Team AcieLee: Technical Report for EPIC-SOUNDS Audio-Based Interaction Recognition Challenge 2023Yuqi Li, Yizhi Luo, Xiaoshuai Hao et al.
In this report, we describe the technical details of our submission to the EPIC-SOUNDS Audio-Based Interaction Recognition Challenge 2023, by Team "AcieLee" (username: Yuqi\_Li). The task is to classify the audio caused by interactions between objects, or from events of the camera wearer. We conducted exhaustive experiments and found learning rate step decay, backbone frozen, label smoothing and focal loss contribute most to the performance improvement. After training, we combined multiple models from different stages and integrated them into a single model by assigning fusion weights. This proposed method allowed us to achieve 3rd place in the CVPR 2023 workshop of EPIC-SOUNDS Audio-Based Interaction Recognition Challenge.

Hierarchical Memory Orchestration for Personalized Persistent AgentsJunming Liu, Yifei Sun, Weihua Cheng et al.
While long-term memory is essential for intelligent agents to maintain consistent historical awareness, the accumulation of extensive interaction data often leads to performance bottlenecks. Naive storage expansion increases retrieval noise and computational latency, overwhelming the reasoning capacity of models deployed on constrained personal devices. To address this, we propose Hierarchical Memory Orchestration (HMO), a framework that organizes interaction history into a three-tiered directory driven by user-centric contextual relevance. Our system maintains a compact primary cache, coupling recent and pivotal memories with an evolving user profile to ensure agent reasoning remains aligned with individual behavioral traits. This primary cache is complemented by a high-priority secondary layer, both of which are managed within a global archive of the full interaction history. Crucially, the user persona dictates memory redistribution across this hierarchy, promoting records mapped to long-term patterns toward more active tiers while relegating less relevant information. This targeted orchestration surfaces historical knowledge precisely when needed while maintaining a lean and efficient active search space. Evaluations on multiple benchmarks achieve state-of-the-art performance. Real-world deployments in ecosystems like OpenClaw demonstrate that HMO significantly enhances agent fluidity and personalization.

A Generic Layer Pruning Method for Signal Modulation Recognition Deep Learning ModelsYao Lu, Yutao Zhu, Yuqi Li et al.
With the successful application of deep learning in communications systems, deep neural networks are becoming the preferred method for signal classification. Although these models yield impressive results, they often come with high computational complexity and large model sizes, which hinders their practical deployment in communication systems. To address this challenge, we propose a novel layer pruning method. Specifically, we decompose the model into several consecutive blocks, each containing consecutive layers with similar semantics. Then, we identify layers that need to be preserved within each block based on their contribution. Finally, we reassemble the pruned blocks and fine-tune the compact model. Extensive experiments on five datasets demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our method over a variety of state-of-the-art baselines, including layer pruning and channel pruning methods.
