A Point Cloud Transformer for Remote Monitoring and Automated Assessment of Physical Rehabilitation ExercisesKazi Rafat, Md. Ismail Hossain, M M Lutfe Elahi et al.
Rehabilitation exercises are essential in restoring lost physical functions of patients suffering from various diseases (e.g., Parkinson's, back pain). Carrying out these rehabilitation exercises, often prescribed by health experts, is costly, unavailable, and requires expert supervision. The availability of RGBD images and movement/position data of joints along with expert annotation of exercise data has prompted the use of automatic assessment of the quality of rehabilitation exercises, which is cost-effective and can be carried out at home. However, existing approaches do not extract relevant features, lack practical application, require expensive pre-processing, or overlook crucial features. This study proposes a transformer-based framework for point clouds to extract features and assess rehabilitation exercises by analyzing joint positions collected through RGBD data. We adapt and utilize a curve-based point-cloud feature aggregation technique to augment point-cloud information that aids model output. The transformer architecture also uses axial self-attention, recognizing important joints and their roles to assist users in performing the exercise better. The guided system outperforms existing approaches and is also practically relevant due to its small size, fast inference, and generalization on specific joints in similar exercises. We conduct our experiments on three crucial baseline datasets for rehabilitation exercises: Kimore, UI-PRMD, and IRDS.

RubricsTree: Scalable and Evolving Open-Ended Evaluation of Personal Health Agents across Health Memory and Medical SkillsWeizhi Zhang, Zechen Li, Hamid Palangi et al.
The LLM-empowered personal health agents with user health (sensor) metrics have offered a promising pathway to alleviate global disparities in healthcare access. However, large-scale clinical deployment remains constrained by an open-ended evaluation bottleneck: physician annotation is reliable but costly and unscalable, while LLM-as-a-judge evaluators are scalable but subjective, inconsistent, and sometimes clinically misaligned. We introduce RubricsTree, a scalable evaluation framework with an expert-aligned hierarchical taxonomy of over 100 atomic, clinically-verifiable Boolean rubrics, evolving from the insights of 4,000 real user queries through an iterative human-in-the-loop curation protocol with an expertise panel led by an experienced physician. A context-aware adaptive router activates only the relevant auto-weighted rubric subset per query, providing the throughput needed for scalable evaluation with expert-aligned quality. Through a systematic meta-evaluation, we show that RubricsTree (i) substantially exceeds a strong large-scale evaluation baseline in expert alignment on challenging open-ended queries; (ii) reliably penalizes contextually degraded responses; and (iii) when used as structured instructions, text feedback, or training rewards for performance optimization, yields up to ~66% relative gains on HealthBench for Gemini, GPT, and Qwen model families. RubricsTree thus provides a scalable, auditable, and evolving evaluation infrastructure required for the continuous optimization of product-level personal healthcare AI.

YTClickbait21K: Human-Annotated Multimodal Dataset for YouTube Clickbait Detection Across Diverse Channels and Content CategoriesMd. Minhazul Islam, Md. Tanbeer Jubaer, Amith Khandakar et al.
Clickbait content on video-sharing platforms poses a significant challenge to information reliability, yet progress in automated detection has been constrained by the lack of large-scale, high-quality multimodal datasets. We present YTClickbait21K, a human-annotated YouTube clickbait dataset comprising 21,238 videos collected from 40 channels across 29 countries, covering diverse content categories such as news, entertainment, education, and gaming. Each sample includes structured metadata (title, description, engagement statistics) along with associated thumbnail images, enabling comprehensive multimodal analysis. To ensure annotation quality, every video was independently labeled by three annotators using a standardized decision framework that incorporates textual, visual, and cross-modal consistency cues, with final labels determined through majority voting. The dataset exhibits substantial inter-annotator agreement (k=0.65), confirming reliable labeling despite the inherent subjectivity of clickbait detection. By combining scale, annotation rigor, and multimodal richness, this dataset provides a robust benchmark for developing and evaluating machine learning models, facilitating research in cross-modal semantic understanding, and advancing automated content moderation systems.

VeriSimpl: Robust Optimization Modeling from Natural Language using Simplification-based VerificationSumaya Abdul Rahman, Seckhen Ariel Andrade Cuellar, Ghani Raissov et al.
Natural language interfaces can greatly benefit the accessibility and usability of optimization modeling, and recent advances in large language models (LLMs) show promise in automatically translating textual problem descriptions into executable solver formulations. However, a key challenge for existing approaches is to ensure that the inferred formulation correctly implements the intended task, even if it may execute without errors. We introduce VeriSimpl, a solver LLM framework for robust natural-language-to-optimization formalization. Our approach is based on the idea of simplification-based verification, where the optimization solver is leveraged to generate simplified diagnostic queries about a candidate formulation to allow the LLM to tractably reason about the correctness of the formulation with respect to the task description. We present such simplification strategies along different dimensions with respect to problem constraints and decision variables, which allow the LLM to reason locally under fixed global contexts. Evaluations on a range of optimization benchmarks show how our approach provides consistent improvements in accuracy over existing methods, while also providing a novel high-precision self-verification signal.
