SkillsBench: Benchmarking How Well Agent Skills Work Across Diverse Tasks

Xiangyi Li, Wenbo Chen, Yimin Liu et al. · berkeley

Agent Skills are structured packages of procedural knowledge that augment LLM agents at inference time. Despite rapid adoption, there is no standard way to measure whether they actually help. We present SkillsBench, a benchmark of 86 tasks across 11 domains paired with curated Skills and deterministic verifiers. Each task is evaluated under three conditions: no Skills, curated Skills, and self-generated Skills. We test 7 agent-model configurations over 7,308 trajectories. Curated Skills raise average pass rate by 16.2 percentage points(pp), but effects vary widely by domain (+4.5pp for Software Engineering to +51.9pp for Healthcare) and 16 of 84 tasks show negative deltas. Self-generated Skills provide no benefit on average, showing that models cannot reliably author the procedural knowledge they benefit from consuming. Focused Skills with 2--3 modules outperform comprehensive documentation, and smaller models with Skills can match larger models without them.

FIMP: Foundation Model-Informed Message Passing for Graph Neural Networks

Syed Asad Rizvi, Nazreen Pallikkavaliyaveetil, David Zhang et al.

Foundation models have achieved remarkable success across many domains, relying on pretraining over vast amounts of data. Graph-structured data often lacks the same scale as unstructured data, making the development of graph foundation models challenging. In this work, we propose Foundation-Informed Message Passing (FIMP), a Graph Neural Network (GNN) message-passing framework that leverages pretrained non-textual foundation models in graph-based tasks. We show that the self-attention layers of foundation models can effectively be repurposed on graphs to perform cross-node attention-based message-passing. Our model is evaluated on a real-world image network dataset and two biological applications (single-cell RNA sequencing data and fMRI brain activity recordings) in both finetuned and zero-shot settings. FIMP outperforms strong baselines, demonstrating that it can effectively leverage state-of-the-art foundation models in graph tasks.

Boosting Adversarial Transferability of MLP-Mixer

Haoran Lyu, Yajie Wang, Yu-an Tan et al.

The security of models based on new architectures such as MLP-Mixer and ViTs needs to be studied urgently. However, most of the current researches are mainly aimed at the adversarial attack against ViTs, and there is still relatively little adversarial work on MLP-mixer. We propose an adversarial attack method against MLP-Mixer called Maxwell's demon Attack (MA). MA breaks the channel-mixing and token-mixing mechanism of MLP-Mixer by controlling the part input of MLP-Mixer's each Mixer layer, and disturbs MLP-Mixer to obtain the main information of images. Our method can mask the part input of the Mixer layer, avoid overfitting of the adversarial examples to the source model, and improve the transferability of cross-architecture. Extensive experimental evaluation demonstrates the effectiveness and superior performance of the proposed MA. Our method can be easily combined with existing methods and can improve the transferability by up to 38.0% on MLP-based ResMLP. Adversarial examples produced by our method on MLP-Mixer are able to exceed the transferability of adversarial examples produced using DenseNet against CNNs. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first work to study adversarial transferability of MLP-Mixer.

WebVR: Benchmarking Multimodal LLMs for WebPage Recreation from Videos via Human-Aligned Visual Rubrics

Yuhong Dai, Yanlin Lai, Mitt Huang et al.

Existing web-generation benchmarks rely on text prompts or static screenshots as input. However, videos naturally convey richer signals such as interaction flow, transition timing, and motion continuity, which are essential for faithful webpage recreation. Despite this potential, video-conditioned webpage generation remains largely unexplored, with no dedicated benchmark for this task. To fill this gap, we introduce WebVR, a benchmark that evaluates whether MLLMs can faithfully recreate webpages from demonstration videos. WebVR contains 175 webpages across diverse categories, all constructed through a controlled synthesis pipeline rather than web crawling, ensuring varied and realistic demonstrations without overlap with existing online pages. We also design a fine-grained, human-aligned visual rubric that evaluates the generated webpages across multiple dimensions. Experiments on 19 models reveal substantial gaps in recreating fine-grained style and motion quality, while the rubric-based automatic evaluation achieves 96% agreement with human preferences. We release the dataset, evaluation toolkit, and baseline results to support future research on video-to-webpage generation.

Unrestricted Adversarial Attacks on ImageNet Competition

Yuefeng Chen, Xiaofeng Mao, Yuan He et al.

Many works have investigated the adversarial attacks or defenses under the settings where a bounded and imperceptible perturbation can be added to the input. However in the real-world, the attacker does not need to comply with this restriction. In fact, more threats to the deep model come from unrestricted adversarial examples, that is, the attacker makes large and visible modifications on the image, which causes the model classifying mistakenly, but does not affect the normal observation in human perspective. Unrestricted adversarial attack is a popular and practical direction but has not been studied thoroughly. We organize this competition with the purpose of exploring more effective unrestricted adversarial attack algorithm, so as to accelerate the academical research on the model robustness under stronger unbounded attacks. The competition is held on the TianChi platform (\url{https://tianchi.aliyun.com/competition/entrance/531853/introduction}) as one of the series of AI Security Challengers Program.
