O-Mamba: O-shape State-Space Model for Underwater Image Enhancement

Chenyu Dong, Chen Zhao, Weiling Cai et al.

Underwater image enhancement (UIE) face significant challenges due to complex underwater lighting conditions. Recently, mamba-based methods have achieved promising results in image enhancement tasks. However, these methods commonly rely on Vmamba, which focuses only on spatial information modeling and struggles to deal with the cross-color channel dependency problem in underwater images caused by the differential attenuation of light wavelengths, limiting the effective use of deep networks. In this paper, we propose a novel UIE framework called O-mamba. O-mamba employs an O-shaped dual-branch network to separately model spatial and cross-channel information, utilizing the efficient global receptive field of state-space models optimized for underwater images. To enhance information interaction between the two branches and effectively utilize multi-scale information, we design a Multi-scale Bi-mutual Promotion Module. This branch includes MS-MoE for fusing multi-scale information within branches, Mutual Promotion module for interaction between spatial and channel information across branches, and Cyclic Multi-scale optimization strategy to maximize the use of multi-scale information. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) results. The code is available at https://github.com/chenydong/O-Mamba.

Computation Offloading for Multi-server Multi-access Edge Vehicular Networks: A DDQN-based Method

Siyu Wang, Bo Yang, Zhiwen Yu et al.

In this paper, we investigate a multi-user offloading problem in the overlapping domain of a multi-server mobile edge computing system. We divide the original problem into two stages: the offloading decision making stage and the request scheduling stage. To prevent the terminal from going out of service area during offloading, we consider the mobility parameter of the terminal according to the human behaviour model when making the offloading decision, and then introduce a server evaluation mechanism based on both the mobility parameter and the server load to select the optimal offloading server. In order to fully utilise the server resources, we design a double deep Q-network (DDQN)-based reward evaluation algorithm that considers the priority of tasks when scheduling offload requests. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to verify that our proposed method outperforms traditional mathematical computation methods as well as the DQN algorithm.

Assured Data Deletion with Fine-grained Access Control for Fog-based Industrial Applications

Yong Yu, Liang Xue, Yannan Li et al.

The advances of cloud computing, fog computing and Internet of Things (IoT) make the industries more prosperous than ever. A wide range of industrial systems such as transportation systems and manufacturing systems have been developed by integrating cloud computing, fog computing and IoT successfully. Security and privacy issues are a major concern that hinders the wide adoptions of these novel techniques. In this paper, we focus on assured data deletion, an issue which is important but received less attention in academia and industry. We firstly propose a framework to integrate the cloud, the fog and the things together to manage the stored data from industries or individuals. We then focus on secure data deletion in this framework by proposing an assured data deletion scheme which fulfills fine-grained access control over sensitive data and verifiable data deletion. Only the data owners and the fog devices are involved when deleting a data key and validating the data deletion, which makes the protocol practical due to the features of low latency and real-time interaction of fog computing. The proposed protocol takes advantage of attribute-based encryption and is provably secure under the standard model. The theoretical analysis shows the good performance and functionality requirements while the implementation results demonstrate the feasibility of our proposal.
