneous hardware design.

We open-source MiMo-VL-7B-SFT and MiMo-VL-7B-RL, two powerful vision-language models delivering state-of-the-art performance in both general visual understanding and multimodal reasoning. MiMo-VL-7B-RL outperforms Qwen2.5-VL-7B on 35 out of 40 evaluated tasks, and scores 59.4 on OlympiadBench, surpassing models with up to 78B parameters. For GUI grounding applications, it sets a new standard with 56.1 on OSWorld-G, even outperforming specialized models such as UI-TARS. Our training combines four-stage pre-training (2.4 trillion tokens) with Mixed On-policy Reinforcement Learning (MORL) integrating diverse reward signals. We identify the importance of incorporating high-quality reasoning data with long Chain-of-Thought into pre-training stages, and the benefits of mixed RL despite challenges in simultaneous multi-domain optimization. We also contribute a comprehensive evaluation suite covering 50+ tasks to promote reproducibility and advance the field. Breaking On-device Training Memory Wall: A Systematic SurveyShitian Li, Chunlin Tian, Kahou Tam et al.
On-device training has become an increasingly popular approach to machine learning, enabling models to be trained directly on mobile and edge devices. However, a major challenge in this area is the limited memory available on these devices, which can severely restrict the size and complexity of the models that can be trained. In this systematic survey, we aim to explore the current state-of-the-art techniques for breaking on-device training memory walls, focusing on methods that can enable larger and more complex models to be trained on resource-constrained devices. Specifically, we first analyze the key factors that contribute to the phenomenon of memory walls encountered during on-device training. Then, we present a comprehensive literature review of on-device training, which addresses the issue of memory limitations. Finally, we summarize on-device training and highlight the open problems for future research. By providing a comprehensive overview of these techniques and their effectiveness in breaking memory walls, we hope to help researchers and practitioners in this field navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of on-device training.

B-Spine: Learning B-Spline Curve Representation for Robust and Interpretable Spinal Curvature EstimationHao Wang, Qiang Song, Ruofeng Yin et al.
Spinal curvature estimation is important to the diagnosis and treatment of the scoliosis. Existing methods face several issues such as the need of expensive annotations on the vertebral landmarks and being sensitive to the image quality. It is challenging to achieve robust estimation and obtain interpretable results, especially for low-quality images which are blurry and hazy. In this paper, we propose B-Spine, a novel deep learning pipeline to learn B-spline curve representation of the spine and estimate the Cobb angles for spinal curvature estimation from low-quality X-ray images. Given a low-quality input, a novel SegRefine network which employs the unpaired image-to-image translation is proposed to generate a high quality spine mask from the initial segmentation result. Next, a novel mask-based B-spline prediction model is proposed to predict the B-spline curve for the spine centerline. Finally, the Cobb angles are estimated by a hybrid approach which combines the curve slope analysis and a curve-based regression model. We conduct quantitative and qualitative comparisons with the representative and SOTA learning-based methods on the public AASCE2019 dataset and our new proposed CJUH-JLU dataset which contains more challenging low-quality images. The superior performance on both datasets shows our method can achieve both robustness and interpretability for spinal curvature estimation.

ERTACache: Error Rectification and Timesteps Adjustment for Efficient DiffusionXurui Peng, Hong Liu, Chenqian Yan et al.
Diffusion models suffer from substantial computational overhead due to their inherently iterative inference process. While feature caching offers a promising acceleration strategy by reusing intermediate outputs across timesteps, naive reuse often incurs noticeable quality degradation. In this work, we formally analyze the cumulative error introduced by caching and decompose it into two principal components: feature shift error, caused by inaccuracies in cached outputs, and step amplification error, which arises from error propagation under fixed timestep schedules. To address these issues, we propose ERTACache, a principled caching framework that jointly rectifies both error types. Our method employs an offline residual profiling stage to identify reusable steps, dynamically adjusts integration intervals via a trajectory-aware correction coefficient, and analytically approximates cache-induced errors through a closed-form residual linearization model. Together, these components enable accurate and efficient sampling under aggressive cache reuse. Extensive experiments across standard image and video generation benchmarks show that ERTACache achieves up to 2x inference speedup while consistently preserving or even improving visual quality. Notably, on the state-of-the-art Wan2.1 video diffusion model, ERTACache delivers 2x acceleration with minimal VBench degradation, effectively maintaining baseline fidelity while significantly improving efficiency. One-Shot Learning for Pose-Guided Person Image Synthesis in the WildDongqi Fan, Tao Chen, Mingjie Wang et al.
Current Pose-Guided Person Image Synthesis (PGPIS) methods depend heavily on large amounts of labeled triplet data to train the generator in a supervised manner. However, they often falter when applied to in-the-wild samples, primarily due to the distribution gap between the training datasets and real-world test samples. While some researchers aim to enhance model generalizability through sophisticated training procedures, advanced architectures, or by creating more diverse datasets, we adopt the test-time fine-tuning paradigm to customize a pre-trained Text2Image (T2I) model. However, naively applying test-time tuning results in inconsistencies in facial identities and appearance attributes. To address this, we introduce a Visual Consistency Module (VCM), which enhances appearance consistency by combining the face, text, and image embedding. Our approach, named OnePoseTrans, requires only a single source image to generate high-quality pose transfer results, offering greater stability than state-of-the-art data-driven methods. For each test case, OnePoseTrans customizes a model in around 48 seconds with an NVIDIA V100 GPU.

A training-free framework for high-fidelity appearance transfer via diffusion transformersShengrong Gu, Ye Wang, Song Wu et al.
Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) excel at generation, but their global self-attention makes controllable, reference-image-based editing a distinct challenge. Unlike U-Nets, naively injecting local appearance into a DiT can disrupt its holistic scene structure. We address this by proposing the first training-free framework specifically designed to tame DiTs for high-fidelity appearance transfer. Our core is a synergistic system that disentangles structure and appearance. We leverage high-fidelity inversion to establish a rich content prior for the source image, capturing its lighting and micro-textures. A novel attention-sharing mechanism then dynamically fuses purified appearance features from a reference, guided by geometric priors. Our unified approach operates at 1024px and outperforms specialized methods on tasks ranging from semantic attribute transfer to fine-grained material application. Extensive experiments confirm our state-of-the-art performance in both structural preservation and appearance fidelity.

ViRC: Enhancing Visual Interleaved Mathematical CoT with Reason ChunkingLihong Wang, Liangqi Li, Weiwei Feng et al.
CoT has significantly enhanced the reasoning ability of LLMs while it faces challenges when extended to multimodal domains, particularly in mathematical tasks. Existing MLLMs typically perform textual reasoning solely from a single static mathematical image, overlooking dynamic visual acquisition during reasoning. In contrast, humans repeatedly examine visual image and employ step-by-step reasoning to prove intermediate propositions. This strategy of decomposing the problem-solving process into key logical nodes adheres to Miller's Law in cognitive science. Inspired by this insight, we propose a ViRC framework for multimodal mathematical tasks, introducing a Reason Chunking mechanism that structures multimodal mathematical CoT into consecutive Critical Reasoning Units (CRUs) to simulate human expert problem-solving patterns. CRUs ensure intra-unit textual coherence for intermediate proposition verification while integrating visual information across units to generate subsequent propositions and support structured reasoning. To this end, we present CRUX dataset by using three visual tools and four reasoning patterns to provide explicitly annotated CRUs across multiple reasoning paths for each mathematical problem. Leveraging the CRUX dataset, we propose a progressive training strategy inspired by human cognitive learning, which includes Instructional SFT, Practice SFT, and Strategic RL, aimed at further strengthening the Reason Chunking ability of the model. The resulting ViRC-7B model achieves a 18.8% average improvement over baselines across multiple mathematical benchmarks. Code is available at https://github.com/Leon-LihongWang/ViRC.

SnapFlow: One-Step Action Generation for Flow-Matching VLAs via Progressive Self-DistillationWuyang Luan, Junhui Li, Weiguang Zhao et al.
Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models based on flow matching -- such as pi0, pi0.5, and SmolVLA -- achieve state-of-the-art generalist robotic manipulation, yet their iterative denoising, typically 10 ODE steps, introduces substantial latency: on a modern GPU, denoising alone accounts for 80% of end-to-end inference time. Naively reducing the step count is unreliable, degrading success on most tasks due to the velocity field being uncalibrated for single-step jumps. We present SnapFlow, a plug-and-play self-distillation method that compresses multi-step denoising into a single forward pass (1-NFE) for flow-matching VLAs. SnapFlow mixes standard flow-matching samples with consistency samples whose targets are two-step Euler shortcut velocities computed from the model's own marginal velocity predictions, avoiding the trajectory drift caused by conditional velocities, as we analyze theoretically. A zero-initialized target-time embedding lets the network switch between local velocity estimation and global one-step generation within a single architecture. SnapFlow requires no external teacher, no architecture changes, and trains in ~12h on a single GPU. We validate on two VLA architectures spanning a 6x parameter range, with identical hyperparameters: on pi0.5 (3B) across four LIBERO suites (40 tasks, 400 episodes), SnapFlow achieves 98.75% average success -- matching the 10-step teacher at 97.75% and slightly exceeding it -- with 9.6x denoising speedup and end-to-end latency reduced from 274ms to 83ms; on SmolVLA (500M), it reduces MSE by 8.3% with 3.56x end-to-end acceleration. An action-step sweep on long-horizon tasks reveals that SnapFlow maintains its advantage across execution horizons, achieving 93% at n_act=5 where the baseline reaches only 90%. SnapFlow is orthogonal to layer-distillation and token-pruning approaches, enabling compositional speedups.

P2M2-Net: Part-Aware Prompt-Guided Multimodal Point Cloud CompletionLinlian Jiang, Pan Chen, Ye Wang et al.
Inferring missing regions from severely occluded point clouds is highly challenging. Especially for 3D shapes with rich geometry and structure details, inherent ambiguities of the unknown parts are existing. Existing approaches either learn a one-to-one mapping in a supervised manner or train a generative model to synthesize the missing points for the completion of 3D point cloud shapes. These methods, however, lack the controllability for the completion process and the results are either deterministic or exhibiting uncontrolled diversity. Inspired by the prompt-driven data generation and editing, we propose a novel prompt-guided point cloud completion framework, coined P2M2-Net, to enable more controllable and more diverse shape completion. Given an input partial point cloud and a text prompt describing the part-aware information such as semantics and structure of the missing region, our Transformer-based completion network can efficiently fuse the multimodal features and generate diverse results following the prompt guidance. We train the P2M2-Net on a new large-scale PartNet-Prompt dataset and conduct extensive experiments on two challenging shape completion benchmarks. Quantitative and qualitative results show the efficacy of incorporating prompts for more controllable part-aware point cloud completion and generation. Phase-SLAM: Phase Based Simultaneous Localization and Mapping for Mobile Structured Light Illumination SystemsXi Zheng, Rui Ma, Rui Gao et al.
Structured Light Illumination (SLI) systems have been used for reliable indoor dense 3D scanning via phase triangulation. However, mobile SLI systems for 360 degree 3D reconstruction demand 3D point cloud registration, involving high computational complexity. In this paper, we propose a phase based Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (Phase-SLAM) framework for fast and accurate SLI sensor pose estimation and 3D object reconstruction. The novelty of this work is threefold: (1) developing a reprojection model from 3D points to 2D phase data towards phase registration with low computational complexity; (2) developing a local optimizer to achieve SLI sensor pose estimation (odometry) using the derived Jacobian matrix for the 6 DoF variables; (3) developing a compressive phase comparison method to achieve high-efficiency loop closure detection. The whole Phase-SLAM pipeline is then exploited using existing global pose graph optimization techniques. We build datasets from both the unreal simulation platform and a robotic arm based SLI system in real-world to verify the proposed approach. The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed Phase-SLAM outperforms other state-of-the-art methods in terms of the efficiency and accuracy of pose estimation and 3D reconstruction. LUT-LLM: Efficient Large Language Model Inference with Memory-based Computations on FPGAsZifan He, Shengyu Ye, Rui Ma et al.
The rapid progress of large language models (LLMs) has advanced numerous applications, yet efficient single-batch inference remains vital for on-device intelligence. While FPGAs offer fine-grained data control and high energy efficiency, recent GPU optimizations have narrowed their advantage, especially under arithmetic-based computation. To overcome this, we leverage FPGAs' abundant on-chip memory to shift LLM inference from arithmetic- to memory-based computation through table lookups. We present LUT-LLM, the first FPGA accelerator enabling 1B+ LLM inference via vector-quantized memory operations. Our analysis identifies activation-weight co-quantization as the most effective scheme, supported by (1) bandwidth-aware parallel centroid search, (2) efficient 2D table lookups, and (3) a spatial-temporal hybrid design minimizing data caching. Implemented on an AMD V80 FPGA for a customized Qwen 3 1.7B model, LUT-LLM achieves 1.66x lower latency than AMD MI210 and 1.72x higher energy efficiency than NVIDIA A100, scaling to 32B models with 2.16x efficiency gain over A100.

Boosting the Generalization and Reasoning of Vision Language Models with Curriculum Reinforcement LearningHuilin Deng, Ding Zou, Rui Ma et al.
While state-of-the-art vision-language models (VLMs) have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in complex visual-text tasks, their success heavily relies on massive model scaling, limiting their practical deployment. Small-scale VLMs offer a more practical alternative but face significant challenges when trained with traditional supervised fine-tuning (SFT), particularly in two aspects: out-of-domain (OOD) generalization and reasoning abilities, which significantly lags behind the contemporary Large language models (LLMs). To address these challenges, we propose Curriculum Reinforcement Finetuning (Curr-ReFT), a novel post-training paradigm specifically designed for small-scale VLMs. Inspired by the success of reinforcement learning in LLMs, Curr-ReFT comprises two sequential stages: (1) Curriculum Reinforcement Learning, which ensures steady progression of model capabilities through difficulty-aware reward design, transitioning from basic visual perception to complex reasoning tasks; and (2) Rejected Sampling-based Self-improvement, which maintains the fundamental capabilities of VLMs through selective learning from high-quality multimodal and language examples. Extensive experiments demonstrate that models trained with Curr-ReFT paradigm achieve state-of-the-art performance across various visual tasks in both in-domain and out-of-domain settings. Moreover, our Curr-ReFT enhanced 3B model matches the performance of 32B-parameter models, demonstrating that efficient training paradigms can effectively bridge the gap between small and large models.

LUMINA: LLM-Guided GPU Architecture Exploration via Bottleneck AnalysisTao Zhang, Rui Ma, Shuotao Xu et al.
GPU design space exploration (DSE) for modern AI workloads, such as Large-Language Model (LLM) inference, is challenging because of GPUs' vast, multi-modal design spaces, high simulation costs, and complex design optimization objectives (e.g. performance, power and area trade-offs). Existing automated DSE methods are often prohibitively expensive, either requiring an excessive number of exploration samples or depending on intricate, manually crafted analyses of interdependent critical paths guided by human heuristics. We present LUMINA, an LLM-driven GPU architecture exploration framework that leverage AI to enhance the DSE efficiency and efficacy for GPUs. LUMINA extracts architectural knowledge from simulator code and performs sensitivity studies to automatically compose DSE rules,which are auto-corrected during exploration. A core component of LUMINA is a DSE Benchmark that comprehensively evaluates and enhances LLMs' capabilities across three fundamental skills required for architecture optimization, which provides a principled and reproducible basis for model selection and ensuring consistent architectural reasoning. In the design space with 4.7 million possible samples, LUMINA identifies 6 designs of better performance and area than an A100 GPU efficiently, using only 20 steps via LLM-assisted bottleneck analysis. In comparison, LUMINA achieves 17.5x higher than design space exploration efficiency, and 32.9% better designs (i.e. Pareto Hypervolume) than Machine-Learning baselines, showcasing its ability to deliver high-quality design guidance with minimal search cost.

PhysCodeBench: Benchmarking Physics-Aware Symbolic Simulation of 3D Scenes via Self-Corrective Multi-Agent RefinementTianyidan Xie, Peiyu Wang, Yuyi Qian et al.
Physics-aware symbolic simulation of 3D scenes is critical for robotics, embodied AI, and scientific computing, requiring models to understand natural language descriptions of physical phenomena and translate them into executable simulation environments. While large language models (LLMs) excel at general code generation, they struggle with the semantic gap between physical descriptions and simulation implementation. We introduce PhysCodeBench, the first comprehensive benchmark for evaluating physics-aware symbolic simulation, comprising 700 manually-crafted diverse samples across mechanics, fluid dynamics, and soft-body physics with expert annotations. Our evaluation framework measures both code executability and physical accuracy through automated and visual assessment. Building on this, we propose a Self-Corrective Multi-Agent Refinement Framework (SMRF) with three specialized agents (simulation generator, error corrector, and simulation refiner) that collaborate iteratively with domain-specific validation to produce physically accurate simulations. SMRF achieves 67.7 points overall performance compared to 36.3 points for the best baseline among evaluated SOTA models, representing a 31.4-point improvement. Our analysis demonstrates that error correction is critical for accurate physics-aware symbolic simulation and that specialized multi-agent approaches significantly outperform single-agent methods across the tested physical domains.

Diff3DS: Generating View-Consistent 3D Sketch via Differentiable Curve RenderingYibo Zhang, Lihong Wang, Changqing Zou et al.
3D sketches are widely used for visually representing the 3D shape and structure of objects or scenes. However, the creation of 3D sketch often requires users to possess professional artistic skills. Existing research efforts primarily focus on enhancing the ability of interactive sketch generation in 3D virtual systems. In this work, we propose Diff3DS, a novel differentiable rendering framework for generating view-consistent 3D sketch by optimizing 3D parametric curves under various supervisions. Specifically, we perform perspective projection to render the 3D rational Bézier curves into 2D curves, which are subsequently converted to a 2D raster image via our customized differentiable rasterizer. Our framework bridges the domains of 3D sketch and raster image, achieving end-toend optimization of 3D sketch through gradients computed in the 2D image domain. Our Diff3DS can enable a series of novel 3D sketch generation tasks, including textto-3D sketch and image-to-3D sketch, supported by the popular distillation-based supervision, such as Score Distillation Sampling (SDS). EPSD: Early Pruning with Self-Distillation for Efficient Model CompressionDong Chen, Ning Liu, Yichen Zhu et al.
Neural network compression techniques, such as knowledge distillation (KD) and network pruning, have received increasing attention. Recent work `Prune, then Distill' reveals that a pruned student-friendly teacher network can benefit the performance of KD. However, the conventional teacher-student pipeline, which entails cumbersome pre-training of the teacher and complicated compression steps, makes pruning with KD less efficient. In addition to compressing models, recent compression techniques also emphasize the aspect of efficiency. Early pruning demands significantly less computational cost in comparison to the conventional pruning methods as it does not require a large pre-trained model. Likewise, a special case of KD, known as self-distillation (SD), is more efficient since it requires no pre-training or student-teacher pair selection. This inspires us to collaborate early pruning with SD for efficient model compression. In this work, we propose the framework named Early Pruning with Self-Distillation (EPSD), which identifies and preserves distillable weights in early pruning for a given SD task. EPSD efficiently combines early pruning and self-distillation in a two-step process, maintaining the pruned network's trainability for compression. Instead of a simple combination of pruning and SD, EPSD enables the pruned network to favor SD by keeping more distillable weights before training to ensure better distillation of the pruned network. We demonstrated that EPSD improves the training of pruned networks, supported by visual and quantitative analyses. Our evaluation covered diverse benchmarks (CIFAR-10/100, Tiny-ImageNet, full ImageNet, CUB-200-2011, and Pascal VOC), with EPSD outperforming advanced pruning and SD techniques.

A Dataset and Benchmark for Copyright Infringement Unlearning from Text-to-Image Diffusion ModelsRui Ma, Qiang Zhou, Yizhu Jin et al.
Copyright law confers upon creators the exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, and monetize their creative works. However, recent progress in text-to-image generation has introduced formidable challenges to copyright enforcement. These technologies enable the unauthorized learning and replication of copyrighted content, artistic creations, and likenesses, leading to the proliferation of unregulated content. Notably, models like stable diffusion, which excel in text-to-image synthesis, heighten the risk of copyright infringement and unauthorized distribution.Machine unlearning, which seeks to eradicate the influence of specific data or concepts from machine learning models, emerges as a promising solution by eliminating the \enquote{copyright memories} ingrained in diffusion models. Yet, the absence of comprehensive large-scale datasets and standardized benchmarks for evaluating the efficacy of unlearning techniques in the copyright protection scenarios impedes the development of more effective unlearning methods. To address this gap, we introduce a novel pipeline that harmonizes CLIP, ChatGPT, and diffusion models to curate a dataset. This dataset encompasses anchor images, associated prompts, and images synthesized by text-to-image models. Additionally, we have developed a mixed metric based on semantic and style information, validated through both human and artist assessments, to gauge the effectiveness of unlearning approaches. Anywhere: A Multi-Agent Framework for User-Guided, Reliable, and Diverse Foreground-Conditioned Image GenerationTianyidan Xie, Rui Ma, Qian Wang et al.
Recent advancements in image-conditioned image generation have demonstrated substantial progress. However, foreground-conditioned image generation remains underexplored, encountering challenges such as compromised object integrity, foreground-background inconsistencies, limited diversity, and reduced control flexibility. These challenges arise from current end-to-end inpainting models, which suffer from inaccurate training masks, limited foreground semantic understanding, data distribution biases, and inherent interference between visual and textual prompts. To overcome these limitations, we present Anywhere, a multi-agent framework that departs from the traditional end-to-end approach. In this framework, each agent is specialized in a distinct aspect, such as foreground understanding, diversity enhancement, object integrity protection, and textual prompt consistency. Our framework is further enhanced with the ability to incorporate optional user textual inputs, perform automated quality assessments, and initiate re-generation as needed. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that this modular design effectively overcomes the limitations of existing end-to-end models, resulting in higher fidelity, quality, diversity and controllability in foreground-conditioned image generation. Additionally, the Anywhere framework is extensible, allowing it to benefit from future advancements in each individual agent.

Rethinking Discrete Tokens: Treating Them as Conditions for Continuous Autoregressive Image SynthesisPeng Zheng, Junke Wang, Yi Chang et al.
Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have spurred interests in encoding images as discrete tokens and leveraging autoregressive (AR) frameworks for visual generation. However, the quantization process in AR-based visual generation models inherently introduces information loss that degrades image fidelity. To mitigate this limitation, recent studies have explored to autoregressively predict continuous tokens. Unlike discrete tokens that reside in a structured and bounded space, continuous representations exist in an unbounded, high-dimensional space, making density estimation more challenging and increasing the risk of generating out-of-distribution artifacts. Based on the above findings, this work introduces DisCon (Discrete-Conditioned Continuous Autoregressive Model), a novel framework that reinterprets discrete tokens as conditional signals rather than generation targets. By modeling the conditional probability of continuous representations conditioned on discrete tokens, DisCon circumvents the optimization challenges of continuous token modeling while avoiding the information loss caused by quantization. DisCon achieves a gFID score of 1.38 on ImageNet 256$\times$256 generation, outperforming state-of-the-art autoregressive approaches by a clear margin. FreeScene: Mixed Graph Diffusion for 3D Scene Synthesis from Free PromptsTongyuan Bai, Wangyuanfan Bai, Dong Chen et al.
Controllability plays a crucial role in the practical applications of 3D indoor scene synthesis. Existing works either allow rough language-based control, that is convenient but lacks fine-grained scene customization, or employ graph based control, which offers better controllability but demands considerable knowledge for the cumbersome graph design process. To address these challenges, we present FreeScene, a user-friendly framework that enables both convenient and effective control for indoor scene synthesis.Specifically, FreeScene supports free-form user inputs including text description and/or reference images, allowing users to express versatile design intentions. The user inputs are adequately analyzed and integrated into a graph representation by a VLM-based Graph Designer. We then propose MG-DiT, a Mixed Graph Diffusion Transformer, which performs graph-aware denoising to enhance scene generation. Our MG-DiT not only excels at preserving graph structure but also offers broad applicability to various tasks, including, but not limited to, text-to-scene, graph-to-scene, and rearrangement, all within a single model. Extensive experiments demonstrate that FreeScene provides an efficient and user-friendly solution that unifies text-based and graph based scene synthesis, outperforming state-of-the-art methods in terms of both generation quality and controllability in a range of applications.

OmniStyle: Filtering High Quality Style Transfer Data at ScaleYe Wang, Ruiqi Liu, Jiang Lin et al.
In this paper, we introduce OmniStyle-1M, a large-scale paired style transfer dataset comprising over one million content-style-stylized image triplets across 1,000 diverse style categories, each enhanced with textual descriptions and instruction prompts. We show that OmniStyle-1M can not only enable efficient and scalable of style transfer models through supervised training but also facilitate precise control over target stylization. Especially, to ensure the quality of the dataset, we introduce OmniFilter, a comprehensive style transfer quality assessment framework, which filters high-quality triplets based on content preservation, style consistency, and aesthetic appeal. Building upon this foundation, we propose OmniStyle, a framework based on the Diffusion Transformer (DiT) architecture designed for high-quality and efficient style transfer. This framework supports both instruction-guided and image-guided style transfer, generating high resolution outputs with exceptional detail. Extensive qualitative and quantitative evaluations demonstrate OmniStyle's superior performance compared to existing approaches, highlighting its efficiency and versatility. OmniStyle-1M and its accompanying methodologies provide a significant contribution to advancing high-quality style transfer, offering a valuable resource for the research community.

DecoupledGaussian: Object-Scene Decoupling for Physics-Based InteractionMiaowei Wang, Yibo Zhang, Rui Ma et al.
We present DecoupledGaussian, a novel system that decouples static objects from their contacted surfaces captured in-the-wild videos, a key prerequisite for realistic Newtonian-based physical simulations. Unlike prior methods focused on synthetic data or elastic jittering along the contact surface, which prevent objects from fully detaching or moving independently, DecoupledGaussian allows for significant positional changes without being constrained by the initial contacted surface. Recognizing the limitations of current 2D inpainting tools for restoring 3D locations, our approach proposes joint Poisson fields to repair and expand the Gaussians of both objects and contacted scenes after separation. This is complemented by a multi-carve strategy to refine the object's geometry. Our system enables realistic simulations of decoupling motions, collisions, and fractures driven by user-specified impulses, supporting complex interactions within and across multiple scenes. We validate DecoupledGaussian through a comprehensive user study and quantitative benchmarks. This system enhances digital interaction with objects and scenes in real-world environments, benefiting industries such as VR, robotics, and autonomous driving. 3D-SSGAN: Lifting 2D Semantics for 3D-Aware Compositional Portrait SynthesisRuiqi Liu, Peng Zheng, Ye Wang et al.
Existing 3D-aware portrait synthesis methods can generate impressive high-quality images while preserving strong 3D consistency. However, most of them cannot support the fine-grained part-level control over synthesized images. Conversely, some GAN-based 2D portrait synthesis methods can achieve clear disentanglement of facial regions, but they cannot preserve view consistency due to a lack of 3D modeling abilities. To address these issues, we propose 3D-SSGAN, a novel framework for 3D-aware compositional portrait image synthesis. First, a simple yet effective depth-guided 2D-to-3D lifting module maps the generated 2D part features and semantics to 3D. Then, a volume renderer with a novel 3D-aware semantic mask renderer is utilized to produce the composed face features and corresponding masks. The whole framework is trained end-to-end by discriminating between real and synthesized 2D images and their semantic masks. Quantitative and qualitative evaluations demonstrate the superiority of 3D-SSGAN in controllable part-level synthesis while preserving 3D view consistency.

TexVerse: A Universe of 3D Objects with High-Resolution TexturesYibo Zhang, Li Zhang, Rui Ma et al.
We introduce TexVerse, a large-scale 3D dataset featuring high-resolution textures. While recent advances in large-scale 3D datasets have enhanced high-resolution geometry generation, creating high-resolution textures end-to-end remains underexplored due to the lack of suitable datasets. TexVerse fills this gap with a curated collection of over 858K unique high-resolution 3D models sourced from Sketchfab, including more than 158K models with physically based rendering (PBR) materials. Each model encompasses all of its high-resolution variants, bringing the total to 1.6M 3D instances. TexVerse also includes specialized subsets: TexVerse-Skeleton, with 69K rigged models, and TexVerse-Animation, with 54K animated models, both preserving original skeleton and animation data uploaded by the user. We also provide detailed model annotations describing overall characteristics, structural components, and intricate features. TexVerse offers a high-quality data resource with wide-ranging potential applications in texture synthesis, PBR material development, animation, and various 3D vision and graphics tasks.

SemanticHuman-HD: High-Resolution Semantic Disentangled 3D Human GenerationPeng Zheng, Tao Liu, Zili Yi et al.
With the development of neural radiance fields and generative models, numerous methods have been proposed for learning 3D human generation from 2D images. These methods allow control over the pose of the generated 3D human and enable rendering from different viewpoints. However, none of these methods explore semantic disentanglement in human image synthesis, i.e., they can not disentangle the generation of different semantic parts, such as the body, tops, and bottoms. Furthermore, existing methods are limited to synthesize images at $512^2$ resolution due to the high computational cost of neural radiance fields. To address these limitations, we introduce SemanticHuman-HD, the first method to achieve semantic disentangled human image synthesis. Notably, SemanticHuman-HD is also the first method to achieve 3D-aware image synthesis at $1024^2$ resolution, benefiting from our proposed 3D-aware super-resolution module. By leveraging the depth maps and semantic masks as guidance for the 3D-aware super-resolution, we significantly reduce the number of sampling points during volume rendering, thereby reducing the computational cost. Our comparative experiments demonstrate the superiority of our method. The effectiveness of each proposed component is also verified through ablation studies. Moreover, our method opens up exciting possibilities for various applications, including 3D garment generation, semantic-aware image synthesis, controllable image synthesis, and out-of-domain image synthesis.

SuperNeRF-GAN: A Universal 3D-Consistent Super-Resolution Framework for Efficient and Enhanced 3D-Aware Image SynthesisPeng Zheng, Linzhi Huang, Yizhou Yu et al.
Neural volume rendering techniques, such as NeRF, have revolutionized 3D-aware image synthesis by enabling the generation of images of a single scene or object from various camera poses. However, the high computational cost of NeRF presents challenges for synthesizing high-resolution (HR) images. Most existing methods address this issue by leveraging 2D super-resolution, which compromise 3D-consistency. Other methods propose radiance manifolds or two-stage generation to achieve 3D-consistent HR synthesis, yet they are limited to specific synthesis tasks, reducing their universality. To tackle these challenges, we propose SuperNeRF-GAN, a universal framework for 3D-consistent super-resolution. A key highlight of SuperNeRF-GAN is its seamless integration with NeRF-based 3D-aware image synthesis methods and it can simultaneously enhance the resolution of generated images while preserving 3D-consistency and reducing computational cost. Specifically, given a pre-trained generator capable of producing a NeRF representation such as tri-plane, we first perform volume rendering to obtain a low-resolution image with corresponding depth and normal map. Then, we employ a NeRF Super-Resolution module which learns a network to obtain a high-resolution NeRF. Next, we propose a novel Depth-Guided Rendering process which contains three simple yet effective steps, including the construction of a boundary-correct multi-depth map through depth aggregation, a normal-guided depth super-resolution and a depth-guided NeRF rendering. Experimental results demonstrate the superior efficiency, 3D-consistency, and quality of our approach. Additionally, ablation studies confirm the effectiveness of our proposed components.

D-Aug: Enhancing Data Augmentation for Dynamic LiDAR ScenesJiaxing Zhao, Peng Zheng, Rui Ma
Creating large LiDAR datasets with pixel-level labeling poses significant challenges. While numerous data augmentation methods have been developed to reduce the reliance on manual labeling, these methods predominantly focus on static scenes and they overlook the importance of data augmentation for dynamic scenes, which is critical for autonomous driving. To address this issue, we propose D-Aug, a LiDAR data augmentation method tailored for augmenting dynamic scenes. D-Aug extracts objects and inserts them into dynamic scenes, considering the continuity of these objects across consecutive frames. For seamless insertion into dynamic scenes, we propose a reference-guided method that involves dynamic collision detection and rotation alignment. Additionally, we present a pixel-level road identification strategy to efficiently determine suitable insertion positions. We validated our method using the nuScenes dataset with various 3D detection and tracking methods. Comparative experiments demonstrate the superiority of D-Aug.

Rectified Schrödinger Bridge Matching for Few-Step Visual NavigationWuyang Luan, Junhui Li, Weiguang Zhao et al.
Visual navigation is a core challenge in Embodied AI, requiring autonomous agents to translate high-dimensional sensory observations into continuous, long-horizon action trajectories. While generative policies based on diffusion models and Schrödinger Bridges (SB) effectively capture multimodal action distributions, they require dozens of integration steps due to high-variance stochastic transport, posing a critical barrier for real-time robotic control. We propose Rectified Schrödinger Bridge Matching (RSBM), a framework that exploits a shared velocity-field structure between standard Schrödinger Bridges ($\varepsilon=1$, maximum-entropy transport) and deterministic Optimal Transport ($\varepsilon\to 0$, as in Conditional Flow Matching), controlled by a single entropic regularization parameter $\varepsilon$. We prove two key results: (1) the conditional velocity field's functional form is invariant across the entire $\varepsilon$-spectrum (Velocity Structure Invariance), enabling a single network to serve all regularization strengths; and (2) reducing $\varepsilon$ linearly decreases the conditional velocity variance, enabling more stable coarse-step ODE integration. Anchored to a learned conditional prior that shortens transport distance, RSBM operates at an intermediate $\varepsilon$ that balances multimodal coverage and path straightness. Empirically, while standard bridges require $\geq 10$ steps to converge, RSBM achieves over 94% cosine similarity and 92% success rate in merely 3 integration steps -- without distillation or multi-stage training -- substantially narrowing the gap between high-fidelity generative policies and the low-latency demands of Embodied AI.

FreeLoRA: Enabling Training-Free LoRA Fusion for Autoregressive Multi-Subject PersonalizationPeng Zheng, Ye Wang, Rui Ma et al.
Subject-driven image generation plays a crucial role in applications such as virtual try-on and poster design. Existing approaches typically fine-tune pretrained generative models or apply LoRA-based adaptations for individual subjects. However, these methods struggle with multi-subject personalization, as combining independently adapted modules often requires complex re-tuning or joint optimization. We present FreeLoRA, a simple and generalizable framework that enables training-free fusion of subject-specific LoRA modules for multi-subject personalization. Each LoRA module is adapted on a few images of a specific subject using a Full Token Tuning strategy, where it is applied across all tokens in the prompt to encourage weakly supervised token-content alignment. At inference, we adopt Subject-Aware Inference, activating each module only on its corresponding subject tokens. This enables training-free fusion of multiple personalized subjects within a single image, while mitigating overfitting and mutual interference between subjects. Extensive experiments show that FreeLoRA achieves strong performance in both subject fidelity and prompt consistency.

PGAHum: Prior-Guided Geometry and Appearance Learning for High-Fidelity Animatable Human ReconstructionHao Wang, Qingshan Xu, Hongyuan Chen et al.
Recent techniques on implicit geometry representation learning and neural rendering have shown promising results for 3D clothed human reconstruction from sparse video inputs. However, it is still challenging to reconstruct detailed surface geometry and even more difficult to synthesize photorealistic novel views with animated human poses. In this work, we introduce PGAHum, a prior-guided geometry and appearance learning framework for high-fidelity animatable human reconstruction. We thoroughly exploit 3D human priors in three key modules of PGAHum to achieve high-quality geometry reconstruction with intricate details and photorealistic view synthesis on unseen poses. First, a prior-based implicit geometry representation of 3D human, which contains a delta SDF predicted by a tri-plane network and a base SDF derived from the prior SMPL model, is proposed to model the surface details and the body shape in a disentangled manner. Second, we introduce a novel prior-guided sampling strategy that fully leverages the prior information of the human pose and body to sample the query points within or near the body surface. By avoiding unnecessary learning in the empty 3D space, the neural rendering can recover more appearance details. Last, we propose a novel iterative backward deformation strategy to progressively find the correspondence for the query point in observation space. A skinning weights prediction model is learned based on the prior provided by the SMPL model to achieve the iterative backward LBS deformation. Extensive quantitative and qualitative comparisons on various datasets are conducted and the results demonstrate the superiority of our framework. Ablation studies also verify the effectiveness of each scheme for geometry and appearance learning.

When Fusion Helps and When It Breaks: View-Aligned Robustness in Same-Source Financial ImagingRui Ma
We study same-source multi-view learning and adversarial robustness for next-day direction prediction with financial image representations. On Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) spot gold data (2005-2025), we construct two window-aligned views from each rolling window: an OHLCV-rendered price/volume chart and a technical-indicator matrix. To ensure reliable evaluation, we adopt leakage-resistant time-block splits with embargo and use Matthews correlation coefficient (MCC). We find that results depend strongly on the label-noise regime: we apply an ex-post minimum-movement filter that discards samples with realized next-day absolute return below tau to define evaluation subsets with reduced near-zero label ambiguity. This induces a non-monotonic data-noise trade-off that can reveal predictive signal but eventually increases variance as sample size shrinks; the filter is used for offline benchmark construction rather than an inference-time decision rule. In the stabilized subsets, fusion is regime dependent: early fusion by channel stacking can exhibit negative transfer, whereas late fusion with dual encoders and a fusion head provides the dominant clean-performance gains; cross-view consistency regularization has secondary, backbone-dependent effects. We further evaluate test-time L-infinity perturbations using FGSM and PGD under two threat scenarios: view-constrained attacks that perturb one view and joint attacks that perturb both. We observe severe vulnerability at tiny budgets with strong view asymmetry. Late fusion consistently improves robustness under view-constrained attacks, but joint attacks remain challenging and can still cause substantial worst-case degradation.

PointMAC: Meta-Learned Adaptation for Robust Test-Time Point Cloud CompletionLinlian Jiang, Rui Ma, Li Gu et al.
Point cloud completion is essential for robust 3D perception in safety-critical applications such as robotics and augmented reality. However, existing models perform static inference and rely heavily on inductive biases learned during training, limiting their ability to adapt to novel structural patterns and sensor-induced distortions at test time. To address this limitation, we propose PointMAC, a meta-learned framework for robust test-time adaptation in point cloud completion. It enables sample-specific refinement without requiring additional supervision. Our method optimizes the completion model under two self-supervised auxiliary objectives that simulate structural and sensor-level incompleteness. A meta-auxiliary learning strategy based on Model-Agnostic Meta-Learning (MAML) ensures that adaptation driven by auxiliary objectives is consistently aligned with the primary completion task. During inference, we adapt the shared encoder on-the-fly by optimizing auxiliary losses, with the decoder kept fixed. To further stabilize adaptation, we introduce Adaptive $λ$-Calibration, a meta-learned mechanism for balancing gradients between primary and auxiliary objectives. Extensive experiments on synthetic, simulated, and real-world datasets demonstrate that PointMAC achieves state-of-the-art results by refining each sample individually to produce high-quality completions. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work to apply meta-auxiliary test-time adaptation to point cloud completion.
