TRUST-Planner: Topology-guided Robust Trajectory Planner for AAVs with Uncertain Obstacle Spatial-temporal AvoidanceJunzhi Li, Teng Long, Jingliang Sun et al.
Despite extensive developments in motion planning of autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs), existing frameworks faces the challenges of local minima and deadlock in complex dynamic environments, leading to increased collision risks. To address these challenges, we present TRUST-Planner, a topology-guided hierarchical planning framework for robust spatial-temporal obstacle avoidance. In the frontend, a dynamic enhanced visible probabilistic roadmap (DEV-PRM) is proposed to rapidly explore topological paths for global guidance. The backend utilizes a uniform terminal-free minimum control polynomial (UTF-MINCO) and dynamic distance field (DDF) to enable efficient predictive obstacle avoidance and fast parallel computation. Furthermore, an incremental multi-branch trajectory management framework is introduced to enable spatio-temporal topological decision-making, while efficiently leveraging historical information to reduce replanning time. Simulation results show that TRUST-Planner outperforms baseline competitors, achieving a 96\% success rate and millisecond-level computation efficiency in tested complex environments. Real-world experiments further validate the feasibility and practicality of the proposed method.

Heterogeneous AAV Logistics Task Allocation: A Reinforcement Learning Enhanced Overlapping Coalition Formation Game ApproachYuze Zhou, Jingliang Sun, Junzhi Li et al.
In dynamic urban logistics, the stochastic emergence of time-sensitive tasks poses a significant optimality challenge for heterogeneous AAVs logistics task allocation. To address this problem, a reinforcement learning enhanced overlapping coalition formation game approach is proposed. A dynamic task allocation model is established, where global optimality is mathematically quantified by a generalized logistics cost coupling service quality and resource consumption. To deal with the time-varying task sets induced by stochastic order arrivals, a transformer-based soft actor-critic network is designed. By leveraging multi-head self-attention to encode variable-length logistics states and capture task-wise spatiotemporal dependencies, the learned policy adaptively guides coalition updates, replacing heuristic rules in the overlapping coalition formation game. On this basis, heterogeneous AAVs can form more efficient overlapping coalitions for dynamic logistics tasks. The resulting coalition formation process is proven to constitute an exact potential game, which guarantees convergence to a Nash-stable equilibrium within a finite number of iterations. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed algorithm effectively improves the optimality of task allocation under the generalized logistics cost criterion. In a scenario with 32 AAVs and 80 tasks, our algorithm achieves a 39.76% cost reduction compared with the heuristic OCF baseline. Indoor flight experiments further validate its practicality.

TIDE-Bench: Task-Aware and Diagnostic Evaluation of Tool-Integrated ReasoningYize Li, Junzhi Li, Jason Song et al.
Tool-integrated reasoning has emerged as a promising paradigm for enhancing large language models with external computation, retrieval, and execution capabilities. However, the field still lacks a high-quality and unified evaluation benchmark, and existing TIR evaluations remain limited in dataset quality, task diversity, diagnostic comprehensiveness, and evaluation efficiency. In this work, we introduce TIDE-Bench, a holistic and efficient benchmark for evaluating TIR methods, featuring three key advantages. First, it provides diverse task settings, combining widely used mathematical reasoning and knowledge-intensive QA tasks with two newly designed tasks, namely the tool-grounded experimental design task and the dynamic interactive task, to probe models' abilities in complex tool invocation and multi-tool coordination. Second, TIDE-Bench adopts a comprehensive yet task-aware evaluation protocol, jointly measuring final answer quality, process reliability, tool-use efficiency, and inference cost across heterogeneous task settings. Third, TIDE-Bench constructs high-quality and discriminative evaluation sets by filtering low-discrimination instances from existing datasets, substantially reducing evaluation cost while focusing on more challenging samples. Extensive experiments on multiple foundation models and TIR methods reveal persistent bottlenecks in tool grounding, offering insights for future TIR research.

Adaptive Stochastic Coefficients for Accelerating Diffusion SamplingRuoyu Wang, Beier Zhu, Junzhi Li et al.
Diffusion-based generative processes, formulated as differential equation solving, frequently balance computational speed with sample quality. Our theoretical investigation of ODE- and SDE-based solvers reveals complementary weaknesses: ODE solvers accumulate irreducible gradient error along deterministic trajectories, while SDE methods suffer from amplified discretization errors when the step budget is limited. Building upon this insight, we introduce AdaSDE, a novel single-step SDE solver that aims to unify the efficiency of ODEs with the error resilience of SDEs. Specifically, we introduce a single per-step learnable coefficient, estimated via lightweight distillation, which dynamically regulates the error correction strength to accelerate diffusion sampling. Notably, our framework can be integrated with existing solvers to enhance their capabilities. Extensive experiments demonstrate state-of-the-art performance: at 5 NFE, AdaSDE achieves FID scores of 4.18 on CIFAR-10, 8.05 on FFHQ and 6.96 on LSUN Bedroom. Information Utilization Ratio in Heuristic Optimization AlgorithmsJunzhi Li, Ying Tan
Heuristic algorithms are able to optimize objective functions efficiently because they use intelligently the information about the objective functions. Thus, information utilization is critical to the performance of heuristics. However, the concept of information utilization has remained vague and abstract because there is no reliable metric to reflect the extent to which the information about the objective function is utilized by heuristic algorithms. In this paper, the metric of information utilization ratio (IUR) is defined, which is the ratio of the utilized information quantity over the acquired information quantity in the search process. The IUR proves to be well-defined. Several examples of typical heuristic algorithms are given to demonstrate the procedure of calculating the IUR. Empirical evidences on the correlation between the IUR and the performance of a heuristic are also provided. The IUR can be an index of how finely an algorithm is designed and guide the invention of new heuristics and the improvement of existing ones.

A Cooperative Framework for Fireworks AlgorithmShaoqiu Zheng, Junzhi Li, Andreas Janecek et al.
This paper presents a cooperative framework for fireworks algorithm (CoFFWA). A detailed analysis of existing fireworks algorithm (FWA) and its recently developed variants has revealed that (i) the selection strategy lead to the contribution of the firework with the best fitness (core firework) for the optimization overwhelms the contributions of the rest of fireworks (non-core fireworks) in the explosion operator, (ii) the Gaussian mutation operator is not as effective as it is designed to be. To overcome these limitations, the CoFFWA is proposed, which can greatly enhance the exploitation ability of non-core fireworks by using independent selection operator and increase the exploration capacity by crowdness-avoiding cooperative strategy among the fireworks. Experimental results on the CEC2013 benchmark functions suggest that CoFFWA outperforms the state-of-the-art FWA variants, artificial bee colony, differential evolution, the standard particle swarm optimization (SPSO) in 2007 and the most recent SPSO in 2011 in term of convergence performance.
