MKG-Rank: Enhancing Large Language Models with Knowledge Graph for Multilingual Medical Question AnsweringFeiyang Li, Yingjian Chen, Haoran Liu et al.
Large Language Models (LLMs) have shown remarkable progress in medical question answering (QA), yet their effectiveness remains predominantly limited to English due to imbalanced multilingual training data and scarce medical resources for low-resource languages. To address this critical language gap in medical QA, we propose Multilingual Knowledge Graph-based Retrieval Ranking (MKG-Rank), a knowledge graph-enhanced framework that enables English-centric LLMs to perform multilingual medical QA. Through a word-level translation mechanism, our framework efficiently integrates comprehensive English-centric medical knowledge graphs into LLM reasoning at a low cost, mitigating cross-lingual semantic distortion and achieving precise medical QA across language barriers. To enhance efficiency, we introduce caching and multi-angle ranking strategies to optimize the retrieval process, significantly reducing response times and prioritizing relevant medical knowledge. Extensive evaluations on multilingual medical QA benchmarks across Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Swahili demonstrate that MKG-Rank consistently outperforms zero-shot LLMs, achieving maximum 35.03% increase in accuracy, while maintaining an average retrieval time of only 0.0009 seconds.

RB-FT: Rationale-Bootstrapped Fine-Tuning for Video ClassificationMeilong Xu, Di Fu, Jiaxing Zhang et al.
Vision Language Models (VLMs) are becoming increasingly integral to multimedia understanding; however, they often struggle with domain-specific video classification tasks, particularly in cases with limited data. This stems from a critical \textit{rationale gap}, where sparse domain data is insufficient to bridge the semantic distance between complex spatio-temporal content and abstract classification labels. We propose a two-stage self-improvement paradigm to bridge this gap without new annotations. First, we prompt the VLMs to generate detailed textual rationales for each video, compelling them to articulate the domain-specific logic. The VLM is then fine-tuned on these self-generated rationales, utilizing this intermediate supervision to align its representations with the nuances of the target domain. Second, conventional supervised fine-tuning (SFT) is performed on the task labels, achieving markedly higher effectiveness as a result of the model's pre-acquired domain reasoning. Extensive experiments on diverse datasets demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms direct SFT, validating self-generated rationale as an effective, annotation-efficient paradigm for adapting VLMs to domain-specific video analysis.

Optimising Random Forest Machine Learning Algorithms for User VR Experience Prediction Based on Iterative Local Search-Sparrow Search AlgorithmXirui Tang, Feiyang Li, Zinan Cao et al.
In this paper, an improved method for VR user experience prediction is investigated by introducing a sparrow search algorithm and a random forest algorithm improved by an iterative local search-optimised sparrow search algorithm. The study firstly conducted a statistical analysis of the data, and then trained and tested using the traditional random forest model, the random forest model improved by the sparrow search algorithm, and the random forest algorithm improved based on the iterative local search-sparrow search algorithm, respectively. The results show that the traditional random forest model has a prediction accuracy of 93% on the training set but only 73.3% on the test set, which is poor in generalisation; whereas the model improved by the sparrow search algorithm has a prediction accuracy of 94% on the test set, which is improved compared with the traditional model. What is more noteworthy is that the improved model based on the iterative local search-sparrow search algorithm achieves 100% accuracy on both the training and test sets, which is significantly better than the other two methods. These research results provide new ideas and methods for VR user experience prediction, especially the improved model based on the iterative local search-sparrow search algorithm performs well and is able to more accurately predict and classify the user's VR experience. In the future, the application of this method in other fields can be further explored, and its effectiveness can be verified through real cases to promote the development of AI technology in the field of user experience.
