LAP: An Agent-to-Instrument Protocol for Autonomous Science

Autonomous science is moving from demonstration to infrastructure. Large language model agents now plan experiments, and self-driving laboratories execute them. Yet every such system rebuilds the link between the reasoning agent and the physical instrument from scratch, against fragmented vendor SDKs and standards built for deterministic software clients rather than probabilistic, goal-directed agents. Recent agent-interoperability protocols clarify two of the three edges of an agentic ecosystem (Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP) standardizes the agent-to-tool edge, and Google's Agent2Agent (A2A) the agent-to-agent edge), but neither models the agent-to-instrument edge, where operations are stateful, safety-critical, exclusively owned, physically embodied, and produce measurements with units, calibration, and uncertainty. We present the Lab Agent Protocol (LAP), a protocol design that fills this gap. LAP retains A2A's peer-to-peer, discovery-first, task-lifecycle structure and adds four physical-world primitives: (i) the InstrumentCard, a signed capability and physical-limit description; (ii) first-class reservation for exclusive instrument and sample locking; (iii) a safety-fence handshake with operator-confirmation tokens cryptographically bound to a specific task and its parameters, gating hazardous and irreversible operations; and (iv) a MeasurementResult schema that makes every result physically typed (QUDT/UCUM), calibration-anchored, uncertainty-bearing, and reproducible by construction. We specify roles, a six-layer architecture, the JSON-RPC method set, the task and safety state machines, the error model, and cross-laboratory federation, and walk a closed-loop autonomous campaign through the protocol end-to-end. LAP is transport-compatible with the A2A/MCP ecosystem and encapsulates rather than replaces existing device standards such as SiLA 2 and OPC-UA.

CardioLens: Revealing the Clinical Reality Gap of MLLMs via Multi-Sequence Cardiac MRI Evaluations

Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have shown strong performance on public medical benchmarks, yet existing evaluations often remain weak proxies for clinical use, relying on isolated inputs and simplified recognition-style tasks. We introduce CardioLens, a leakage-resistant evaluation testbed for multi-sequence Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR), constructed from private hospital archives through a rigorous report-to-QA construction and verification pipeline. CardioLens contains 473,896 slices and 13,494 verified QA pairs across 4D Cine, LGE, perfusion, and T2-weighted imaging, and evaluates three stages of CMR interpretation: image understanding, report generation, and disease diagnosis. Across 24 state-of-the-art MLLMs, CardioLens reveals a substantial clinical reality gap: models perform poorly overall, with performance degrading along the real CMR workflow. Confusion analysis further shows a category-collapse failure mode, where models default to frequent abnormal categories rather than distinguishing clinically distinct findings. To rule out MLLM-compatible input construction as the primary cause, we compare random, clinically motivated, and data-driven slice selection protocols under different slice budgets; performance changes only marginally, typically by about 1%. Explicit reasoning prompts also fail to rescue performance, often making models more conservative rather than improving visual evidence use. These results show that current MLLMs remain far from reliable CMR interpretation, where clinical decisions require integrating distributed evidence across sequences, views, and temporal phases. CardioLens provides a clinically grounded testbed for developing next-generation MLLMs toward real-world clinical deployment.

DiLogics: Creating Web Automation Programs With Diverse Logics

Knowledge workers frequently encounter repetitive web data entry tasks, like updating records or placing orders. Web automation increases productivity, but translating tasks to web actions accurately and extending to new specifications is challenging. Existing tools can automate tasks that perform the same logical trace of UI actions (e.g., input text in each field in order), but do not support tasks requiring different executions based on varied input conditions. We present DiLogics, a programming-by-demonstration system that utilizes NLP to assist users in creating web automation programs that handle diverse specifications. DiLogics first semantically segments input data to structured task steps. By recording user demonstrations for each step, DiLogics generalizes the web macros to novel but semantically similar task requirements. Our evaluation showed that non-experts can effectively use DiLogics to create automation programs that fulfill diverse input instructions. DiLogics provides an efficient, intuitive, and expressive method for developing web automation programs satisfying diverse specifications.

On-Policy Replay for Continual Supervised Fine-Tuning

Continual supervised fine-tuning (SFT) is the de facto recipe for adapting large language models (LLMs) to a stream of downstream tasks, but it suffers from catastrophic forgetting of earlier capabilities. Recent work shows that on-policy signals -- training on the model's own outputs -- reduce forgetting more reliably than off-policy supervision. Existing on-policy methods route this signal through a new training objective (e.g., self-distillation losses with a teacher copy), inheriting an extra forward pass, schedule sensitivity, and stylistic drift from the teacher.We instead route the on-policy signal through the training data source. Our method, On-Policy Replay (OPR), rolls out the most recent checkpoint on a small budget of historical prompts, filters the generations by a task reward, and replays the surviving (prompt, model response) pairs as ordinary SFT examples. There is no teacher, no auxiliary loss, and no on-the-fly distillation. Across three 7--8B instruction-tuned backbones (Qwen2.5-7B-Instruct, Qwen3-8B, Llama3.1-8B-Instruct) on the TRACE continual-learning benchmark, OPR consistently reduces forgetting; on the sharpest stress test (Qwen2.5-7B-Instruct, Sequential SFT BWT -13.93), OPR lifts BWT to -0.65 at a 10% replay budget and to -2.29 at a 1% budget -- a 46% reduction in |BWT| over a tuned Vanilla Replay baseline, with 42--46% reductions observed across all three backbones. We give a KL-shrinkage interpretation that places OPR and prior on-policy distillation methods on a single axis, and we present a counterintuitive finding that explains why Vanilla Replay is already a strong baseline: low-score replay is uniformly worse than Vanilla Replay, demonstrating that the active ingredient in OPR is the on-policy distribution, not the response quality alone.Our code is available at https://github.com/Yancey2024/OnPolicyReplay.

Diffusion-based Data Augmentation for Nuclei Image Segmentation

Nuclei segmentation is a fundamental but challenging task in the quantitative analysis of histopathology images. Although fully-supervised deep learning-based methods have made significant progress, a large number of labeled images are required to achieve great segmentation performance. Considering that manually labeling all nuclei instances for a dataset is inefficient, obtaining a large-scale human-annotated dataset is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Therefore, augmenting a dataset with only a few labeled images to improve the segmentation performance is of significant research and application value. In this paper, we introduce the first diffusion-based augmentation method for nuclei segmentation. The idea is to synthesize a large number of labeled images to facilitate training the segmentation model. To achieve this, we propose a two-step strategy. In the first step, we train an unconditional diffusion model to synthesize the Nuclei Structure that is defined as the representation of pixel-level semantic and distance transform. Each synthetic nuclei structure will serve as a constraint on histopathology image synthesis and is further post-processed to be an instance map. In the second step, we train a conditioned diffusion model to synthesize histopathology images based on nuclei structures. The synthetic histopathology images paired with synthetic instance maps will be added to the real dataset for training the segmentation model. The experimental results show that by augmenting 10% labeled real dataset with synthetic samples, one can achieve comparable segmentation results with the fully-supervised baseline. Low Light Image Enhancement Challenge at NTIRE 2026

This paper presents a comprehensive review of the NTIRE 2026 Low Light Image Enhancement Challenge, highlighting the proposed solutions and final results. The objective of this challenge is to identify effective networks capable of producing clearer and visually compelling images in diverse and challenging conditions by learning representative visual cues with the purpose of restoring information loss due to low-contrast and noisy images. A total of 195 participants registered for the first track and 153 for the second track of the competition, and 22 teams ultimately submitted valid entries. This paper thoroughly evaluates the state-of-the-art advances in (joint denoising and) low-light image enhancement, showcasing the significant progress in the field, while leveraging samples of our novel dataset.

Deep Learning Serves Traffic Safety Analysis: A Forward-looking Review

This paper explores Deep Learning (DL) methods that are used or have the potential to be used for traffic video analysis, emphasizing driving safety for both Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and human-operated vehicles. We present a typical processing pipeline, which can be used to understand and interpret traffic videos by extracting operational safety metrics and providing general hints and guidelines to improve traffic safety. This processing framework includes several steps, including video enhancement, video stabilization, semantic and incident segmentation, object detection and classification, trajectory extraction, speed estimation, event analysis, modeling and anomaly detection. Our main goal is to guide traffic analysts to develop their own custom-built processing frameworks by selecting the best choices for each step and offering new designs for the lacking modules by providing a comparative analysis of the most successful conventional and DL-based algorithms proposed for each step. We also review existing open-source tools and public datasets that can help train DL models. To be more specific, we review exemplary traffic problems and mentioned requires steps for each problem. Besides, we investigate connections to the closely related research areas of drivers' cognition evaluation, Crowd-sourcing-based monitoring systems, Edge Computing in roadside infrastructures, Automated Driving Systems (ADS)-equipped vehicles, and highlight the missing gaps. Finally, we review commercial implementations of traffic monitoring systems, their future outlook, and open problems and remaining challenges for widespread use of such systems.

LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601 Technical Report

We introduce LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601, a 560-billion-parameter open-source Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) reasoning model with superior agentic reasoning capability. LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601 achieves state-of-the-art performance among open-source models on a wide range of agentic benchmarks, including agentic search, agentic tool use, and tool-integrated reasoning. Beyond benchmark performance, the model demonstrates strong generalization to complex tool interactions and robust behavior under noisy real-world environments. Its advanced capability stems from a unified training framework that combines domain-parallel expert training with subsequent fusion, together with an end-to-end co-design of data construction, environments, algorithms, and infrastructure spanning from pre-training to post-training. In particular, the model's strong generalization capability in complex tool-use are driven by our in-depth exploration of environment scaling and principled task construction. To optimize long-tailed, skewed generation and multi-turn agentic interactions, and to enable stable training across over 10,000 environments spanning more than 20 domains, we systematically extend our asynchronous reinforcement learning framework, DORA, for stable and efficient large-scale multi-environment training. Furthermore, recognizing that real-world tasks are inherently noisy, we conduct a systematic analysis and decomposition of real-world noise patterns, and design targeted training procedures to explicitly incorporate such imperfections into the training process, resulting in improved robustness for real-world applications. To further enhance performance on complex reasoning tasks, we introduce a Heavy Thinking mode that enables effective test-time scaling by jointly expanding reasoning depth and width through intensive parallel thinking.

Continual Learning for Remote Physiological Measurement: Minimize Forgetting and Simplify Inference

Remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) has gained significant attention in recent years for its ability to extract physiological signals from facial videos. While existing rPPG measurement methods have shown satisfactory performance in intra-dataset and cross-dataset scenarios, they often overlook the incremental learning scenario, where training data is presented sequentially, resulting in the issue of catastrophic forgetting. Meanwhile, most existing class incremental learning approaches are unsuitable for rPPG measurement. In this paper, we present a novel method named ADDP to tackle continual learning for rPPG measurement. We first employ adapter to efficiently finetune the model on new tasks. Then we design domain prototypes that are more applicable to rPPG signal regression than commonly used class prototypes. Based on these prototypes, we propose a feature augmentation strategy to consolidate the past knowledge and an inference simplification strategy to convert potentially forgotten tasks into familiar ones for the model. To evaluate ADDP and enable fair comparisons, we create the first continual learning protocol for rPPG measurement. Knowledge Acquisition Disentanglement for Knowledge-based Visual Question Answering with Large Language Models

Knowledge-based Visual Question Answering (KVQA) requires both image and world knowledge to answer questions. Current methods first retrieve knowledge from the image and external knowledge base with the original complex question, then generate answers with Large Language Models (LLMs). However, since the original question contains complex elements that require knowledge from different sources, acquiring different kinds of knowledge in a coupled manner may confuse models and hinder them from retrieving precise knowledge. Furthermore, the ``forward-only'' answering process fails to explicitly capture the knowledge needs of LLMs, which can further hurt answering quality. To cope with the above limitations, we propose DKA: Disentangled Knowledge Acquisition from LLM feedback, a training-free framework that disentangles knowledge acquisition to avoid confusion and uses LLM's feedback to specify the required knowledge. Specifically, DKA requires LLMs to specify what knowledge they need to answer the question and decompose the original complex question into two simple sub-questions: Image-based sub-question and Knowledge-based sub-question. Then we use the two sub-questions to retrieve knowledge from the image and knowledge base, respectively. In this way, two knowledge acquisition models can focus on the content that corresponds to them and avoid disturbance of irrelevant elements in the original complex question, which can help to provide more precise knowledge and better align the knowledge needs of LLMs to yield correct answers. DATE: Domain Adaptive Product Seeker for E-commerce

Product Retrieval (PR) and Grounding (PG), aiming to seek image and object-level products respectively according to a textual query, have attracted great interest recently for better shopping experience. Owing to the lack of relevant datasets, we collect two large-scale benchmark datasets from Taobao Mall and Live domains with about 474k and 101k image-query pairs for PR, and manually annotate the object bounding boxes in each image for PG. As annotating boxes is expensive and time-consuming, we attempt to transfer knowledge from annotated domain to unannotated for PG to achieve un-supervised Domain Adaptation (PG-DA). We propose a {\bf D}omain {\bf A}daptive Produc{\bf t} S{\bf e}eker ({\bf DATE}) framework, regarding PR and PG as Product Seeking problem at different levels, to assist the query {\bf date} the product. Concretely, we first design a semantics-aggregated feature extractor for each modality to obtain concentrated and comprehensive features for following efficient retrieval and fine-grained grounding tasks. Then, we present two cooperative seekers to simultaneously search the image for PR and localize the product for PG. Besides, we devise a domain aligner for PG-DA to alleviate uni-modal marginal and multi-modal conditional distribution shift between source and target domains, and design a pseudo box generator to dynamically select reliable instances and generate bounding boxes for further knowledge transfer. Extensive experiments show that our DATE achieves satisfactory performance in fully-supervised PR, PG and un-supervised PG-DA. DNA: Denoised Neighborhood Aggregation for Fine-grained Category Discovery

Discovering fine-grained categories from coarsely labeled data is a practical and challenging task, which can bridge the gap between the demand for fine-grained analysis and the high annotation cost. Previous works mainly focus on instance-level discrimination to learn low-level features, but ignore semantic similarities between data, which may prevent these models learning compact cluster representations. In this paper, we propose Denoised Neighborhood Aggregation (DNA), a self-supervised framework that encodes semantic structures of data into the embedding space. Specifically, we retrieve k-nearest neighbors of a query as its positive keys to capture semantic similarities between data and then aggregate information from the neighbors to learn compact cluster representations, which can make fine-grained categories more separatable. However, the retrieved neighbors can be noisy and contain many false-positive keys, which can degrade the quality of learned embeddings. To cope with this challenge, we propose three principles to filter out these false neighbors for better representation learning. Furthermore, we theoretically justify that the learning objective of our framework is equivalent to a clustering loss, which can capture semantic similarities between data to form compact fine-grained clusters. Extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets show that our method can retrieve more accurate neighbors (21.31% accuracy improvement) and outperform state-of-the-art models by a large margin (average 9.96% improvement on three metrics). Less Learn Shortcut: Analyzing and Mitigating Learning of Spurious Feature-Label Correlation

Recent research has revealed that deep neural networks often take dataset biases as a shortcut to make decisions rather than understand tasks, leading to failures in real-world applications. In this study, we focus on the spurious correlation between word features and labels that models learn from the biased data distribution of training data. In particular, we define the word highly co-occurring with a specific label as biased word, and the example containing biased word as biased example. Our analysis shows that biased examples are easier for models to learn, while at the time of prediction, biased words make a significantly higher contribution to the models' predictions, and models tend to assign predicted labels over-relying on the spurious correlation between words and labels. To mitigate models' over-reliance on the shortcut (i.e. spurious correlation), we propose a training strategy Less-Learn-Shortcut (LLS): our strategy quantifies the biased degree of the biased examples and down-weights them accordingly. Experimental results on Question Matching, Natural Language Inference and Sentiment Analysis tasks show that LLS is a task-agnostic strategy and can improve the model performance on adversarial data while maintaining good performance on in-domain data.

MMST-ViT: Climate Change-aware Crop Yield Prediction via Multi-Modal Spatial-Temporal Vision Transformer

Precise crop yield prediction provides valuable information for agricultural planning and decision-making processes. However, timely predicting crop yields remains challenging as crop growth is sensitive to growing season weather variation and climate change. In this work, we develop a deep learning-based solution, namely Multi-Modal Spatial-Temporal Vision Transformer (MMST-ViT), for predicting crop yields at the county level across the United States, by considering the effects of short-term meteorological variations during the growing season and the long-term climate change on crops. Specifically, our MMST-ViT consists of a Multi-Modal Transformer, a Spatial Transformer, and a Temporal Transformer. The Multi-Modal Transformer leverages both visual remote sensing data and short-term meteorological data for modeling the effect of growing season weather variations on crop growth. The Spatial Transformer learns the high-resolution spatial dependency among counties for accurate agricultural tracking. The Temporal Transformer captures the long-range temporal dependency for learning the impact of long-term climate change on crops. Meanwhile, we also devise a novel multi-modal contrastive learning technique to pre-train our model without extensive human supervision. Hence, our MMST-ViT captures the impacts of both short-term weather variations and long-term climate change on crops by leveraging both satellite images and meteorological data. We have conducted extensive experiments on over 200 counties in the United States, with the experimental results exhibiting that our MMST-ViT outperforms its counterparts under three performance metrics of interest.

Deep Factor Model: A Novel Approach for Motion Compensated Multi-Dimensional MRI

Recent quantitative parameter mapping methods including MR fingerprinting (MRF) collect a time series of images that capture the evolution of magnetization. The focus of this work is to introduce a novel approach termed as Deep Factor Model(DFM), which offers an efficient representation of the multi-contrast image time series. The higher efficiency of the representation enables the acquisition of the images in a highly undersampled fashion, which translates to reduced scan time in 3D high-resolution multi-contrast applications. The approach integrates motion estimation and compensation, making the approach robust to subject motion during the scan.

A quasi-monolithic localized high-order ALE finite element method for multi-scale fluid-structure interaction problems

This paper presents a quasi-monolithic localized high-order arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (qMLH-ALE) finite element method for multi-scale fluid-structure interaction (FSI) in microfluidic systems. The fluid momentum, the incompressible Neo-Hookean constitutive law, and the left Cauchy-Green tensor $\mathcal{B}$ are assembled into a single implicit system, while the harmonic mesh extension is updated explicitly in a staggered manner. Isoparametric $\mathcal{P}_2$ elements provide third-order geometric approximation of curved fluid-solid interfaces, and a second-order implicit-explicit partitioned Runge-Kutta scheme delivers second-order temporal accuracy without the dissipation of backward Euler. A localized updating strategy confines the moving mesh and the deformation history to a body-fitted sub-domain coupled with a precomputed steady background flow, bridging the scale disparity between local FSI dynamics and the macroscopic microchannel geometry. The Turek-Hron FSI3 benchmark, performed at unit fluid-solid density ratio, reproduces the reference beam-tip amplitude and frequency within $3\%$, confirming stability under the strong added-mass coupling that destabilizes conventional partitioned schemes. Three-dimensional particle-focusing simulations in spiral microchannels further illustrate the framework on long-range multi-scale problems.

RFPose-OT: RF-Based 3D Human Pose Estimation via Optimal Transport Theory

This paper introduces a novel framework, i.e., RFPose-OT, to enable the 3D human pose estimation from Radio Frequency (RF) signals. Different from existing methods that predict human poses from RF signals on the signal level directly, we consider the structure difference between the RF signals and the human poses, propose to transform the RF signals to the pose domain on the feature level based on Optimal Transport (OT) theory, and generate human poses from the transformed features. To evaluate RFPose-OT, we build a radio system and a multi-view camera system to acquire the RF signal data and the ground-truth human poses. The experimental results in basic indoor environment, occlusion indoor environment, and outdoor environment, all demonstrate that RFPose-OT can predict 3D human poses with higher precision than the state-of-the-art methods.

Noise-Tolerant Learning for Audio-Visual Action Recognition

Recently, video recognition is emerging with the help of multi-modal learning, which focuses on integrating distinct modalities to improve the performance or robustness of the model. Although various multi-modal learning methods have been proposed and offer remarkable recognition results, almost all of these methods rely on high-quality manual annotations and assume that modalities among multi-modal data provide semantically relevant information. Unfortunately, the widely used video datasets are usually coarse-annotated or collected from the Internet. Thus, it inevitably contains a portion of noisy labels and noisy correspondence. To address this challenge, we use the audio-visual action recognition task as a proxy and propose a noise-tolerant learning framework to find anti-interference model parameters against both noisy labels and noisy correspondence. Specifically, our method consists of two phases that aim to rectify noise by the inherent correlation between modalities. First, a noise-tolerant contrastive training phase is performed to make the model immune to the possible noisy-labeled data. To alleviate the influence of noisy correspondence, we propose a cross-modal noise estimation component to adjust the consistency between different modalities. As the noisy correspondence existed at the instance level, we further propose a category-level contrastive loss to reduce its interference. Second, in the hybrid-supervised training phase, we calculate the distance metric among features to obtain corrected labels, which are used as complementary supervision to guide the training. Extensive experiments on a wide range of noisy levels demonstrate that our method significantly improves the robustness of the action recognition model and surpasses the baselines by a clear margin.

Self-Supervised Intensity-Event Stereo Matching

Event cameras are novel bio-inspired vision sensors that output pixel-level intensity changes in microsecond accuracy with a high dynamic range and low power consumption. Despite these advantages, event cameras cannot be directly applied to computational imaging tasks due to the inability to obtain high-quality intensity and events simultaneously. This paper aims to connect a standalone event camera and a modern intensity camera so that the applications can take advantage of both two sensors. We establish this connection through a multi-modal stereo matching task. We first convert events to a reconstructed image and extend the existing stereo networks to this multi-modality condition. We propose a self-supervised method to train the multi-modal stereo network without using ground truth disparity data. The structure loss calculated on image gradients is used to enable self-supervised learning on such multi-modal data. Exploiting the internal stereo constraint between views with different modalities, we introduce general stereo loss functions, including disparity cross-consistency loss and internal disparity loss, leading to improved performance and robustness compared to existing approaches. NeuroCanvas: VLLM-Powered Robust Seizure Detection by Reformulating Multichannel EEG as Image

Accurate and timely seizure detection from Electroencephalography (EEG) is critical for clinical intervention, yet manual review of long-term recordings is labor-intensive. Recent efforts to encode EEG signals into large language models (LLMs) show promise in handling neural signals across diverse patients, but two significant challenges remain: (1) multi-channel heterogeneity, as seizure-relevant information varies substantially across EEG channels, and (2) computing inefficiency, as the EEG signals need to be encoded into a massive number of tokens for the prediction. To address these issues, we draw the EEG signal and propose the novel NeuroCanvas framework. Specifically, NeuroCanvas consists of two modules: (i) The Entropy-guided Channel Selector (ECS) selects the seizure-relevant channels input to LLM and (ii) the following Canvas of Neuron Signal (CNS) converts selected multi-channel heterogeneous EEG signals into structured visual representations. The ECS module alleviates the multi-channel heterogeneity issue, and the CNS uses compact visual tokens to represent the EEG signals that improve the computing efficiency. We evaluate NeuroCanvas across multiple seizure detection datasets, demonstrating a significant improvement of $20\%$ in F1 score and reductions of $88\%$ in inference latency. These results highlight NeuroCanvas as a scalable and effective solution for real-time and resource-efficient seizure detection in clinical practice.The code will be released at https://github.com/Yanchen30247/seizure_detect.

ERNIE 5.0 Technical Report

In this report, we introduce ERNIE 5.0, a natively autoregressive foundation model desinged for unified multimodal understanding and generation across text, image, video, and audio. All modalities are trained from scratch under a unified next-group-of-tokens prediction objective, based on an ultra-sparse mixture-of-experts (MoE) architecture with modality-agnostic expert routing. To address practical challenges in large-scale deployment under diverse resource constraints, ERNIE 5.0 adopts a novel elastic training paradigm. Within a single pre-training run, the model learns a family of sub-models with varying depths, expert capacities, and routing sparsity, enabling flexible trade-offs among performance, model size, and inference latency in memory- or time-constrained scenarios. Moreover, we systematically address the challenges of scaling reinforcement learning to unified foundation models, thereby guaranteeing efficient and stable post-training under ultra-sparse MoE architectures and diverse multimodal settings. Extensive experiments demonstrate that ERNIE 5.0 achieves strong and balanced performance across multiple modalities. To the best of our knowledge, among publicly disclosed models, ERNIE 5.0 represents the first production-scale realization of a trillion-parameter unified autoregressive model that supports both multimodal understanding and generation. To facilitate further research, we present detailed visualizations of modality-agnostic expert routing in the unified model, alongside comprehensive empirical analysis of elastic training, aiming to offer profound insights to the community.

FlashOcc: Fast and Memory-Efficient Occupancy Prediction via Channel-to-Height Plugin

Given the capability of mitigating the long-tail deficiencies and intricate-shaped absence prevalent in 3D object detection, occupancy prediction has become a pivotal component in autonomous driving systems. However, the procession of three-dimensional voxel-level representations inevitably introduces large overhead in both memory and computation, obstructing the deployment of to-date occupancy prediction approaches. In contrast to the trend of making the model larger and more complicated, we argue that a desirable framework should be deployment-friendly to diverse chips while maintaining high precision. To this end, we propose a plug-and-play paradigm, namely FlashOCC, to consolidate rapid and memory-efficient occupancy prediction while maintaining high precision. Particularly, our FlashOCC makes two improvements based on the contemporary voxel-level occupancy prediction approaches. Firstly, the features are kept in the BEV, enabling the employment of efficient 2D convolutional layers for feature extraction. Secondly, a channel-to-height transformation is introduced to lift the output logits from the BEV into the 3D space. We apply the FlashOCC to diverse occupancy prediction baselines on the challenging Occ3D-nuScenes benchmarks and conduct extensive experiments to validate the effectiveness. The results substantiate the superiority of our plug-and-play paradigm over previous state-of-the-art methods in terms of precision, runtime efficiency, and memory costs, demonstrating its potential for deployment. Hunyuan-DiT: A Powerful Multi-Resolution Diffusion Transformer with Fine-Grained Chinese Understanding

We present Hunyuan-DiT, a text-to-image diffusion transformer with fine-grained understanding of both English and Chinese. To construct Hunyuan-DiT, we carefully design the transformer structure, text encoder, and positional encoding. We also build from scratch a whole data pipeline to update and evaluate data for iterative model optimization. For fine-grained language understanding, we train a Multimodal Large Language Model to refine the captions of the images. Finally, Hunyuan-DiT can perform multi-turn multimodal dialogue with users, generating and refining images according to the context. Through our holistic human evaluation protocol with more than 50 professional human evaluators, Hunyuan-DiT sets a new state-of-the-art in Chinese-to-image generation compared with other open-source models. rPPG-VQA: A Video Quality Assessment Framework for Unsupervised rPPG Training

Unsupervised remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) promises to leverage unlabeled video data, but its potential is hindered by a critical challenge: training on low-quality "in-the-wild" videos severely degrades model performance. An essential step missing here is to assess the suitability of the videos for rPPG model learning before using them for the task. Existing video quality assessment (VQA) methods are mainly designed for human perception and not directly applicable to the above purpose. In this work, we propose rPPG-VQA, a novel framework for assessing video suitability for rPPG. We integrate signal-level and scene-level analyses and design a dual-branch assessment architecture. The signal-level branch evaluates the physiological signal quality of the videos via robust signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) estimation with a multi-method consensus mechanism, and the scene-level branch uses a multimodal large language model (MLLM) to identify interferences like motion and unstable lighting. Furthermore, we propose a two-stage adaptive sampling (TAS) strategy that utilizes the quality score to curate optimal training datasets. Experiments show that by training on large-scale, "in-the-wild" videos filtered by our framework, we can develop unsupervised rPPG models that achieve a substantial improvement in accuracy on standard benchmarks. Flipped Classroom: Aligning Teacher Attention with Student in Generalized Category Discovery

Recent advancements have shown promise in applying traditional Semi-Supervised Learning strategies to the task of Generalized Category Discovery (GCD). Typically, this involves a teacher-student framework in which the teacher imparts knowledge to the student to classify categories, even in the absence of explicit labels. Nevertheless, GCD presents unique challenges, particularly the absence of priors for new classes, which can lead to the teacher's misguidance and unsynchronized learning with the student, culminating in suboptimal outcomes. In our work, we delve into why traditional teacher-student designs falter in open-world generalized category discovery as compared to their success in closed-world semi-supervised learning. We identify inconsistent pattern learning across attention layers as the crux of this issue and introduce FlipClass, a method that dynamically updates the teacher to align with the student's attention, instead of maintaining a static teacher reference. Our teacher-student attention alignment strategy refines the teacher's focus based on student feedback from an energy perspective, promoting consistent pattern recognition and synchronized learning across old and new classes. Extensive experiments on a spectrum of benchmarks affirm that FlipClass significantly surpasses contemporary GCD methods, establishing new standards for the field.

SMoA: Sparse Mixture of Adapters to Mitigate Multiple Dataset Biases

Recent studies reveal that various biases exist in different NLP tasks, and over-reliance on biases results in models' poor generalization ability and low adversarial robustness. To mitigate datasets biases, previous works propose lots of debiasing techniques to tackle specific biases, which perform well on respective adversarial sets but fail to mitigate other biases. In this paper, we propose a new debiasing method Sparse Mixture-of-Adapters (SMoA), which can mitigate multiple dataset biases effectively and efficiently. Experiments on Natural Language Inference and Paraphrase Identification tasks demonstrate that SMoA outperforms full-finetuning, adapter tuning baselines, and prior strong debiasing methods. Further analysis indicates the interpretability of SMoA that sub-adapter can capture specific pattern from the training data and specialize to handle specific bias.

A monitoring framework for deployed machine learning models with supply chain examples

Actively monitoring machine learning models during production operations helps ensure prediction quality and detection and remediation of unexpected or undesired conditions. Monitoring models already deployed in big data environments brings the additional challenges of adding monitoring in parallel to the existing modelling workflow and controlling resource requirements. In this paper, we describe (1) a framework for monitoring machine learning models; and, (2) its implementation for a big data supply chain application. We use our implementation to study drift in model features, predictions, and performance on three real data sets. We compare hypothesis test and information theoretic approaches to drift detection in features and predictions using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov distance and Bhattacharyya coefficient. Results showed that model performance was stable over the evaluation period. Features and predictions showed statistically significant drifts; however, these drifts were not linked to changes in model performance during the time of our study.

Decentralized Policy Gradient for Nash Equilibria Learning of General-sum Stochastic Games

We study Nash equilibria learning of a general-sum stochastic game with an unknown transition probability density function. Agents take actions at the current environment state and their joint action influences the transition of the environment state and their immediate rewards. Each agent only observes the environment state and its own immediate reward and is unknown about the actions or immediate rewards of others. We introduce the concepts of weighted asymptotic Nash equilibrium with probability 1 and in probability. For the case with exact pseudo gradients, we design a two-loop algorithm by the equivalence of Nash equilibrium and variational inequality problems. In the outer loop, we sequentially update a constructed strongly monotone variational inequality by updating a proximal parameter while employing a single-call extra-gradient algorithm in the inner loop for solving the constructed variational inequality. We show that if the associated Minty variational inequality has a solution, then the designed algorithm converges to the k^{1/2}-weighted asymptotic Nash equilibrium. Further, for the case with unknown pseudo gradients, we propose a decentralized algorithm, where the G(PO)MDP gradient estimator of the pseudo gradient is provided by Monte-Carlo simulations. The convergence to the k^{1/4} -weighted asymptotic Nash equilibrium in probability is achieved.

Contrastive Reasoning Alignment: Reinforcement Learning from Hidden Representations

We propose CRAFT, a red-teaming alignment framework that leverages model reasoning capabilities and hidden representations to improve robustness against jailbreak attacks. Unlike prior defenses that operate primarily at the output level, CRAFT aligns large reasoning models to generate safety-aware reasoning traces by explicitly optimizing objectives defined over the hidden state space. Methodologically, CRAFT integrates contrastive representation learning with reinforcement learning to separate safe and unsafe reasoning trajectories, yielding a latent-space geometry that supports robust, reasoning-level safety alignment. Theoretically, we show that incorporating latent-textual consistency into GRPO eliminates superficially aligned policies by ruling them out as local optima. Empirically, we evaluate CRAFT on multiple safety benchmarks using two strong reasoning models, Qwen3-4B-Thinking and R1-Distill-Llama-8B, where it consistently outperforms state-of-the-art defenses such as IPO and SafeKey. Notably, CRAFT delivers an average 79.0% improvement in reasoning safety and 87.7% improvement in final-response safety over the base models, demonstrating the effectiveness of hidden-space reasoning alignment.

An Automated Framework for Strategy Discovery, Retrieval, and Evolution in LLM Jailbreak Attacks

The widespread deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) as public-facing web services and APIs has made their security a core concern for the web ecosystem. Jailbreak attacks, as one of the significant threats to LLMs, have recently attracted extensive research. In this paper, we reveal a jailbreak strategy which can effectively evade current defense strategies. It can extract valuable information from failed or partially successful attack attempts and contains self-evolution from attack interactions, resulting in sufficient strategy diversity and adaptability. Inspired by continuous learning and modular design principles, we propose ASTRA, a jailbreak framework that autonomously discovers, retrieves, and evolves attack strategies to achieve more efficient and adaptive attacks. To enable this autonomous evolution, we design a closed-loop "attack-evaluate-distill-reuse" core mechanism that not only generates attack prompts but also automatically distills and generalizes reusable attack strategies from every interaction. To systematically accumulate and apply this attack knowledge, we introduce a three-tier strategy library that categorizes strategies into Effective, Promising, and Ineffective based on their performance scores. The strategy library not only provides precise guidance for attack generation but also possesses exceptional extensibility and transferability. We conduct extensive experiments under a black-box setting, and the results show that ASTRA achieves an average Attack Success Rate (ASR) of 82.7%, significantly outperforming baselines.

Transfer and Alignment Network for Generalized Category Discovery

Generalized Category Discovery is a crucial real-world task. Despite the improved performance on known categories, current methods perform poorly on novel categories. We attribute the poor performance to two reasons: biased knowledge transfer between labeled and unlabeled data and noisy representation learning on the unlabeled data. To mitigate these two issues, we propose a Transfer and Alignment Network (TAN), which incorporates two knowledge transfer mechanisms to calibrate the biased knowledge and two feature alignment mechanisms to learn discriminative features. Specifically, we model different categories with prototypes and transfer the prototypes in labeled data to correct model bias towards known categories. On the one hand, we pull instances with known categories in unlabeled data closer to these prototypes to form more compact clusters and avoid boundary overlap between known and novel categories. On the other hand, we use these prototypes to calibrate noisy prototypes estimated from unlabeled data based on category similarities, which allows for more accurate estimation of prototypes for novel categories that can be used as reliable learning targets later. After knowledge transfer, we further propose two feature alignment mechanisms to acquire both instance- and category-level knowledge from unlabeled data by aligning instance features with both augmented features and the calibrated prototypes, which can boost model performance on both known and novel categories with less noise. Experiments on three benchmark datasets show that our model outperforms SOTA methods, especially on novel categories. Generalized Category Discovery with Large Language Models in the Loop

Generalized Category Discovery (GCD) is a crucial task that aims to recognize both known and novel categories from a set of unlabeled data by utilizing a few labeled data with only known categories. Due to the lack of supervision and category information, current methods usually perform poorly on novel categories and struggle to reveal semantic meanings of the discovered clusters, which limits their applications in the real world. To mitigate the above issues, we propose Loop, an end-to-end active-learning framework that introduces Large Language Models (LLMs) into the training loop, which can boost model performance and generate category names without relying on any human efforts. Specifically, we first propose Local Inconsistent Sampling (LIS) to select samples that have a higher probability of falling to wrong clusters, based on neighborhood prediction consistency and entropy of cluster assignment probabilities. Then we propose a Scalable Query strategy to allow LLMs to choose true neighbors of the selected samples from multiple candidate samples. Based on the feedback from LLMs, we perform Refined Neighborhood Contrastive Learning (RNCL) to pull samples and their neighbors closer to learn clustering-friendly representations. Finally, we select representative samples from clusters corresponding to novel categories to allow LLMs to generate category names for them. Extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets show that Loop outperforms SOTA models by a large margin and generates accurate category names for the discovered clusters. FQ-PETR: Fully Quantized Position Embedding Transformation for Multi-View 3D Object Detection

Camera-based multi-view 3D detection is crucial for autonomous driving. PETR and its variants (PETRs) excel in benchmarks but face deployment challenges due to high computational cost and memory footprint. Quantization is an effective technique for compressing deep neural networks by reducing the bit width of weights and activations. However, directly applying existing quantization methods to PETRs leads to severe accuracy degradation. This issue primarily arises from two key challenges: (1) significant magnitude disparity between multi-modal features-specifically, image features and camera-ray positional embeddings (PE), and (2) the inefficiency and approximation error of quantizing non-linear operators, which commonly rely on hardware-unfriendly computations. In this paper, we propose FQ-PETR, a fully quantized framework for PETRs, featuring three key innovations: (1) Quantization-Friendly LiDAR-ray Position Embedding (QFPE): Replacing multi-point sampling with LiDAR-prior-guided single-point sampling and anchor-based embedding eliminates problematic non-linearities (e.g., inverse-sigmoid) and aligns PE scale with image features, preserving accuracy. (2) Dual-Lookup Table (DULUT): This algorithm approximates complex non-linear functions using two cascaded linear LUTs, achieving high fidelity with minimal entries and no specialized hardware. (3) Quantization After Numerical Stabilization (QANS): Performing quantization after softmax numerical stabilization mitigates attention distortion from large inputs. On PETRs (e.g. PETR, StreamPETR, PETRv2, MV2d), FQ-PETR under W8A8 achieves near-floating-point accuracy (1% degradation) while reducing latency by up to 75%, significantly outperforming existing PTQ and QAT baselines.

Attention Sinks and Outliers in Attention Residuals

We propose OASIS, an outlier- and sink-aware technique built on inter-layer null signaling. As AttnResidual architectures introduce an additional depth-wise normalization channel, they improve inter-layer routing flexibility but also exacerbate attention sinks, activation outliers, and the resulting degradation in inference stability and quantization robustness. OASIS addresses this issue by introducing a Softmax1-based null space and coupling token-level null evidence to depth routing through an inter-layer null signal, thereby reducing sink-dominated routing and improving structural robustness. Theoretically, we show that the dual-normalization design of AttnResidual intensifies sink formation and quantization brittleness. Experimentally, we compare OASIS against five baselines on three real-world datasets and observe consistent improvements in both attention sink and post-quantization performance. Notably, OASIS achieves an average reduction of 9.26% in maximum infinity norm and 2.60% in average kurtosis across the evaluated settings, while lowering perplexity by 75.85% under W8A8 and improving GSM8K Pass@1 by 12.42% under W4A4.

Passive Non-Line-of-Sight Imaging with Light Transport Modulation

Passive non-line-of-sight (NLOS) imaging has witnessed rapid development in recent years, due to its ability to image objects that are out of sight. The light transport condition plays an important role in this task since changing the conditions will lead to different imaging models. Existing learning-based NLOS methods usually train independent models for different light transport conditions, which is computationally inefficient and impairs the practicality of the models. In this work, we propose NLOS-LTM, a novel passive NLOS imaging method that effectively handles multiple light transport conditions with a single network. We achieve this by inferring a latent light transport representation from the projection image and using this representation to modulate the network that reconstructs the hidden image from the projection image. We train a light transport encoder together with a vector quantizer to obtain the light transport representation. To further regulate this representation, we jointly learn both the reconstruction network and the reprojection network during training. A set of light transport modulation blocks is used to modulate the two jointly trained networks in a multi-scale way. GSRender: Deduplicated Occupancy Prediction via Weakly Supervised 3D Gaussian Splatting

3D occupancy perception is gaining increasing attention due to its capability to offer detailed and precise environment representations. Previous weakly-supervised NeRF methods balance efficiency and accuracy, with mIoU varying by 5-10 points due to sampling count along camera rays. Recently, real-time Gaussian splatting has gained widespread popularity in 3D reconstruction, and the occupancy prediction task can also be viewed as a reconstruction task. Consequently, we propose GSRender, which naturally employs 3D Gaussian Splatting for occupancy prediction, simplifying the sampling process. In addition, the limitations of 2D supervision result in duplicate predictions along the same camera ray. We implemented the Ray Compensation (RC) module, which mitigates this issue by compensating for features from adjacent frames. Finally, we redesigned the loss to eliminate the impact of dynamic objects from adjacent frames. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach achieves SOTA (state-of-the-art) results in RayIoU (+6.0), while narrowing the gap with 3D supervision methods. Our code will be released soon.

Hallo4: High-Fidelity Dynamic Portrait Animation via Direct Preference Optimization

Generating highly dynamic and photorealistic portrait animations driven by audio and skeletal motion remains challenging due to the need for precise lip synchronization, natural facial expressions, and high-fidelity body motion dynamics. We propose a human-preference-aligned diffusion framework that addresses these challenges through two key innovations. First, we introduce direct preference optimization tailored for human-centric animation, leveraging a curated dataset of human preferences to align generated outputs with perceptual metrics for portrait motion-video alignment and naturalness of expression. Second, the proposed temporal motion modulation resolves spatiotemporal resolution mismatches by reshaping motion conditions into dimensionally aligned latent features through temporal channel redistribution and proportional feature expansion, preserving the fidelity of high-frequency motion details in diffusion-based synthesis. The proposed mechanism is complementary to existing UNet and DiT-based portrait diffusion approaches, and experiments demonstrate obvious improvements in lip-audio synchronization, expression vividness, body motion coherence over baseline methods, alongside notable gains in human preference metrics. Power Echoes: Investigating Moderation Biases in Online Power-Asymmetric Conflicts

Online power-asymmetric conflicts are prevalent, and most platforms rely on human moderators to conduct moderation currently. Previous studies have been continuously focusing on investigating human moderation biases in different scenarios, while moderation biases under power-asymmetric conflicts remain unexplored. Therefore, we aim to investigate the types of power-related biases human moderators exhibit in power-asymmetric conflict moderation (RQ1) and further explore the influence of AI's suggestions on these biases (RQ2). For this goal, we conducted a mixed design experiment with 50 participants by leveraging the real conflicts between consumers and merchants as a scenario. Results suggest several biases towards supporting the powerful party within these two moderation modes. AI assistance alleviates most biases of human moderation, but also amplifies a few. Based on these results, we propose several insights into future research on human moderation and human-AI collaborative moderation systems for power-asymmetric conflicts.

LPH-VTON: Resolving the Structure-Texture Dilemma of Virtual Try-On via Latent Process Handover

Virtual Try-On (VTON) aims to synthesize photorealistic images of garments precisely aligned with a person's body and pose. Current diffusion-based methods, however, face a fundamental trade-off between structural integrity and textural fidelity. In this paper, we formalize this challenge as a consequence of complementary inductive biases inherent in prevailing architectures: models heavily reliant on spatial constraints naturally favor geometric alignment but often suppress textures, whereas models dominated by unconstrained generative priors excel at vibrant detail rendering but are prone to structural drift. Based on this diagnosis, we propose LPH-VTON, a new synergistic framework that resolves this tension within a single, continuous denoising process. LPH-VTON strategically decomposes the generation, leveraging a structure-biased model to establish a geometrically consistent latent scaffold in the early stages, before handing over control to a texture-biased model for high-fidelity detail rendering. Extensive experiments validate our approach. Our model achieves a superior Pareto-optimal balance, establishing new benchmarks in perceptual faithfulness while maintaining highly competitive structural alignment across the standard dataset VITON-HD, proving the efficacy of temporal architectural decoupling.

Perception-Oriented Latent Coding for High-Performance Compressed Domain Semantic Inference

In recent years, compressed domain semantic inference has primarily relied on learned image coding models optimized for mean squared error (MSE). However, MSE-oriented optimization tends to yield latent spaces with limited semantic richness, which hinders effective semantic inference in downstream tasks. Moreover, achieving high performance with these models often requires fine-tuning the entire vision model, which is computationally intensive, especially for large models. To address these problems, we introduce Perception-Oriented Latent Coding (POLC), an approach that enriches the semantic content of latent features for high-performance compressed domain semantic inference. With the semantically rich latent space, POLC requires only a plug-and-play adapter for fine-tuning, significantly reducing the parameter count compared to previous MSE-oriented methods. Experimental results demonstrate that POLC achieves rate-perception performance comparable to state-of-the-art generative image coding methods while markedly enhancing performance in vision tasks, with minimal fine-tuning overhead. Training-Free Point Cloud Recognition Based on Geometric and Semantic Information Fusion

The trend of employing training-free methods for point cloud recognition is becoming increasingly popular due to its significant reduction in computational resources and time costs. However, existing approaches are limited as they typically extract either geometric or semantic features. To address this limitation, we are the first to propose a novel training-free method that integrates both geometric and semantic features. For the geometric branch, we adopt a non-parametric strategy to extract geometric features. In the semantic branch, we leverage a model aligned with text features to obtain semantic features. Additionally, we introduce the GFE module to complement the geometric information of point clouds and the MFF module to improve performance in few-shot settings. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms existing state-of-the-art training-free approaches on mainstream benchmark datasets, including ModelNet and ScanObiectNN.

FROST: Filtering Reasoning Outliers with Attention for Efficient Reasoning

We propose FROST, an attention-aware method for efficient reasoning. Unlike traditional approaches, FROST leverages attention weights to prune uncritical reasoning paths, yielding shorter and more reliable reasoning trajectories. Methodologically, we introduce the concept of reasoning outliers and design an attention-based mechanism to remove them. Theoretically, FROST preserves and enhances the model's reasoning capacity while eliminating outliers at the sentence level. Empirically, we validate FROST on four benchmarks using two strong reasoning models (Phi-4-Reasoning and GPT-OSS-20B), outperforming state-of-the-art methods such as TALE and ThinkLess. Notably, FROST achieves an average 69.68% reduction in token usage and a 26.70% improvement in accuracy over the base model. Furthermore, in evaluations of attention outlier metrics, FROST reduces the maximum infinity norm by 15.97% and the average kurtosis by 91.09% compared to the base model. AI in the Enterprise: How People Use M365 Copilot Chat

M365 Copilot is used every week by millions of people across more than a million companies around the world as part of their workflows. Uniquely positioned in the AI landscape given its near-exclusive use for work purposes, M365 Copilot can offer a clear picture of how people use AI for work and where that usage may expand next. This paper characterizes that usage through direct classification of user interactions with M365 Copilot Chat. Based on an anonymized and privacy-preserving analysis of a sample of approximately 5.5 million sessions, we combine a learned classification of user intent with a classification of O*NET work activities done with M365 Copilot Chat. We find that M365 Copilot is emerging as an everyday assistant for knowledge work: writing dominates, but users also rely on it for information retrieval, analysis, decision making and strategizing, and evaluating and diagnosing programs and systems, among others. Information seeking tasks remain common, but time trends suggest a relative shift away from ``chat as search'' and toward content and communication-related work. Comparisons across occupational groupings and to work done in the labor market further show that usage is broad but uneven, where the relative share of work done with M365 Copilot Chat cuts across jobs in some cases and is occupation-specific in others. Areas of relative underrepresentation in the labor market suggest the next frontier for enterprise AI adoption.

RHYTHM: Reasoning with Hierarchical Temporal Tokenization for Human Mobility

Predicting human mobility is inherently challenging due to complex long-range dependencies and multi-scale periodic behaviors. To address this, we introduce RHYTHM (Reasoning with Hierarchical Temporal Tokenization for Human Mobility), a unified framework that leverages large language models (LLMs) as general-purpose spatio-temporal predictors and trajectory reasoners. Methodologically, RHYTHM employs temporal tokenization to partition each trajectory into daily segments and encode them as discrete tokens with hierarchical attention that captures both daily and weekly dependencies, thereby quadratically reducing the sequence length while preserving cyclical information. Additionally, we enrich token representations by adding pre-computed prompt embeddings for trajectory segments and prediction targets via a frozen LLM, and feeding these combined embeddings back into the LLM backbone to capture complex interdependencies. Computationally, RHYTHM keeps the pretrained LLM backbone frozen, yielding faster training and lower memory usage. We evaluate our model against state-of-the-art methods using three real-world datasets. Notably, RHYTHM achieves a 2.4% improvement in overall accuracy, a 5.0% increase on weekends, and a 24.6% reduction in training time. Code is publicly available at https://github.com/he-h/rhythm.

DicFace: Dirichlet-Constrained Variational Codebook Learning for Temporally Coherent Video Face Restoration

Video face restoration faces a critical challenge in maintaining temporal consistency while recovering fine facial details from degraded inputs. This paper presents a novel approach that extends Vector-Quantized Variational Autoencoders (VQ-VAEs), pretrained on static high-quality portraits, into a video restoration framework through variational latent space modeling. Our key innovation lies in reformulating discrete codebook representations as Dirichlet-distributed continuous variables, enabling probabilistic transitions between facial features across frames. A spatio-temporal Transformer architecture jointly models inter-frame dependencies and predicts latent distributions, while a Laplacian-constrained reconstruction loss combined with perceptual (LPIPS) regularization enhances both pixel accuracy and visual quality. Comprehensive evaluations on blind face restoration, video inpainting, and facial colorization tasks demonstrate state-of-the-art performance. This work establishes an effective paradigm for adapting intensive image priors, pretrained on high-quality images, to video restoration while addressing the critical challenge of flicker artifacts. Pathology Image Restoration via Mixture of Prompts

In digital pathology, acquiring all-in-focus images is essential to high-quality imaging and high-efficient clinical workflow. Traditional scanners achieve this by scanning at multiple focal planes of varying depths and then merging them, which is relatively slow and often struggles with complex tissue defocus. Recent prevailing image restoration technique provides a means to restore high-quality pathology images from scans of single focal planes. However, existing image restoration methods are inadequate, due to intricate defocus patterns in pathology images and their domain-specific semantic complexities. In this work, we devise a two-stage restoration solution cascading a transformer and a diffusion model, to benefit from their powers in preserving image fidelity and perceptual quality, respectively. We particularly propose a novel mixture of prompts for the two-stage solution. Given initial prompt that models defocus in microscopic imaging, we design two prompts that describe the high-level image semantics from pathology foundation model and the fine-grained tissue structures via edge extraction. We demonstrate that, by feeding the prompt mixture to our method, we can restore high-quality pathology images from single-focal-plane scans, implying high potentials of the mixture of prompts to clinical usage. Sharper Error Bounds in Late Fusion Multi-view Clustering Using Eigenvalue Proportion

Multi-view clustering (MVC) aims to integrate complementary information from multiple views to enhance clustering performance. Late Fusion Multi-View Clustering (LFMVC) has shown promise by synthesizing diverse clustering results into a unified consensus. However, current LFMVC methods struggle with noisy and redundant partitions and often fail to capture high-order correlations across views. To address these limitations, we present a novel theoretical framework for analyzing the generalization error bounds of multiple kernel $k$-means, leveraging local Rademacher complexity and principal eigenvalue proportions. Our analysis establishes a convergence rate of $\mathcal{O}(1/n)$, significantly improving upon the existing rate in the order of $\mathcal{O}(\sqrt{k/n})$. Building on this insight, we propose a low-pass graph filtering strategy within a multiple linear $k$-means framework to mitigate noise and redundancy, further refining the principal eigenvalue proportion and enhancing clustering accuracy. Experimental results on benchmark datasets confirm that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods in clustering performance and robustness. Panoptic-FlashOcc: An Efficient Baseline to Marry Semantic Occupancy with Panoptic via Instance Center

Panoptic occupancy poses a novel challenge by aiming to integrate instance occupancy and semantic occupancy within a unified framework. However, there is still a lack of efficient solutions for panoptic occupancy. In this paper, we propose Panoptic-FlashOcc, a straightforward yet robust 2D feature framework that enables realtime panoptic occupancy. Building upon the lightweight design of FlashOcc, our approach simultaneously learns semantic occupancy and class-aware instance clustering in a single network, these outputs are jointly incorporated through panoptic occupancy procession for panoptic occupancy. This approach effectively addresses the drawbacks of high memory and computation requirements associated with three-dimensional voxel-level representations. With its straightforward and efficient design that facilitates easy deployment, Panoptic-FlashOcc demonstrates remarkable achievements in panoptic occupancy prediction. On the Occ3D-nuScenes benchmark, it achieves exceptional performance, with 38.5 RayIoU and 29.1 mIoU for semantic occupancy, operating at a rapid speed of 43.9 FPS. Furthermore, it attains a notable score of 16.0 RayPQ for panoptic occupancy, accompanied by a fast inference speed of 30.2 FPS. These results surpass the performance of existing methodologies in terms of both speed and accuracy. Securing Serverless Computing: Challenges, Solutions, and Opportunities

Serverless computing is a new cloud service model that reduces both cloud providers' and consumers' costs through extremely agile development, operation, and charging mechanisms and has been widely applied since its emergence. Nevertheless, some characteristics of serverless computing, such as fragmented application boundaries, have raised new security challenges. Considerable literature work has been committed to addressing these challenges. Commercial and open-source serverless platforms implement many security measures to enhance serverless environments. This paper presents the first survey of serverless security that considers both literature work and industrial security measures. We summarize the primary security challenges, analyze corresponding solutions from the literature and industry, and identify potential research opportunities. Then, we conduct a gap analysis of the academic and industrial solutions as well as commercial and open-source serverless platforms' security capabilities, and finally, we present a complete picture of current serverless security research.
