Hybrid Transformer with Multi-level Fusion for Multimodal Knowledge Graph CompletionXiang Chen, Ningyu Zhang, Lei Li et al.
Multimodal Knowledge Graphs (MKGs), which organize visual-text factual knowledge, have recently been successfully applied to tasks such as information retrieval, question answering, and recommendation system. Since most MKGs are far from complete, extensive knowledge graph completion studies have been proposed focusing on the multimodal entity, relation extraction and link prediction. However, different tasks and modalities require changes to the model architecture, and not all images/objects are relevant to text input, which hinders the applicability to diverse real-world scenarios. In this paper, we propose a hybrid transformer with multi-level fusion to address those issues. Specifically, we leverage a hybrid transformer architecture with unified input-output for diverse multimodal knowledge graph completion tasks. Moreover, we propose multi-level fusion, which integrates visual and text representation via coarse-grained prefix-guided interaction and fine-grained correlation-aware fusion modules. We conduct extensive experiments to validate that our MKGformer can obtain SOTA performance on four datasets of multimodal link prediction, multimodal RE, and multimodal NER. LightNER: A Lightweight Tuning Paradigm for Low-resource NER via Pluggable PromptingXiang Chen, Lei Li, Shumin Deng et al.
Most NER methods rely on extensive labeled data for model training, which struggles in the low-resource scenarios with limited training data. Existing dominant approaches usually suffer from the challenge that the target domain has different label sets compared with a resource-rich source domain, which can be concluded as class transfer and domain transfer. In this paper, we propose a lightweight tuning paradigm for low-resource NER via pluggable prompting (LightNER). Specifically, we construct the unified learnable verbalizer of entity categories to generate the entity span sequence and entity categories without any label-specific classifiers, thus addressing the class transfer issue. We further propose a pluggable guidance module by incorporating learnable parameters into the self-attention layer as guidance, which can re-modulate the attention and adapt pre-trained weights. Note that we only tune those inserted module with the whole parameter of the pre-trained language model fixed, thus, making our approach lightweight and flexible for low-resource scenarios and can better transfer knowledge across domains. Experimental results show that LightNER can obtain comparable performance in the standard supervised setting and outperform strong baselines in low-resource settings. SoccerDB: A Large-Scale Database for Comprehensive Video UnderstandingYudong Jiang, Kaixu Cui, Leilei Chen et al.
Soccer videos can serve as a perfect research object for video understanding because soccer games are played under well-defined rules while complex and intriguing enough for researchers to study. In this paper, we propose a new soccer video database named SoccerDB, comprising 171,191 video segments from 346 high-quality soccer games. The database contains 702,096 bounding boxes, 37,709 essential event labels with time boundary and 17,115 highlight annotations for object detection, action recognition, temporal action localization, and highlight detection tasks. To our knowledge, it is the largest database for comprehensive sports video understanding on various aspects. We further survey a collection of strong baselines on SoccerDB, which have demonstrated state-of-the-art performances on independent tasks. Our evaluation suggests that we can benefit significantly when jointly considering the inner correlations among those tasks. SkillNet: Create, Evaluate, and Connect AI SkillsYuan Liang, Ruobin Zhong, Haoming Xu et al.
Current AI agents can flexibly invoke tools and execute complex tasks, yet their long-term advancement is hindered by the lack of systematic accumulation and transfer of skills. Without a unified mechanism for skill consolidation, agents frequently ``reinvent the wheel'', rediscovering solutions in isolated contexts without leveraging prior strategies. To overcome this limitation, we introduce SkillNet, an open infrastructure designed to create, evaluate, and organize AI skills at scale. SkillNet structures skills within a unified ontology that supports creating skills from heterogeneous sources, establishing rich relational connections, and performing multi-dimensional evaluation across Safety, Completeness, Executability, Maintainability, and Cost-awareness. Our infrastructure integrates a repository of over 200,000 skills, an interactive platform, and a versatile Python toolkit. Experimental evaluations on ALFWorld, WebShop, and ScienceWorld demonstrate that SkillNet significantly enhances agent performance, improving average rewards by 40% and reducing execution steps by 30% across multiple backbone models. By formalizing skills as evolving, composable assets, SkillNet provides a robust foundation for agents to move from transient experience to durable mastery.

Animation Needs Attention: A Holistic Approach to Slides Animation Comprehension with Visual-Language ModelsYifan Jiang, Yibo Xue, Yukun Kang et al.
Slide animations, such as fade-in, fly-in, and wipe, are critical for audience engagement, efficient information delivery, and vivid visual expression. However, most AI-driven slide-generation tools still lack native animation support, and existing vision-language models (VLMs) struggle with animation tasks due to the absence of public datasets and limited temporal-reasoning capabilities. To address this gap, we release the first public dataset for slide-animation modeling: 12,000 triplets of natural-language descriptions, animation JSON files, and rendered videos, collectively covering every built-in PowerPoint effect. Using this resource, we fine-tune Qwen-2.5-VL-7B with Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) and achieve consistent improvements over GPT-4.1 and Gemini-2.5-Pro in BLEU-4, ROUGE-L, SPICE, and our Coverage-Order-Detail Assessment (CODA) metric, which evaluates action coverage, temporal order, and detail fidelity. On a manually created test set of slides, the LoRA model increases BLEU-4 by around 60%, ROUGE-L by 30%, and shows significant improvements in CODA-detail. This demonstrates that low-rank adaptation enables reliable temporal reasoning and generalization beyond synthetic data. Overall, our dataset, LoRA-enhanced model, and CODA metric provide a rigorous benchmark and foundation for future research on VLM-based dynamic slide generation.

MR-SVS: Singing Voice Synthesis with Multi-Reference EncoderShoutong Wang, Jinglin Liu, Yi Ren et al.
Multi-speaker singing voice synthesis is to generate the singing voice sung by different speakers. To generalize to new speakers, previous zero-shot singing adaptation methods obtain the timbre of the target speaker with a fixed-size embedding from single reference audio. However, they face several challenges: 1) the fixed-size speaker embedding is not powerful enough to capture full details of the target timbre; 2) single reference audio does not contain sufficient timbre information of the target speaker; 3) the pitch inconsistency between different speakers also leads to a degradation in the generated voice. In this paper, we propose a new model called MR-SVS to tackle these problems. Specifically, we employ both a multi-reference encoder and a fixed-size encoder to encode the timbre of the target speaker from multiple reference audios. The Multi-reference encoder can capture more details and variations of the target timbre. Besides, we propose a well-designed pitch shift method to address the pitch inconsistency problem. Experiments indicate that our method outperforms the baseline method both in naturalness and similarity.

Meta-Knowledge Transfer for Inductive Knowledge Graph EmbeddingMingyang Chen, Wen Zhang, Yushan Zhu et al.
Knowledge graphs (KGs) consisting of a large number of triples have become widespread recently, and many knowledge graph embedding (KGE) methods are proposed to embed entities and relations of a KG into continuous vector spaces. Such embedding methods simplify the operations of conducting various in-KG tasks (e.g., link prediction) and out-of-KG tasks (e.g., question answering). They can be viewed as general solutions for representing KGs. However, existing KGE methods are not applicable to inductive settings, where a model trained on source KGs will be tested on target KGs with entities unseen during model training. Existing works focusing on KGs in inductive settings can only solve the inductive relation prediction task. They can not handle other out-of-KG tasks as general as KGE methods since they don't produce embeddings for entities. In this paper, to achieve inductive knowledge graph embedding, we propose a model MorsE, which does not learn embeddings for entities but learns transferable meta-knowledge that can be used to produce entity embeddings. Such meta-knowledge is modeled by entity-independent modules and learned by meta-learning. Experimental results show that our model significantly outperforms corresponding baselines for in-KG and out-of-KG tasks in inductive settings.

WSRGlow: A Glow-based Waveform Generative Model for Audio Super-ResolutionKexun Zhang, Yi Ren, Changliang Xu et al.
Audio super-resolution is the task of constructing a high-resolution (HR) audio from a low-resolution (LR) audio by adding the missing band. Previous methods based on convolutional neural networks and mean squared error training objective have relatively low performance, while adversarial generative models are difficult to train and tune. Recently, normalizing flow has attracted a lot of attention for its high performance, simple training and fast inference. In this paper, we propose WSRGlow, a Glow-based waveform generative model to perform audio super-resolution. Specifically, 1) we integrate WaveNet and Glow to directly maximize the exact likelihood of the target HR audio conditioned on LR information; and 2) to exploit the audio information from low-resolution audio, we propose an LR audio encoder and an STFT encoder, which encode the LR information from the time domain and frequency domain respectively. The experimental results show that the proposed model is easier to train and outperforms the previous works in terms of both objective and perceptual quality. WSRGlow is also the first model to produce 48kHz waveforms from 12kHz LR audio.

Comprehensive Video Understanding: Video summarization with content-based video recommender designYudong Jiang, Kaixu Cui, Bo Peng et al.
Video summarization aims to extract keyframes/shots from a long video. Previous methods mainly take diversity and representativeness of generated summaries as prior knowledge in algorithm design. In this paper, we formulate video summarization as a content-based recommender problem, which should distill the most useful content from a long video for users who suffer from information overload. A scalable deep neural network is proposed on predicting if one video segment is a useful segment for users by explicitly modelling both segment and video. Moreover, we accomplish scene and action recognition in untrimmed videos in order to find more correlations among different aspects of video understanding tasks. Also, our paper will discuss the effect of audio and visual features in summarization task. We also extend our work by data augmentation and multi-task learning for preventing the model from early-stage overfitting. The final results of our model win the first place in ICCV 2019 CoView Workshop Challenge Track.
