DataGpt-SQL-7B: An Open-Source Language Model for Text-to-SQL

In addressing the pivotal role of translating natural language queries into SQL commands, we propose a suite of compact, fine-tuned models and self-refine mechanisms to democratize data access and analysis for non-expert users, mitigating risks associated with closed-source Large Language Models. Specifically, we constructed a dataset of over 20K sample for Text-to-SQL as well as the preference dateset, to improve the efficiency in the domain of SQL generation. To further ensure code validity, a code corrector was integrated into the model. Our system, DataGpt-sql, achieved 87.2\% accuracy on the spider-dev, respectively, showcasing the effectiveness of our solution in text-to-SQL conversion tasks. HyperVL: An Efficient and Dynamic Multimodal Large Language Model for Edge Devices

Current multimodal large lanauge models possess strong perceptual and reasoning capabilities, however high computational and memory requirements make them difficult to deploy directly on on-device environments. While small-parameter models are progressively endowed with strong general capabilities, standard Vision Transformer (ViT) encoders remain a critical bottleneck, suffering from excessive latency and memory consumption when processing high-resolution inputs.To address these challenges, we introduce HyperVL, an efficient multimodal large language model tailored for on-device inference. HyperVL adopts an image-tiling strategy to cap peak memory usage and incorporates two novel techniques: (1) a Visual Resolution Compressor (VRC) that adaptively predicts optimal encoding resolutions to eliminate redundant computation, and (2) Dual Consistency Learning (DCL), which aligns multi-scale ViT encoders within a unified framework, enabling dynamic switching between visual branches under a shared LLM. Extensive experiments demonstrate that HyperVL achieves state-of-the-art performance among models of comparable size across multiple benchmarks. Furthermore, it significantly significantly reduces latency and power consumption on real mobile devices, demonstrating its practicality for on-device multimodal inference.

Black-box Prompt Tuning with Subspace Learning

Black-box prompt tuning employs derivative-free optimization algorithms to learn prompts within low-dimensional subspaces rather than back-propagating through the network of Large Language Models (LLMs). Recent studies reveal that black-box prompt tuning lacks versatility across tasks and LLMs, which we believe is related to the suboptimal choice of subspaces. In this paper, we introduce Black-box prompt tuning with Subspace Learning (BSL) to enhance the versatility of black-box prompt tuning. Based on the assumption that nearly optimal prompts for similar tasks reside in a common subspace, we propose identifying such subspaces through meta-learning on a collection of similar source tasks. Consequently, for a target task that shares similarities with the source tasks, we expect that optimizing within the identified subspace can yield a prompt that performs well on the target task. Experimental results confirm that our BSL framework consistently achieves competitive performance across various downstream tasks and LLMs.

DocRED: A Large-Scale Document-Level Relation Extraction Dataset

Multiple entities in a document generally exhibit complex inter-sentence relations, and cannot be well handled by existing relation extraction (RE) methods that typically focus on extracting intra-sentence relations for single entity pairs. In order to accelerate the research on document-level RE, we introduce DocRED, a new dataset constructed from Wikipedia and Wikidata with three features: (1) DocRED annotates both named entities and relations, and is the largest human-annotated dataset for document-level RE from plain text; (2) DocRED requires reading multiple sentences in a document to extract entities and infer their relations by synthesizing all information of the document; (3) along with the human-annotated data, we also offer large-scale distantly supervised data, which enables DocRED to be adopted for both supervised and weakly supervised scenarios. In order to verify the challenges of document-level RE, we implement recent state-of-the-art methods for RE and conduct a thorough evaluation of these methods on DocRED. Empirical results show that DocRED is challenging for existing RE methods, which indicates that document-level RE remains an open problem and requires further efforts. Based on the detailed analysis on the experiments, we discuss multiple promising directions for future research.
