Multi-dimension Queried and Interacting Network for Stereo Image DerainingYuanbo Wen, Tao Gao, Ziqi Li et al.
Eliminating the rain degradation in stereo images poses a formidable challenge, which necessitates the efficient exploitation of mutual information present between the dual views. To this end, we devise MQINet, which employs multi-dimension queries and interactions for stereo image deraining. More specifically, our approach incorporates a context-aware dimension-wise queried block (CDQB). This module leverages dimension-wise queries that are independent of the input features and employs global context-aware attention (GCA) to capture essential features while avoiding the entanglement of redundant or irrelevant information. Meanwhile, we introduce an intra-view physics-aware attention (IPA) based on the inverse physical model of rainy images. IPA extracts shallow features that are sensitive to the physics of rain degradation, facilitating the reduction of rain-related artifacts during the early learning period. Furthermore, we integrate a cross-view multi-dimension interacting attention mechanism (CMIA) to foster comprehensive feature interaction between the two views across multiple dimensions. Extensive experimental evaluations demonstrate the superiority of our model over EPRRNet and StereoIRR, achieving respective improvements of 4.18 dB and 0.45 dB in PSNR. Encoder-minimal and Decoder-minimal Framework for Remote Sensing Image DehazingYuanbo Wen, Tao Gao, Ziqi Li et al.
Haze obscures remote sensing images, hindering valuable information extraction. To this end, we propose RSHazeNet, an encoder-minimal and decoder-minimal framework for efficient remote sensing image dehazing. Specifically, regarding the process of merging features within the same level, we develop an innovative module called intra-level transposed fusion module (ITFM). This module employs adaptive transposed self-attention to capture comprehensive context-aware information, facilitating the robust context-aware feature fusion. Meanwhile, we present a cross-level multi-view interaction module (CMIM) to enable effective interactions between features from various levels, mitigating the loss of information due to the repeated sampling operations. In addition, we propose a multi-view progressive extraction block (MPEB) that partitions the features into four distinct components and employs convolution with varying kernel sizes, groups, and dilation factors to facilitate view-progressive feature learning. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superiority of our proposed RSHazeNet. We release the source code and all pre-trained models at \url{https://github.com/chdwyb/RSHazeNet}.
Multiplication fusion of sparse and collaborative-competitive representation for image classificationZi-Qi Li, Jun Sun, Xiao-Jun Wu et al.
Representation based classification methods have become a hot research topic during the past few years, and the two most prominent approaches are sparse representation based classification (SRC) and collaborative representation based classification (CRC). CRC reveals that it is the collaborative representation rather than the sparsity that makes SRC successful. Nevertheless, the dense representation of CRC may not be discriminative which will degrade its performance for classification tasks. To alleviate this problem to some extent, we propose a new method called sparse and collaborative-competitive representation based classification (SCCRC) for image classification. Firstly, the coefficients of the test sample are obtained by SRC and CCRC, respectively. Then the fused coefficient is derived by multiplying the coefficients of SRC and CCRC. Finally, the test sample is designated to the class that has the minimum residual. Experimental results on several benchmark databases demonstrate the efficacy of our proposed SCCRC. The source code of SCCRC is accessible at https://github.com/li-zi-qi/SCCRC.

CONCERTO: Complex Query Execution Mechanism-Aware Learned Cost EstimationKaixin Zhang, Hongzhi Wang, Kunkai Gu et al.
With the growing demand for massive data analysis, many DBMSs have adopted complex underlying query execution mechanisms, including vectorized operators, parallel execution, and dynamic pipeline modifications. However, there remains a lack of targeted Query Performance Prediction (QPP) methods for these complex execution mechanisms and their interactions, as most existing approaches focus on traditional tree-shaped query plans and static serial executors. To address this challenge, this paper proposes CONCERTO, a Complex query executiON meChanism-awaE leaRned cosT estimatiOn method. CONCERTO first establishes independent resource cost models for each physical operator. It then constructs a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) consisting of a dataflow tree backbone and resource competition relationships among concurrent operators. After calibrating the cost impact of parallel operator execution using Graph Attention Networks (GATs) with additional attention mechanisms, CONCERTO extracts and aggregates cost vector trees through Temporal Convolutional Networks (TCNs), ultimately achieving effective query performance prediction. Experimental results demonstrate that CONCERTO achieves higher prediction accuracy than existing methods.

2DR1-PCA and 2DL1-PCA: two variant 2DPCA algorithms based on none L2 normXing Liu, Xiao-Jun Wu, Zi-Qi Li
In this paper, two novel methods: 2DR1-PCA and 2DL1-PCA are proposed for face recognition. Compared to the traditional 2DPCA algorithm, 2DR1-PCA and 2DL1-PCA are based on the R1 norm and L1 norm, respectively. The advantage of these proposed methods is they are less sensitive to outliers. These proposed methods are tested on the ORL, YALE and XM2VTS databases and the performance of the related methods is compared experimentally.
