Seed1.5-Thinking: Advancing Superb Reasoning Models with Reinforcement LearningByteDance Seed, Jiaze Chen, Tiantian Fan et al. · bytedance
We introduce Seed1.5-Thinking, capable of reasoning through thinking before responding, resulting in improved performance on a wide range of benchmarks. Seed1.5-Thinking achieves 86.7 on AIME 2024, 55.0 on Codeforces and 77.3 on GPQA, demonstrating excellent reasoning abilities in STEM and coding. Beyond reasoning tasks, the method demonstrates notable generalization across diverse domains. For instance, it surpasses DeepSeek R1 by 8% in win rate on non-reasoning tasks, indicating its broader applicability. Compared to other state-of-the-art reasoning models, Seed1.5-Thinking is a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) model with a relatively small size, featuring 20B activated and 200B total parameters. As part of our effort to assess generalized reasoning, we develop two internal benchmarks, BeyondAIME and Codeforces, both of which will be publicly released to support future research. Super-Resolving Blurry Images with EventsChi Zhang, Mingyuan Lin, Xiang Zhang et al.
Super-resolution from motion-blurred images poses a significant challenge due to the combined effects of motion blur and low spatial resolution. To address this challenge, this paper introduces an Event-based Blurry Super Resolution Network (EBSR-Net), which leverages the high temporal resolution of events to mitigate motion blur and improve high-resolution image prediction. Specifically, we propose a multi-scale center-surround event representation to fully capture motion and texture information inherent in events. Additionally, we design a symmetric cross-modal attention module to fully exploit the complementarity between blurry images and events. Furthermore, we introduce an intermodal residual group composed of several residual dense Swin Transformer blocks, each incorporating multiple Swin Transformer layers and a residual connection, to extract global context and facilitate inter-block feature aggregation. Extensive experiments show that our method compares favorably against state-of-the-art approaches and achieves remarkable performance.

TempoMaster: Efficient Long Video Generation via Next-Frame-Rate PredictionYukuo Ma, Cong Liu, Junke Wang et al.
We present TempoMaster, a novel framework that formulates long video generation as next-frame-rate prediction. Specifically, we first generate a low-frame-rate clip that serves as a coarse blueprint of the entire video sequence, and then progressively increase the frame rate to refine visual details and motion continuity. During generation, TempoMaster employs bidirectional attention within each frame-rate level while performing autoregression across frame rates, thus achieving long-range temporal coherence while enabling efficient and parallel synthesis. Extensive experiments demonstrate that TempoMaster establishes a new state-of-the-art in long video generation, excelling in both visual and temporal quality.

Exploring Siamese Networks in Self-Supervised Fast MRI ReconstructionLiyan Sun, Shaocong Yu, Chi Zhang et al.
Reconstructing MR images using deep neural networks from undersampled k-space data without using fully sampled training references offers significant value in practice, which is a self-supervised regression problem calling for effective prior knowledge and supervision. The Siamese architectures are motivated by the definition "invariance" and shows promising results in unsupervised visual representative learning. Building homologous transformed images and avoiding trivial solutions are two major challenges in Siamese-based self-supervised model. In this work, we explore Siamese architecture for MRI reconstruction in a self-supervised training fashion called SiamRecon. We show the proposed approach mimics an expectation maximization algorithm. The alternative optimization provide effective supervision signal and avoid collapse. The proposed SiamRecon achieves the state-of-the-art reconstruction accuracy in the field of self-supervised learning on both single-coil brain MRI and multi-coil knee MRI.
