WRICNet:A Weighted Rich-scale Inception Coder Network for Multi-Resolution Remote Sensing Image Change DetectionYu Jiang, Lei Hu, Yongmei Zhang et al.
Majority models of remote sensing image changing detection can only get great effect in a specific resolution data set. With the purpose of improving change detection effectiveness of the model in the multi-resolution data set, a weighted rich-scale inception coder network (WRICNet) is proposed in this article, which can make a great fusion of shallow multi-scale features, and deep multi-scale features. The weighted rich-scale inception module of the proposed can obtain shallow multi-scale features, the weighted rich-scale coder module can obtain deep multi-scale features. The weighted scale block assigns appropriate weights to features of different scales, which can strengthen expressive ability of the edge of the changing area. The performance experiments on the multi-resolution data set demonstrate that, compared to the comparative methods, the proposed can further reduce the false alarm outside the change area, and the missed alarm in the change area, besides, the edge of the change area is more accurate. The ablation study of the proposed shows that the training strategy, and improvements of this article can improve the effectiveness of change detection.

Neural Collaborative RankingBo Song, Xin Yang, Yi Cao et al.
Recommender systems are aimed at generating a personalized ranked list of items that an end user might be interested in. With the unprecedented success of deep learning in computer vision and speech recognition, recently it has been a hot topic to bridge the gap between recommender systems and deep neural network. And deep learning methods have been shown to achieve state-of-the-art on many recommendation tasks. For example, a recent model, NeuMF, first projects users and items into some shared low-dimensional latent feature space, and then employs neural nets to model the interaction between the user and item latent features to obtain state-of-the-art performance on the recommendation tasks. NeuMF assumes that the non-interacted items are inherent negative and uses negative sampling to relax this assumption. In this paper, we examine an alternative approach which does not assume that the non-interacted items are necessarily negative, just that they are less preferred than interacted items. Specifically, we develop a new classification strategy based on the widely used pairwise ranking assumption. We combine our classification strategy with the recently proposed neural collaborative filtering framework, and propose a general collaborative ranking framework called Neural Network based Collaborative Ranking (NCR). We resort to a neural network architecture to model a user's pairwise preference between items, with the belief that neural network will effectively capture the latent structure of latent factors. The experimental results on two real-world datasets show the superior performance of our models in comparison with several state-of-the-art approaches.

Neural Compatibility Modeling with Attentive Knowledge DistillationXuemeng Song, Fuli Feng, Xianjing Han et al.
Recently, the booming fashion sector and its huge potential benefits have attracted tremendous attention from many research communities. In particular, increasing research efforts have been dedicated to the complementary clothing matching as matching clothes to make a suitable outfit has become a daily headache for many people, especially those who do not have the sense of aesthetics. Thanks to the remarkable success of neural networks in various applications such as image classification and speech recognition, the researchers are enabled to adopt the data-driven learning methods to analyze fashion items. Nevertheless, existing studies overlook the rich valuable knowledge (rules) accumulated in fashion domain, especially the rules regarding clothing matching. Towards this end, in this work, we shed light on complementary clothing matching by integrating the advanced deep neural networks and the rich fashion domain knowledge. Considering that the rules can be fuzzy and different rules may have different confidence levels to different samples, we present a neural compatibility modeling scheme with attentive knowledge distillation based on the teacher-student network scheme. Extensive experiments on the real-world dataset show the superiority of our model over several state-of-the-art baselines. Based upon the comparisons, we observe certain fashion insights that add value to the fashion matching study. As a byproduct, we released the codes, and involved parameters to benefit other researchers.
