OmniGF: A Dual-Branch Vision-Language Framework for Unified Gaze FollowingQiaomu Miao, Haoyu Wu, Jingyi Xu et al.
Understanding human gaze behavior is essential for complex scene comprehension and human-computer interaction. Traditional gaze following models are typically restricted to pure spatial localization, lacking the high-level capacity to reason about semantic targets or complex social contexts. Furthermore, these models often process individuals sequentially, requiring redundant computations over the same scene image for multi-person inference. While recent Vision-Language Models (VLMs) offer the exceptional semantic reasoning needed to address gaze-related semantic tasks, their reliance on discrete text generation inherently limits precision in continuous spatial tasks like gaze localization. To bridge this gap, we propose OmniGF, a unified vision-language framework that adapts foundational VLMs for highly scalable multi-person gaze reasoning. The model adopts a dual-branch decoding strategy: a structured language branch generates discrete reasoning states, while a continuous spatial branch directly taps into the VLM's dense hidden states. Supervising these extracted representations with high-resolution gaze target heatmaps effectively overcomes the spatial bottleneck of text-only coordinate generation. Furthermore, to explicitly ground the model in multi-person scenes, we augment the input with head embeddings encoded from cropped head images, providing fine-grained appearance and orientation cues for all individuals simultaneously. By modeling all individuals and leveraging the strong semantic capability of VLMs, OmniGF seamlessly integrates precise spatial gaze target estimation, semantic gaze prediction, and complex social gaze reasoning. S-VolSDF: Sparse Multi-View Stereo Regularization of Neural Implicit SurfacesHaoyu Wu, Alexandros Graikos, Dimitris Samaras
Neural rendering of implicit surfaces performs well in 3D vision applications. However, it requires dense input views as supervision. When only sparse input images are available, output quality drops significantly due to the shape-radiance ambiguity problem. We note that this ambiguity can be constrained when a 3D point is visible in multiple views, as is the case in multi-view stereo (MVS). We thus propose to regularize neural rendering optimization with an MVS solution. The use of an MVS probability volume and a generalized cross entropy loss leads to a noise-tolerant optimization process. In addition, neural rendering provides global consistency constraints that guide the MVS depth hypothesis sampling and thus improves MVS performance. Given only three sparse input views, experiments show that our method not only outperforms generic neural rendering models by a large margin but also significantly increases the reconstruction quality of MVS models. EmoTalk: Speech-Driven Emotional Disentanglement for 3D Face AnimationZiqiao Peng, Haoyu Wu, Zhenbo Song et al.
Speech-driven 3D face animation aims to generate realistic facial expressions that match the speech content and emotion. However, existing methods often neglect emotional facial expressions or fail to disentangle them from speech content. To address this issue, this paper proposes an end-to-end neural network to disentangle different emotions in speech so as to generate rich 3D facial expressions. Specifically, we introduce the emotion disentangling encoder (EDE) to disentangle the emotion and content in the speech by cross-reconstructed speech signals with different emotion labels. Then an emotion-guided feature fusion decoder is employed to generate a 3D talking face with enhanced emotion. The decoder is driven by the disentangled identity, emotional, and content embeddings so as to generate controllable personal and emotional styles. Finally, considering the scarcity of the 3D emotional talking face data, we resort to the supervision of facial blendshapes, which enables the reconstruction of plausible 3D faces from 2D emotional data, and contribute a large-scale 3D emotional talking face dataset (3D-ETF) to train the network. Our experiments and user studies demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods and exhibits more diverse facial movements. VGG-Tex: A Vivid Geometry-Guided Facial Texture Estimation Model for High Fidelity Monocular 3D Face ReconstructionHaoyu Wu, Ziqiao Peng, Xukun Zhou et al.
3D face reconstruction from monocular images has promoted the development of various applications such as augmented reality. Though existing methods have made remarkable progress, most of them emphasize geometric reconstruction, while overlooking the importance of texture prediction. To address this issue, we propose VGG-Tex, a novel Vivid Geometry-Guided Facial Texture Estimation model designed for High Fidelity Monocular 3D Face Reconstruction. The core of this approach is leveraging 3D parametric priors to enhance the outcomes of 2D UV texture estimation. Specifically, VGG-Tex includes a Facial Attributes Encoding Module, a Geometry-Guided Texture Generator, and a Visibility-Enhanced Texture Completion Module. These components are responsible for extracting parametric priors, generating initial textures, and refining texture details, respectively. Based on the geometry-texture complementarity principle, VGG-Tex also introduces a Texture-guided Geometry Refinement Module to further balance the overall fidelity of the reconstructed 3D faces, along with corresponding losses. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that our method significantly improves texture reconstruction performance compared to existing state-of-the-art methods.

MineWorld: a Real-Time and Open-Source Interactive World Model on MinecraftJunliang Guo, Yang Ye, Tianyu He et al.
World modeling is a crucial task for enabling intelligent agents to effectively interact with humans and operate in dynamic environments. In this work, we propose MineWorld, a real-time interactive world model on Minecraft, an open-ended sandbox game which has been utilized as a common testbed for world modeling. MineWorld is driven by a visual-action autoregressive Transformer, which takes paired game scenes and corresponding actions as input, and generates consequent new scenes following the actions. Specifically, by transforming visual game scenes and actions into discrete token ids with an image tokenizer and an action tokenizer correspondingly, we consist the model input with the concatenation of the two kinds of ids interleaved. The model is then trained with next token prediction to learn rich representations of game states as well as the conditions between states and actions simultaneously. In inference, we develop a novel parallel decoding algorithm that predicts the spatial redundant tokens in each frame at the same time, letting models in different scales generate $4$ to $7$ frames per second and enabling real-time interactions with game players. In evaluation, we propose new metrics to assess not only visual quality but also the action following capacity when generating new scenes, which is crucial for a world model. Our comprehensive evaluation shows the efficacy of MineWorld, outperforming SoTA open-sourced diffusion based world models significantly. The code and model have been released.

ForeSplat: Optimization-Aware Foresight for Feed-Forward 3D Gaussian SplattingYuke Li, Weihang Liu, Cheng Zhang et al.
Feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) models offer fast single-pass reconstruction,but scaling them to match per-scene optimization quality is fundamentally hindered by the scarcity of large-scale 3D annotations.A practical compromise is predict-then-refine,where post-prediction optimization compensates for the limited capacity of the feed-forward network.However,standard feed-forward 3DGS is trained solely for zero-step rendering error,ignoring whether its output constitutes a good initialization for the downstream optimizer.We present ForeSplat,an optimization-aware training framework that equips feed-forward 3DGS models to produce initializations explicitly designed for rapid,effective refinement.By offloading part of the scene-modeling burden to the optimizer,ForeSplat substantially reduces the capacity pressure on the feed-forward model,making high-quality reconstruction feasible even with compact networks.At its core is MetaGrad,a lightweight multi-anchor meta-gradient training rule that bypasses costly higher-order differentiation through the 3DGS optimizer.MetaGrad unrolls a short inner-loop refinement trajectory,samples anchor states,and back-propagates aggregated first-order gradients to the prediction head as a surrogate optimization-aware signal.This fine-tuning adds no inference cost and enables high-quality reconstruction within seconds after a few refinement steps.We instantiate ForeSplat on diverse backbones,including AnySplat,Pi3X,and a distilled variant tailored for edge deployment.Across all tested architectures,a ForeSplat-trained initialization converges in fewer refinement steps and reaches a higher peak reconstruction quality than its vanilla counterpart,even fully converged.The framework consistently bridges the gap between amortized prediction and per-scene optimization,establishing a practical path toward lightweight,high-fidelity 3D reconstruction.

MultiWorld: Scalable Multi-Agent Multi-View Video World ModelsHaoyu Wu, Jiwen Yu, Yingtian Zou et al.
Video world models have achieved remarkable success in simulating environmental dynamics in response to actions by users or agents. They are modeled as action-conditioned video generation models that take historical frames and current actions as input to predict future frames. Yet, most existing approaches are limited to single-agent scenarios and fail to capture the complex interactions inherent in real-world multi-agent systems. We present \textbf{MultiWorld}, a unified framework for multi-agent multi-view world modeling that enables accurate control of multiple agents while maintaining multi-view consistency. We introduce the Multi-Agent Condition Module to achieve precise multi-agent controllability, and the Global State Encoder to ensure coherent observations across different views. MultiWorld supports flexible scaling of agent and view counts, and synthesizes different views in parallel for high efficiency. Experiments on multi-player game environments and multi-robot manipulation tasks demonstrate that MultiWorld outperforms baselines in video fidelity, action-following ability, and multi-view consistency. Oedipus and the Sphinx: Benchmarking and Improving Visual Language Models for Complex Graphic ReasoningJianyi Zhang, Xu Ji, Ziyin Zhou et al.
Evaluating the performance of visual language models (VLMs) in graphic reasoning tasks has become an important research topic. However, VLMs still show obvious deficiencies in simulating human-level graphic reasoning capabilities, especially in complex graphic reasoning and abstract problem solving, which are less studied and existing studies only focus on simple graphics. To evaluate the performance of VLMs in complex graphic reasoning, we propose ReasonBench, the first evaluation benchmark focused on structured graphic reasoning tasks, which includes 1,613 questions from real-world intelligence tests. ReasonBench covers reasoning dimensions related to location, attribute, quantity, and multi-element tasks, providing a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of VLMs in spatial, relational, and abstract reasoning capabilities. We benchmark 11 mainstream VLMs (including closed-source and open-source models) and reveal significant limitations of current models. Based on these findings, we propose a dual optimization strategy: Diagrammatic Reasoning Chain (DiaCoT) enhances the interpretability of reasoning by decomposing layers, and ReasonTune enhances the task adaptability of model reasoning through training, all of which improves VLM performance by 33.5\%. HighEr-Resolution Network for Image Demosaicing and EnhancingKangfu Mei, Juncheng Li, Jiajie Zhang et al.
Neural-networks based image restoration methods tend to use low-resolution image patches for training. Although higher-resolution image patches can provide more global information, state-of-the-art methods cannot utilize them due to their huge GPU memory usage, as well as the instable training process. However, plenty of studies have shown that global information is crucial for image restoration tasks like image demosaicing and enhancing. In this work, we propose a HighEr-Resolution Network (HERN) to fully learning global information in high-resolution image patches. To achieve this, the HERN employs two parallel paths to learn image features in two different resolutions, respectively. By combining global-aware features and multi-scale features, our HERN is able to learn global information with feasible GPU memory usage. Besides, we introduce a progressive training method to solve the instability issue and accelerate model convergence. On the task of image demosaicing and enhancing, our HERN achieves state-of-the-art performance on the AIM2019 RAW to RGB mapping challenge. VideoDPO: Omni-Preference Alignment for Video Diffusion GenerationRuntao Liu, Haoyu Wu, Zheng Ziqiang et al.
Recent progress in generative diffusion models has greatly advanced text-to-video generation. While text-to-video models trained on large-scale, diverse datasets can produce varied outputs, these generations often deviate from user preferences, highlighting the need for preference alignment on pre-trained models. Although Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) has demonstrated significant improvements in language and image generation, we pioneer its adaptation to video diffusion models and propose a VideoDPO pipeline by making several key adjustments. Unlike previous image alignment methods that focus solely on either (i) visual quality or (ii) semantic alignment between text and videos, we comprehensively consider both dimensions and construct a preference score accordingly, which we term the OmniScore. We design a pipeline to automatically collect preference pair data based on the proposed OmniScore and discover that re-weighting these pairs based on the score significantly impacts overall preference alignment. Our experiments demonstrate substantial improvements in both visual quality and semantic alignment, ensuring that no preference aspect is neglected. Learning 3D Reconstruction with Priors in Test TimeLei Zhou, Haoyu Wu, Akshat Dave et al.
We introduce a test-time framework for multiview Transformers (MVTs) that incorporates priors (e.g., camera poses, intrinsics, and depth) to improve 3D tasks without retraining or modifying pre-trained image-only networks. Rather than feeding priors into the architecture, we cast them as constraints on the predictions and optimize the network at inference time. The optimization loss consists of a self-supervised objective and prior penalty terms. The self-supervised objective captures the compatibility among multi-view predictions and is implemented using photometric or geometric loss between renderings from other views and each view itself. Any available priors are converted into penalty terms on the corresponding output modalities. Across a series of 3D vision benchmarks, including point map estimation and camera pose estimation, our method consistently improves performance over base MVTs by a large margin. On the ETH3D, 7-Scenes, and NRGBD datasets, our method reduces the point-map distance error by more than half compared with the base image-only models. Our method also outperforms retrained prior-aware feed-forward methods, demonstrating the effectiveness of our test-time constrained optimization (TCO) framework for incorporating priors into 3D vision tasks.

Geometry Forcing: Marrying Video Diffusion and 3D Representation for Consistent World ModelingHaoyu Wu, Diankun Wu, Tianyu He et al.
Videos inherently represent 2D projections of a dynamic 3D world. However, our analysis suggests that video diffusion models trained solely on raw video data often fail to capture meaningful geometric-aware structure in their learned representations. To bridge this gap between video diffusion models and the underlying 3D nature of the physical world, we propose Geometry Forcing, a simple yet effective method that encourages video diffusion models to internalize latent 3D representations. Our key insight is to guide the model's intermediate representations toward geometry-aware structure by aligning them with features from a pretrained geometric foundation model. To this end, we introduce two complementary alignment objectives: Angular Alignment, which enforces directional consistency via cosine similarity, and Scale Alignment, which preserves scale-related information by regressing unnormalized geometric features from normalized diffusion representation. We evaluate Geometry Forcing on both camera view-conditioned and action-conditioned video generation tasks. DualTalk: Dual-Speaker Interaction for 3D Talking Head ConversationsZiqiao Peng, Yanbo Fan, Haoyu Wu et al.
In face-to-face conversations, individuals need to switch between speaking and listening roles seamlessly. Existing 3D talking head generation models focus solely on speaking or listening, neglecting the natural dynamics of interactive conversation, which leads to unnatural interactions and awkward transitions. To address this issue, we propose a new task -- multi-round dual-speaker interaction for 3D talking head generation -- which requires models to handle and generate both speaking and listening behaviors in continuous conversation. To solve this task, we introduce DualTalk, a novel unified framework that integrates the dynamic behaviors of speakers and listeners to simulate realistic and coherent dialogue interactions. This framework not only synthesizes lifelike talking heads when speaking but also generates continuous and vivid non-verbal feedback when listening, effectively capturing the interplay between the roles. We also create a new dataset featuring 50 hours of multi-round conversations with over 1,000 characters, where participants continuously switch between speaking and listening roles. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method significantly enhances the naturalness and expressiveness of 3D talking heads in dual-speaker conversations. Direct and Explicit 3D Generation from a Single ImageHaoyu Wu, Meher Gitika Karumuri, Chuhang Zou et al.
Current image-to-3D approaches suffer from high computational costs and lack scalability for high-resolution outputs. In contrast, we introduce a novel framework to directly generate explicit surface geometry and texture using multi-view 2D depth and RGB images along with 3D Gaussian features using a repurposed Stable Diffusion model. We introduce a depth branch into U-Net for efficient and high quality multi-view, cross-domain generation and incorporate epipolar attention into the latent-to-pixel decoder for pixel-level multi-view consistency. By back-projecting the generated depth pixels into 3D space, we create a structured 3D representation that can be either rendered via Gaussian splatting or extracted to high-quality meshes, thereby leveraging additional novel view synthesis loss to further improve our performance. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method surpasses existing baselines in geometry and texture quality while achieving significantly faster generation time.

Fast Autoregressive Video Generation with Diagonal DecodingYang Ye, Junliang Guo, Haoyu Wu et al.
Autoregressive Transformer models have demonstrated impressive performance in video generation, but their sequential token-by-token decoding process poses a major bottleneck, particularly for long videos represented by tens of thousands of tokens. In this paper, we propose Diagonal Decoding (DiagD), a training-free inference acceleration algorithm for autoregressively pre-trained models that exploits spatial and temporal correlations in videos. Our method generates tokens along diagonal paths in the spatial-temporal token grid, enabling parallel decoding within each frame as well as partially overlapping across consecutive frames. The proposed algorithm is versatile and adaptive to various generative models and tasks, while providing flexible control over the trade-off between inference speed and visual quality. Furthermore, we propose a cost-effective finetuning strategy that aligns the attention patterns of the model with our decoding order, further mitigating the training-inference gap on small-scale models. Experiments on multiple autoregressive video generation models and datasets demonstrate that DiagD achieves up to $10\times$ speedup compared to naive sequential decoding, while maintaining comparable visual fidelity.

DistilCLIP-EEG: Enhancing Epileptic Seizure Detection Through Multi-modal Learning and Knowledge DistillationZexin Wang, Lin Shi, Haoyu Wu et al.
Epilepsy is a prevalent neurological disorder marked by sudden, brief episodes of excessive neuronal activity caused by abnormal electrical discharges, which may lead to some mental disorders. Most existing deep learning methods for epilepsy detection rely solely on unimodal EEG signals, neglecting the potential benefits of multimodal information. To address this, we propose a novel multimodal model, DistilCLIP-EEG, based on the CLIP framework, which integrates both EEG signals and text descriptions to capture comprehensive features of epileptic seizures. The model involves an EEG encoder based on the Conformer architecture as a text encoder, the proposed Learnable BERT (BERT-LP) as prompt learning within the encoders. Both operate in a shared latent space for effective cross-modal representation learning. To enhance efficiency and adaptability, we introduce a knowledge distillation method where the trained DistilCLIP-EEG serves as a teacher to guide a more compact student model to reduce training complexity and time. On the TUSZ, AUBMC, and CHB-MIT datasets, both the teacher and student models achieved accuracy rates exceeding 97%. Across all datasets, the F1-scores were consistently above 0.94, demonstrating the robustness and reliability of the proposed framework. Moreover, the student model's parameter count and model size are approximately 58.1% of those of the teacher model, significantly reducing model complexity and storage requirements while maintaining high performance. These results highlight the potential of our proposed model for EEG-based epilepsy detection and establish a solid foundation for deploying lightweight models in resource-constrained settings.

Importance-Based Token Merging for Efficient Image and Video GenerationHaoyu Wu, Jingyi Xu, Hieu Le et al.
Token merging can effectively accelerate various vision systems by processing groups of similar tokens only once and sharing the results across them. However, existing token grouping methods are often ad hoc and random, disregarding the actual content of the samples. We show that preserving high-information tokens during merging - those essential for semantic fidelity and structural details - significantly improves sample quality, producing finer details and more coherent, realistic generations. Despite being simple and intuitive, this approach remains underexplored. To do so, we propose an importance-based token merging method that prioritizes the most critical tokens in computational resource allocation, leveraging readily available importance scores, such as those from classifier-free guidance in diffusion models. Experiments show that our approach significantly outperforms baseline methods across multiple applications, including text-to-image synthesis, multi-view image generation, and video generation with various model architectures such as Stable Diffusion, Zero123++, AnimateDiff, or PixArt-$α$.

One Attention, One Scale: Phase-Aligned Rotary Positional Embeddings for Mixed-Resolution Diffusion TransformerHaoyu Wu, Jingyi Xu, Qiaomu Miao et al.
We identify a core failure mode that occurs when using the usual linear interpolation on rotary positional embeddings (RoPE) for mixed-resolution denoising with Diffusion Transformers. When tokens from different spatial grids are mixed, the attention mechanism collapses. The issue is structural. Linear coordinate remapping forces a single attention head to compare RoPE phases sampled at incompatible rates, creating phase aliasing that destabilizes the score landscape. Pretrained DiTs are especially brittle-many heads exhibit extremely sharp, periodic phase selectivity-so even tiny cross-rate inconsistencies reliably cause blur, artifacts, or full collapse. To this end, our main contribution is Cross-Resolution Phase-Aligned Attention (CRPA), a training-free drop-in fix that eliminates this failure at its source. CRPA modifies only the RoPE index map for each attention call: all Q/K positions are expressed on the query's stride so that equal physical distances always induce identical phase increments. This restores the precise phase patterns that DiTs rely on. CRPA is fully compatible with pretrained DiTs, stabilizes all heads and layers uniformly. We demonstrate that CRPA enables high-fidelity and efficient mixed-resolution generation, outperforming previous state-of-the-art methods on image and video generation.

MLI-NeRF: Multi-Light Intrinsic-Aware Neural Radiance FieldsYixiong Yang, Shilin Hu, Haoyu Wu et al.
Current methods for extracting intrinsic image components, such as reflectance and shading, primarily rely on statistical priors. These methods focus mainly on simple synthetic scenes and isolated objects and struggle to perform well on challenging real-world data. To address this issue, we propose MLI-NeRF, which integrates \textbf{M}ultiple \textbf{L}ight information in \textbf{I}ntrinsic-aware \textbf{Ne}ural \textbf{R}adiance \textbf{F}ields. By leveraging scene information provided by different light source positions complementing the multi-view information, we generate pseudo-label images for reflectance and shading to guide intrinsic image decomposition without the need for ground truth data. Our method introduces straightforward supervision for intrinsic component separation and ensures robustness across diverse scene types. We validate our approach on both synthetic and real-world datasets, outperforming existing state-of-the-art methods. Additionally, we demonstrate its applicability to various image editing tasks. Learning Relighting and Intrinsic Decomposition in Neural Radiance FieldsYixiong Yang, Shilin Hu, Haoyu Wu et al.
The task of extracting intrinsic components, such as reflectance and shading, from neural radiance fields is of growing interest. However, current methods largely focus on synthetic scenes and isolated objects, overlooking the complexities of real scenes with backgrounds. To address this gap, our research introduces a method that combines relighting with intrinsic decomposition. By leveraging light variations in scenes to generate pseudo labels, our method provides guidance for intrinsic decomposition without requiring ground truth data. Our method, grounded in physical constraints, ensures robustness across diverse scene types and reduces the reliance on pre-trained models or hand-crafted priors. We validate our method on both synthetic and real-world datasets, achieving convincing results. Furthermore, the applicability of our method to image editing tasks demonstrates promising outcomes.

Disentangle Perceptual Learning through Online Contrastive LearningKangfu Mei, Yao Lu, Qiaosi Yi et al.
Pursuing realistic results according to human visual perception is the central concern in the image transformation tasks. Perceptual learning approaches like perceptual loss are empirically powerful for such tasks but they usually rely on the pre-trained classification network to provide features, which are not necessarily optimal in terms of visual perception of image transformation. In this paper, we argue that, among the features representation from the pre-trained classification network, only limited dimensions are related to human visual perception, while others are irrelevant, although both will affect the final image transformation results. Under such an assumption, we try to disentangle the perception-relevant dimensions from the representation through our proposed online contrastive learning. The resulted network includes the pre-training part and a feature selection layer, followed by the contrastive learning module, which utilizes the transformed results, target images, and task-oriented distorted images as the positive, negative, and anchor samples, respectively. The contrastive learning aims at activating the perception-relevant dimensions and suppressing the irrelevant ones by using the triplet loss, so that the original representation can be disentangled for better perceptual quality. Experiments on various image transformation tasks demonstrate the superiority of our framework, in terms of human visual perception, to the existing approaches using pre-trained networks and empirically designed losses.
