A Semantically Consistent Dataset for Data-Efficient Query-Based Universal Sound SeparationKai Li, Jintao Cheng, Chang Zeng et al.
Query-based universal sound separation is fundamental to intelligent auditory systems, aiming to isolate specific sources from mixtures. Despite recent advances, existing methods continue to suffer from residual interference in complex acoustic scenes. This performance limitation stems largely from a data bottleneck: in-the-wild datasets contain weak labels and severe co-occurrence of events. These flaws induce models to learn spurious correlations between background noise and target categories instead of robust acoustic features. To address this, we propose an automated pipeline that eliminates co-occurrence of events by mining high-purity single-event segments from in-the-wild datasets via a semantically consistent synthesis protocol. Utilizing this pipeline, we constructed Hive, a high-quality synthetic dataset comprising 2.4k hours of raw audio. Experimental results demonstrate that, compared with the state-of-the-art model SAM-Audio which was trained on a huge dataset $\sim$500 times larger than Hive, certain open-source models trained on Hive achieve competitive separation accuracy and perceptual quality. Moreover, these models exhibited remarkable zero-shot generalization on out-of-distribution evaluation benchmarks. These findings highlight that prioritizing purity of supervised signals enables significant data efficiency, offering a new paradigm for training robust auditory foundation models with reduced computational costs. GrepSeek: Training Search Agents for Direct Corpus InteractionAlireza Salemi, Chang Zeng, Atharva Nijasure et al.
Large Language Model (LLM) search agents have shown strong promise for knowledge-intensive language tasks through multiple rounds of reasoning and information retrieval. Most existing systems access information using a retriever that takes a keyword or natural language query and returns a ranked list of documents using an index of pre-computed document representations. In this work, we explore a complementary perspective in which the search agent treats the corpus itself as the search environment and finds evidence by issuing executable shell commands. We introduce GrepSeek, an optimized direct corpus interaction (DCI) search agent that trains a compact search agent to find, filter, and compose evidence from large text corpora. To address the instability of learning behavior directly with reinforcement learning on large corpora, we propose a two-stage training pipeline. First, we construct a cold-start dataset using an answer-aware Tutor and answer-blind Planner to generate verified, causally grounded search trajectories. Second, we refine the initialized policy with Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO), allowing the agent to improve its task-oriented search behavior through direct interaction with the corpus. To make DCI practical at scale, we further use a semantics-preserving sharded-parallel execution engine that accelerates shell-based retrieval by up to $7.6\times$ while preserving byte-exact equivalence with sequential execution of the shell command. Experiments across seven open-domain question answering benchmarks show that GrepSeek achieves the strongest overall token-level $F_1$ and Exact Match. Our analysis also highlights the limitations of purely lexical interaction on queries with substantial surface-form variation, suggesting DCI as a practical and competitive method for search agents that can complement existing retrieval paradigms in the real world.

Cross-modal Audio-visual Co-learning for Text-independent Speaker VerificationMeng Liu, Kong Aik Lee, Longbiao Wang et al.
Visual speech (i.e., lip motion) is highly related to auditory speech due to the co-occurrence and synchronization in speech production. This paper investigates this correlation and proposes a cross-modal speech co-learning paradigm. The primary motivation of our cross-modal co-learning method is modeling one modality aided by exploiting knowledge from another modality. Specifically, two cross-modal boosters are introduced based on an audio-visual pseudo-siamese structure to learn the modality-transformed correlation. Inside each booster, a max-feature-map embedded Transformer variant is proposed for modality alignment and enhanced feature generation. The network is co-learned both from scratch and with pretrained models. Experimental results on the LRSLip3, GridLip, LomGridLip, and VoxLip datasets demonstrate that our proposed method achieves 60% and 20% average relative performance improvement over independently trained audio-only/visual-only and baseline fusion systems, respectively.

Deep Spectro-temporal Artifacts for Detecting Synthesized SpeechXiaohui Liu, Meng Liu, Lin Zhang et al.
The Audio Deep Synthesis Detection (ADD) Challenge has been held to detect generated human-like speech. With our submitted system, this paper provides an overall assessment of track 1 (Low-quality Fake Audio Detection) and track 2 (Partially Fake Audio Detection). In this paper, spectro-temporal artifacts were detected using raw temporal signals, spectral features, as well as deep embedding features. To address track 1, low-quality data augmentation, domain adaptation via finetuning, and various complementary feature information fusion were aggregated in our system. Furthermore, we analyzed the clustering characteristics of subsystems with different features by visualization method and explained the effectiveness of our proposed greedy fusion strategy. As for track 2, frame transition and smoothing were detected using self-supervised learning structure to capture the manipulation of PF attacks in the time domain. We ranked 4th and 5th in track 1 and track 2, respectively.

BEAVER: A Training-Free Hierarchical Prompt Compression Method via Structure-Aware Page SelectionZhengpei Hu, Kai Li, Dapeng Fu et al.
The exponential expansion of context windows in LLMs has unlocked capabilities for long-document understanding but introduced severe bottlenecks in inference latency and information utilization. Existing compression methods often suffer from high training costs or semantic fragmentation due to aggressive token pruning. In this paper, we propose BEAVER, a novel training-free framework that shifts compression from linear token removal to structure-aware hierarchical selection. BEAVER maximizes hardware parallelism by mapping variable-length contexts into dense page-level tensors via dual-path pooling, and preserves discourse integrity through a hybrid planner combining semantic and lexical dual-branch selection with sentence smoothing. Extensive evaluations on four long-context benchmarks demonstrate that BEAVER achieves comparable performance to state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods like LongLLMLingua. Notably, on the RULER benchmark, BEAVER maintains high fidelity in multi-needle retrieval where baselines deteriorate. Regarding efficiency, BEAVER reduces latency by 26.4x on 128k contexts, offering a scalable solution for high-throughput applications. Our code is available at https://cslikai.cn/BEAVER/.

A Benchmark for Multi-speaker AnonymizationXiaoxiao Miao, Ruijie Tao, Chang Zeng et al.
Privacy-preserving voice protection approaches primarily suppress privacy-related information derived from paralinguistic attributes while preserving the linguistic content. Existing solutions focus particularly on single-speaker scenarios. However, they lack practicality for real-world applications, i.e., multi-speaker scenarios. In this paper, we present an initial attempt to provide a multi-speaker anonymization benchmark by defining the task and evaluation protocol, proposing benchmarking solutions, and discussing the privacy leakage of overlapping conversations. The proposed benchmark solutions are based on a cascaded system that integrates spectral-clustering-based speaker diarization and disentanglement-based speaker anonymization using a selection-based anonymizer. To improve utility, the benchmark solutions are further enhanced by two conversation-level speaker vector anonymization methods. The first method minimizes the differential similarity across speaker pairs in the original and anonymized conversations, which maintains original speaker relationships in the anonymized version. The other minimizes the aggregated similarity across anonymized speakers, which achieves better differentiation between speakers.Experiments conducted on both non-overlap simulated and real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the multi-speaker anonymization system with the proposed speaker anonymizers. Speech tokenizers are essential for connecting speech to large language models (LLMs) in multimodal systems. These tokenizers are expected to preserve both semantic and acoustic information for downstream understanding and generation. However, emerging evidence suggests that what is termed "semantic" in speech representations does not align with text-derived semantics: a mismatch that can degrade multimodal LLM performance. In this paper, we systematically analyze the information encoded by several widely used speech tokenizers, disentangling their semantic and phonetic content through word-level probing tasks, layerwise representation analysis, and cross-modal alignment metrics such as CKA. Our results show that current tokenizers primarily capture phonetic rather than lexical-semantic structure, and we derive practical implications for the design of next-generation speech tokenization methods.

Beyond Universal Transformer: block reusing with adaptor in Transformer for automatic speech recognitionHaoyu Tang, Zhaoyi Liu, Chang Zeng et al.
Transformer-based models have recently made significant achievements in the application of end-to-end (E2E) automatic speech recognition (ASR). It is possible to deploy the E2E ASR system on smart devices with the help of Transformer-based models. While these models still have the disadvantage of requiring a large number of model parameters. To overcome the drawback of universal Transformer models for the application of ASR on edge devices, we propose a solution that can reuse the block in Transformer models for the occasion of the small footprint ASR system, which meets the objective of accommodating resource limitations without compromising recognition accuracy. Specifically, we design a novel block-reusing strategy for speech Transformer (BRST) to enhance the effectiveness of parameters and propose an adapter module (ADM) that can produce a compact and adaptable model with only a few additional trainable parameters accompanying each reusing block. We conducted an experiment with the proposed method on the public AISHELL-1 corpus, and the results show that the proposed approach achieves the character error rate (CER) of 9.3%/6.63% with only 7.6M/8.3M parameters without and with the ADM, respectively. In addition, we also make a deeper analysis to show the effect of ADM in the general block-reusing method.

We introduce Interactive Intelligence, a novel paradigm of digital human that is capable of personality-aligned expression, adaptive interaction, and self-evolution. To realize this, we present Mio (Multimodal Interactive Omni-Avatar), an end-to-end framework composed of five specialized modules: Thinker, Talker, Face Animator, Body Animator, and Renderer. This unified architecture integrates cognitive reasoning with real-time multimodal embodiment to enable fluid, consistent interaction. Furthermore, we establish a new benchmark to rigorously evaluate the capabilities of interactive intelligence. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our framework achieves superior performance compared to state-of-the-art methods across all evaluated dimensions. Together, these contributions move digital humans beyond superficial imitation toward intelligent interaction.

SpatialVID: A Large-Scale Video Dataset with Spatial AnnotationsJiahao Wang, Yufeng Yuan, Rujie Zheng et al.
Significant progress has been made in spatial intelligence, spanning both spatial reconstruction and world exploration. However, the scalability and real-world fidelity of current models remain severely constrained by the scarcity of large-scale, high-quality training data. While several datasets provide camera pose information, they are typically limited in scale, diversity, and annotation richness, particularly for real-world dynamic scenes with ground-truth camera motion. To this end, we collect \textbf{SpatialVID}, a dataset consists of a large corpus of in-the-wild videos with diverse scenes, camera movements and dense 3D annotations such as per-frame camera poses, depth, and motion instructions. Specifically, we collect more than 21,000 hours of raw video, and process them into 2.7 million clips through a hierarchical filtering pipeline, totaling 7,089 hours of dynamic content. A subsequent annotation pipeline enriches these clips with detailed spatial and semantic information, including camera poses, depth maps, dynamic masks, structured captions, and serialized motion instructions. Analysis of SpatialVID's data statistics reveals a richness and diversity that directly foster improved model generalization and performance, establishing it as a key asset for the video and 3D vision research community.

PAGS: Priority-Adaptive Gaussian Splatting for Dynamic Driving ScenesYing A, Wenzhang Sun, Chang Zeng et al.
Reconstructing dynamic 3D urban scenes is crucial for autonomous driving, yet current methods face a stark trade-off between fidelity and computational cost. This inefficiency stems from their semantically agnostic design, which allocates resources uniformly, treating static backgrounds and safety-critical objects with equal importance. To address this, we introduce Priority-Adaptive Gaussian Splatting (PAGS), a framework that injects task-aware semantic priorities directly into the 3D reconstruction and rendering pipeline. PAGS introduces two core contributions: (1) Semantically-Guided Pruning and Regularization strategy, which employs a hybrid importance metric to aggressively simplify non-critical scene elements while preserving fine-grained details on objects vital for navigation. (2) Priority-Driven Rendering pipeline, which employs a priority-based depth pre-pass to aggressively cull occluded primitives and accelerate the final shading computations. Extensive experiments on the Waymo and KITTI datasets demonstrate that PAGS achieves exceptional reconstruction quality, particularly on safety-critical objects, while significantly reducing training time and boosting rendering speeds to over 350 FPS.

DrivingScene: A Multi-Task Online Feed-Forward 3D Gaussian Splatting Method for Dynamic Driving ScenesQirui Hou, Wenzhang Sun, Chang Zeng et al.
Real-time, high-fidelity reconstruction of dynamic driving scenes is challenged by complex dynamics and sparse views, with prior methods struggling to balance quality and efficiency. We propose DrivingScene, an online, feed-forward framework that reconstructs 4D dynamic scenes from only two consecutive surround-view images. Our key innovation is a lightweight residual flow network that predicts the non-rigid motion of dynamic objects per camera on top of a learned static scene prior, explicitly modeling dynamics via scene flow. We also introduce a coarse-to-fine training paradigm that circumvents the instabilities common to end-to-end approaches. Experiments on nuScenes dataset show our image-only method simultaneously generates high-quality depth, scene flow, and 3D Gaussian point clouds online, significantly outperforming state-of-the-art methods in both dynamic reconstruction and novel view synthesis.

ComGS: Efficient 3D Object-Scene Composition via Surface Octahedral ProbesJian Gao, Mengqi Yuan, Yifei Zeng et al.
Gaussian Splatting (GS) enables immersive rendering, but realistic 3D object-scene composition remains challenging. Baked appearance and shadow information in GS radiance fields cause inconsistencies when combining objects and scenes. Addressing this requires relightable object reconstruction and scene lighting estimation. For relightable object reconstruction, existing Gaussian-based inverse rendering methods often rely on ray tracing, leading to low efficiency. We introduce Surface Octahedral Probes (SOPs), which store lighting and occlusion information and allow efficient 3D querying via interpolation, avoiding expensive ray tracing. SOPs provide at least a 2x speedup in reconstruction and enable real-time shadow computation in Gaussian scenes. For lighting estimation, existing Gaussian-based inverse rendering methods struggle to model intricate light transport and often fail in complex scenes, while learning-based methods predict lighting from a single image and are viewpoint-sensitive. We observe that 3D object-scene composition primarily concerns the object's appearance and nearby shadows. Thus, we simplify the challenging task of full scene lighting estimation by focusing on the environment lighting at the object's placement. Specifically, we capture a 360 degrees reconstructed radiance field of the scene at the location and fine-tune a diffusion model to complete the lighting. Building on these advances, we propose ComGS, a novel 3D object-scene composition framework. Our method achieves high-quality, real-time rendering at around 28 FPS, produces visually harmonious results with vivid shadows, and requires only 36 seconds for editing. Beyond Window-Based Detection: A Graph-Centric Framework for Discrete Log Anomaly DetectionJiaxing Qi, Chang Zeng, Zhongzhi Luan et al.
Detecting anomalies in discrete event logs is critical for ensuring system reliability, security, and efficiency. Traditional window-based methods for log anomaly detection often suffer from context bias and fuzzy localization, which hinder their ability to precisely and efficiently identify anomalies. To address these challenges, we propose a graph-centric framework, TempoLog, which leverages multi-scale temporal graph networks for discrete log anomaly detection. Unlike conventional methods, TempoLog constructs continuous-time dynamic graphs directly from event logs, eliminating the need for fixed-size window grouping. By representing log templates as nodes and their temporal relationships as edges, the framework dynamically captures both local and global dependencies across multiple temporal scales. Additionally, a semantic-aware model enhances detection by incorporating rich contextual information. Extensive experiments on public datasets demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance in event-level anomaly detection, significantly outperforming existing approaches in both accuracy and efficiency.

Quantum Machine Learning in Log-based Anomaly Detection: Challenges and OpportunitiesJiaxing Qi, Chang Zeng, Zhongzhi Luan et al.
Log-based anomaly detection (LogAD) is the main component of Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps), which can detect anomalous that occur during the system on-the-fly. Existing methods commonly extract log sequence features using classical machine learning techniques to identify whether a new sequence is an anomaly or not. However, these classical approaches often require trade-offs between efficiency and accuracy. The advent of quantum machine learning (QML) offers a promising alternative. By transforming parts of classical machine learning computations into parameterized quantum circuits (PQCs), QML can significantly reduce the number of trainable parameters while maintaining accuracy comparable to classical counterparts. In this work, we introduce a unified framework, \ourframework{}, for evaluating QML models in the context of LogAD. This framework incorporates diverse log data, integrated QML models, and comprehensive evaluation metrics. State-of-the-art methods such as DeepLog, LogAnomaly, and LogRobust, along with their quantum-transformed counterparts, are included in our framework.Beyond standard metrics like F1 score, precision, and recall, our evaluation extends to factors critical to QML performance, such as specificity, the number of circuits, circuit design, and quantum state encoding. Using \ourframework{}, we conduct extensive experiments to assess the performance of these models and their quantum counterparts, uncovering valuable insights and paving the way for future research in QML model selection and design for LogAD.

Exploring Deep Learning for Joint Audio-Visual Lip BiometricsMeng Liu, Longbiao Wang, Kong Aik Lee et al.
Audio-visual (AV) lip biometrics is a promising authentication technique that leverages the benefits of both the audio and visual modalities in speech communication. Previous works have demonstrated the usefulness of AV lip biometrics. However, the lack of a sizeable AV database hinders the exploration of deep-learning-based audio-visual lip biometrics. To address this problem, we compile a moderate-size database using existing public databases. Meanwhile, we establish the DeepLip AV lip biometrics system realized with a convolutional neural network (CNN) based video module, a time-delay neural network (TDNN) based audio module, and a multimodal fusion module. Our experiments show that DeepLip outperforms traditional speaker recognition models in context modeling and achieves over 50% relative improvements compared with our best single modality baseline, with an equal error rate of 0.75% and 1.11% on the test datasets, respectively.

Attention Back-end for Automatic Speaker Verification with Multiple Enrollment UtterancesChang Zeng, Xin Wang, Erica Cooper et al.
Probabilistic linear discriminant analysis (PLDA) or cosine similarity have been widely used in traditional speaker verification systems as back-end techniques to measure pairwise similarities. To make better use of multiple enrollment utterances, we propose a novel attention back-end model, which can be used for both text-independent (TI) and text-dependent (TD) speaker verification, and employ scaled-dot self-attention and feed-forward self-attention networks as architectures that learn the intra-relationships of the enrollment utterances. In order to verify the proposed attention back-end, we conduct a series of experiments on CNCeleb and VoxCeleb datasets by combining it with several sate-of-the-art speaker encoders including TDNN and ResNet. Experimental results using multiple enrollment utterances on CNCeleb show that the proposed attention back-end model leads to lower EER and minDCF score than the PLDA and cosine similarity counterparts for each speaker encoder and an experiment on VoxCeleb indicate that our model can be used even for single enrollment case.
