Quantum computing promises to enhance machine learning and artificial intelligence. Different quantum algorithms have been proposed to improve a wide spectrum of machine learning tasks. Yet, recent theoretical works show that, similar to traditional classifiers based on deep classical neural networks, quantum classifiers would suffer from the vulnerability problem: adding tiny carefully-crafted perturbations to the legitimate original data samples would facilitate incorrect predictions at a notably high confidence level. This will pose serious problems for future quantum machine learning applications in safety and security-critical scenarios. Here, we report the first experimental demonstration of quantum adversarial learning with programmable superconducting qubits. We train quantum classifiers, which are built upon variational quantum circuits consisting of ten transmon qubits featuring average lifetimes of 150 $μ$s, and average fidelities of simultaneous single- and two-qubit gates above 99.94% and 99.4% respectively, with both real-life images (e.g., medical magnetic resonance imaging scans) and quantum data. We demonstrate that these well-trained classifiers (with testing accuracy up to 99%) can be practically deceived by small adversarial perturbations, whereas an adversarial training process would significantly enhance their robustness to such perturbations. Our results reveal experimentally a crucial vulnerability aspect of quantum learning systems under adversarial scenarios and demonstrate an effective defense strategy against adversarial attacks, which provide a valuable guide for quantum artificial intelligence applications with both near-term and future quantum devices.

Seedance 2.0 is a new native multi-modal audio-video generation model, officially released in China in early February 2026. Compared with its predecessors, Seedance 1.0 and 1.5 Pro, Seedance 2.0 adopts a unified, highly efficient, and large-scale architecture for multi-modal audio-video joint generation. This allows it to support four input modalities: text, image, audio, and video, by integrating one of the most comprehensive suites of multi-modal content reference and editing capabilities available in the industry to date. It delivers substantial, well-rounded improvements across all key sub-dimensions of video and audio generation. In both expert evaluations and public user tests, the model has demonstrated performance on par with the leading levels in the field. Seedance 2.0 supports direct generation of audio-video content with durations ranging from 4 to 15 seconds, with native output resolutions of 480p and 720p. For multi-modal inputs as reference, its current open platform supports up to 3 video clips, 9 images, and 3 audio clips. In addition, we provide Seedance 2.0 Fast version, an accelerated variant of Seedance 2.0 designed to boost generation speed for low-latency scenarios. Seedance 2.0 has delivered significant improvements to its foundational generation capabilities and multi-modal generation performance, bringing an enhanced creative experience for end users.

Sector Patch Embedding: An Embedding Module Conforming to The Distortion Pattern of Fisheye ImageDianyi Yang, Jiadong Tang, Yu Gao et al.
Fisheye cameras suffer from image distortion while having a large field of view(LFOV). And this fact leads to poor performance on some fisheye vision tasks. One of the solutions is to optimize the current vision algorithm for fisheye images. However, most of the CNN-based methods and the Transformer-based methods lack the capability of leveraging distortion information efficiently. In this work, we propose a novel patch embedding method called Sector Patch Embedding(SPE), conforming to the distortion pattern of the fisheye image. Furthermore, we put forward a synthetic fisheye dataset based on the ImageNet-1K and explore the performance of several Transformer models on the dataset. The classification top-1 accuracy of ViT and PVT is improved by 0.75% and 2.8% with SPE respectively. The experiments show that the proposed sector patch embedding method can better perceive distortion and extract features on the fisheye images. DR-WLC: Dimensionality Reduction cognition for object detection and pose estimation by Watching, Learning and CheckingYu Gao, Xi Xu, Tianji Jiang et al.
Object detection and pose estimation are difficult tasks in robotics and autonomous driving. Existing object detection and pose estimation methods mostly adopt the same-dimensional data for training. For example, 2D object detection usually requires a large amount of 2D annotation data with high cost. Using high-dimensional information to supervise lower-dimensional tasks is a feasible way to reduce datasets size. In this work, the DR-WLC, a dimensionality reduction cognitive model, which can perform both object detection and pose estimation tasks at the same time is proposed. The model only requires 3D model of objects and unlabeled environment images (with or without objects) to finish the training. In addition, a bounding boxes generation strategy is also proposed to build the relationship between 3D model and 2D object detection task. Variance-Preserving-Based Interpolation Diffusion Models for Speech EnhancementZilu Guo, Jun Du, Chin-Hui Lee et al.
The goal of this study is to implement diffusion models for speech enhancement (SE). The first step is to emphasize the theoretical foundation of variance-preserving (VP)-based interpolation diffusion under continuous conditions. Subsequently, we present a more concise framework that encapsulates both the VP- and variance-exploding (VE)-based interpolation diffusion methods. We demonstrate that these two methods are special cases of the proposed framework. Additionally, we provide a practical example of VP-based interpolation diffusion for the SE task. To improve performance and ease model training, we analyze the common difficulties encountered in diffusion models and suggest amenable hyper-parameters. Finally, we evaluate our model against several methods using a public benchmark to showcase the effectiveness of our approach

MC-NeRF: Multi-Camera Neural Radiance Fields for Multi-Camera Image Acquisition SystemsYu Gao, Lutong Su, Hao Liang et al.
Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) use multi-view images for 3D scene representation, demonstrating remarkable performance. As one of the primary sources of multi-view images, multi-camera systems encounter challenges such as varying intrinsic parameters and frequent pose changes. Most previous NeRF-based methods assume a unique camera and rarely consider multi-camera scenarios. Besides, some NeRF methods that can optimize intrinsic and extrinsic parameters still remain susceptible to suboptimal solutions when these parameters are poor initialized. In this paper, we propose MC-NeRF, a method that enables joint optimization of both intrinsic and extrinsic parameters alongside NeRF. The method also supports each image corresponding to independent camera parameters. First, we tackle coupling issue and the degenerate case that arise from the joint optimization between intrinsic and extrinsic parameters. Second, based on the proposed solutions, we introduce an efficient calibration image acquisition scheme for multi-camera systems, including the design of calibration object. Finally, we present an end-to-end network with training sequence that enables the estimation of intrinsic and extrinsic parameters, along with the rendering network. Furthermore, recognizing that most existing datasets are designed for a unique camera, we construct a real multi-camera image acquisition system and create a corresponding new dataset, which includes both simulated data and real-world captured images. Experiments confirm the effectiveness of our method when each image corresponds to different camera parameters. Specifically, we use multi-cameras, each with different intrinsic and extrinsic parameters in real-world system, to achieve 3D scene representation without providing initial poses.

Towards Faster Graph Partitioning via Pre-training and Inductive InferenceMeng Qin, Chaorui Zhang, Yu Gao et al.
Graph partitioning (GP) is a classic problem that divides the node set of a graph into densely-connected blocks. Following the IEEE HPEC Graph Challenge and recent advances in pre-training techniques (e.g., large-language models), we propose PR-GPT (Pre-trained & Refined Graph ParTitioning) based on a novel pre-training & refinement paradigm. We first conduct the offline pre-training of a deep graph learning (DGL) model on small synthetic graphs with various topology properties. By using the inductive inference of DGL, one can directly generalize the pre-trained model (with frozen model parameters) to large graphs and derive feasible GP results. We also use the derived partition as a good initialization of an efficient GP method (e.g., InfoMap) to further refine the quality of partitioning. In this setting, the online generalization and refinement of PR-GPT can not only benefit from the transfer ability regarding quality but also ensure high inference efficiency without re-training. Based on a mechanism of reducing the scale of a graph to be processed by the refinement method, PR-GPT also has the potential to support streaming GP. Experiments on the Graph Challenge benchmark demonstrate that PR-GPT can ensure faster GP on large-scale graphs without significant quality degradation, compared with running a refinement method from scratch. MetaFood CVPR 2024 Challenge on Physically Informed 3D Food Reconstruction: Methods and ResultsJiangpeng He, Yuhao Chen, Gautham Vinod et al.
The increasing interest in computer vision applications for nutrition and dietary monitoring has led to the development of advanced 3D reconstruction techniques for food items. However, the scarcity of high-quality data and limited collaboration between industry and academia have constrained progress in this field. Building on recent advancements in 3D reconstruction, we host the MetaFood Workshop and its challenge for Physically Informed 3D Food Reconstruction. This challenge focuses on reconstructing volume-accurate 3D models of food items from 2D images, using a visible checkerboard as a size reference. Participants were tasked with reconstructing 3D models for 20 selected food items of varying difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard. The easy level provides 200 images, the medium level provides 30 images, and the hard level provides only 1 image for reconstruction. In total, 16 teams submitted results in the final testing phase. The solutions developed in this challenge achieved promising results in 3D food reconstruction, with significant potential for improving portion estimation for dietary assessment and nutritional monitoring. FilterGS: Traversal-Free Parallel Filtering and Adaptive Shrinking for Large-Scale LoD 3D Gaussian SplattingYixian Wang, Haolin Yu, Jiadong Tang et al.
3D Gaussian Splatting has revolutionized neural rendering with real-time performance. However, scaling this approach to large scenes using Level-of-Detail methods faces critical challenges: inefficient serial traversal consuming over 60\% of rendering time, and redundant Gaussian-tile pairs that incur unnecessary processing overhead. To address these limitations, we introduce FilterGS, featuring a parallel filtering mechanism with two complementary filters that select Gaussian elements efficiently without tree traversal. Additionally, we propose a novel GTC metric that quantifies the redundancy of Gaussian-tile key-value pairs. Based on this metric, we introduce a scene-adaptive Gaussian shrinking strategy that effectively reduces redundant pairs. Extensive experiments demonstrate that FilterGS achieves state-of-the-art rendering speeds while maintaining competitive visual quality across multiple large-scale datasets. Accurate Leukocyte Detection Based on Deformable-DETR and Multi-Level Feature Fusion for Aiding Diagnosis of Blood DiseasesYifei Chen, Chenyan Zhang, Ben Chen et al.
In standard hospital blood tests, the traditional process requires doctors to manually isolate leukocytes from microscopic images of patients' blood using microscopes. These isolated leukocytes are then categorized via automatic leukocyte classifiers to determine the proportion and volume of different types of leukocytes present in the blood samples, aiding disease diagnosis. This methodology is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive, but it also has a high propensity for errors due to factors such as image quality and environmental conditions, which could potentially lead to incorrect subsequent classifications and misdiagnosis. To address these issues, this paper proposes an innovative method of leukocyte detection: the Multi-level Feature Fusion and Deformable Self-attention DETR (MFDS-DETR). To tackle the issue of leukocyte scale disparity, we designed the High-level Screening-feature Fusion Pyramid (HS-FPN), enabling multi-level fusion. This model uses high-level features as weights to filter low-level feature information via a channel attention module and then merges the screened information with the high-level features, thus enhancing the model's feature expression capability. Further, we address the issue of leukocyte feature scarcity by incorporating a multi-scale deformable self-attention module in the encoder and using the self-attention and cross-deformable attention mechanisms in the decoder, which aids in the extraction of the global features of the leukocyte feature maps. The effectiveness, superiority, and generalizability of the proposed MFDS-DETR method are confirmed through comparisons with other cutting-edge leukocyte detection models using the private WBCDD, public LISC and BCCD datasets. The MiniMax-M2 Series: Mini Activations Unleashing Max Real-World IntelligenceMiniMax, Aili Chen, Aonian Li et al.
We introduce the MiniMax-M2 series, a family of Mixture-of-Experts language models built around the principle that mini activations can unleash maximum real-world intelligence. The flagship M2 contains 229.9B total parameters with only 9.8B activated per token. Designed end-to-end for agentic deployment, the M2 series rests on three components: (i) agent-driven data pipelines producing large-scale, verifiable trajectories across agentic coding and agentic cowork, each grounded in an executable workspace and an artifact-aligned reward; (ii) Forge, a scalable agent-native RL system that adapts to long-horizon agent trajectories, paired with windowed-FIFO scheduling, prefix-tree merging, inference optimization, and a clean training-inference-agent decoupling that supports both white-box and black-box agents; (iii) the latest M2.7 checkpoint takes an early step toward self-evolution -- autonomously debugging training runs and modifying its own scaffold. Across M2 through M2.7, this combination translates a mini-activation footprint into frontier-tier performance on agentic coding, deep search, office-task, and reasoning benchmarks.

LaDy: Lagrangian-Dynamic Informed Network for Skeleton-based Action Segmentation via Spatial-Temporal ModulationHaoyu Ji, Xueting Liu, Yu Gao et al.
Skeleton-based Temporal Action Segmentation (STAS) aims to densely parse untrimmed skeletal sequences into frame-level action categories. However, existing methods, while proficient at capturing spatio-temporal kinematics, neglect the underlying physical dynamics that govern human motion. This oversight limits inter-class discriminability between actions with similar kinematics but distinct dynamic intents, and hinders precise boundary localization where dynamic force profiles shift. To address these, we propose the Lagrangian-Dynamic Informed Network (LaDy), a framework integrating principles of Lagrangian dynamics into the segmentation process. Specifically, LaDy first computes generalized coordinates from joint positions and then estimates Lagrangian terms under physical constraints to explicitly synthesize the generalized forces. To further ensure physical coherence, our Energy Consistency Loss enforces the work-energy theorem, aligning kinetic energy change with the work done by the net force. The learned dynamics then drive a Spatio-Temporal Modulation module: Spatially, generalized forces are fused with spatial representations to provide more discriminative semantics. Temporally, salient dynamic signals are constructed for temporal gating, thereby significantly enhancing boundary awareness. Experiments on challenging datasets show that LaDy achieves state-of-the-art performance, validating the integration of physical dynamics for action segmentation. Spectral Scalpel: Amplifying Adjacent Action Discrepancy via Frequency-Selective Filtering for Skeleton-Based Action SegmentationHaoyu Ji, Bowen Chen, Zhihao Yang et al.
Skeleton-based Temporal Action Segmentation (STAS) seeks to densely segment and classify diverse actions within long, untrimmed skeletal motion sequences. However, existing STAS methodologies face challenges of limited inter-class discriminability and blurred segmentation boundaries, primarily due to insufficient distinction of spatio-temporal patterns between adjacent actions. To address these limitations, we propose Spectral Scalpel, a frequency-selective filtering framework aimed at suppressing shared frequency components between adjacent distinct actions while amplifying their action-specific frequencies, thereby enhancing inter-action discrepancies and sharpening transition boundaries. Specifically, Spectral Scalpel employs adaptive multi-scale spectral filters as scalpels to edit frequency spectra, coupled with a discrepancy loss between adjacent actions serving as the surgical objective. This design amplifies representational disparities between neighboring actions, effectively mitigating boundary localization ambiguities and inter-class confusion. Furthermore, complementing long-term temporal modeling, we introduce a frequency-aware channel mixer to strengthen channel evolution by aggregating spectra across channels. This work presents a novel paradigm for STAS that extends conventional spatio-temporal modeling by incorporating frequency-domain analysis. CRRS: Concentric Rectangles Regression Strategy for Multi-point Representation on Fisheye ImagesXihan Wang, Xi Xu, Yu Gao et al.
Modern object detectors take advantage of rectangular bounding boxes as a conventional way to represent objects. When it comes to fisheye images, rectangular boxes involve more background noise rather than semantic information. Although multi-point representation has been proposed, both the regression accuracy and convergence still perform inferior to the widely used rectangular boxes. In order to further exploit the advantages of multi-point representation for distorted images, Concentric Rectangles Regression Strategy(CRRS) is proposed in this work. We adopt smoother mean loss to allocate weights and discuss the effect of hyper-parameter to prediction results. Moreover, an accurate pixel-level method is designed to obtain irregular IoU for estimating detector performance. Compared with the previous work for muti-point representation, the experiments show that CRRS can improve the training performance both in accurate and stability. We also prove that multi-task weighting strategy facilitates regression process in this design.

MiniMax-M1: Scaling Test-Time Compute Efficiently with Lightning AttentionMiniMax, Aili Chen, Aonian Li et al.
We introduce MiniMax-M1, the world's first open-weight, large-scale hybrid-attention reasoning model. MiniMax-M1 is powered by a hybrid Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture combined with a lightning attention mechanism. The model is developed based on our previous MiniMax-Text-01 model, which contains a total of 456 billion parameters with 45.9 billion parameters activated per token. The M1 model natively supports a context length of 1 million tokens, 8x the context size of DeepSeek R1. Furthermore, the lightning attention mechanism in MiniMax-M1 enables efficient scaling of test-time compute. These properties make M1 particularly suitable for complex tasks that require processing long inputs and thinking extensively. MiniMax-M1 is trained using large-scale reinforcement learning (RL) on diverse problems including sandbox-based, real-world software engineering environments. In addition to M1's inherent efficiency advantage for RL training, we propose CISPO, a novel RL algorithm to further enhance RL efficiency. CISPO clips importance sampling weights rather than token updates, outperforming other competitive RL variants. Combining hybrid-attention and CISPO enables MiniMax-M1's full RL training on 512 H800 GPUs to complete in only three weeks, with a rental cost of just $534,700. We release two versions of MiniMax-M1 models with 40K and 80K thinking budgets respectively, where the 40K model represents an intermediate phase of the 80K training. Experiments on standard benchmarks show that our models are comparable or superior to strong open-weight models such as the original DeepSeek-R1 and Qwen3-235B, with particular strengths in complex software engineering, tool utilization, and long-context tasks. UniGRPO: Unified Policy Optimization for Reasoning-Driven Visual GenerationJie Liu, Zilyu Ye, Linxiao Yuan et al.
Unified models capable of interleaved generation have emerged as a promising paradigm, with the community increasingly converging on autoregressive modeling for text and flow matching for image generation. To advance this direction, we propose a unified reinforcement learning framework tailored for interleaved generation. We validate our approach on its fundamental unit: a single round of reasoning-driven image generation, where the model first expands the user prompt through reasoning, followed by image synthesis. Formulating this multimodal generation process as a Markov Decision Process with sparse terminal rewards, we introduce UniGRPO to jointly optimize text and image generation policies using GRPO. Adopting a minimalist methodology to avoid over-design, we leverage established training recipes for both modalities by seamlessly integrating standard GRPO for reasoning and FlowGRPO for visual synthesis. To ensure scalability to multi-round interleaved generation, we introduce two critical modifications to the original FlowGRPO: (1) eliminating classifier-free guidance to maintain linear, unbranched rollouts, which is essential for scaling to complex scenarios involving multi-turn interactions and multi-condition generation (e.g., editing); and (2) replacing the standard latent KL penalty with an MSE penalty directly on the velocity fields, providing a more robust and direct regularization signal to mitigate reward hacking effectively. Our experiments demonstrate that this unified training recipe significantly enhances image generation quality through reasoning, providing a robust and scalable baseline for the future post-training of fully interleaved models.

RISE: Rule-Driven SQL Dialect Translation via Query ReductionXudong Xie, Yuwei Zhang, Wensheng Dou et al.
Translating SQL dialects across different relational database management systems (RDBMSs) is crucial for migrating RDBMS-based applications to the cloud. Traditional SQL dialect translation tools rely on manually-crafted rules, necessitating significant manual effort to support new RDBMSs and dialects. Although large language models (LLMs) can assist in translating SQL dialects, they often struggle with lengthy and complex SQL queries. In this paper, we propose RISE, a novel LLM-based SQL dialect translation approach that can accurately handle lengthy and complex SQL queries. Given a complex source query $Q_c$ that contains a SQL dialect $d$, we first employ a dialect-aware query reduction technique to derive a simplified query $Q_{s}$ by removing $d$-irrelevant SQL elements from $Q_c$. Subsequently, we utilize LLMs to translate $Q_{s}$ into $Q_{s^{'}}$, and automatically extract the translation rule $r_d$ for dialect $d$ based on the relationship between $Q_{s}$ and $Q_{s^{'}}$. By applying $r_d$ to $Q_c$, we can effectively translate the dialect $d$ within $Q_c$, thereby bypassing the complexity of the source query $Q_c$. We evaluate RISE on two real-world benchmarks, i.e., TPC-DS and SQLProcBench, comparing its performance against both the traditional rule-based tools and the LLM-based approaches with respect to translation accuracy. RISE achieves accuracies of 97.98% on TPC-DS and 100% on SQLProcBench, outperforming the baselines by an average improvement of 24.62% and 238.41%, respectively.

MRStyle: A Unified Framework for Color Style Transfer with Multi-Modality ReferenceJiancheng Huang, Yu Gao, Zequn Jie et al.
In this paper, we introduce MRStyle, a comprehensive framework that enables color style transfer using multi-modality reference, including image and text. To achieve a unified style feature space for both modalities, we first develop a neural network called IRStyle, which generates stylized 3D lookup tables for image reference. This is accomplished by integrating an interaction dual-mapping network with a combined supervised learning pipeline, resulting in three key benefits: elimination of visual artifacts, efficient handling of high-resolution images with low memory usage, and maintenance of style consistency even in situations with significant color style variations. For text reference, we align the text feature of stable diffusion priors with the style feature of our IRStyle to perform text-guided color style transfer (TRStyle). Our TRStyle method is highly efficient in both training and inference, producing notable open-set text-guided transfer results. Extensive experiments in both image and text settings demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations.

DiffSemanticFusion: Semantic Raster BEV Fusion for Autonomous Driving via Online HD Map DiffusionZhigang Sun, Yiru Wang, Anqing Jiang et al.
Autonomous driving requires accurate scene understanding, including road geometry, traffic agents, and their semantic relationships. In online HD map generation scenarios, raster-based representations are well-suited to vision models but lack geometric precision, while graph-based representations retain structural detail but become unstable without precise maps. To harness the complementary strengths of both, we propose DiffSemanticFusion -- a fusion framework for multimodal trajectory prediction and planning. Our approach reasons over a semantic raster-fused BEV space, enhanced by a map diffusion module that improves both the stability and expressiveness of online HD map representations. We validate our framework on two downstream tasks: trajectory prediction and planning-oriented end-to-end autonomous driving. Experiments on real-world autonomous driving benchmarks, nuScenes and NAVSIM, demonstrate improved performance over several state-of-the-art methods. For the prediction task on nuScenes, we integrate DiffSemanticFusion with the online HD map informed QCNet, achieving a 5.1\% performance improvement. For end-to-end autonomous driving in NAVSIM, DiffSemanticFusion achieves state-of-the-art results, with a 15\% performance gain in NavHard scenarios. In addition, extensive ablation and sensitivity studies show that our map diffusion module can be seamlessly integrated into other vector-based approaches to enhance performance. Diffusion models have recently achieved outstanding results in the field of image super-resolution. These methods typically inject low-resolution (LR) images via ControlNet.In this paper, we first explore the temporal dynamics of information infusion through ControlNet, revealing that the input from LR images predominantly influences the initial stages of the denoising process. Leveraging this insight, we introduce a novel timestep-aware diffusion model that adaptively integrates features from both ControlNet and the pre-trained Stable Diffusion (SD). Our method enhances the transmission of LR information in the early stages of diffusion to guarantee image fidelity and stimulates the generation ability of the SD model itself more in the later stages to enhance the detail of generated images. To train this method, we propose a timestep-aware training strategy that adopts distinct losses at varying timesteps and acts on disparate modules. RFSR: Improving ISR Diffusion Models via Reward Feedback LearningXiaopeng Sun, Qinwei Lin, Yu Gao et al.
Generative diffusion models (DM) have been extensively utilized in image super-resolution (ISR). Most of the existing methods adopt the denoising loss from DDPMs for model optimization. We posit that introducing reward feedback learning to finetune the existing models can further improve the quality of the generated images. In this paper, we propose a timestep-aware training strategy with reward feedback learning. Specifically, in the initial denoising stages of ISR diffusion, we apply low-frequency constraints to super-resolution (SR) images to maintain structural stability. In the later denoising stages, we use reward feedback learning to improve the perceptual and aesthetic quality of the SR images. In addition, we incorporate Gram-KL regularization to alleviate stylization caused by reward hacking. Our method can be integrated into any diffusion-based ISR model in a plug-and-play manner. Experiments show that ISR diffusion models, when fine-tuned with our method, significantly improve the perceptual and aesthetic quality of SR images, achieving excellent subjective results. SutureAgent: Learning Surgical Trajectories via Goal-conditioned Offline RL in Pixel SpaceHuanrong Liu, Chunlin Tian, Tongyu Jia et al.
Predicting surgical needle trajectories from endoscopic video is critical for robot-assisted suturing, enabling anticipatory planning, real-time guidance, and safer motion execution. Existing methods that directly learn motion distributions from visual observations tend to overlook the sequential dependency among adjacent motion steps. Moreover, sparse waypoint annotations often fail to provide sufficient supervision, further increasing the difficulty of supervised or imitation learning methods. To address these challenges, we formulate image-based needle trajectory prediction as a sequential decision-making problem, in which the needle tip is treated as an agent that moves step by step in pixel space. This formulation naturally captures the continuity of needle motion and enables the explicit modeling of physically plausible pixel-wise state transitions over time. From this perspective, we propose SutureAgent, a goal-conditioned offline reinforcement learning framework that leverages sparse annotations to dense reward signals via cubic spline interpolation, encouraging the policy to exploit limited expert guidance while exploring plausible future motion paths. SutureAgent encodes variable-length clips using an observation encoder to capture both local spatial cues and long-range temporal dynamics, and autoregressively predicts future waypoints through actions composed of discrete directions and continuous magnitudes. To enable stable offline policy optimization from expert demonstrations, we adopt Conservative Q-Learning with Behavioral Cloning regularization. Experiments on a new kidney wound suturing dataset containing 1,158 trajectories from 50 patients show that SutureAgent reduces Average Displacement Error by 58.6% compared with the strongest baseline, demonstrating the effectiveness of modeling needle trajectory prediction as pixel-level sequential action learning.

OpenGS-Fusion: Open-Vocabulary Dense Mapping with Hybrid 3D Gaussian Splatting for Refined Object-Level UnderstandingDianyi Yang, Xihan Wang, Yu Gao et al.
Recent advancements in 3D scene understanding have made significant strides in enabling interaction with scenes using open-vocabulary queries, particularly for VR/AR and robotic applications. Nevertheless, existing methods are hindered by rigid offline pipelines and the inability to provide precise 3D object-level understanding given open-ended queries. In this paper, we present OpenGS-Fusion, an innovative open-vocabulary dense mapping framework that improves semantic modeling and refines object-level understanding. OpenGS-Fusion combines 3D Gaussian representation with a Truncated Signed Distance Field to facilitate lossless fusion of semantic features on-the-fly. Furthermore, we introduce a novel multimodal language-guided approach named MLLM-Assisted Adaptive Thresholding, which refines the segmentation of 3D objects by adaptively adjusting similarity thresholds, achieving an improvement 17\% in 3D mIoU compared to the fixed threshold strategy. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms existing methods in 3D object understanding and scene reconstruction quality, as well as showcasing its effectiveness in language-guided scene interaction. SCKansformer: Fine-Grained Classification of Bone Marrow Cells via Kansformer Backbone and Hierarchical Attention MechanismsYifei Chen, Zhu Zhu, Shenghao Zhu et al.
The incidence and mortality rates of malignant tumors, such as acute leukemia, have risen significantly. Clinically, hospitals rely on cytological examination of peripheral blood and bone marrow smears to diagnose malignant tumors, with accurate blood cell counting being crucial. Existing automated methods face challenges such as low feature expression capability, poor interpretability, and redundant feature extraction when processing high-dimensional microimage data. We propose a novel fine-grained classification model, SCKansformer, for bone marrow blood cells, which addresses these challenges and enhances classification accuracy and efficiency. The model integrates the Kansformer Encoder, SCConv Encoder, and Global-Local Attention Encoder. The Kansformer Encoder replaces the traditional MLP layer with the KAN, improving nonlinear feature representation and interpretability. The SCConv Encoder, with its Spatial and Channel Reconstruction Units, enhances feature representation and reduces redundancy. The Global-Local Attention Encoder combines Multi-head Self-Attention with a Local Part module to capture both global and local features. We validated our model using the Bone Marrow Blood Cell Fine-Grained Classification Dataset (BMCD-FGCD), comprising over 10,000 samples and nearly 40 classifications, developed with a partner hospital. Comparative experiments on our private dataset, as well as the publicly available PBC and ALL-IDB datasets, demonstrate that SCKansformer outperforms both typical and advanced microcell classification methods across all datasets. TOOD: Task-aligned One-stage Object DetectionChengjian Feng, Yujie Zhong, Yu Gao et al.
One-stage object detection is commonly implemented by optimizing two sub-tasks: object classification and localization, using heads with two parallel branches, which might lead to a certain level of spatial misalignment in predictions between the two tasks. In this work, we propose a Task-aligned One-stage Object Detection (TOOD) that explicitly aligns the two tasks in a learning-based manner. First, we design a novel Task-aligned Head (T-Head) which offers a better balance between learning task-interactive and task-specific features, as well as a greater flexibility to learn the alignment via a task-aligned predictor. Second, we propose Task Alignment Learning (TAL) to explicitly pull closer (or even unify) the optimal anchors for the two tasks during training via a designed sample assignment scheme and a task-aligned loss. Extensive experiments are conducted on MS-COCO, where TOOD achieves a 51.1 AP at single-model single-scale testing. This surpasses the recent one-stage detectors by a large margin, such as ATSS (47.7 AP), GFL (48.2 AP), and PAA (49.0 AP), with fewer parameters and FLOPs. DanceGRPO: Unleashing GRPO on Visual GenerationZeyue Xue, Jie Wu, Yu Gao et al.
Recent advances in generative AI have revolutionized visual content creation, yet aligning model outputs with human preferences remains a critical challenge. While Reinforcement Learning (RL) has emerged as a promising approach for fine-tuning generative models, existing methods like DDPO and DPOK face fundamental limitations - particularly their inability to maintain stable optimization when scaling to large and diverse prompt sets, severely restricting their practical utility. This paper presents DanceGRPO, a framework that addresses these limitations through an innovative adaptation of Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) for visual generation tasks. Our key insight is that GRPO's inherent stability mechanisms uniquely position it to overcome the optimization challenges that plague prior RL-based approaches on visual generation. DanceGRPO establishes several significant advances: First, it demonstrates consistent and stable policy optimization across multiple modern generative paradigms, including both diffusion models and rectified flows. Second, it maintains robust performance when scaling to complex, real-world scenarios encompassing three key tasks and four foundation models. Third, it shows remarkable versatility in optimizing for diverse human preferences as captured by five distinct reward models assessing image/video aesthetics, text-image alignment, video motion quality, and binary feedback. Our comprehensive experiments reveal that DanceGRPO outperforms baseline methods by up to 181\% across multiple established benchmarks, including HPS-v2.1, CLIP Score, VideoAlign, and GenEval. Our results establish DanceGRPO as a robust and versatile solution for scaling Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) tasks in visual generation, offering new insights into harmonizing reinforcement learning and visual synthesis.

GRAB: An LLM-Inspired Sequence-First Click-Through Rate Prediction Modeling ParadigmShaopeng Chen, Chuyue Xie, Huimin Ren et al.
Traditional Deep Learning Recommendation Models (DLRMs) face increasing bottlenecks in performance and efficiency, often struggling with generalization and long-sequence modeling. Inspired by the scaling success of Large Language Models (LLMs), we propose Generative Ranking for Ads at Baidu (GRAB), an end-to-end generative framework for Click-Through Rate (CTR) prediction. GRAB integrates a novel Causal Action-aware Multi-channel Attention (CamA) mechanism to effectively capture temporal dynamics and specific action signals within user behavior sequences. Full-scale online deployment demonstrates that GRAB significantly outperforms established DLRMs, delivering a 3.05% increase in revenue and a 3.49% rise in CTR. Furthermore, the model demonstrates desirable scaling behavior: its expressive power shows a monotonic and approximately linear improvement as longer interaction sequences are utilized.

We present Seedream 3.0, a high-performance Chinese-English bilingual image generation foundation model. We develop several technical improvements to address existing challenges in Seedream 2.0, including alignment with complicated prompts, fine-grained typography generation, suboptimal visual aesthetics and fidelity, and limited image resolutions. Specifically, the advancements of Seedream 3.0 stem from improvements across the entire pipeline, from data construction to model deployment. At the data stratum, we double the dataset using a defect-aware training paradigm and a dual-axis collaborative data-sampling framework. Furthermore, we adopt several effective techniques such as mixed-resolution training, cross-modality RoPE, representation alignment loss, and resolution-aware timestep sampling in the pre-training phase. During the post-training stage, we utilize diversified aesthetic captions in SFT, and a VLM-based reward model with scaling, thereby achieving outputs that well align with human preferences. Furthermore, Seedream 3.0 pioneers a novel acceleration paradigm. By employing consistent noise expectation and importance-aware timestep sampling, we achieve a 4 to 8 times speedup while maintaining image quality. Seedream 3.0 demonstrates significant improvements over Seedream 2.0: it enhances overall capabilities, in particular for text-rendering in complicated Chinese characters which is important to professional typography generation. In addition, it provides native high-resolution output (up to 2K), allowing it to generate images with high visual quality.

This paper reviews the NTIRE 2024 low light image enhancement challenge, highlighting the proposed solutions and results. The aim of this challenge is to discover an effective network design or solution capable of generating brighter, clearer, and visually appealing results when dealing with a variety of conditions, including ultra-high resolution (4K and beyond), non-uniform illumination, backlighting, extreme darkness, and night scenes. A notable total of 428 participants registered for the challenge, with 22 teams ultimately making valid submissions. This paper meticulously evaluates the state-of-the-art advancements in enhancing low-light images, reflecting the significant progress and creativity in this field.

Seedance 1.0: Exploring the Boundaries of Video Generation ModelsYu Gao, Haoyuan Guo, Tuyen Hoang et al.
Notable breakthroughs in diffusion modeling have propelled rapid improvements in video generation, yet current foundational model still face critical challenges in simultaneously balancing prompt following, motion plausibility, and visual quality. In this report, we introduce Seedance 1.0, a high-performance and inference-efficient video foundation generation model that integrates several core technical improvements: (i) multi-source data curation augmented with precision and meaningful video captioning, enabling comprehensive learning across diverse scenarios; (ii) an efficient architecture design with proposed training paradigm, which allows for natively supporting multi-shot generation and jointly learning of both text-to-video and image-to-video tasks. (iii) carefully-optimized post-training approaches leveraging fine-grained supervised fine-tuning, and video-specific RLHF with multi-dimensional reward mechanisms for comprehensive performance improvements; (iv) excellent model acceleration achieving ~10x inference speedup through multi-stage distillation strategies and system-level optimizations. Seedance 1.0 can generate a 5-second video at 1080p resolution only with 41.4 seconds (NVIDIA-L20). Compared to state-of-the-art video generation models, Seedance 1.0 stands out with high-quality and fast video generation having superior spatiotemporal fluidity with structural stability, precise instruction adherence in complex multi-subject contexts, native multi-shot narrative coherence with consistent subject representation.

Trust Your Memory: Verifiable Control of Smart Homes through Reinforcement Learning with Multi-dimensional RewardsKai-Yuan Guo, Jiang Wang, Renjie Zhao et al.
Large Language Models (LLMs) have become a key foundation for enabling personalized smart home experiences. While existing studies have explored how smart home assistants understand user queries to control devices in real time, their ability to perform memory-driven device control remains challenging from both evaluation and methodological perspectives. In terms of evaluation, existing benchmarks either focus on immediate device control or general open-domain memory retrieval tasks, and therefore cannot effectively evaluate a model's ability to perform memory-driven device control. Methodologically, while memory-driven device control can be approached using Reinforcement Learning, conventional RL methods generally rely on outcome-based supervision (i.e., whether the final task is achieved). This lack of intermediate feedback can lead to sub-optimal performance or local failures in fine-grained memory management tasks (adding, updating, deleting, and utilizing). To address these issues, we first release MemHomeLife, built from anonymized real-world long-term user interaction logs. To enable more fine-grained evaluation of different memory-related subtasks, we further construct MemHome, the first benchmark designed to systematically evaluate memory-driven device control in smart home scenarios.

Fine-Grained Action Segmentation for Renorrhaphy in Robot-Assisted Partial NephrectomyJiaheng Dai, Huanrong Liu, Tailai Zhou et al.
Fine-grained action segmentation during renorrhaphy in robot-assisted partial nephrectomy requires frame-level recognition of visually similar suturing gestures with variable duration and substantial class imbalance. The SIA-RAPN benchmark defines this problem on 50 clinical videos acquired with the da Vinci Xi system and annotated with 12 frame-level labels. The benchmark compares four temporal models built on I3D features: MS-TCN++, AsFormer, TUT, and DiffAct. Evaluation uses balanced accuracy, edit score, segmental F1 at overlap thresholds of 10, 25, and 50, frame-wise accuracy, and frame-wise mean average precision. In addition to the primary evaluation across five released split configurations on SIA-RAPN, the benchmark reports cross-domain results on a separate single-port RAPN dataset. Across the strongest reported values over those five runs on the primary dataset, DiffAct achieves the highest F1, frame-wise accuracy, edit score, and frame mAP, while MS-TCN++ attains the highest balanced accuracy.

Reduced Order Model for Broadband Superabsorption of Waves by MetascreensHabib Ammari, Yu Gao, Lara Vrabac
This work presents a new design for broadband absorption of low-frequency acoustic waves using a thin coating made of subwavelength acoustic resonators arranged periodically on a reflective surface. We first study the associated scattering problem and the corresponding subwavelength resonance problem, and then derive analytical approximations for the resonant frequencies and the reflection coefficient in terms of the periodic capacitance matrix in a half-space with a Dirichlet boundary condition. These approximations yield an effective macroscopic description of the coating via an impedance boundary condition and clarify the mechanism of superabsorption through an approximate coupling condition. Moreover, they lead to a reduced order model that enables efficient evaluation of the scattered waves over a frequency band and accelerates broadband absorption design. Building on this reduced order model, we develop a gradient based shape optimization method using shape derivatives of the resonant quantities to achieve broadband absorption. Numerical experiments demonstrate the broadband performance and the effectiveness of the proposed design procedure.

Leveraging Verifier-Based Reinforcement Learning in Image EditingHanzhong Guo, Jie Wu, Jie Liu et al.
While Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) has become a pivotal paradigm for text-to-image generation, its application to image editing remains largely unexplored. A key bottleneck is the lack of a robust general reward model for all editing tasks. Existing edit reward models usually give overall scores without detailed checks, ignoring different instruction requirements and causing biased rewards. To address this, we argue that the key is to move from a simple scorer to a reasoning verifier. We introduce Edit-R1, a framework that builds a chain-of-thought (CoT) verifier-based reasoning reward model (RRM) and then leverages it for downstream image editing. The Edit-RRM breaks instructions into distinct principles, evaluates the edited image against each principle, and aggregates these checks into an interpretable, fine-grained reward. To build such an RRM, we first apply supervised fine-tuning (SFT) as a ``cold-start'' to generate CoT reward trajectories. Then, we introduce Group Contrastive Preference Optimization (GCPO), a reinforcement learning algorithm that leverages human pairwise preference data to reinforce our pointwise RRM. After building the RRM, we use GRPO to train editing models with this non-differentiable yet powerful reward model. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our Edit-RRM surpasses powerful VLMs such as Seed-1.5-VL and Seed-1.6-VL as an editing-specific reward model, and we observe a clear scaling trend, with performance consistently improving from 3B to 7B parameters. Moreover, Edit-R1 delivers gains to editing models like FLUX.1-kontext, highlighting its effectiveness in enhancing image editing.

Unified Map Prior Encoder for Mapping and PlanningZongzheng Zhang, Sizhe Zou, Guantian Zheng et al.
Online mapping and end-to-end (E2E) planning in autonomous driving remain largely sensor-centric, leaving rich map priors, including HD/SD vector maps, rasterized SD maps, and satellite imagery, underused because of heterogeneity, pose drift, and inconsistent availability at test time. We present UMPE, a Unified Map Prior Encoder that can ingest any subset of four priors and fuse them with BEV features for both mapping and planning. UMPE has two branches. The vector encoder pre-aligns HD/SD polylines with a frame-wise SE(2) correction, encodes points via multi-frequency sinusoidal features, and produces polyline tokens with confidence scores. BEV queries then apply cross-attention with confidence bias, followed by normalized channel-wise gating to avoid length imbalance and softly down-weight uncertain sources. The raster encoder shares a ResNet-18 backbone conditioned by FiLM with scaling and shift at every stage, performs SE(2) micro-alignment, and injects priors through zero-initialized residual fusion, so the network starts from a do-no-harm baseline and learns to add only useful prior evidence. A vector-then-raster fusion order reflects the inductive bias of geometry first, appearance second. On nuScenes mapping, UMPE lifts MapTRv2 from 61.5 to 67.4 mAP (+5.9) and MapQR from 66.4 to 71.7 mAP (+5.3). On Argoverse2, UMPE adds +4.1 mAP over strong baselines. UMPE is compositional: when trained with all priors, it outperforms single-prior models even when only one prior is available at test time, demonstrating powerset robustness. For E2E planning with the VAD backbone on nuScenes, UMPE reduces trajectory error from 0.72 to 0.42 m L2 on average (-0.30 m) and collision rate from 0.22% to 0.12% (-0.10%), surpassing recent prior-injection methods. These results show that a unified, alignment-aware treatment of heterogeneous map priors yields better mapping and better planning.

In this paper, we introduce Matten, a cutting-edge latent diffusion model with Mamba-Attention architecture for video generation. With minimal computational cost, Matten employs spatial-temporal attention for local video content modeling and bidirectional Mamba for global video content modeling. Our comprehensive experimental evaluation demonstrates that Matten has competitive performance with the current Transformer-based and GAN-based models in benchmark performance, achieving superior FVD scores and efficiency. Additionally, we observe a direct positive correlation between the complexity of our designed model and the improvement in video quality, indicating the excellent scalability of Matten.

Seedream 4.0: Toward Next-generation Multimodal Image GenerationTeam Seedream, Yunpeng Chen, Yu Gao et al.
We introduce Seedream 4.0, an efficient and high-performance multimodal image generation system that unifies text-to-image (T2I) synthesis, image editing, and multi-image composition within a single framework. We develop a highly efficient diffusion transformer with a powerful VAE which also can reduce the number of image tokens considerably. This allows for efficient training of our model, and enables it to fast generate native high-resolution images (e.g., 1K-4K). Seedream 4.0 is pretrained on billions of text-image pairs spanning diverse taxonomies and knowledge-centric concepts. Comprehensive data collection across hundreds of vertical scenarios, coupled with optimized strategies, ensures stable and large-scale training, with strong generalization. By incorporating a carefully fine-tuned VLM model, we perform multi-modal post-training for training both T2I and image editing tasks jointly. For inference acceleration, we integrate adversarial distillation, distribution matching, and quantization, as well as speculative decoding. It achieves an inference time of up to 1.8 seconds for generating a 2K image (without a LLM/VLM as PE model). Comprehensive evaluations reveal that Seedream 4.0 can achieve state-of-the-art results on both T2I and multimodal image editing. In particular, it demonstrates exceptional multimodal capabilities in complex tasks, including precise image editing and in-context reasoning, and also allows for multi-image reference, and can generate multiple output images. This extends traditional T2I systems into an more interactive and multidimensional creative tool, pushing the boundary of generative AI for both creativity and professional applications. OpenGS-SLAM: Open-Set Dense Semantic SLAM with 3D Gaussian Splatting for Object-Level Scene UnderstandingDianyi Yang, Yu Gao, Xihan Wang et al.
Recent advancements in 3D Gaussian Splatting have significantly improved the efficiency and quality of dense semantic SLAM. However, previous methods are generally constrained by limited-category pre-trained classifiers and implicit semantic representation, which hinder their performance in open-set scenarios and restrict 3D object-level scene understanding. To address these issues, we propose OpenGS-SLAM, an innovative framework that utilizes 3D Gaussian representation to perform dense semantic SLAM in open-set environments. Our system integrates explicit semantic labels derived from 2D foundational models into the 3D Gaussian framework, facilitating robust 3D object-level scene understanding. We introduce Gaussian Voting Splatting to enable fast 2D label map rendering and scene updating. Additionally, we propose a Confidence-based 2D Label Consensus method to ensure consistent labeling across multiple views. Furthermore, we employ a Segmentation Counter Pruning strategy to improve the accuracy of semantic scene representation. Extensive experiments on both synthetic and real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in scene understanding, tracking, and mapping, achieving 10 times faster semantic rendering and 2 times lower storage costs compared to existing methods. RewardDance: Reward Scaling in Visual GenerationJie Wu, Yu Gao, Zilyu Ye et al.
Reward Models (RMs) are critical for improving generation models via Reinforcement Learning (RL), yet the RM scaling paradigm in visual generation remains largely unexplored. It primarily due to fundamental limitations in existing approaches: CLIP-based RMs suffer from architectural and input modality constraints, while prevalent Bradley-Terry losses are fundamentally misaligned with the next-token prediction mechanism of Vision-Language Models (VLMs), hindering effective scaling. More critically, the RLHF optimization process is plagued by Reward Hacking issue, where models exploit flaws in the reward signal without improving true quality. To address these challenges, we introduce RewardDance, a scalable reward modeling framework that overcomes these barriers through a novel generative reward paradigm. By reformulating the reward score as the model's probability of predicting a "yes" token, indicating that the generated image outperforms a reference image according to specific criteria, RewardDance intrinsically aligns reward objectives with VLM architectures. This alignment unlocks scaling across two dimensions: (1) Model Scaling: Systematic scaling of RMs up to 26 billion parameters; (2) Context Scaling: Integration of task-specific instructions, reference examples, and chain-of-thought (CoT) reasoning. Extensive experiments demonstrate that RewardDance significantly surpasses state-of-the-art methods in text-to-image, text-to-video, and image-to-video generation. Crucially, we resolve the persistent challenge of "reward hacking": Our large-scale RMs exhibit and maintain high reward variance during RL fine-tuning, proving their resistance to hacking and ability to produce diverse, high-quality outputs. It greatly relieves the mode collapse problem that plagues smaller models.

IRL-VLA: Training an Vision-Language-Action Policy via Reward World ModelAnqing Jiang, Yu Gao, Yiru Wang et al.
Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have demonstrated potential in autonomous driving. However, two critical challenges hinder their development: (1) Existing VLA architectures are typically based on imitation learning in open-loop setup which tends to capture the recorded behaviors in the dataset, leading to suboptimal and constrained performance, (2) Close-loop training relies heavily on high-fidelity sensor simulation, where domain gaps and computational inefficiencies pose significant barriers. In this paper, we introduce IRL-VLA, a novel close-loop Reinforcement Learning via \textbf{I}nverse \textbf{R}einforcement \textbf{L}earning reward world model with a self-built VLA approach. Our framework proceeds in a three-stage paradigm: In the first stage, we propose a VLA architecture and pretrain the VLA policy via imitation learning. In the second stage, we construct a lightweight reward world model via inverse reinforcement learning to enable efficient close-loop reward computation. To further enhance planning performance, finally, we design specialized reward world model guidence reinforcement learning via PPO(Proximal Policy Optimization) to effectively balance the safety incidents, comfortable driving, and traffic efficiency. Our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance in NAVSIM v2 end-to-end driving benchmark, 1st runner up in CVPR2025 Autonomous Grand Challenge. We hope that our framework will accelerate VLA research in close-loop autonomous driving.

DroneSplat: 3D Gaussian Splatting for Robust 3D Reconstruction from In-the-Wild Drone ImageryJiadong Tang, Yu Gao, Dianyi Yang et al.
Drones have become essential tools for reconstructing wild scenes due to their outstanding maneuverability. Recent advances in radiance field methods have achieved remarkable rendering quality, providing a new avenue for 3D reconstruction from drone imagery. However, dynamic distractors in wild environments challenge the static scene assumption in radiance fields, while limited view constraints hinder the accurate capture of underlying scene geometry. To address these challenges, we introduce DroneSplat, a novel framework designed for robust 3D reconstruction from in-the-wild drone imagery. Our method adaptively adjusts masking thresholds by integrating local-global segmentation heuristics with statistical approaches, enabling precise identification and elimination of dynamic distractors in static scenes. We enhance 3D Gaussian Splatting with multi-view stereo predictions and a voxel-guided optimization strategy, supporting high-quality rendering under limited view constraints. For comprehensive evaluation, we provide a drone-captured 3D reconstruction dataset encompassing both dynamic and static scenes. Extensive experiments demonstrate that DroneSplat outperforms both 3DGS and NeRF baselines in handling in-the-wild drone imagery.

SparseMeXT Unlocking the Potential of Sparse Representations for HD Map ConstructionAnqing Jiang, Jinhao Chai, Yu Gao et al.
Recent advancements in high-definition \emph{HD} map construction have demonstrated the effectiveness of dense representations, which heavily rely on computationally intensive bird's-eye view \emph{BEV} features. While sparse representations offer a more efficient alternative by avoiding dense BEV processing, existing methods often lag behind due to the lack of tailored designs. These limitations have hindered the competitiveness of sparse representations in online HD map construction. In this work, we systematically revisit and enhance sparse representation techniques, identifying key architectural and algorithmic improvements that bridge the gap with--and ultimately surpass--dense approaches. We introduce a dedicated network architecture optimized for sparse map feature extraction, a sparse-dense segmentation auxiliary task to better leverage geometric and semantic cues, and a denoising module guided by physical priors to refine predictions. Through these enhancements, our method achieves state-of-the-art performance on the nuScenes dataset, significantly advancing HD map construction and centerline detection. Specifically, SparseMeXt-Tiny reaches a mean average precision \emph{mAP} of 55.5% at 32 frames per second \emph{fps}, while SparseMeXt-Base attains 65.2% mAP. Scaling the backbone and decoder further, SparseMeXt-Large achieves an mAP of 68.9% at over 20 fps, establishing a new benchmark for sparse representations in HD map construction. These results underscore the untapped potential of sparse methods, challenging the conventional reliance on dense representations and redefining efficiency-performance trade-offs in the field.

The Feasibility of Implementing Large-Scale Transformers on Multi-FPGA PlatformsYu Gao, Juan Camilo Vega, Paul Chow
FPGAs are rarely mentioned when discussing the implementation of large machine learning applications, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), in the data center. There has been much evidence showing that single FPGAs can be competitive with GPUs in performance for some computations, especially for low latency, and often much more efficient when power is considered. This suggests that there is merit to exploring the use of multiple FPGAs for large machine learning applications. The challenge with using multiple FPGAs is that there is no commonly-accepted flow for developing and deploying multi-FPGA applications, i.e., there are no tools to describe a large application, map it to multiple FPGAs and then deploy the application on a multi-FPGA platform. In this paper, we explore the feasibility of implementing large transformers using multiple FPGAs by developing a scalable multi-FPGA platform and some tools to map large applications to the platform. We validate our approach by designing an efficient multi-FPGA version of the I-BERT transformer and implement one encoder using six FPGAs as a working proof-of-concept to show that our platform and tools work. Based on our proof-of-concept prototype and the estimations of performance using the latest FPGAs compared to GPUs, we conclude that there can be a place for FPGAs in the world of large machine learning applications. We demonstrate a promising first step that shows that with the right infrastructure and tools it is reasonable to continue to explore the possible benefits of using FPGAs for applications such as LLMs.

UniUncer: Unified Dynamic Static Uncertainty for End to End DrivingYu Gao, Jijun Wang, Zongzheng Zhang et al.
End-to-end (E2E) driving has become a cornerstone of both industry deployment and academic research, offering a single learnable pipeline that maps multi-sensor inputs to actions while avoiding hand-engineered modules. However, the reliability of such pipelines strongly depends on how well they handle uncertainty: sensors are noisy, semantics can be ambiguous, and interaction with other road users is inherently stochastic. Uncertainty also appears in multiple forms: classification vs. localization, and, crucially, in both static map elements and dynamic agents. Existing E2E approaches model only static-map uncertainty, leaving planning vulnerable to overconfident and unreliable inputs. We present UniUncer, the first lightweight, unified uncertainty framework that jointly estimates and uses uncertainty for both static and dynamic scene elements inside an E2E planner. Concretely: (1) we convert deterministic heads to probabilistic Laplace regressors that output per-vertex location and scale for vectorized static and dynamic entities; (2) we introduce an uncertainty-fusion module that encodes these parameters and injects them into object/map queries to form uncertainty-aware queries; and (3) we design an uncertainty-aware gate that adaptively modulates reliance on historical inputs (ego status or temporal perception queries) based on current uncertainty levels. The design adds minimal overhead and drops throughput by only $\sim$0.5 FPS while remaining plug-and-play for common E2E backbones. On nuScenes (open-loop), UniUncer reduces average L2 trajectory error by 7\%. On NavsimV2 (pseudo closed-loop), it improves overall EPDMS by 10.8\% and notable stage two gains in challenging, interaction-heavy scenes. Ablations confirm that dynamic-agent uncertainty and the uncertainty-aware gate are both necessary.

FlowDrive: Energy Flow Field for End-to-End Autonomous DrivingHao Jiang, Zhipeng Zhang, Yu Gao et al.
Recent advances in end-to-end autonomous driving leverage multi-view images to construct BEV representations for motion planning. In motion planning, autonomous vehicles need considering both hard constraints imposed by geometrically occupied obstacles (e.g., vehicles, pedestrians) and soft, rule-based semantics with no explicit geometry (e.g., lane boundaries, traffic priors). However, existing end-to-end frameworks typically rely on BEV features learned in an implicit manner, lacking explicit modeling of risk and guidance priors for safe and interpretable planning. To address this, we propose FlowDrive, a novel framework that introduces physically interpretable energy-based flow fields-including risk potential and lane attraction fields-to encode semantic priors and safety cues into the BEV space. These flow-aware features enable adaptive refinement of anchor trajectories and serve as interpretable guidance for trajectory generation. Moreover, FlowDrive decouples motion intent prediction from trajectory denoising via a conditional diffusion planner with feature-level gating, alleviating task interference and enhancing multimodal diversity. Experiments on the NAVSIM v2 benchmark demonstrate that FlowDrive achieves state-of-the-art performance with an EPDMS of 86.3, surpassing prior baselines in both safety and planning quality. GaussianGraph: 3D Gaussian-based Scene Graph Generation for Open-world Scene UnderstandingXihan Wang, Dianyi Yang, Yu Gao et al.
Recent advancements in 3D Gaussian Splatting(3DGS) have significantly improved semantic scene understanding, enabling natural language queries to localize objects within a scene. However, existing methods primarily focus on embedding compressed CLIP features to 3D Gaussians, suffering from low object segmentation accuracy and lack spatial reasoning capabilities. To address these limitations, we propose GaussianGraph, a novel framework that enhances 3DGS-based scene understanding by integrating adaptive semantic clustering and scene graph generation. We introduce a "Control-Follow" clustering strategy, which dynamically adapts to scene scale and feature distribution, avoiding feature compression and significantly improving segmentation accuracy. Additionally, we enrich scene representation by integrating object attributes and spatial relations extracted from 2D foundation models. To address inaccuracies in spatial relationships, we propose 3D correction modules that filter implausible relations through spatial consistency verification, ensuring reliable scene graph construction. Extensive experiments on three datasets demonstrate that GaussianGraph outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both semantic segmentation and object grounding tasks, providing a robust solution for complex scene understanding and interaction.

Recent strides in video generation have paved the way for unified audio-visual generation. In this work, we present Seedance 1.5 pro, a foundational model engineered specifically for native, joint audio-video generation. Leveraging a dual-branch Diffusion Transformer architecture, the model integrates a cross-modal joint module with a specialized multi-stage data pipeline, achieving exceptional audio-visual synchronization and superior generation quality. To ensure practical utility, we implement meticulous post-training optimizations, including Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) on high-quality datasets and Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) with multi-dimensional reward models. Furthermore, we introduce an acceleration framework that boosts inference speed by over 10X. Seedance 1.5 pro distinguishes itself through precise multilingual and dialect lip-syncing, dynamic cinematic camera control, and enhanced narrative coherence, positioning it as a robust engine for professional-grade content creation. DiffVLA++: Bridging Cognitive Reasoning and End-to-End Driving through Metric-Guided AlignmentYu Gao, Anqing Jiang, Yiru Wang et al.
Conventional end-to-end (E2E) driving models are effective at generating physically plausible trajectories, but often fail to generalize to long-tail scenarios due to the lack of essential world knowledge to understand and reason about surrounding environments. In contrast, Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models leverage world knowledge to handle challenging cases, but their limited 3D reasoning capability can lead to physically infeasible actions. In this work we introduce DiffVLA++, an enhanced autonomous driving framework that explicitly bridges cognitive reasoning and E2E planning through metric-guided alignment. First, we build a VLA module directly generating semantically grounded driving trajectories. Second, we design an E2E module with a dense trajectory vocabulary that ensures physical feasibility. Third, and most critically, we introduce a metric-guided trajectory scorer that guides and aligns the outputs of the VLA and E2E modules, thereby integrating their complementary strengths. The experiment on the ICCV 2025 Autonomous Grand Challenge leaderboard shows that DiffVLA++ achieves EPDMS of 49.12.

Automated 3D-GS Registration and Fusion via Skeleton Alignment and Gaussian-Adaptive FeaturesShiyang Liu, Dianyi Yang, Yu Gao et al.
In recent years, 3D Gaussian Splatting (3D-GS)-based scene representation demonstrates significant potential in real-time rendering and training efficiency. However, most existing methods primarily focus on single-map reconstruction, while the registration and fusion of multiple 3D-GS sub-maps remain underexplored. Existing methods typically rely on manual intervention to select a reference sub-map as a template and use point cloud matching for registration. Moreover, hard-threshold filtering of 3D-GS primitives often degrades rendering quality after fusion. In this paper, we present a novel approach for automated 3D-GS sub-map alignment and fusion, eliminating the need for manual intervention while enhancing registration accuracy and fusion quality. First, we extract geometric skeletons across multiple scenes and leverage ellipsoid-aware convolution to capture 3D-GS attributes, facilitating robust scene registration. Second, we introduce a multi-factor Gaussian fusion strategy to mitigate the scene element loss caused by rigid thresholding. Experiments on the ScanNet-GSReg and our Coord datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in registration and fusion. For registration, it achieves a 41.9\% reduction in RRE on complex scenes, ensuring more precise pose estimation. For fusion, it improves PSNR by 10.11 dB, highlighting superior structural preservation. These results confirm its ability to enhance scene alignment and reconstruction fidelity, ensuring more consistent and accurate 3D scene representation for robotic perception and autonomous navigation.

DiffVLA: Vision-Language Guided Diffusion Planning for Autonomous DrivingAnqing Jiang, Yu Gao, Zhigang Sun et al. · tsinghua
Research interest in end-to-end autonomous driving has surged owing to its fully differentiable design integrating modular tasks, i.e. perception, prediction and planing, which enables optimization in pursuit of the ultimate goal. Despite the great potential of the end-to-end paradigm, existing methods suffer from several aspects including expensive BEV (bird's eye view) computation, action diversity, and sub-optimal decision in complex real-world scenarios. To address these challenges, we propose a novel hybrid sparse-dense diffusion policy, empowered by a Vision-Language Model (VLM), called Diff-VLA. We explore the sparse diffusion representation for efficient multi-modal driving behavior. Moreover, we rethink the effectiveness of VLM driving decision and improve the trajectory generation guidance through deep interaction across agent, map instances and VLM output. Our method shows superior performance in Autonomous Grand Challenge 2025 which contains challenging real and reactive synthetic scenarios. Our methods achieves 45.0 PDMS.
