Collaborative Attention Memory Network for Video Object SegmentationZhixing Huang, Junli Zha, Fei Xie et al.
Semi-supervised video object segmentation is a fundamental yet Challenging task in computer vision. Embedding matching based CFBI series networks have achieved promising results by foreground-background integration approach. Despite its superior performance, these works exhibit distinct shortcomings, especially the false predictions caused by little appearance instances in first frame, even they could easily be recognized by previous frame. Moreover, they suffer from object's occlusion and error drifts. In order to overcome the shortcomings , we propose Collaborative Attention Memory Network with an enhanced segmentation head. We introduce a object context scheme that explicitly enhances the object information, which aims at only gathering the pixels that belong to the same category as a given pixel as its context. Additionally, a segmentation head with Feature Pyramid Attention(FPA) module is adopted to perform spatial pyramid attention structure on high-level output. Furthermore, we propose an ensemble network to combine STM network with all these new refined CFBI network. Finally, we evaluated our approach on the 2021 Youtube-VOS challenge where we obtain 6th place with an overall score of 83.5\%.
Guidance Disentanglement Network for Optics-Guided Thermal UAV Image Super-ResolutionZhicheng Zhao, Juanjuan Gu, Chenglong Li et al.
Optics-guided Thermal UAV image Super-Resolution (OTUAV-SR) has attracted significant research interest due to its potential applications in security inspection, agricultural measurement, and object detection. Existing methods often employ single guidance model to generate the guidance features from optical images to assist thermal UAV images super-resolution. However, single guidance models make it difficult to generate effective guidance features under favorable and adverse conditions in UAV scenarios, thus limiting the performance of OTUAV-SR. To address this issue, we propose a novel Guidance Disentanglement network (GDNet), which disentangles the optical image representation according to typical UAV scenario attributes to form guidance features under both favorable and adverse conditions, for robust OTUAV-SR. Moreover, we design an attribute-aware fusion module to combine all attribute-based optical guidance features, which could form a more discriminative representation and fit the attribute-agnostic guidance process. To facilitate OTUAV-SR research in complex UAV scenarios, we introduce VGTSR2.0, a large-scale benchmark dataset containing 3,500 aligned optical-thermal image pairs captured under diverse conditions and scenes. Extensive experiments on VGTSR2.0 demonstrate that GDNet significantly improves OTUAV-SR performance over state-of-the-art methods, especially in the challenging low-light and foggy environments commonly encountered in UAV scenarios. The dataset and code will be publicly available at https://github.com/Jocelyney/GDNet.

On the Robustness of "Robust reversible data hiding scheme based on two-layer embedding strategy"Wen Yin, Longfei Ke, Zhaoxia Yin et al.
In the paper "Robust reversible data hiding scheme based on two-layer embedding strategy" published in INS recently, Kumar et al. proposed a robust reversible data hiding (RRDH) scheme based on two-layer embedding. Secret data was embedded into the most significant bit (MSB) planes to increase robustness, and a sorting strategy based on local complexity was adopted to reduce distortion. However, Kumar et al.'s reversible data hiding (RDH) scheme is not as robust against joint photographic experts group (JPEG) compression as stated and can not be called RRDH. This comment first gives a brief description of their RDH scheme, then analyses their scheme's robustness from the perspective of JPEG compression principles. JPEG compression will change pixel values, thereby destroying auxiliary information and pixel value ordering required to extract secret data correctly, making their scheme not robust. Next, the changes in both bit plane and pixel value ordering after JPEG compression are shown and analysed by different robustness-testing experiments. Finally, some suggestions are given to improve the robustness.
