Physics-Informed Video Generation via Mixture-of-Experts Latent Alignment

Large-scale video generation models have made remarkable progress in semantic consistency and visual quality, producing videos that are increasingly coherent and visually convincing. Nevertheless, the dynamics induced by pixel-level fitting do not naturally accommodate the regularities that govern real-world motion and interaction, resulting in persistent shortcomings in physical plausibility. To address this limitation, we propose \textbf{PILA} (Physics-Informed Latent Alignment), a framework that injects physics-structured latent guidance into the frozen flow-matching dynamics of pretrained video models. Specifically, PILA first employs anchored field estimation to map frozen-generator latents into an operational physical attribute bank organized by field-proxy slots, using observable motion as a kinematic anchor for constructing less directly observed proxies. To handle the heterogeneity of real-world dynamics, PILA adopts a mixture-of-experts design over physical categories. Label-prior masked expert routing selects category-specific operator experts, whose refinements are regularized by operational residuals abstracted from physical relations. Finally, the refined proxies are fused into the physical attribute bank and decoded into a correction to the flow-matching vector field, injecting physics-aware guidance while preserving the visual prior of the pretrained backbone. With staged adapter training on Wan 2.1-1.3B and direct transfer of the learned adapter to Wan 2.2-14B, PILA achieves state-of-the-art results on VBench-2.0, VideoPhy-2, and PhyGenBench in both visual quality and benchmark-measured physical plausibility.

MambaOcc: Visual State Space Model for BEV-based Occupancy Prediction with Local Adaptive Reordering

Occupancy prediction has attracted intensive attention and shown great superiority in the development of autonomous driving systems. The fine-grained environmental representation brought by occupancy prediction in terms of both geometry and semantic information has facilitated the general perception and safe planning under open scenarios. However, it also brings high computation costs and heavy parameters in existing works that utilize voxel-based 3d dense representation and Transformer-based quadratic attention. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose a Mamba-based occupancy prediction method (MambaOcc) adopting BEV features to ease the burden of 3D scenario representation, and linear Mamba-style attention to achieve efficient long-range perception. Besides, to address the sensitivity of Mamba to sequence order, we propose a local adaptive reordering (LAR) mechanism with deformable convolution and design a hybrid BEV encoder comprised of convolution layers and Mamba. Extensive experiments on the Occ3D-nuScenes dataset demonstrate that MambaOcc achieves state-of-the-art performance in terms of both accuracy and computational efficiency. For example, compared to FlashOcc, MambaOcc delivers superior results while reducing the number of parameters by 42\% and computational costs by 39\%. CogRail: Benchmarking VLMs in Cognitive Intrusion Perception for Intelligent Railway Transportation Systems

Accurate and early perception of potential intrusion targets is essential for ensuring the safety of railway transportation systems. However, most existing systems focus narrowly on object classification within fixed visual scopes and apply rule-based heuristics to determine intrusion status, often overlooking targets that pose latent intrusion risks. Anticipating such risks requires the cognition of spatial context and temporal dynamics for the object of interest (OOI), which presents challenges for conventional visual models. To facilitate deep intrusion perception, we introduce a novel benchmark, CogRail, which integrates curated open-source datasets with cognitively driven question-answer annotations to support spatio-temporal reasoning and prediction. Building upon this benchmark, we conduct a systematic evaluation of state-of-the-art visual-language models (VLMs) using multimodal prompts to identify their strengths and limitations in this domain. Furthermore, we fine-tune VLMs for better performance and propose a joint fine-tuning framework that integrates three core tasks, position perception, movement prediction, and threat analysis, facilitating effective adaptation of general-purpose foundation models into specialized models tailored for cognitive intrusion perception. Extensive experiments reveal that current large-scale multimodal models struggle with the complex spatial-temporal reasoning required by the cognitive intrusion perception task, underscoring the limitations of existing foundation models in this safety-critical domain. In contrast, our proposed joint fine-tuning framework significantly enhances model performance by enabling targeted adaptation to domain-specific reasoning demands, highlighting the advantages of structured multi-task learning in improving both accuracy and interpretability. Talk Less, Fly Lighter: Autonomous Semantic Compression for UAV Swarm Communication via LLMs

The rapid adoption of Large Language Models (LLMs) in unmanned systems has significantly enhanced the semantic understanding and autonomous task execution capabilities of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) swarms. However, limited communication bandwidth and the need for high-frequency interactions pose severe challenges to semantic information transmission within the swarm. This paper explores the feasibility of LLM-driven UAV swarms for autonomous semantic compression communication, aiming to reduce communication load while preserving critical task semantics. To this end, we construct four types of 2D simulation scenarios with different levels of environmental complexity and design a communication-execution pipeline that integrates system prompts with task instruction prompts. On this basis, we systematically evaluate the semantic compression performance of nine mainstream LLMs in different scenarios and analyze their adaptability and stability through ablation studies on environmental complexity and swarm size. Experimental results demonstrate that LLM-based UAV swarms have the potential to achieve efficient collaborative communication under bandwidth-constrained and multi-hop link conditions.

AstroReview: An LLM-driven Multi-Agent Framework for Telescope Proposal Peer Review and Refinement

Competitive access to modern observatories has intensified as proposal volumes outpace available telescope time, making timely, consistent, and transparent peer review a critical bottleneck for the advancement of astronomy. Automating parts of this process is therefore both scientifically significant and operationally necessary to ensure fair allocation and reproducible decisions at scale. We present AstroReview, an open-source, agent-based framework that automates proposal review in three stages: (i) novelty and scientific merit, (ii) feasibility and expected yield, and (iii) meta-review and reliability verification. Task isolation and explicit reasoning traces curb hallucinations and improve transparency. Without any domain specific fine tuning, AstroReview used in our experiments only for the last stage, correctly identifies genuinely accepted proposals with an accuracy of 87%. The AstroReview in Action module replicates the review and refinement loop; with its integrated Proposal Authoring Agent, the acceptance rate of revised drafts increases by 66% after two iterations, showing that iterative feedback combined with automated meta-review and reliability verification delivers measurable quality gains. Together, these results point to a practical path toward scalable, auditable, and higher throughput proposal review for resource limited facilities.

UAVs Meet LLMs: Overviews and Perspectives Toward Agentic Low-Altitude Mobility

Low-altitude mobility, exemplified by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has introduced transformative advancements across various domains, like transportation, logistics, and agriculture. Leveraging flexible perspectives and rapid maneuverability, UAVs extend traditional systems' perception and action capabilities, garnering widespread attention from academia and industry. However, current UAV operations primarily depend on human control, with only limited autonomy in simple scenarios, and lack the intelligence and adaptability needed for more complex environments and tasks. The emergence of large language models (LLMs) demonstrates remarkable problem-solving and generalization capabilities, offering a promising pathway for advancing UAV intelligence. This paper explores the integration of LLMs and UAVs, beginning with an overview of UAV systems' fundamental components and functionalities, followed by an overview of the state-of-the-art in LLM technology. Subsequently, it systematically highlights the multimodal data resources available for UAVs, which provide critical support for training and evaluation. Furthermore, it categorizes and analyzes key tasks and application scenarios where UAVs and LLMs converge. Finally, a reference roadmap towards agentic UAVs is proposed, aiming to enable UAVs to achieve agentic intelligence through autonomous perception, memory, reasoning, and tool utilization. UAV-Track VLA: Embodied Aerial Tracking via Vision-Language-Action Models

Embodied visual tracking is crucial for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) executing complex real-world tasks. In dynamic urban scenarios with complex semantic requirements, Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models show great promise due to their cross-modal fusion and continuous action generation capabilities. To benchmark multimodal tracking in such environments, we construct a dedicated evaluation benchmark and a large-scale dataset encompassing over 890K frames, 176 tasks, and 85 diverse objects. Furthermore, to address temporal feature redundancy and the lack of spatial geometric priors in existing VLA models, we propose an improved VLA tracking model, UAV-Track VLA. Built upon the $π_{0.5}$ architecture, our model introduces a temporal compression net to efficiently capture inter-frame dynamics. Additionally, a parallel dual-branch decoder comprising a spatial-aware auxiliary grounding head and a flow matching action expert is designed to decouple cross-modal features and generate fine-grained continuous actions. Systematic experiments in the CARLA simulator validate the superior end-to-end performance of our method. Notably, in challenging long-distance pedestrian tracking tasks, UAV-Track VLA achieves a 61.76\% success rate and 269.65 average tracking frames, significantly outperforming existing baselines. Furthermore, it demonstrates robust zero-shot generalization in unseen environments and reduces single-step inference latency by 33.4\% (to 0.0571s) compared to the original $π_{0.5}$, enabling highly efficient, real-time UAV control. OpenCOOD-Air: Prompting Heterogeneous Ground-Air Collaborative Perception with Spatial Conversion and Offset Prediction

While Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) collaboration extends sensing ranges through multi-agent data sharing, its reliability remains severely constrained by ground-level occlusions and the limited perspective of chassis-mounted sensors, which often result in critical perception blind spots. We propose OpenCOOD-Air, a novel framework that integrates UAVs as extensible platforms into V2V collaborative perception to overcome these constraints. To mitigate gradient interference from ground-air domain gaps and data sparsity, we adopt a transfer learning strategy to fine-tune UAV weights from pre-trained V2V models. To prevent the spatial information loss inherent in this transition, we formulate ground-air collaborative perception as a heterogeneous integration task with explicit altitude supervision and introduce a Cross-Domain Spatial Converter (CDSC) and a Spatial Offset Prediction Transformer (SOPT). Furthermore, we present the OPV2V-Air benchmark to validate the transition from V2V to Vehicle-to-Vehicle-to-UAV. Compared to state-of-the-art methods, our approach improves 2D and 3D AP@0.7 by 4% and 7%, respectively.

ExpressMind: A Multimodal Pretrained Large Language Model for Expressway Operation

The current expressway operation relies on rule-based and isolated models, which limits the ability to jointly analyze knowledge across different systems. Meanwhile, Large Language Models (LLMs) are increasingly applied in intelligent transportation, advancing traffic models from algorithmic to cognitive intelligence. However, general LLMs are unable to effectively understand the regulations and causal relationships of events in unconventional scenarios in the expressway field. Therefore, this paper constructs a pre-trained multimodal large language model (MLLM) for expressways, ExpressMind, which serves as the cognitive core for intelligent expressway operations. This paper constructs the industry's first full-stack expressway dataset, encompassing traffic knowledge texts, emergency reasoning chains, and annotated video events to overcome data scarcity. This paper proposes a dual-layer LLM pre-training paradigm based on self-supervised training and unsupervised learning. Additionally, this study introduces a Graph-Augmented RAG framework to dynamically index the expressway knowledge base. To enhance reasoning for expressway incident response strategies, we develop a RL-aligned Chain-of-Thought (RL-CoT) mechanism that enforces consistency between model reasoning and expert problem-solving heuristics for incident handling. Finally, ExpressMind integrates a cross-modal encoder to align the dynamic feature sequences under the visual and textual channels, enabling it to understand traffic scenes in both video and image modalities. Extensive experiments on our newly released multi-modal expressway benchmark demonstrate that ExpressMind comprehensively outperforms existing baselines in event detection, safety response generation, and complex traffic analysis. AirVista-II: An Agentic System for Embodied UAVs Toward Dynamic Scene Semantic Understanding

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are increasingly important in dynamic environments such as logistics transportation and disaster response. However, current tasks often rely on human operators to monitor aerial videos and make operational decisions. This mode of human-machine collaboration suffers from significant limitations in efficiency and adaptability. In this paper, we present AirVista-II -- an end-to-end agentic system for embodied UAVs, designed to enable general-purpose semantic understanding and reasoning in dynamic scenes. The system integrates agent-based task identification and scheduling, multimodal perception mechanisms, and differentiated keyframe extraction strategies tailored for various temporal scenarios, enabling the efficient capture of critical scene information. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves high-quality semantic understanding across diverse UAV-based dynamic scenarios under a zero-shot setting.

Breaking Bad Molecules: Are MLLMs Ready for Structure-Level Molecular Detoxification?

Toxicity remains a leading cause of early-stage drug development failure. Despite advances in molecular design and property prediction, the task of molecular toxicity repair - generating structurally valid molecular alternatives with reduced toxicity - has not yet been systematically defined or benchmarked. To fill this gap, we introduce ToxiMol, the first benchmark task for general-purpose Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) focused on molecular toxicity repair. We construct a standardized dataset covering 11 primary tasks and 560 representative toxic molecules spanning diverse mechanisms and granularities. We design a prompt annotation pipeline with mechanism-aware and task-adaptive capabilities, informed by expert toxicological knowledge. In parallel, we propose an automated evaluation framework, ToxiEval, which integrates toxicity endpoint prediction, synthetic accessibility, drug-likeness, and structural similarity into a high-throughput evaluation chain for repair success. We systematically assess nearly 30 mainstream general-purpose MLLMs and design multiple ablation studies to analyze key factors such as evaluation criteria, candidate diversity, and failure attribution. Experimental results show that although current MLLMs still face significant challenges on this task, they begin to demonstrate promising capabilities in toxicity understanding, semantic constraint adherence, and structure-aware molecule editing.

CoordField: Coordination Field for Agentic UAV Task Allocation In Low-altitude Urban Scenarios

With the increasing demand for heterogeneous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) swarms to perform complex tasks in urban environments, system design now faces major challenges, including efficient semantic understanding, flexible task planning, and the ability to dynamically adjust coordination strategies in response to evolving environmental conditions and continuously changing task requirements. To address the limitations of existing methods, this paper proposes CoordField, a coordination field agent system for coordinating heterogeneous drone swarms in complex urban scenarios. In this system, large language models (LLMs) is responsible for interpreting high-level human instructions and converting them into executable commands for the UAV swarms, such as patrol and target tracking. Subsequently, a Coordination field mechanism is proposed to guide UAV motion and task selection, enabling decentralized and adaptive allocation of emergent tasks. A total of 50 rounds of comparative testing were conducted across different models in a 2D simulation space to evaluate their performance. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves superior performance in terms of task coverage, response time, and adaptability to dynamic changes.

A Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning Approach for Cooperative Air-Ground-Human Crowdsensing in Emergency Rescue

Mobile crowdsensing is evolving beyond traditional human-centric models by integrating heterogeneous entities like unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). Optimizing task allocation among these diverse agents is critical, particularly in challenging emergency rescue scenarios characterized by complex environments, limited communication, and partial observability. This paper tackles the Heterogeneous-Entity Collaborative-Sensing Task Allocation (HECTA) problem specifically for emergency rescue, considering humans, UAVs, and UGVs. We introduce a novel ``Hard-Cooperative'' policy where UGVs prioritize recharging low-battery UAVs, alongside performing their sensing tasks. The primary objective is maximizing the task completion rate (TCR) under strict time constraints. We rigorously formulate this NP-hard problem as a decentralized partially observable Markov decision process (Dec-POMDP) to effectively handle sequential decision-making under uncertainty. To solve this, we propose HECTA4ER, a novel multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithm built upon a Centralized Training with Decentralized Execution architecture. HECTA4ER incorporates tailored designs, including specialized modules for complex feature extraction, utilization of action-observation history via hidden states, and a mixing network integrating global and local information, specifically addressing the challenges of partial observability. Furthermore, theoretical analysis confirms the algorithm's convergence properties. Extensive simulations demonstrate that HECTA4ER significantly outperforms baseline algorithms, achieving an average 18.42% increase in TCR. Crucially, a real-world case study validates the algorithm's effectiveness and robustness in dynamic sensing scenarios, highlighting its strong potential for practical application in emergency response.

Offline Reinforcement Learning with Discrete Diffusion Skills

Skills have been introduced to offline reinforcement learning (RL) as temporal abstractions to tackle complex, long-horizon tasks, promoting consistent behavior and enabling meaningful exploration. While skills in offline RL are predominantly modeled within a continuous latent space, the potential of discrete skill spaces remains largely underexplored. In this paper, we propose a compact discrete skill space for offline RL tasks supported by state-of-the-art transformer-based encoder and diffusion-based decoder. Coupled with a high-level policy trained via offline RL techniques, our method establishes a hierarchical RL framework where the trained diffusion decoder plays a pivotal role. Empirical evaluations show that the proposed algorithm, Discrete Diffusion Skill (DDS), is a powerful offline RL method. DDS performs competitively on Locomotion and Kitchen tasks and excels on long-horizon tasks, achieving at least a 12 percent improvement on AntMaze-v2 benchmarks compared to existing offline RL approaches. Furthermore, DDS offers improved interpretability, training stability, and online exploration compared to previous skill-based methods.

Context-Aware Dynamic Feature Extraction for 3D Object Detection in Point Clouds

Varying density of point clouds increases the difficulty of 3D detection. In this paper, we present a context-aware dynamic network (CADNet) to capture the variance of density by considering both point context and semantic context. Point-level contexts are generated from original point clouds to enlarge the effective receptive filed. They are extracted around the voxelized pillars based on our extended voxelization method and processed with the context encoder in parallel with the pillar features. With a large perception range, we are able to capture the variance of features for potential objects and generate attentive spatial guidance to help adjust the strengths for different regions. In the region proposal network, considering the limited representation ability of traditional convolution where same kernels are shared among different samples and positions, we propose a decomposable dynamic convolutional layer to adapt to the variance of input features by learning from local semantic context. It adaptively generates the position-dependent coefficients for multiple fixed kernels and combines them to convolve with local feature windows. Based on our dynamic convolution, we design a dual-path convolution block to further improve the representation ability. We conduct experiments with our Network on KITTI dataset and achieve good performance on 3D detection task for both precision and speed. Our one-stage detector outperforms SECOND and PointPillars by a large margin and achieves the speed of 30 FPS.

Adaptive and Azimuth-Aware Fusion Network of Multimodal Local Features for 3D Object Detection

This paper focuses on the construction of stronger local features and the effective fusion of image and LiDAR data. We adopt different modalities of LiDAR data to generate richer features and present an adaptive and azimuth-aware network to aggregate local features from image, bird's eye view maps and point cloud. Our network mainly consists of three subnetworks: ground plane estimation network, region proposal network and adaptive fusion network. The ground plane estimation network extracts features of point cloud and predicts the parameters of a plane which are used for generating abundant 3D anchors. The region proposal network generates features of image and bird's eye view maps to output region proposals. To integrate heterogeneous image and point cloud features, the adaptive fusion network explicitly adjusts the intensity of multiple local features and achieves the orientation consistency between image and LiDAR data by introduce an azimuth-aware fusion module. Experiments are conducted on KITTI dataset and the results validate the advantages of our aggregation of multimodal local features and the adaptive fusion network.

Training and Testing Object Detectors with Virtual Images

In the area of computer vision, deep learning has produced a variety of state-of-the-art models that rely on massive labeled data. However, collecting and annotating images from the real world has a great demand for labor and money investments and is usually too passive to build datasets with specific characteristics, such as small area of objects and high occlusion level. Under the framework of Parallel Vision, this paper presents a purposeful way to design artificial scenes and automatically generate virtual images with precise annotations. A virtual dataset named ParallelEye is built, which can be used for several computer vision tasks. Then, by training the DPM (Deformable Parts Model) and Faster R-CNN detectors, we prove that the performance of models can be significantly improved by combining ParallelEye with publicly available real-world datasets during the training phase. In addition, we investigate the potential of testing the trained models from a specific aspect using intentionally designed virtual datasets, in order to discover the flaws of trained models. From the experimental results, we conclude that our virtual dataset is viable to train and test the object detectors.

The ParallelEye Dataset: Constructing Large-Scale Artificial Scenes for Traffic Vision Research

Video image datasets are playing an essential role in design and evaluation of traffic vision algorithms. Nevertheless, a longstanding inconvenience concerning image datasets is that manually collecting and annotating large-scale diversified datasets from real scenes is time-consuming and prone to error. For that virtual datasets have begun to function as a proxy of real datasets. In this paper, we propose to construct large-scale artificial scenes for traffic vision research and generate a new virtual dataset called "ParallelEye". First of all, the street map data is used to build 3D scene model of Zhongguancun Area, Beijing. Then, the computer graphics, virtual reality, and rule modeling technologies are utilized to synthesize large-scale, realistic virtual urban traffic scenes, in which the fidelity and geography match the real world well. Furthermore, the Unity3D platform is used to render the artificial scenes and generate accurate ground-truth labels, e.g., semantic/instance segmentation, object bounding box, object tracking, optical flow, and depth. The environmental conditions in artificial scenes can be controlled completely. As a result, we present a viable implementation pipeline for constructing large-scale artificial scenes for traffic vision research. The experimental results demonstrate that this pipeline is able to generate photorealistic virtual datasets with low modeling time and high accuracy labeling.
