SrDetection: A Self-Referential Framework for Data Leakage Detection in Code Large Language ModelsShuaimin Li, Liyang Fan, Zeyang Li et al.
Evaluating code large language models (Code LLMs) requires reliable detection of data leakage, where benchmark performance is artificially inflated by exposure to benchmark data during pre-training. Existing approaches either assume access to proprietary training corpora, rely on brittle heuristics such as timestamp filtering, or use external reference sets with manually tuned, non-generalizable thresholds. To address these limitations, we introduce \textbf{SrDetection}, a unified \textbf{s}elf-\textbf{r}eferential leakage detection framework for both gray-box (access to model logits) and black-box (access to model outputs) settings. SrDetection generates semantically equivalent variants of a benchmark sample and detects leakage by contrasting the model's behavior on the original versus its variants, flagging cases where the original is disproportionately easier for the model. We further design a controlled leakage detection testbed and evaluate SrDetection in this environment. Across different models and training stages, SrDetection improves average F1 by 21.52 points in the gray-box setting and 14.46 points in the black-box setting over strong baselines, demonstrating robust, threshold-independent leakage detection. Finally, a gray-box study of 15 widely used Code LLMs on four popular benchmarks reveals benchmark-specific leakage patterns beyond prior overlap-based analyses\footnote{\footnotesize Source code and data are available at https://github.com/SMinL/SrDetectionCode

Zero-Shot Neural Architecture Search with Weighted Response CorrelationKun Jing, Luoyu Chen, Jungang Xu et al.
Neural architecture search (NAS) is a promising approach for automatically designing neural network architectures. However, the architecture estimation of NAS is computationally expensive and time-consuming because of training multiple architectures from scratch. Although existing zero-shot NAS methods use training-free proxies to accelerate the architecture estimation, their effectiveness, stability, and generality are still lacking. We present a novel training-free estimation proxy called weighted response correlation (WRCor). WRCor utilizes correlation coefficient matrices of responses across different input samples to calculate the proxy scores of estimated architectures, which can measure their expressivity and generalizability. Experimental results on proxy evaluation demonstrate that WRCor and its voting proxies are more efficient estimation strategies than existing proxies. We also apply them with different search strategies in architecture search. Experimental results on architecture search show that our zero-shot NAS algorithm outperforms most existing NAS algorithms in different search spaces. Our NAS algorithm can discover an architecture with a 22.1% test error on the ImageNet-1k dataset within 4 GPU hours. All codes are publicly available at https://github.com/kunjing96/ZSNAS-WRCor.git.

A Survey on Neural Network Language ModelsKun Jing, Jungang Xu
As the core component of Natural Language Processing (NLP) system, Language Model (LM) can provide word representation and probability indication of word sequences. Neural Network Language Models (NNLMs) overcome the curse of dimensionality and improve the performance of traditional LMs. A survey on NNLMs is performed in this paper. The structure of classic NNLMs is described firstly, and then some major improvements are introduced and analyzed. We summarize and compare corpora and toolkits of NNLMs. Further, some research directions of NNLMs are discussed.
