Decoupling Bidirectional Geometric Representations of 4D cost volume with 2D convolutionXiaobao Wei, Changyong Shu, Zhaokun Yue et al.
High-performance real-time stereo matching methods invariably rely on 3D regularization of the cost volume, which is unfriendly to mobile devices. And 2D regularization based methods struggle in ill-posed regions. In this paper, we present a deployment-friendly 4D cost aggregation network DBStereo, which is based on pure 2D convolutions. Specifically, we first provide a thorough analysis of the decoupling characteristics of 4D cost volume. And design a lightweight bidirectional geometry aggregation block to capture spatial and disparity representation respectively. Through decoupled learning, our approach achieves real-time performance and impressive accuracy simultaneously. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our proposed DBStereo outperforms all existing aggregation-based methods in both inference time and accuracy, even surpassing the iterative-based method IGEV-Stereo. Our study break the empirical design of using 3D convolutions for 4D cost volume and provides a simple yet strong baseline of the proposed decouple aggregation paradigm for further study. The Internet of Responsibilities-Connecting Human Responsibilities using Big Data and BlockchainXuejiao Tang, Jiong Qiu, Wenbin Zhang et al.
Accountability in the workplace is critically important and remains a challenging problem, especially with respect to workplace safety management. In this paper, we introduce a novel notion, the Internet of Responsibilities, for accountability management. Our method sorts through the list of responsibilities with respect to hazardous positions. The positions are interconnected using directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) indicating the hierarchy of responsibilities in the organization. In addition, the system detects and collects responsibilities, and represents risk areas in terms of the positions of the responsibility nodes. Finally, an automatic reminder and assignment system is used to enforce a strict responsibility control without human intervention. Using blockchain technology, we further extend our system with the capability to store, recover and encrypt responsibility data. We show that through the application of the Internet of Responsibility network model driven by Big Data, enterprise and government agencies can attain a highly secured and safe workplace. Therefore, our model offers a combination of interconnected responsibilities, accountability, monitoring, and safety which is crucial for the protection of employees and the success of organizations.
FedCAP: Robust Federated Learning via Customized Aggregation and PersonalizationYoupeng Li, Xinda Wang, Fuxun Yu et al.
Federated learning (FL), an emerging distributed machine learning paradigm, has been applied to various privacy-preserving scenarios. However, due to its distributed nature, FL faces two key issues: the non-independent and identical distribution (non-IID) of user data and vulnerability to Byzantine threats. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose FedCAP, a robust FL framework against both data heterogeneity and Byzantine attacks. The core of FedCAP is a model update calibration mechanism to help a server capture the differences in the direction and magnitude of model updates among clients. Furthermore, we design a customized model aggregation rule that facilitates collaborative training among similar clients while accelerating the model deterioration of malicious clients. With a Euclidean norm-based anomaly detection mechanism, the server can quickly identify and permanently remove malicious clients. Moreover, the impact of data heterogeneity and Byzantine attacks can be further mitigated through personalization on the client side. We conduct extensive experiments, comparing multiple state-of-the-art baselines, to demonstrate that FedCAP performs well in several non-IID settings and shows strong robustness under a series of poisoning attacks.
