Three-Dimensional Medical Image Fusion with Deformable Cross-AttentionLin Liu, Xinxin Fan, Chulong Zhang et al.
Multimodal medical image fusion plays an instrumental role in several areas of medical image processing, particularly in disease recognition and tumor detection. Traditional fusion methods tend to process each modality independently before combining the features and reconstructing the fusion image. However, this approach often neglects the fundamental commonalities and disparities between multimodal information. Furthermore, the prevailing methodologies are largely confined to fusing two-dimensional (2D) medical image slices, leading to a lack of contextual supervision in the fusion images and subsequently, a decreased information yield for physicians relative to three-dimensional (3D) images. In this study, we introduce an innovative unsupervised feature mutual learning fusion network designed to rectify these limitations. Our approach incorporates a Deformable Cross Feature Blend (DCFB) module that facilitates the dual modalities in discerning their respective similarities and differences. We have applied our model to the fusion of 3D MRI and PET images obtained from 660 patients in the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) dataset. Through the application of the DCFB module, our network generates high-quality MRI-PET fusion images. Experimental results demonstrate that our method surpasses traditional 2D image fusion methods in performance metrics such as Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM). Importantly, the capacity of our method to fuse 3D images enhances the information available to physicians and researchers, thus marking a significant step forward in the field. The code will soon be available online.

Bind-Your-Avatar: Multi-Talking-Character Video Generation with Dynamic 3D-mask-based Embedding RouterYubo Huang, Weiqiang Wang, Sirui Zhao et al.
Recent years have witnessed remarkable advances in audio-driven talking head generation. However, existing approaches predominantly focus on single-character scenarios. While some methods can create separate conversation videos between two individuals, the critical challenge of generating unified conversation videos with multiple physically co-present characters sharing the same spatial environment remains largely unaddressed. This setting presents two key challenges: audio-to-character correspondence control and the lack of suitable datasets featuring multi-character talking videos within the same scene. To address these challenges, we introduce Bind-Your-Avatar, an MM-DiT-based model specifically designed for multi-talking-character video generation in the same scene. Specifically, we propose (1) A novel framework incorporating a fine-grained Embedding Router that binds `who' and `speak what' together to address the audio-to-character correspondence control. (2) Two methods for implementing a 3D-mask embedding router that enables frame-wise, fine-grained control of individual characters, with distinct loss functions based on observed geometric priors and a mask refinement strategy to enhance the accuracy and temporal smoothness of the predicted masks. (3) The first dataset, to the best of our knowledge, specifically constructed for multi-talking-character video generation, and accompanied by an open-source data processing pipeline, and (4) A benchmark for the dual-talking-characters video generation, with extensive experiments demonstrating superior performance over multiple state-of-the-art methods.

O-DisCo-Edit: Object Distortion Control for Unified Realistic Video EditingYuqing Chen, Junjie Wang, Lin Liu et al.
Diffusion models have recently advanced video editing, yet controllable editing remains challenging due to the need for precise manipulation of diverse object properties. Current methods require different control signal for diverse editing tasks, which complicates model design and demands significant training resources. To address this, we propose O-DisCo-Edit, a unified framework that incorporates a novel object distortion control (O-DisCo). This signal, based on random and adaptive noise, flexibly encapsulates a wide range of editing cues within a single representation. Paired with a "copy-form" preservation module for preserving non-edited regions, O-DisCo-Edit enables efficient, high-fidelity editing through an effective training paradigm. Extensive experiments and comprehensive human evaluations consistently demonstrate that O-DisCo-Edit surpasses both specialized and multitask state-of-the-art methods across various video editing tasks. https://cyqii.github.io/O-DisCo-Edit.github.io/

UNSCT-HRNet: Modeling Anatomical Uncertainty for Landmark Detection in Total Hip ArthroplastyJiaxin Wan, Lin Liu, Haoran Wang et al.
Total hip arthroplasty (THA) relies on accurate landmark detection from radiographic images, but unstructured data caused by irregular patient postures or occluded anatomical markers pose significant challenges for existing methods. To address this, we propose UNSCT-HRNet (Unstructured CT - High-Resolution Net), a deep learning-based framework that integrates a Spatial Relationship Fusion (SRF) module and an Uncertainty Estimation (UE) module. The SRF module, utilizing coordinate convolution and polarized attention, enhances the model's ability to capture complex spatial relationships. Meanwhile, the UE module which based on entropy ensures predictions are anatomically relevant. For unstructured data, the proposed method can predict landmarks without relying on the fixed number of points, which shows higher accuracy and better robustness comparing with the existing methods. Our UNSCT-HRNet demonstrates over a 60% improvement across multiple metrics in unstructured data. The experimental results also reveal that our approach maintains good performance on the structured dataset. Overall, the proposed UNSCT-HRNet has the potential to be used as a new reliable, automated solution for THA surgical planning and postoperative monitoring.
