EG-ConMix: An Intrusion Detection Method based on Graph Contrastive LearningLijin Wu, Shanshan Lei, Feilong Liao et al.
As the number of IoT devices increases, security concerns become more prominent. The impact of threats can be minimized by deploying Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) by monitoring network traffic, detecting and discovering intrusions, and issuing security alerts promptly. Most intrusion detection research in recent years has been directed towards the pair of traffic itself without considering the interrelationships among them, thus limiting the monitoring of complex IoT network attack events. Besides, anomalous traffic in real networks accounts for only a small fraction, which leads to a severe imbalance problem in the dataset that makes algorithmic learning and prediction extremely difficult. In this paper, we propose an EG-ConMix method based on E-GraphSAGE, incorporating a data augmentation module to fix the problem of data imbalance. In addition, we incorporate contrastive learning to discern the difference between normal and malicious traffic samples, facilitating the extraction of key features. Extensive experiments on two publicly available datasets demonstrate the superior intrusion detection performance of EG-ConMix compared to state-of-the-art methods. Remarkably, it exhibits significant advantages in terms of training speed and accuracy for large-scale graphs.
Deep Learning-Powered Electrical Brain Signals Analysis: Advancing Neurological DiagnosticsJiahe Li, Xin Chen, Fanqi Shen et al.
Neurological disorders pose major global health challenges, driving advances in brain signal analysis. Scalp electroencephalography (EEG) and intracranial EEG (iEEG) are widely used for diagnosis and monitoring. However, dataset heterogeneity and task variations hinder the development of robust deep learning solutions. This review systematically examines recent advances in deep learning approaches for EEG/iEEG-based neurological diagnostics, focusing on applications across 7 neurological conditions using 46 datasets. For each condition, we review representative methods and their quantitative results, integrating performance comparisons with analyses of data usage, model design, and task-specific adaptations, while highlighting the role of pre-trained multi-task models in achieving scalable, generalizable solutions. Finally, we propose a standardized benchmark to evaluate models across diverse datasets and improve reproducibility, emphasizing how recent innovations are transforming neurological diagnostics toward intelligent, adaptable healthcare systems.

Hierarchical Information Quadtree: Efficient Spatial Temporal Image Search for Multimedia StreamChengyuan Zhang, Ruipeng Chen, Lei Zhu et al.
Massive amount of multimedia data that contain times- tamps and geographical information are being generated at an unprecedented scale in many emerging applications such as photo sharing web site and social networks applications. Due to their importance, a large body of work has focused on efficiently computing various spatial image queries. In this paper,we study the spatial temporal image query which considers three important constraints during the search including time recency, spatial proximity and visual relevance. A novel index structure, namely Hierarchical Information Quadtree(\hiq), to efficiently insert/delete spatial temporal images with high arrive rates. Base on \hiq an efficient algorithm is developed to support spatial temporal image query. We show via extensive experimentation with real spatial databases clearly demonstrate the efficiency of our methods.
