ZeroRF: Fast Sparse View 360° Reconstruction with Zero PretrainingRuoxi Shi, Xinyue Wei, Cheng Wang et al.
We present ZeroRF, a novel per-scene optimization method addressing the challenge of sparse view 360° reconstruction in neural field representations. Current breakthroughs like Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) have demonstrated high-fidelity image synthesis but struggle with sparse input views. Existing methods, such as Generalizable NeRFs and per-scene optimization approaches, face limitations in data dependency, computational cost, and generalization across diverse scenarios. To overcome these challenges, we propose ZeroRF, whose key idea is to integrate a tailored Deep Image Prior into a factorized NeRF representation. Unlike traditional methods, ZeroRF parametrizes feature grids with a neural network generator, enabling efficient sparse view 360° reconstruction without any pretraining or additional regularization. Extensive experiments showcase ZeroRF's versatility and superiority in terms of both quality and speed, achieving state-of-the-art results on benchmark datasets. ZeroRF's significance extends to applications in 3D content generation and editing. Project page: https://sarahweiii.github.io/zerorf/

Real-time guidewire tracking and segmentation in intraoperative x-rayBaochang Zhang, Mai Bui, Cheng Wang et al.
During endovascular interventions, physicians have to perform accurate and immediate operations based on the available real-time information, such as the shape and position of guidewires observed on the fluoroscopic images, haptic information and the patients' physiological signals. For this purpose, real-time and accurate guidewire segmentation and tracking can enhance the visualization of guidewires and provide visual feedback for physicians during the intervention as well as for robot-assisted interventions. Nevertheless, this task often comes with the challenge of elongated deformable structures that present themselves with low contrast in the noisy fluoroscopic image sequences. To address these issues, a two-stage deep learning framework for real-time guidewire segmentation and tracking is proposed. In the first stage, a Yolov5s detector is trained, using the original X-ray images as well as synthetic ones, which is employed to output the bounding boxes of possible target guidewires. More importantly, a refinement module based on spatiotemporal constraints is incorporated to robustly localize the guidewire and remove false detections. In the second stage, a novel and efficient network is proposed to segment the guidewire in each detected bounding box. The network contains two major modules, namely a hessian-based enhancement embedding module and a dual self-attention module. Quantitative and qualitative evaluations on clinical intra-operative images demonstrate that the proposed approach significantly outperforms our baselines as well as the current state of the art and, in comparison, shows higher robustness to low quality images.

Kaleido: Open-Sourced Multi-Subject Reference Video Generation ModelZhenxing Zhang, Jiayan Teng, Zhuoyi Yang et al.
We present Kaleido, a subject-to-video~(S2V) generation framework, which aims to synthesize subject-consistent videos conditioned on multiple reference images of target subjects. Despite recent progress in S2V generation models, existing approaches remain inadequate at maintaining multi-subject consistency and at handling background disentanglement, often resulting in lower reference fidelity and semantic drift under multi-image conditioning. These shortcomings can be attributed to several factors. Primarily, the training dataset suffers from a lack of diversity and high-quality samples, as well as cross-paired data, i.e., paired samples whose components originate from different instances. In addition, the current mechanism for integrating multiple reference images is suboptimal, potentially resulting in the confusion of multiple subjects. To overcome these limitations, we propose a dedicated data construction pipeline, incorporating low-quality sample filtering and diverse data synthesis, to produce consistency-preserving training data. Moreover, we introduce Reference Rotary Positional Encoding (R-RoPE) to process reference images, enabling stable and precise multi-image integration. Extensive experiments across numerous benchmarks demonstrate that Kaleido significantly outperforms previous methods in consistency, fidelity, and generalization, marking an advance in S2V generation.
