PM-Nav: Priori-Map Guided Embodied Navigation in Functional BuildingsJiang Gao, Xiangyu Dong, Haozhou Li et al.
Existing language-driven embodied navigation paradigms face challenges in functional buildings (FBs) with highly similar features, as they lack the ability to effectively utilize priori spatial knowledge. To tackle this issue, we propose a Priori-Map Guided Embodied Navigation (PM-Nav), wherein environmental maps are transformed into navigation-friendly semantic priori-maps, a hierarchical chain-of-thought prompt template with an annotation priori-map is designed to enable precise path planning, and a multi-model collaborative action output mechanism is built to accomplish positioning decisions and execution control for navigation planning. Comprehensive tests using a home-made FB dataset show that the PM-Nav obtains average improvements of 511\% and 1175\%, and 650\% and 400\% over the SG-Nav and the InstructNav in simulation and real-world, respectively. These tremendous boosts elucidate the great potential of using the PM-Nav as a backbone navigation framework for FBs.

Building a Chinese Medical Dialogue System: Integrating Large-scale Corpora and Novel ModelsXinyuan Wang, Haozhou Li, Dingfang Zheng et al.
The global COVID-19 pandemic underscored major deficiencies in traditional healthcare systems, hastening the advancement of online medical services, especially in medical triage and consultation. However, existing studies face two main challenges. First, the scarcity of large-scale, publicly available, domain-specific medical datasets due to privacy concerns, with current datasets being small and limited to a few diseases, limiting the effectiveness of triage methods based on Pre-trained Language Models (PLMs). Second, existing methods lack medical knowledge and struggle to accurately understand professional terms and expressions in patient-doctor consultations. To overcome these obstacles, we construct the Large-scale Chinese Medical Dialogue Corpora (LCMDC), thereby addressing the data shortage in this field. Moreover, we further propose a novel triage system that combines BERT-based supervised learning with prompt learning, as well as a GPT-based medical consultation model. To enhance domain knowledge acquisition, we pre-trained PLMs using our self-constructed background corpus. Experimental results on the LCMDC demonstrate the efficacy of our proposed systems.

SE-VLN: A Self-Evolving Vision-Language Navigation Framework Based on Multimodal Large Language ModelsXiangyu Dong, Haoran Zhao, Jiang Gao et al.
Recent advances in vision-language navigation (VLN) were mainly attributed to emerging large language models (LLMs). These methods exhibited excellent generalization capabilities in instruction understanding and task reasoning. However, they were constrained by the fixed knowledge bases and reasoning abilities of LLMs, preventing fully incorporating experiential knowledge and thus resulting in a lack of efficient evolutionary capacity. To address this, we drew inspiration from the evolution capabilities of natural agents, and proposed a self-evolving VLN framework (SE-VLN) to endow VLN agents with the ability to continuously evolve during testing. To the best of our knowledge, it was the first time that an multimodal LLM-powered self-evolving VLN framework was proposed. Specifically, SE-VLN comprised three core modules, i.e., a hierarchical memory module to transfer successful and failure cases into reusable knowledge, a retrieval-augmented thought-based reasoning module to retrieve experience and enable multi-step decision-making, and a reflection module to realize continual evolution. Comprehensive tests illustrated that the SE-VLN achieved navigation success rates of 57% and 35.2% in unseen environments, representing absolute performance improvements of 23.9% and 15.0% over current state-of-the-art methods on R2R and REVERSE datasets, respectively. Moreover, the SE-VLN showed performance improvement with increasing experience repository, elucidating its great potential as a self-evolving agent framework for VLN.

SubstationAI: Multimodal Large Model-Based Approaches for Analyzing Substation Equipment FaultsJinzhi Wang, Qinfeng Song, Lidong Qian et al.
The reliability of substation equipment is crucial to the stability of power systems, but traditional fault analysis methods heavily rely on manual expertise, limiting their effectiveness in handling complex and large-scale data. This paper proposes a substation equipment fault analysis method based on a multimodal large language model (MLLM). We developed a database containing 40,000 entries, including images, defect labels, and analysis reports, and used an image-to-video generation model for data augmentation. Detailed fault analysis reports were generated using GPT-4. Based on this database, we developed SubstationAI, the first model dedicated to substation fault analysis, and designed a fault diagnosis knowledge base along with knowledge enhancement methods. Experimental results show that SubstationAI significantly outperforms existing models, such as GPT-4, across various evaluation metrics, demonstrating higher accuracy and practicality in fault cause analysis, repair suggestions, and preventive measures, providing a more advanced solution for substation equipment fault analysis.

CMMR-VLN: Vision-and-Language Navigation via Continual Multimodal Memory RetrievalHaozhou Li, Xiangyu Dong, Huiyan Jiang et al.
Although large language models (LLMs) are introduced into vision-and-language navigation (VLN) to improve instruction comprehension and generalization, existing LLM- based VLN lacks the ability to selectively recall and use relevant priori experiences to help navigation tasks, limiting their performance in long-horizon and unfamiliar scenarios. In this work, we propose CMMR-VLN (Continual Multimodal Memory Retrieval based VLN), a VLN framework that endows LLM agents with structured memory and reflection capabilities. Specifically, the CMMR-VLN constructs a multimodal experi- ence memory indexed by panoramic visual images and salient landmarks to retrieve relevant experiences during navigation, introduces a retrieved-augmented generation pipeline to mimick how experienced human navigators leverage priori knowledge, and incorporates a reflection-based memory update strategy that selectively stores complete successful paths and the key initial mistake in failure cases. Comprehensive tests illustrate average success rate improvements of 52.9%, 20.9% and 20.9%, and 200%, 50% and 50% over the NavGPT, the MapGPT, and the DiscussNav in simulation and real tests, respectively eluci- dating the great potential of the CMMR-VLN as a backbone VLN framework.

ElectriQ: A Benchmark for Assessing the Response Capability of Large Language Models in Power MarketingJinzhi Wang, Qingke Peng, Haozhou Li et al.
Electric power marketing customer service plays a critical role in addressing inquiries, complaints, and service requests. However, current systems, such as China's 95598 hotline, often struggle with slow response times, inflexible procedures, and limited accuracy in domain-specific tasks. While large language models (LLMs) like GPT-4o and Claude 3 demonstrate strong general capabilities, they lack the domain expertise and empathy required in this field. To bridge this gap, we introduce ElectriQ, the first benchmark designed to evaluate and enhance LLMs in electric power marketing scenarios. ElectriQ consists of a dialogue dataset covering six key service categories and introduces four evaluation metrics: professionalism, popularity, readability, and user-friendliness. We further incorporate a domain-specific knowledge base and propose a knowledge augmentation method to boost model performance. Experiments on 13 LLMs reveal that smaller models such as LLama3-8B, when fine-tuned and augmented, can surpass GPT-4o in terms of professionalism and user-friendliness. ElectriQ establishes a comprehensive foundation for developing LLMs tailored to the needs of power marketing services.

LumiCRS: Asymmetric Contrastive Prototype Learning for Long-Tail Conversational Recommender SystemsJinzhi Wang, Bin Li, Qingke Peng et al.
Conversational recommender systems (CRSs) often suffer from an extreme long-tail distribution of dialogue data, causing a strong bias toward head-frequency blockbusters that sacrifices diversity and exacerbates the cold-start problem. An empirical analysis of DCRS and statistics on the REDIAL corpus show that only 10% of head movies account for nearly half of all mentions, whereas about 70% of tail movies receive merely 26% of the attention. This imbalance gives rise to three critical challenges: head over-fitting, body representation drift, and tail sparsity. To address these issues, we propose LumiCRS, an end-to-end framework that mitigates long-tail imbalance through three mutually reinforcing layers: (i) an Adaptive Comprehensive Focal Loss (ACFL) that dynamically adjusts class weights and focusing factors to curb head over-fitting and reduce popularity bias; (ii) Prototype Learning for Long-Tail Recommendation, which selects semantic, affective, and contextual prototypes to guide clustering and stabilize body and tail representations; and (iii) a GPT-4o-driven prototype-guided dialogue augmentation module that automatically generates diverse long-tail conversational snippets to alleviate tail sparsity and distribution shift. Together, these strategies enable LumiCRS to markedly improve recommendation accuracy, diversity, and fairness: on the REDIAL and INSPIRED benchmarks, LumiCRS boosts Recall@10 and Tail-Recall@10 by 7-15% over fifteen strong baselines, while human evaluations confirm superior fluency, informativeness, and long-tail relevance. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of multi-layer collaboration in building an efficient and fair long-tail conversational recommender.
