Benchmarking Multimodal LLMs on Code Generation for Complex Interactive Webpages

Recent advancements in multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have achieved remarkable progress in multimodal reasoning and code generation, catalyzing a new paradigm for front-end development. In particular, these models can directly transform visual designs into executable code, significantly improving the efficiency and adaptability of web development. Modern web applications are dynamic and interactive, featuring frequent user-page interactions. However, existing benchmarks largely evaluate the code generation of static webpages, ignoring the complex interactive behaviors in real-world applications. Besides, their evaluation criteria remain confined to visual fidelity and code structure, overlooking the interaction consistency between the generated and the reference webpages. To address these limitations, we introduce WebIGBench, the first benchmark designed to evaluate code generation for interactive webpages with complex interactions. By combining manually designed interaction paths with UI automation, we collected 103 complex webpages from real-world websites. This benchmark covers 5 popular interactive action types (e.g., click, input) involving 871 distinct interactive actions. Moreover, we propose a novel evaluation pipeline to address the gap in automated assessment of interactive actions. Extensive experiments on several representative MLLMs reveal the performance boundaries of current models in interactive webpage code generation using WebIGBench. Walle: An End-to-End, General-Purpose, and Large-Scale Production System for Device-Cloud Collaborative Machine Learning

To break the bottlenecks of mainstream cloud-based machine learning (ML) paradigm, we adopt device-cloud collaborative ML and build the first end-to-end and general-purpose system, called Walle, as the foundation. Walle consists of a deployment platform, distributing ML tasks to billion-scale devices in time; a data pipeline, efficiently preparing task input; and a compute container, providing a cross-platform and high-performance execution environment, while facilitating daily task iteration. Specifically, the compute container is based on Mobile Neural Network (MNN), a tensor compute engine along with the data processing and model execution libraries, which are exposed through a refined Python thread-level virtual machine (VM) to support diverse ML tasks and concurrent task execution. The core of MNN is the novel mechanisms of operator decomposition and semi-auto search, sharply reducing the workload in manually optimizing hundreds of operators for tens of hardware backends and further quickly identifying the best backend with runtime optimization for a computation graph. The data pipeline introduces an on-device stream processing framework to enable processing user behavior data at source. The deployment platform releases ML tasks with an efficient push-then-pull method and supports multi-granularity deployment policies. We evaluate Walle in practical e-commerce application scenarios to demonstrate its effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability. Extensive micro-benchmarks also highlight the superior performance of MNN and the Python thread-level VM. Walle has been in large-scale production use in Alibaba, while MNN has been open source with a broad impact in the community.

MinerU: An Open-Source Solution for Precise Document Content Extraction

Document content analysis has been a crucial research area in computer vision. Despite significant advancements in methods such as OCR, layout detection, and formula recognition, existing open-source solutions struggle to consistently deliver high-quality content extraction due to the diversity in document types and content. To address these challenges, we present MinerU, an open-source solution for high-precision document content extraction. MinerU leverages the sophisticated PDF-Extract-Kit models to extract content from diverse documents effectively and employs finely-tuned preprocessing and postprocessing rules to ensure the accuracy of the final results. Experimental results demonstrate that MinerU consistently achieves high performance across various document types, significantly enhancing the quality and consistency of content extraction. SecretGen: Privacy Recovery on Pre-Trained Models via Distribution Discrimination

Transfer learning through the use of pre-trained models has become a growing trend for the machine learning community. Consequently, numerous pre-trained models are released online to facilitate further research. However, it raises extensive concerns on whether these pre-trained models would leak privacy-sensitive information of their training data. Thus, in this work, we aim to answer the following questions: "Can we effectively recover private information from these pre-trained models? What are the sufficient conditions to retrieve such sensitive information?" We first explore different statistical information which can discriminate the private training distribution from other distributions. Based on our observations, we propose a novel private data reconstruction framework, SecretGen, to effectively recover private information. Compared with previous methods which can recover private data with the ground true prediction of the targeted recovery instance, SecretGen does not require such prior knowledge, making it more practical. We conduct extensive experiments on different datasets under diverse scenarios to compare SecretGen with other baselines and provide a systematic benchmark to better understand the impact of different auxiliary information and optimization operations. We show that without prior knowledge about true class prediction, SecretGen is able to recover private data with similar performance compared with the ones that leverage such prior knowledge. If the prior knowledge is given, SecretGen will significantly outperform baseline methods. We also propose several quantitative metrics to further quantify the privacy vulnerability of pre-trained models, which will help the model selection for privacy-sensitive applications. OSM+: Billion-Level OpenStreetMap Dataset for City-wide Experiments

Road network data provides rich information about cities, but processing worldwide OpenStreetMap (OSM) data is computationally intensive, and the resulting graphs are often difficult to unify for benchmarking downstream tasks. Existing graph learning benchmarks fail to capture the billion-scale and unique topological properties of real-world road networks, leaving model scalability underexplored. To close this gap, we process OSM data with distributed cloud computing using 5,000 cores and release \textbf{OSM+}, a structured worldwide 1-billion-vertex road network graph dataset designed for high accessibility and usability. OSM+ is open source and globally downloadable, providing an open-box graph structure and an easy spatial query interface; the evaluated release is a fixed snapshot for reproducibility, with a versioned update plan for future releases. We demonstrate the utility of OSM+ through three illustrative use cases: city boundary detection, traffic prediction, and traffic policy control. For traffic prediction, we construct a new 31-city benchmark by processing traffic data and combining it with OSM+, enabling broader spatial coverage and more comprehensive evaluation than commonly used datasets, while scaling from hundreds of road network intersections to thousands. For traffic policy control, we release a new six-city dataset at a much larger scale, introducing challenges for thousand-scale multi-agent coordination. We also provide data processing tools for integrating multimodal spatial-temporal data with OSM+ for geospatial foundation model training, thereby expediting the discovery of compelling scientific insights.

Intern-S1-Pro: Scientific Multimodal Foundation Model at Trillion Scale

We introduce Intern-S1-Pro, the first one-trillion-parameter scientific multimodal foundation model. Scaling to this unprecedented size, the model delivers a comprehensive enhancement across both general and scientific domains. Beyond stronger reasoning and image-text understanding capabilities, its intelligence is augmented with advanced agent capabilities. Simultaneously, its scientific expertise has been vastly expanded to master over 100 specialized tasks across critical science fields, including chemistry, materials, life sciences, and earth sciences. Achieving this massive scale is made possible by the robust infrastructure support of XTuner and LMDeploy, which facilitates highly efficient Reinforcement Learning (RL) training at the 1-trillion parameter level while ensuring strict precision consistency between training and inference. By seamlessly integrating these advancements, Intern-S1-Pro further fortifies the fusion of general and specialized intelligence, working as a Specializable Generalist, demonstrating its position in the top tier of open-source models for general capabilities, while outperforming proprietary models in the depth of specialized scientific tasks.

Image Over Text: Transforming Formula Recognition Evaluation with Character Detection Matching

Formula recognition presents significant challenges due to the complicated structure and varied notation of mathematical expressions. Despite continuous advancements in formula recognition models, the evaluation metrics employed by these models, such as BLEU and Edit Distance, still exhibit notable limitations. They overlook the fact that the same formula has diverse representations and is highly sensitive to the distribution of training data, thereby causing unfairness in formula recognition evaluation. To this end, we propose a Character Detection Matching (CDM) metric, ensuring the evaluation objectivity by designing an image-level rather than a LaTeX-level metric score. Specifically, CDM renders both the model-predicted LaTeX and the ground-truth LaTeX formulas into image-formatted formulas, then employs visual feature extraction and localization techniques for precise character-level matching, incorporating spatial position information. Such a spatially-aware and character-matching method offers a more accurate and equitable evaluation compared with previous BLEU and Edit Distance metrics that rely solely on text-based character matching. Experimentally, we evaluated various formula recognition models using CDM, BLEU, and ExpRate metrics. Their results demonstrate that the CDM aligns more closely with human evaluation standards and provides a fairer comparison across different models by eliminating discrepancies caused by diverse formula representations. Case Study-Based Approach of Quantum Machine Learning in Cybersecurity: Quantum Support Vector Machine for Malware Classification and Protection

Quantum machine learning (QML) is an emerging field of research that leverages quantum computing to improve the classical machine learning approach to solve complex real world problems. QML has the potential to address cybersecurity related challenges. Considering the novelty and complex architecture of QML, resources are not yet explicitly available that can pave cybersecurity learners to instill efficient knowledge of this emerging technology. In this research, we design and develop QML-based ten learning modules covering various cybersecurity topics by adopting student centering case-study based learning approach. We apply one subtopic of QML on a cybersecurity topic comprised of pre-lab, lab, and post-lab activities towards providing learners with hands-on QML experiences in solving real-world security problems. In order to engage and motivate students in a learning environment that encourages all students to learn, pre-lab offers a brief introduction to both the QML subtopic and cybersecurity problem. In this paper, we utilize quantum support vector machine (QSVM) for malware classification and protection where we use open source Pennylane QML framework on the drebin215 dataset. We demonstrate our QSVM model and achieve an accuracy of 95% in malware classification and protection. We will develop all the modules and introduce them to the cybersecurity community in the coming days.

Understanding the Impact of Adversarial Robustness on Accuracy Disparity

While it has long been empirically observed that adversarial robustness may be at odds with standard accuracy and may have further disparate impacts on different classes, it remains an open question to what extent such observations hold and how the class imbalance plays a role within. In this paper, we attempt to understand this question of accuracy disparity by taking a closer look at linear classifiers under a Gaussian mixture model. We decompose the impact of adversarial robustness into two parts: an inherent effect that will degrade the standard accuracy on all classes due to the robustness constraint, and the other caused by the class imbalance ratio, which will increase the accuracy disparity compared to standard training. Furthermore, we also show that such effects extend beyond the Gaussian mixture model, by generalizing our data model to the general family of stable distributions. More specifically, we demonstrate that while the constraint of adversarial robustness consistently degrades the standard accuracy in the balanced class setting, the class imbalance ratio plays a fundamentally different role in accuracy disparity compared to the Gaussian case, due to the heavy tail of the stable distribution. We additionally perform experiments on both synthetic and real-world datasets to corroborate our theoretical findings. Our empirical results also suggest that the implications may extend to nonlinear models over real-world datasets. SoK: Privacy-Preserving Data Synthesis

As the prevalence of data analysis grows, safeguarding data privacy has become a paramount concern. Consequently, there has been an upsurge in the development of mechanisms aimed at privacy-preserving data analyses. However, these approaches are task-specific; designing algorithms for new tasks is a cumbersome process. As an alternative, one can create synthetic data that is (ideally) devoid of private information. This paper focuses on privacy-preserving data synthesis (PPDS) by providing a comprehensive overview, analysis, and discussion of the field. Specifically, we put forth a master recipe that unifies two prominent strands of research in PPDS: statistical methods and deep learning (DL)-based methods. Under the master recipe, we further dissect the statistical methods into choices of modeling and representation, and investigate the DL-based methods by different generative modeling principles. To consolidate our findings, we provide comprehensive reference tables, distill key takeaways, and identify open problems in the existing literature. In doing so, we aim to answer the following questions: What are the design principles behind different PPDS methods? How can we categorize these methods, and what are the advantages and disadvantages associated with each category? Can we provide guidelines for method selection in different real-world scenarios? We proceed to benchmark several prominent DL-based methods on the task of private image synthesis and conclude that DP-MERF is an all-purpose approach. Finally, upon systematizing the work over the past decade, we identify future directions and call for actions from researchers.

LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601 Technical Report

We introduce LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601, a 560-billion-parameter open-source Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) reasoning model with superior agentic reasoning capability. LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601 achieves state-of-the-art performance among open-source models on a wide range of agentic benchmarks, including agentic search, agentic tool use, and tool-integrated reasoning. Beyond benchmark performance, the model demonstrates strong generalization to complex tool interactions and robust behavior under noisy real-world environments. Its advanced capability stems from a unified training framework that combines domain-parallel expert training with subsequent fusion, together with an end-to-end co-design of data construction, environments, algorithms, and infrastructure spanning from pre-training to post-training. In particular, the model's strong generalization capability in complex tool-use are driven by our in-depth exploration of environment scaling and principled task construction. To optimize long-tailed, skewed generation and multi-turn agentic interactions, and to enable stable training across over 10,000 environments spanning more than 20 domains, we systematically extend our asynchronous reinforcement learning framework, DORA, for stable and efficient large-scale multi-environment training. Furthermore, recognizing that real-world tasks are inherently noisy, we conduct a systematic analysis and decomposition of real-world noise patterns, and design targeted training procedures to explicitly incorporate such imperfections into the training process, resulting in improved robustness for real-world applications. To further enhance performance on complex reasoning tasks, we introduce a Heavy Thinking mode that enables effective test-time scaling by jointly expanding reasoning depth and width through intensive parallel thinking.

SetupX: Can LLM Agents Learn from Past Failures in Functionality-Correct Code Repository Setup?

Functionality-correct repository setup aims to configure execution environments (e.g., dependencies, build scripts) to successfully execute a repository's documented features. It presents significant challenges due to diverse, repository-specific failures, including dependency incompatibilities, missing toolchains, incomplete installations, and verification-strategy mismatches. Existing LLM agents struggle to robustly resolve these issues, specifically failing to support (1) cross-repository experience transfer, (2) multi-step trial-and-repair under non-invertible state changes, and (3) robust verification of setup outcomes to distinguish setup-induced failures from repository bugs. To address this, we introduce SetupX, an experiential learning-based setup framework. First, we construct a Self-Evolving Experience Representation (XPU), a dual-modality knowledge unit encoding setup signals, textual guidance, executable actions to dynamically transfer verified environment fixes to unseen repositories. Second, we employ Experience-Augmented Speculative Execution backed by a LIFO Docker snapshot stack, enabling the agent to proactively trial fixes and safely roll back to known-good states. Third, we introduce a Prosecutor-Judge Verification Protocol that separates evidence collection from final judgment, enabling more reliable setup verification beyond superficial build-time metrics. Evaluation results on carefully-crafted benchmarks show SetupX achieves highest performance (e.g., 92% pass rate) and outperforms the strongest baseline by over 19%. Crucially, SetupX excels in complex multi-repository setup requiring coordinating multiple interconnected services across different containers. Malware Detection and Prevention using Artificial Intelligence Techniques

With the rapid technological advancement, security has become a major issue due to the increase in malware activity that poses a serious threat to the security and safety of both computer systems and stakeholders. To maintain stakeholders, particularly, end users security, protecting the data from fraudulent efforts is one of the most pressing concerns. A set of malicious programming code, scripts, active content, or intrusive software that is designed to destroy intended computer systems and programs or mobile and web applications is referred to as malware. According to a study, naive users are unable to distinguish between malicious and benign applications. Thus, computer systems and mobile applications should be designed to detect malicious activities towards protecting the stakeholders. A number of algorithms are available to detect malware activities by utilizing novel concepts including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. In this study, we emphasize Artificial Intelligence (AI) based techniques for detecting and preventing malware activity. We present a detailed review of current malware detection technologies, their shortcomings, and ways to improve efficiency. Our study shows that adopting futuristic approaches for the development of malware detection applications shall provide significant advantages. The comprehension of this synthesis shall help researchers for further research on malware detection and prevention using AI.

From Myopic Selection to Long-Horizon Awareness: Sequential LLM Routing for Multi-Turn Dialogue

Multi-turn dialogue is the predominant form of interaction with large language models (LLMs). While LLM routing is effective in single-turn settings, existing methods fail to maximize cumulative performance in multi-turn dialogue due to interaction dynamics and delayed rewards. To address this challenge, we move from myopic, single-turn selection to long-horizon sequential routing for multi-turn dialogue. Accordingly, we propose DialRouter, which first performs MCTS to explore dialogue branches induced by different LLM selections and collect trajectories with high cumulative rewards. DialRouter then learns a lightweight routing policy from search-derived data, augmented with retrieval-based future state approximation, enabling multi-turn routing without online search. Experiments on both open-domain and domain-specific dialogue tasks across diverse candidate sets of both open-source and closed-source LLMs demonstrate that DialRouter significantly outperforms single LLMs and existing routing baselines in task success rate, while achieving a superior performance-cost trade-off when combined with a cost-aware reward.

TRivia: Self-supervised Fine-tuning of Vision-Language Models for Table Recognition

Table recognition (TR) aims to transform table images into semi-structured representations such as HTML or Markdown. As a core component of document parsing, TR has long relied on supervised learning, with recent efforts dominated by fine-tuning vision-language models (VLMs) using labeled data. While VLMs have brought TR to the next level, pushing performance further demands large-scale labeled data that is costly to obtain. Consequently, although proprietary models have continuously pushed the performance boundary, open-source models, often trained with limited resources and, in practice, the only viable option for many due to privacy regulations, still lag far behind. To bridge this gap, we introduce TRivia, a self-supervised fine-tuning method that enables pretrained VLMs to learn TR directly from unlabeled table images in the wild. Built upon Group Relative Policy Optimization, TRivia automatically identifies unlabeled samples that most effectively facilitate learning and eliminates the need for human annotations through a question-answering-based reward mechanism. An attention-guided module generates diverse questions for each table image, and the ability to interpret the recognition results and answer them correctly provides feedback to optimize the TR model. This closed-loop process allows the TR model to autonomously learn to recognize, structure, and reason over tables without labeled data. Leveraging this pipeline, we present TRivia-3B, an open-sourced, compact, and state-of-the-art TR model that surpasses existing systems (e.g., Gemini 2.5 Pro, MinerU2.5) on three popular benchmarks. To Store or Not? Online Data Selection for Federated Learning with Limited Storage

Machine learning models have been deployed in mobile networks to deal with massive data from different layers to enable automated network management and intelligence on devices. To overcome high communication cost and severe privacy concerns of centralized machine learning, federated learning (FL) has been proposed to achieve distributed machine learning among networked devices. While the computation and communication limitation has been widely studied, the impact of on-device storage on the performance of FL is still not explored. Without an effective data selection policy to filter the massive streaming data on devices, classical FL can suffer from much longer model training time ($4\times$) and significant inference accuracy reduction ($7\%$), observed in our experiments. In this work, we take the first step to consider the online data selection for FL with limited on-device storage. We first define a new data valuation metric for data evaluation and selection in FL with theoretical guarantees for speeding up model convergence and enhancing final model accuracy, simultaneously. We further design {\ttfamily ODE}, a framework of \textbf{O}nline \textbf{D}ata s\textbf{E}lection for FL, to coordinate networked devices to store valuable data samples. Experimental results on one industrial dataset and three public datasets show the remarkable advantages of {\ttfamily ODE} over the state-of-the-art approaches. Particularly, on the industrial dataset, {\ttfamily ODE} achieves as high as $2.5\times$ speedup of training time and $6\%$ increase in inference accuracy, and is robust to various factors in practical environments.

MoDora: Tree-Based Semi-Structured Document Analysis System

Semi-structured documents integrate diverse interleaved data elements (e.g., tables, charts, hierarchical paragraphs) arranged in various and often irregular layouts. These documents are widely observed across domains and account for a large portion of real-world data. However, existing methods struggle to support natural language question answering over these documents due to three main technical challenges: (1) The elements extracted by techniques like OCR are often fragmented and stripped of their original semantic context, making them inadequate for analysis. (2) Existing approaches lack effective representations to capture hierarchical structures within documents (e.g., associating tables with nested chapter titles) and to preserve layout-specific distinctions (e.g., differentiating sidebars from main content). (3) Answering questions often requires retrieving and aligning relevant information scattered across multiple regions or pages, such as linking a descriptive paragraph to table cells located elsewhere in the document. To address these issues, we propose MoDora, an LLM-powered system for semi-structured document analysis. First, we adopt a local-alignment aggregation strategy to convert OCR-parsed elements into layout-aware components, and conduct type-specific information extraction for components with hierarchical titles or non-text elements. Second, we design the Component-Correlation Tree (CCTree) to hierarchically organize components, explicitly modeling inter-component relations and layout distinctions through a bottom-up cascade summarization process. Finally, we propose a question-type-aware retrieval strategy that supports (1) layout-based grid partitioning for location-based retrieval and (2) LLM-guided pruning for semantic-based retrieval. Can LLMs Clean Up Your Mess? A Survey of Application-Ready Data Preparation with LLMs

Data preparation aims to denoise raw datasets, uncover cross-dataset relationships, and extract valuable insights from them, which is essential for a wide range of data-centric applications. Driven by (i) rising demands for application-ready data (e.g., for analytics, visualization, decision-making), (ii) increasingly powerful LLM techniques, and (iii) the emergence of infrastructures that facilitate flexible agent construction (e.g., using Databricks Unity Catalog), LLM-enhanced methods are rapidly becoming a transformative and potentially dominant paradigm for data preparation. By investigating hundreds of recent literature works, this paper presents a systematic review of this evolving landscape, focusing on the use of LLM techniques to prepare data for diverse downstream tasks. First, we characterize the fundamental paradigm shift, from rule-based, model-specific pipelines to prompt-driven, context-aware, and agentic preparation workflows. Next, we introduce a task-centric taxonomy that organizes the field into three major tasks: data cleaning (e.g., standardization, error processing, imputation), data integration (e.g., entity matching, schema matching), and data enrichment (e.g., data annotation, profiling). For each task, we survey representative techniques, and highlight their respective strengths (e.g., improved generalization, semantic understanding) and limitations (e.g., the prohibitive cost of scaling LLMs, persistent hallucinations even in advanced agents, the mismatch between advanced methods and weak evaluation). Moreover, we analyze commonly used datasets and evaluation metrics (the empirical part). Finally, we discuss open research challenges and outline a forward-looking roadmap that emphasizes scalable LLM-data systems, principled designs for reliable agentic workflows, and robust evaluation protocols.

COPA: Certifying Robust Policies for Offline Reinforcement Learning against Poisoning Attacks

As reinforcement learning (RL) has achieved near human-level performance in a variety of tasks, its robustness has raised great attention. While a vast body of research has explored test-time (evasion) attacks in RL and corresponding defenses, its robustness against training-time (poisoning) attacks remains largely unanswered. In this work, we focus on certifying the robustness of offline RL in the presence of poisoning attacks, where a subset of training trajectories could be arbitrarily manipulated. We propose the first certification framework, COPA, to certify the number of poisoning trajectories that can be tolerated regarding different certification criteria. Given the complex structure of RL, we propose two certification criteria: per-state action stability and cumulative reward bound. To further improve the certification, we propose new partition and aggregation protocols to train robust policies. We further prove that some of the proposed certification methods are theoretically tight and some are NP-Complete problems. We leverage COPA to certify three RL environments trained with different algorithms and conclude: (1) The proposed robust aggregation protocols such as temporal aggregation can significantly improve the certifications; (2) Our certification for both per-state action stability and cumulative reward bound are efficient and tight; (3) The certification for different training algorithms and environments are different, implying their intrinsic robustness properties. VIGC: Visual Instruction Generation and Correction

The integration of visual encoders and large language models (LLMs) has driven recent progress in multimodal large language models (MLLMs). However, the scarcity of high-quality instruction-tuning data for vision-language tasks remains a challenge. The current leading paradigm, such as LLaVA, relies on language-only GPT-4 to generate data, which requires pre-annotated image captions and detection bounding boxes, suffering from understanding image details. A practical solution to this problem would be to utilize the available multimodal large language models (MLLMs) to generate instruction data for vision-language tasks. However, it's worth noting that the currently accessible MLLMs are not as powerful as their LLM counterparts, as they tend to produce inadequate responses and generate false information. As a solution for addressing the current issue, this paper proposes the Visual Instruction Generation and Correction (VIGC) framework that enables multimodal large language models to generate instruction-tuning data and progressively enhance its quality on-the-fly. Specifically, Visual Instruction Generation (VIG) guides the vision-language model to generate diverse instruction-tuning data. To ensure generation quality, Visual Instruction Correction (VIC) adopts an iterative update mechanism to correct any inaccuracies in data produced by VIG, effectively reducing the risk of hallucination. Leveraging the diverse, high-quality data generated by VIGC, we finetune mainstream models and validate data quality based on various evaluations. Experimental results demonstrate that VIGC not only compensates for the shortcomings of language-only data generation methods, but also effectively enhances the benchmark performance. Patient-Level Multimodal Question Answering from Multi-Site Auscultation Recordings

Auscultation is a vital diagnostic tool, yet its utility is often limited by subjective interpretation. While general-purpose Audio-Language Models (ALMs) excel in general domains, they struggle with the nuances of physiological signals. We propose a framework that aligns multi-site auscultation recordings directly with a frozen Large Language Model (LLM) embedding space via gated cross-attention. By leveraging the LLM's latent world knowledge, our approach moves beyond isolated classification toward holistic, patient-level assessment. On the CaReSound benchmark, our model achieves a state-of-the-art 0.865 F1-macro and 0.952 BERTScore. We demonstrate that lightweight, domain-specific encoders rival large-scale ALMs and that multi-site aggregation provides spatial redundancy that mitigates temporal truncation. This alignment of medical acoustics with text foundations offers a scalable path for bridging signal processing and clinical assessment.

DC-CCL: Device-Cloud Collaborative Controlled Learning for Large Vision Models

Many large vision models have been deployed on the cloud for real-time services. Meanwhile, fresh samples are continuously generated on the served mobile device. How to leverage the device-side samples to improve the cloud-side large model becomes a practical requirement, but falls into the dilemma of no raw sample up-link and no large model down-link. Specifically, the user may opt out of sharing raw samples with the cloud due to the concern of privacy or communication overhead, while the size of some large vision models far exceeds the mobile device's runtime capacity. In this work, we propose a device-cloud collaborative controlled learning framework, called DC-CCL, enabling a cloud-side large vision model that cannot be directly deployed on the mobile device to still benefit from the device-side local samples. In particular, DC-CCL vertically splits the base model into two submodels, one large submodel for learning from the cloud-side samples and the other small submodel for learning from the device-side samples and performing device-cloud knowledge fusion. Nevertheless, on-device training of the small submodel requires the output of the cloud-side large submodel to compute the desired gradients. DC-CCL thus introduces a light-weight model to mimic the large cloud-side submodel with knowledge distillation, which can be offloaded to the mobile device to control its small submodel's optimization direction. Given the decoupling nature of two submodels in collaborative learning, DC-CCL also allows the cloud to take a pre-trained model and the mobile device to take another model with a different backbone architecture.

Traffic State Estimation from Vehicle Trajectories with Anisotropic Gaussian Processes

Accurately monitoring road traffic state is crucial for various applications, including travel time prediction, traffic control, and traffic safety. However, the lack of sensors often results in incomplete traffic state data, making it challenging to obtain reliable information for decision-making. This paper proposes a novel method for imputing traffic state data using Gaussian processes (GP) to address this issue. We propose a kernel rotation re-parametrization scheme that transforms a standard isotropic GP kernel into an anisotropic kernel, which can better model the congestion propagation in traffic flow data. The model parameters can be estimated by statistical inference using data from sparse probe vehicles or loop detectors. Moreover, the rotated GP method provides statistical uncertainty quantification for the imputed traffic state, making it more reliable. We also extend our approach to a multi-output GP, which allows for simultaneously estimating the traffic state for multiple lanes. We evaluate our method using real-world traffic data from the Next Generation simulation (NGSIM) and HighD programs, along with simulated data representing a traffic bottleneck scenario. Considering current and future mixed traffic of connected vehicles (CVs) and human-driven vehicles (HVs), we experiment with the traffic state estimation (TSE) scheme from 5% to 50% available trajectories, mimicking different CV penetration rates in a mixed traffic environment. We also test the traffic state estimation when traffic flow information is obtained from loop detectors. The results demonstrate the adaptability of our TSE method across different CV penetration rates and types of detectors, achieving state-of-the-art accuracy in scenarios with sparse observation rates.

On-Device Model Fine-Tuning with Label Correction in Recommender Systems

To meet the practical requirements of low latency, low cost, and good privacy in online intelligent services, more and more deep learning models are offloaded from the cloud to mobile devices. To further deal with cross-device data heterogeneity, the offloaded models normally need to be fine-tuned with each individual user's local samples before being put into real-time inference. In this work, we focus on the fundamental click-through rate (CTR) prediction task in recommender systems and study how to effectively and efficiently perform on-device fine-tuning. We first identify the bottleneck issue that each individual user's local CTR (i.e., the ratio of positive samples in the local dataset for fine-tuning) tends to deviate from the global CTR (i.e., the ratio of positive samples in all the users' mixed datasets on the cloud for training out the initial model). We further demonstrate that such a CTR drift problem makes on-device fine-tuning even harmful to item ranking. We thus propose a novel label correction method, which requires each user only to change the labels of the local samples ahead of on-device fine-tuning and can well align the locally prior CTR with the global CTR. The offline evaluation results over three datasets and five CTR prediction models as well as the online A/B testing results in Mobile Taobao demonstrate the necessity of label correction in on-device fine-tuning and also reveal the improvement over cloud-based learning without fine-tuning.

Context Shift Reduction for Offline Meta-Reinforcement Learning

Offline meta-reinforcement learning (OMRL) utilizes pre-collected offline datasets to enhance the agent's generalization ability on unseen tasks. However, the context shift problem arises due to the distribution discrepancy between the contexts used for training (from the behavior policy) and testing (from the exploration policy). The context shift problem leads to incorrect task inference and further deteriorates the generalization ability of the meta-policy. Existing OMRL methods either overlook this problem or attempt to mitigate it with additional information. In this paper, we propose a novel approach called Context Shift Reduction for OMRL (CSRO) to address the context shift problem with only offline datasets. The key insight of CSRO is to minimize the influence of policy in context during both the meta-training and meta-test phases. During meta-training, we design a max-min mutual information representation learning mechanism to diminish the impact of the behavior policy on task representation. In the meta-test phase, we introduce the non-prior context collection strategy to reduce the effect of the exploration policy. Experimental results demonstrate that CSRO significantly reduces the context shift and improves the generalization ability, surpassing previous methods across various challenging domains.

Contrastive Modules with Temporal Attention for Multi-Task Reinforcement Learning

In the field of multi-task reinforcement learning, the modular principle, which involves specializing functionalities into different modules and combining them appropriately, has been widely adopted as a promising approach to prevent the negative transfer problem that performance degradation due to conflicts between tasks. However, most of the existing multi-task RL methods only combine shared modules at the task level, ignoring that there may be conflicts within the task. In addition, these methods do not take into account that without constraints, some modules may learn similar functions, resulting in restricting the model's expressiveness and generalization capability of modular methods. In this paper, we propose the Contrastive Modules with Temporal Attention(CMTA) method to address these limitations. CMTA constrains the modules to be different from each other by contrastive learning and combining shared modules at a finer granularity than the task level with temporal attention, alleviating the negative transfer within the task and improving the generalization ability and the performance for multi-task RL. We conducted the experiment on Meta-World, a multi-task RL benchmark containing various robotics manipulation tasks. Experimental results show that CMTA outperforms learning each task individually for the first time and achieves substantial performance improvements over the baselines.

Privately Aligning Language Models with Reinforcement Learning

Positioned between pre-training and user deployment, aligning large language models (LLMs) through reinforcement learning (RL) has emerged as a prevailing strategy for training instruction following-models such as ChatGPT. In this work, we initiate the study of privacy-preserving alignment of LLMs through Differential Privacy (DP) in conjunction with RL. Following the influential work of Ziegler et al. (2020), we study two dominant paradigms: (i) alignment via RL without human in the loop (e.g., positive review generation) and (ii) alignment via RL from human feedback (RLHF) (e.g., summarization in a human-preferred way). We give a new DP framework to achieve alignment via RL, and prove its correctness. Our experimental results validate the effectiveness of our approach, offering competitive utility while ensuring strong privacy protections.

ECLM: Efficient Edge-Cloud Collaborative Learning with Continuous Environment Adaptation

Pervasive mobile AI applications primarily employ one of the two learning paradigms: cloud-based learning (with powerful large models) or on-device learning (with lightweight small models). Despite their own advantages, neither paradigm can effectively handle dynamic edge environments with frequent data distribution shifts and on-device resource fluctuations, inevitably suffering from performance degradation. In this paper, we propose ECLM, an edge-cloud collaborative learning framework for rapid model adaptation for dynamic edge environments. We first propose a novel block-level model decomposition design to decompose the original large cloud model into multiple combinable modules. By flexibly combining a subset of the modules, this design enables the derivation of compact, task-specific sub-models for heterogeneous edge devices from the large cloud model, and the seamless integration of new knowledge learned on these devices into the cloud model periodically. As such, ECLM ensures that the cloud model always provides up-to-date sub-models for edge devices. We further propose an end-to-end learning framework that incorporates the modular model design into an efficient model adaptation pipeline including an offline on-cloud model prototyping and training stage, and an online edge-cloud collaborative adaptation stage. Extensive experiments over various datasets demonstrate that ECLM significantly improves model performance (e.g., 18.89% accuracy increase) and resource efficiency (e.g., 7.12x communication cost reduction) in adapting models to dynamic edge environments by efficiently collaborating the edge and the cloud models.

InternLM2 Technical Report

The evolution of Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and GPT-4 has sparked discussions on the advent of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). However, replicating such advancements in open-source models has been challenging. This paper introduces InternLM2, an open-source LLM that outperforms its predecessors in comprehensive evaluations across 6 dimensions and 30 benchmarks, long-context modeling, and open-ended subjective evaluations through innovative pre-training and optimization techniques. The pre-training process of InternLM2 is meticulously detailed, highlighting the preparation of diverse data types including text, code, and long-context data. InternLM2 efficiently captures long-term dependencies, initially trained on 4k tokens before advancing to 32k tokens in pre-training and fine-tuning stages, exhibiting remarkable performance on the 200k ``Needle-in-a-Haystack" test. InternLM2 is further aligned using Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) and a novel Conditional Online Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (COOL RLHF) strategy that addresses conflicting human preferences and reward hacking. By releasing InternLM2 models in different training stages and model sizes, we provide the community with insights into the model's evolution.

One-Time Model Adaptation to Heterogeneous Clients: An Intra-Client and Inter-Image Attention Design

The mainstream workflow of image recognition applications is first training one global model on the cloud for a wide range of classes and then serving numerous clients, each with heterogeneous images from a small subset of classes to be recognized. From the cloud-client discrepancies on the range of image classes, the recognition model is desired to have strong adaptiveness, intuitively by concentrating the focus on each individual client's local dynamic class subset, while incurring negligible overhead. In this work, we propose to plug a new intra-client and inter-image attention (ICIIA) module into existing backbone recognition models, requiring only one-time cloud-based training to be client-adaptive. In particular, given a target image from a certain client, ICIIA introduces multi-head self-attention to retrieve relevant images from the client's historical unlabeled images, thereby calibrating the focus and the recognition result. Further considering that ICIIA's overhead is dominated by linear projection, we propose partitioned linear projection with feature shuffling for replacement and allow increasing the number of partitions to dramatically improve efficiency without scarifying too much accuracy. We finally evaluate ICIIA using 3 different recognition tasks with 9 backbone models over 5 representative datasets. Extensive evaluation results demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of ICIIA. Specifically, for ImageNet-1K with the backbone models of MobileNetV3-L and Swin-B, ICIIA can improve the testing accuracy to 83.37% (+8.11%) and 88.86% (+5.28%), while adding only 1.62% and 0.02% of FLOPs, respectively.

An Efficient and Privacy-Preserving Architecture for Cross-Institutional Collaborative RAG

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) empowers LLMs with external knowledge, making cross-institutional domain-specific knowledge base integration a highly promising deployment paradigm. Despite this potential, strict privacy regulations create severe "data silos" that obstruct such collaboration. Building federated RAG systems requires distributed inference, but the Transformer's self-attention mechanism fundamentally conflicts with this by mandating cross-node access to distributed Key-Value caches. To address this challenge, we present FedRAG, a high-throughput, privacy-preserving federated RAG framework. At its core is a novel Scrambled Distributed Attention protocol that utilizes numerically stable feature scrambling and token permutation. By dynamically delegating scrambled computations to collaborating nodes, our system successfully decouples attention execution from data localization without exposing plaintext. Crucially, our approach requires no specialized hardware or model retraining, circumventing the prohibitive latency and communication overheads of cryptographic solutions while robustly defending against intermediate state inversion attacks. Extensive evaluations demonstrate our framework preserves negligible (<0.1\%) model utility degradation and achieves up to a 62$\times$ latency reduction over existing secure baselines, sustaining practical, human-reading throughput for cross-institutional knowledge synergy.

Factor Graph Neural Networks

In recent years, we have witnessed a surge of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), most of which can learn powerful representations in an end-to-end fashion with great success in many real-world applications. They have resemblance to Probabilistic Graphical Models (PGMs), but break free from some limitations of PGMs. By aiming to provide expressive methods for representation learning instead of computing marginals or most likely configurations, GNNs provide flexibility in the choice of information flowing rules while maintaining good performance. Despite their success and inspirations, they lack efficient ways to represent and learn higher-order relations among variables/nodes. More expressive higher-order GNNs which operate on k-tuples of nodes need increased computational resources in order to process higher-order tensors. We propose Factor Graph Neural Networks (FGNNs) to effectively capture higher-order relations for inference and learning. To do so, we first derive an efficient approximate Sum-Product loopy belief propagation inference algorithm for discrete higher-order PGMs. We then neuralize the novel message passing scheme into a Factor Graph Neural Network (FGNN) module by allowing richer representations of the message update rules; this facilitates both efficient inference and powerful end-to-end learning. We further show that with a suitable choice of message aggregation operators, our FGNN is also able to represent Max-Product belief propagation, providing a single family of architecture that can represent both Max and Sum-Product loopy belief propagation. Our extensive experimental evaluation on synthetic as well as real datasets demonstrates the potential of the proposed model.

Mining Causality from Continuous-time Dynamics Models: An Application to Tsunami Forecasting

Continuous-time dynamics models, such as neural ordinary differential equations, have enabled the modeling of underlying dynamics in time-series data and accurate forecasting. However, parameterization of dynamics using a neural network makes it difficult for humans to identify causal structures in the data. In consequence, this opaqueness hinders the use of these models in the domains where capturing causal relationships carries the same importance as accurate predictions, e.g., tsunami forecasting. In this paper, we address this challenge by proposing a mechanism for mining causal structures from continuous-time models. We train models to capture the causal structure by enforcing sparsity in the weights of the input layers of the dynamics models. We first verify the effectiveness of our method in the scenario where the exact causal-structures of time-series are known as a priori. We next apply our method to a real-world problem, namely tsunami forecasting, where the exact causal-structures are difficult to characterize. Experimental results show that the proposed method is effective in learning physically-consistent causal relationships while achieving high forecasting accuracy.

MinerU-Popo: Universal Post-Processing Model for Structured Document Parsing

VLM-based OCR models have become the de facto choice for document parsing, as they can accurately extract page-level elements (e.g., paragraphs within individual pages) together with their bounding boxes and textual content. However, downstream applications such as RAG require coherent document-level information, whereas these models often break cross-page continuity and fail to recover disrupted structures, such as paragraphs and tables truncated by page boundaries. Such relationships are not confined to a single page; instead, they require joint analysis of titles, paragraphs, tables, and images spanning multiple pages. A natural solution is therefore to reuse existing OCR outputs and reconstruct document-level logical structures through post-processing. To this end, we propose MinerU-Popo, a lightweight and universal framework for POst-Processing OCR outputs, which converts page-level results from diverse parsers into coherent document-level structures. MinerU-Popo decomposes the problem into four focused subtasks: text truncation recovery, table truncation recovery, title hierarchy reconstruction, and image-text association. To address these effectively, we build a task-oriented data engine with task-specific input filtering, and use the generated data (30K) to fine-tune a lightweight post-processing model (Qwen3-VL-4B). To support long documents, we introduce dynamic chunking with overlap-based synchronization, which aligns chunk-level outputs from the fine-tuned model and preserves global consistency. Finally, we assemble the aligned outputs into a tree-structured document representation, further enriched with node chunking and summaries for downstream retrieval and analysis. Empirical results show MinerU-Popo improves title-hierarchy TEDS by at least 20% across all five tested OCR models, improves RAG accuracy and reduces per-query latency.

Learning to Seek Help: Dynamic Collaboration Between Small and Large Language Models

Large language models (LLMs) offer strong capabilities but raise cost and privacy concerns, whereas small language models (SLMs) facilitate efficient and private local inference yet suffer from limited capacity. To synergize the complementary strengths, we introduce a dynamic collaboration framework, where an SLM learns to proactively decide how to request an LLM during multi-step reasoning, while the LLM provides adaptive feedback instead of acting as a passive tool. We further systematically investigate how collaboration strategies are shaped by SLM and LLM capabilities as well as efficiency and privacy constraints. Evaluation results reveal a distinct scaling effect: stronger SLMs become more self-reliant, while stronger LLMs enable fewer and more informative interactions. In addition, the learned dynamic collaboration strategies significantly outperform static pipelines and standalone inference, and transfer robustly to unseen LLMs.

CSS: Overcoming Pose and Scene Challenges in Crowd-Sourced 3D Gaussian Splatting

We introduce Crowd-Sourced Splatting (CSS), a novel 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) pipeline designed to overcome the challenges of pose-free scene reconstruction using crowd-sourced imagery. The dream of reconstructing historically significant but inaccessible scenes from collections of photographs has long captivated researchers. However, traditional 3D techniques struggle with missing camera poses, limited viewpoints, and inconsistent lighting. CSS addresses these challenges through robust geometric priors and advanced illumination modeling, enabling high-quality novel view synthesis under complex, real-world conditions. Our method demonstrates clear improvements over existing approaches, paving the way for more accurate and flexible applications in AR, VR, and large-scale 3D reconstruction.

LEMMo-Plan: LLM-Enhanced Learning from Multi-Modal Demonstration for Planning Sequential Contact-Rich Manipulation Tasks

Large Language Models (LLMs) have gained popularity in task planning for long-horizon manipulation tasks. To enhance the validity of LLM-generated plans, visual demonstrations and online videos have been widely employed to guide the planning process. However, for manipulation tasks involving subtle movements but rich contact interactions, visual perception alone may be insufficient for the LLM to fully interpret the demonstration. Additionally, visual data provides limited information on force-related parameters and conditions, which are crucial for effective execution on real robots. In this paper, we introduce an in-context learning framework that incorporates tactile and force-torque information from human demonstrations to enhance LLMs' ability to generate plans for new task scenarios. We propose a bootstrapped reasoning pipeline that sequentially integrates each modality into a comprehensive task plan. This task plan is then used as a reference for planning in new task configurations. Real-world experiments on two different sequential manipulation tasks demonstrate the effectiveness of our framework in improving LLMs' understanding of multi-modal demonstrations and enhancing the overall planning performance.

Bridging Time and Space: Decoupled Spatio-Temporal Alignment for Video Grounding

Spatio-Temporal Video Grounding requires jointly localizing target objects across both temporal and spatial dimensions based on natural language queries, posing fundamental challenges for existing Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs). We identify two core challenges: \textit{entangled spatio-temporal alignment}, arising from coupling two heterogeneous sub-tasks within the same autoregressive output space, and \textit{dual-domain visual token redundancy}, where target objects exhibit simultaneous temporal and spatial sparsity, rendering the overwhelming majority of visual tokens irrelevant to the grounding query. To address these, we propose \textbf{Bridge-STG}, an end-to-end framework that decouples temporal and spatial localization while maintaining semantic coherence. While decoupling is the natural solution to this entanglement, it risks creating a semantic gap between the temporal MLLM and the spatial decoder. Bridge-STG resolves this through two pivotal designs: the \textbf{Spatio-Temporal Semantic Bridging (STSB)} mechanism with Explicit Temporal Alignment (ETA) distills the MLLM's temporal reasoning context into enriched bridging queries as a robust semantic interface; and the \textbf{Query-Guided Spatial Localization (QGSL)} module leverages these queries to drive a purpose-built spatial decoder with multi-layer interactive queries and positive/negative frame sampling, jointly eliminating dual-domain visual token redundancy. Extensive experiments across multiple benchmarks demonstrate that Bridge-STG achieves state-of-the-art performance among MLLM-based methods. Bridge-STG improves average m\_vIoU from $26.4$ to $34.3$ on VidSTG and demonstrates strong cross-task transfer across various fine-grained video understanding tasks under a unified multi-task training regime.

Applying Pre-trained Multilingual BERT in Embeddings for Improved Malicious Prompt Injection Attacks Detection

Large language models (LLMs) are renowned for their exceptional capabilities, and applying to a wide range of applications. However, this widespread use brings significant vulnerabilities. Also, it is well observed that there are huge gap which lies in the need for effective detection and mitigation strategies against malicious prompt injection attacks in large language models, as current approaches may not adequately address the complexity and evolving nature of these vulnerabilities in real-world applications. Therefore, this work focuses the impact of malicious prompt injection attacks which is one of most dangerous vulnerability on real LLMs applications. It examines to apply various BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) like multilingual BERT, DistilBert for classifying malicious prompts from legitimate prompts. Also, we observed how tokenizing the prompt texts and generating embeddings using multilingual BERT contributes to improve the performance of various machine learning methods: Gaussian Naive Bayes, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, and Logistic Regression. The performance of each model is rigorously analyzed with various parameters to improve the binary classification to discover malicious prompts. Multilingual BERT approach to embed the prompts significantly improved and outperformed the existing works and achieves an outstanding accuracy of 96.55% by Logistic regression. Additionally, we investigated the incorrect predictions of the model to gain insights into its limitations. The findings can guide researchers in tuning various BERT for finding the most suitable model for diverse LLMs vulnerabilities.

Generative Monoculture in Large Language Models

We introduce {\em generative monoculture}, a behavior observed in large language models (LLMs) characterized by a significant narrowing of model output diversity relative to available training data for a given task: for example, generating only positive book reviews for books with a mixed reception. While in some cases, generative monoculture enhances performance (e.g., LLMs more often produce efficient code), the dangers are exacerbated in others (e.g., LLMs refuse to share diverse opinions). As LLMs are increasingly used in high-impact settings such as education and web search, careful maintenance of LLM output diversity is essential to ensure a variety of facts and perspectives are preserved over time. We experimentally demonstrate the prevalence of generative monoculture through analysis of book review and code generation tasks, and find that simple countermeasures such as altering sampling or prompting strategies are insufficient to mitigate the behavior. Moreover, our results suggest that the root causes of generative monoculture are likely embedded within the LLM's alignment processes, suggesting a need for developing fine-tuning paradigms that preserve or promote diversity.

Guiding the Recommender: Information-Aware Auto-Bidding for Content Promotion

Modern content platforms offer paid promotion to mitigate cold start by allocating exposure via auctions. Our empirical analysis reveals a counterintuitive flaw in this paradigm: while promotion rescues low-to-medium quality content, it can harm high-quality content by forcing exposure to suboptimal audiences, polluting engagement signals and downgrading future recommendation. We recast content promotion as a dual-objective optimization that balances short-term value acquisition with long-term model improvement. To make this tractable at bid time in content promotion, we introduce a decomposable surrogate objective, gradient coverage, and establish its formal connection to Fisher Information and optimal experimental design. We design a two-stage auto-bidding algorithm based on Lagrange duality that dynamically paces budget through a shadow price and optimizes impression-level bids using per-impression marginal utilities. To address missing labels at bid time, we propose a confidence-gated gradient heuristic, paired with a zeroth-order variant for black-box models that reliably estimates learning signals in real time. We provide theoretical guarantees, proving monotone submodularity of the composite objective, sublinear regret in online auction, and budget feasibility. Extensive offline experiments on synthetic and real-world datasets validate the framework: it outperforms baselines, achieves superior final AUC/LogLoss, adheres closely to budget targets, and remains effective when gradients are approximated zeroth-order. These results show that strategic, information-aware promotion can improve long-term model performance and organic outcomes beyond naive impression-maximization strategies.

Claw AI Lab: An Autonomous Multi-Agent Research Team

We present Claw AI Lab, a lab-native autonomous research platform that advances automated research from a hidden prompt-to-paper pipeline into an interactive AI laboratory. Rather than centering the system around a single agent or a fixed serial workflow, we allow users to instantiate a full research team from one prompt, with customizable roles, collaborative workflows, real-time monitoring, artifact inspection, and rollback/resume control through a unified dashboard. The platform also supports distinct research modes for exploration, multi-agent discussion, and reproduction, making autonomous research substantially more steerable and laboratory-like in practice. A key practical contribution of Claw AI Lab lies in its Claw-Code Harness, which connects local codebases, datasets, and checkpoints to runnable experiments and feeds execution artifacts back into the research loop. As a result, the harness improves not only execution integration, but also experimental completion and result integrity: experiments are easier to inspect, iterate on, and faithfully transfer into final papers, reducing common failure modes such as partial runs and malformed result reporting. In our internal evaluation on five AI research case studies, using AutoResearchClaw as the baseline, Claw AI Lab is consistently preferred by AI expert judges on idea novelty, experiment completeness, and paper presentation quality. We view Claw AI Lab as an early step toward a new paradigm: autonomous research as usable, interactive, and reliability-aware scientific infrastructure.

ARA: Agentic Reproducibility Assessment For Scalable Support Of Scientific Peer-Review

Scientific peer review increasingly struggles to assess reproducibility at the scale and complexity of modern research output. Evaluating reproducibility requires reconstructing experimental dependencies, methodological choices, data flows, and result-generating procedures, which often exceeds what human reviewers can provide. Agentic Reproducibility Assessment (ARA) formalizes reproducibility assessment as a structured reasoning task over scientific documents. Given a paper, ARA extracts a directed workflow graph linking sources, methods, experiments, and outputs, then evaluates its reconstructability using structural and content-based scores for reproducibility assessments. Experiments on 213 ReScience C articles - the largest cross-domain benchmark of human-validated computational reproducibility studies considered to date - demonstrate ARA's generalizability and consistent workflow reconstruction and assessment across LLMs, model temperatures, and scientific domains. ARA achieves ~61% accuracy on three benchmarks, and the highest accuracy reported on ReproBench (60.71% vs. 36.84%) and GoldStandardDB (61.68% vs. 43.56%), highlighting its potential to complement human review at scale and enabling next-generation peer review. Revolutionizing Battery Disassembly: The Design and Implementation of a Battery Disassembly Autonomous Mobile Manipulator Robot(BEAM-1)

The efficient disassembly of end-of-life electric vehicle batteries(EOL-EVBs) is crucial for green manufacturing and sustainable development. The current pre-programmed disassembly conducted by the Autonomous Mobile Manipulator Robot(AMMR) struggles to meet the disassembly requirements in dynamic environments, complex scenarios, and unstructured processes. In this paper, we propose a Battery Disassembly AMMR(BEAM-1) system based on NeuralSymbolic AI. It detects the environmental state by leveraging a combination of multi-sensors and neural predicates and then translates this information into a quasi-symbolic space. In real-time, it identifies the optimal sequence of action primitives through LLM-heuristic tree search, ensuring high-precision execution of these primitives. Additionally, it employs positional speculative sampling using intuitive networks and achieves the disassembly of various bolt types with a meticulously designed end-effector. Importantly, BEAM-1 is a continuously learning embodied intelligence system capable of subjective reasoning like a human, and possessing intuition. A large number of real scene experiments have proved that it can autonomously perceive, decide, and execute to complete the continuous disassembly of bolts in multiple, multi-category, and complex situations, with a success rate of 98.78%. This research attempts to use NeuroSymbolic AI to give robots real autonomous reasoning, planning, and learning capabilities. BEAM-1 realizes the revolution of battery disassembly. Its framework can be easily ported to any robotic system to realize different application scenarios, which provides a ground-breaking idea for the design and implementation of future embodied intelligent robotic systems.

OS Agents: A Survey on MLLM-based Agents for General Computing Devices Use

The dream to create AI assistants as capable and versatile as the fictional J.A.R.V.I.S from Iron Man has long captivated imaginations. With the evolution of (multi-modal) large language models ((M)LLMs), this dream is closer to reality, as (M)LLM-based Agents using computing devices (e.g., computers and mobile phones) by operating within the environments and interfaces (e.g., Graphical User Interface (GUI)) provided by operating systems (OS) to automate tasks have significantly advanced. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of these advanced agents, designated as OS Agents. We begin by elucidating the fundamentals of OS Agents, exploring their key components including the environment, observation space, and action space, and outlining essential capabilities such as understanding, planning, and grounding. We then examine methodologies for constructing OS Agents, focusing on domain-specific foundation models and agent frameworks. A detailed review of evaluation protocols and benchmarks highlights how OS Agents are assessed across diverse tasks. Finally, we discuss current challenges and identify promising directions for future research, including safety and privacy, personalization and self-evolution. This survey aims to consolidate the state of OS Agents research, providing insights to guide both academic inquiry and industrial development. An open-source GitHub repository is maintained as a dynamic resource to foster further innovation in this field. We present a 9-page version of our work, accepted by ACL 2025, to provide a concise overview to the domain.

OmniDocBench: Benchmarking Diverse PDF Document Parsing with Comprehensive Annotations

Document content extraction is a critical task in computer vision, underpinning the data needs of large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. Despite recent progress, current document parsing methods have not been fairly and comprehensively evaluated due to the narrow coverage of document types and the simplified, unrealistic evaluation procedures in existing benchmarks. To address these gaps, we introduce OmniDocBench, a novel benchmark featuring high-quality annotations across nine document sources, including academic papers, textbooks, and more challenging cases such as handwritten notes and densely typeset newspapers. OmniDocBench supports flexible, multi-level evaluations--ranging from an end-to-end assessment to the task-specific and attribute--based analysis using 19 layout categories and 15 attribute labels. We conduct a thorough evaluation of both pipeline-based methods and end-to-end vision-language models, revealing their strengths and weaknesses across different document types. OmniDocBench sets a new standard for the fair, diverse, and fine-grained evaluation in document parsing. Dataset and code are available at https://github.com/opendatalab/OmniDocBench.

FHAvatar: Fast and High-Fidelity Reconstruction of Face-and-Hair Composable 3D Head Avatar from Few Casual Captures

We present FHAvatar, a novel framework for reconstructing 3D Gaussian avatars with composable face and hair components from an arbitrary number of views. Unlike previous approaches that couple facial and hair representations within a unified modeling process, we explicitly decouple two components in texture space by representing the face with planar Gaussians and the hair with strand-based Gaussians. To overcome the limitations of existing methods that rely on dense multi-view captures or costly per-identity optimization, we propose an aggregated transformer backbone to learn geometry-aware cross-view priors and head-hair structural coherence from multi-view datasets, enabling effective and efficient feature extraction and fusion from few casual captures. Extensive quantitative and qualitative experiments demonstrate that FHAvatar achieves state-of-the-art reconstruction quality from only a few observations of new identities within minutes, while supporting real-time animation, convenient hairstyle transfer, and stylized editing, broadening the accessibility and applicability of digital avatar creation.

Vocal Prognostic Digital Biomarkers in Monitoring Chronic Heart Failure: A Longitudinal Observational Study

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate which voice features can predict health deterioration in patients with chronic HF. Background: Heart failure (HF) is a chronic condition with progressive deterioration and acute decompensations, often requiring hospitalization and imposing substantial healthcare and economic burdens. Current standard-of-care (SoC) home monitoring, such as weight tracking, lacks predictive accuracy and requires high patient engagement. Voice is a promising non-invasive biomarker, though prior studies have mainly focused on acute HF stages. Methods: In a 2-month longitudinal study, 32 patients with HF collected daily voice recordings and SoC measures of weight and blood pressure at home, with biweekly questionnaires for health status. Acoustic analysis generated detailed vowel and speech features. Time-series features were extracted from aggregated lookback windows (e.g., 7 days) to predict next-day health status. Explainable machine learning with nested cross-validation identified top vocal biomarkers, and a case study illustrated model application. Results: A total of 21,863 recordings were analyzed. Acoustic vowel features showed strong correlations with health status. Time-series voice features within the lookback window outperformed corresponding standard care measures, achieving peak sensitivity and specificity of 0.826 and 0.782 versus 0.783 and 0.567 for SoC metrics. Key prognostic voice features identifying deterioration included delayed energy shift, low energy variability, and higher shimmer variability in vowels, along with reduced speaking and articulation rate, lower phonation ratio, decreased voice quality, and increased formant variability in speech. Conclusion: Voice-based monitoring offers a non-invasive approach to detect early health changes in chronic HF, supporting proactive and personalized care.

G-NAS: Generalizable Neural Architecture Search for Single Domain Generalization Object Detection

In this paper, we focus on a realistic yet challenging task, Single Domain Generalization Object Detection (S-DGOD), where only one source domain's data can be used for training object detectors, but have to generalize multiple distinct target domains. In S-DGOD, both high-capacity fitting and generalization abilities are needed due to the task's complexity. Differentiable Neural Architecture Search (NAS) is known for its high capacity for complex data fitting and we propose to leverage Differentiable NAS to solve S-DGOD. However, it may confront severe over-fitting issues due to the feature imbalance phenomenon, where parameters optimized by gradient descent are biased to learn from the easy-to-learn features, which are usually non-causal and spuriously correlated to ground truth labels, such as the features of background in object detection data. Consequently, this leads to serious performance degradation, especially in generalizing to unseen target domains with huge domain gaps between the source domain and target domains. To address this issue, we propose the Generalizable loss (G-loss), which is an OoD-aware objective, preventing NAS from over-fitting by using gradient descent to optimize parameters not only on a subset of easy-to-learn features but also the remaining predictive features for generalization, and the overall framework is named G-NAS. Experimental results on the S-DGOD urban-scene datasets demonstrate that the proposed G-NAS achieves SOTA performance compared to baseline methods. VIAFormer: Voxel-Image Alignment Transformer for High-Fidelity Voxel Refinement

We propose VIAFormer, a Voxel-Image Alignment Transformer model designed for Multi-view Conditioned Voxel Refinement--the task of repairing incomplete noisy voxels using calibrated multi-view images as guidance. Its effectiveness stems from a synergistic design: an Image Index that provides explicit 3D spatial grounding for 2D image tokens, a Correctional Flow objective that learns a direct voxel-refinement trajectory, and a Hybrid Stream Transformer that enables robust cross-modal fusion. Experiments show that VIAFormer establishes a new state of the art in correcting both severe synthetic corruptions and realistic artifacts on the voxel shape obtained from powerful Vision Foundation Models. Beyond benchmarking, we demonstrate VIAFormer as a practical and reliable bridge in real-world 3D creation pipelines, paving the way for voxel-based methods to thrive in large-model, big-data wave.
