Unstructured data in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) often contains critical information -- complementary to imaging -- that could inform radiologists' diagnoses. But the large volume of notes often associated with patients together with time constraints renders manually identifying relevant evidence practically infeasible. In this work we propose and evaluate a zero-shot strategy for using LLMs as a mechanism to efficiently retrieve and summarize unstructured evidence in patient EHR relevant to a given query. Our method entails tasking an LLM to infer whether a patient has, or is at risk of, a particular condition on the basis of associated notes; if so, we ask the model to summarize the supporting evidence. Under expert evaluation, we find that this LLM-based approach provides outputs consistently preferred to a pre-LLM information retrieval baseline. Manual evaluation is expensive, so we also propose and validate a method using an LLM to evaluate (other) LLM outputs for this task, allowing us to scale up evaluation. Our findings indicate the promise of LLMs as interfaces to EHR, but also highlight the outstanding challenge posed by "hallucinations". In this setting, however, we show that model confidence in outputs strongly correlates with faithful summaries, offering a practical means to limit confabulations.

TextManiA: Enriching Visual Feature by Text-driven Manifold AugmentationMoon Ye-Bin, Jisoo Kim, Hongyeob Kim et al.
We propose TextManiA, a text-driven manifold augmentation method that semantically enriches visual feature spaces, regardless of class distribution. TextManiA augments visual data with intra-class semantic perturbation by exploiting easy-to-understand visually mimetic words, i.e., attributes. This work is built on an interesting hypothesis that general language models, e.g., BERT and GPT, encompass visual information to some extent, even without training on visual training data. Given the hypothesis, TextManiA transfers pre-trained text representation obtained from a well-established large language encoder to a target visual feature space being learned. Our extensive analysis hints that the language encoder indeed encompasses visual information at least useful to augment visual representation. Our experiments demonstrate that TextManiA is particularly powerful in scarce samples with class imbalance as well as even distribution. We also show compatibility with the label mix-based approaches in evenly distributed scarce data.

Pri4R: Learning World Dynamics for Vision-Language-Action Models with Privileged 4D RepresentationJisoo Kim, Jungbin Cho, Sanghyeok Chu et al.
Humans learn not only how their bodies move, but also how the surrounding world responds to their actions. In contrast, while recent Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models exhibit impressive semantic understanding, they often fail to capture the spatiotemporal dynamics governing physical interaction. In this paper, we introduce Pri4R, a simple yet effective approach that endows VLA models with an implicit understanding of world dynamics by leveraging privileged 4D information during training. Specifically, Pri4R augments VLAs with a lightweight point track head that predicts 3D point tracks. By injecting VLA features into this head to jointly predict future 3D trajectories, the model learns to incorporate evolving scene geometry within its shared representation space, enabling more physically aware context for precise control. Due to its architectural simplicity, Pri4R is compatible with dominant VLA design patterns with minimal changes. During inference, we run the model using the original VLA architecture unchanged; Pri4R adds no extra inputs, outputs, or computational overhead. Across simulation and real-world evaluations, Pri4R significantly improves performance on challenging manipulation tasks, including a +10% gain on LIBERO-Long and a +40% gain on RoboCasa. We further show that 3D point track prediction is an effective supervision target for learning action-world dynamics, and validate our design choices through extensive ablations.

Robust automatic brain vessel segmentation in 3D CTA scans using dynamic 4D-CTA dataAlberto Mario Ceballos-Arroyo, Shrikanth M. Yadav, Chu-Hsuan Lin et al.
In this study, we develop a novel methodology for annotating the brain vasculature using dynamic 4D-CTA head scans. By using multiple time points from dynamic CTA acquisitions, we subtract bone and soft tissue to enhance the visualization of arteries and veins, reducing the effort required to obtain manual annotations of brain vessels. We then train deep learning models on our ground truth annotations by using the same segmentation for multiple phases from the dynamic 4D-CTA collection, effectively enlarging our dataset by 4 to 5 times and inducing robustness to contrast phases. In total, our dataset comprises 110 training images from 25 patients and 165 test images from 14 patients. In comparison with two similarly-sized datasets for CTA-based brain vessel segmentation, a nnUNet model trained on our dataset can achieve significantly better segmentations across all vascular regions, with an average mDC of 0.846 for arteries and 0.957 for veins in the TopBrain dataset. Furthermore, metrics such as average directed Hausdorff distance (adHD) and topology sensitivity (tSens) reflected similar trends: using our dataset resulted in low error margins (adHD of 0.304 mm for arteries and 0.078 for veins) and high sensitivity (tSens of 0.877 for arteries and 0.974 for veins), indicating excellent accuracy in capturing vessel morphology. HRDexDB: A Large-Scale Dataset of Dexterous Human and Robotic Hand GraspsJongbin Lim, Taeyun Ha, Mingi Choi et al.
We present HRDexDB, a large-scale, multi-modal dataset of high-fidelity dexterous grasping sequences featuring both human and diverse robotic hands. Unlike existing datasets, HRDexDB provides a comprehensive collection of grasping trajectories across human hands and multiple robot hand embodiments, spanning 100 diverse objects. Leveraging state-of-the-art vision methods and a new dedicated multi-camera system, our HRDexDB offers high-precision spatiotemporal 3D ground-truth motion for both the agent and the manipulated object. To facilitate the study of physical interaction, HRDexDB includes high-resolution tactile signals, synchronized multi-view video, and egocentric video streams. The dataset comprises 1.4K grasping trials, encompassing both successes and failures, each enriched with visual, kinematic, and tactile modalities. By providing closely aligned captures of human dexterity and robotic execution on the same target objects under comparable grasping motions, HRDexDB serves as a foundational benchmark for multi-modal policy learning and cross-domain dexterous manipulation.

DEEPTalk: Dynamic Emotion Embedding for Probabilistic Speech-Driven 3D Face AnimationJisoo Kim, Jungbin Cho, Joonho Park et al.
Speech-driven 3D facial animation has garnered lots of attention thanks to its broad range of applications. Despite recent advancements in achieving realistic lip motion, current methods fail to capture the nuanced emotional undertones conveyed through speech and produce monotonous facial motion. These limitations result in blunt and repetitive facial animations, reducing user engagement and hindering their applicability. To address these challenges, we introduce DEEPTalk, a novel approach that generates diverse and emotionally rich 3D facial expressions directly from speech inputs. To achieve this, we first train DEE (Dynamic Emotion Embedding), which employs probabilistic contrastive learning to forge a joint emotion embedding space for both speech and facial motion. This probabilistic framework captures the uncertainty in interpreting emotions from speech and facial motion, enabling the derivation of emotion vectors from its multifaceted space. Moreover, to generate dynamic facial motion, we design TH-VQVAE (Temporally Hierarchical VQ-VAE) as an expressive and robust motion prior overcoming limitations of VAEs and VQ-VAEs. Utilizing these strong priors, we develop DEEPTalk, a talking head generator that non-autoregressively predicts codebook indices to create dynamic facial motion, incorporating a novel emotion consistency loss. Extensive experiments on various datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in creating diverse, emotionally expressive talking faces that maintain accurate lip-sync. V.I.P. : Iterative Online Preference Distillation for Efficient Video Diffusion ModelsJisoo Kim, Wooseok Seo, Junwan Kim et al.
With growing interest in deploying text-to-video (T2V) models in resource-constrained environments, reducing their high computational cost has become crucial, leading to extensive research on pruning and knowledge distillation methods while maintaining performance. However, existing distillation methods primarily rely on supervised fine-tuning (SFT), which often leads to mode collapse as pruned models with reduced capacity fail to directly match the teacher's outputs, ultimately resulting in degraded quality. To address this challenge, we propose an effective distillation method, ReDPO, that integrates DPO and SFT. Our approach leverages DPO to guide the student model to focus on recovering only the targeted properties, rather than passively imitating the teacher, while also utilizing SFT to enhance overall performance. We additionally propose V.I.P., a novel framework for filtering and curating high-quality pair datasets, along with a step-by-step online approach for calibrated training. We validate our method on two leading T2V models, VideoCrafter2 and AnimateDiff, achieving parameter reduction of 36.2% and 67.5% each, while maintaining or even surpassing the performance of full models. Further experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of both ReDPO and V.I.P. framework in enabling efficient and high-quality video generation. Automated anatomy-based post-processing reduces false positives and improved interpretability of deep learning intracranial aneurysm detectionJisoo Kim, Chu-Hsuan Lin, Alberto Ceballos-Arroyo et al.
Introduction: Deep learning (DL) models can help detect intracranial aneurysms on CTA, but high false positive (FP) rates remain a barrier to clinical translation, despite improvement in model architectures and strategies like detection threshold tuning. We employed an automated, anatomy-based, heuristic-learning hybrid artery-vein segmentation post-processing method to further reduce FPs. Methods: Two DL models, CPM-Net and a deformable 3D convolutional neural network-transformer hybrid (3D-CNN-TR), were trained with 1,186 open-source CTAs (1,373 annotated aneurysms), and evaluated with 143 held-out private CTAs (218 annotated aneurysms). Brain, artery, vein, and cavernous venous sinus (CVS) segmentation masks were applied to remove possible FPs in the DL outputs that overlapped with: (1) brain mask; (2) vein mask; (3) vein more than artery masks; (4) brain plus vein mask; (5) brain plus vein more than artery masks. Results: CPM-Net yielded 139 true-positives (TP); 79 false-negative (FN); 126 FP. 3D-CNN-TR yielded 179 TP; 39 FN; 182 FP. FPs were commonly extracranial (CPM-Net 27.3%; 3D-CNN-TR 42.3%), venous (CPM-Net 56.3%; 3D-CNN-TR 29.1%), arterial (CPM-Net 11.9%; 3D-CNN-TR 53.3%), and non-vascular (CPM-Net 25.4%; 3D-CNN-TR 9.3%) structures. Method 5 performed best, reducing CPM-Net FP by 70.6% (89/126) and 3D-CNN-TR FP by 51.6% (94/182), without reducing TP, lowering the FP/case rate from 0.88 to 0.26 for CPM-NET, and from 1.27 to 0.62 for the 3D-CNN-TR. Conclusion: Anatomy-based, interpretable post-processing can improve DL-based aneurysm detection model performance. More broadly, automated, domain-informed, hybrid heuristic-learning processing holds promise for improving the performance and clinical acceptance of aneurysm detection models.

OmniRobotHome: A Multi-Camera Platform for Real-Time Multiadic Human-Robot InteractionJunyoung Lee, Sookwan Han, Jeonghwan Kim et al.
Human-robot collaboration has been studied primarily in dyadic or sequential settings. However, real homes require multiadic collaboration, where multiple humans and robots share a workspace, acting concurrently on interleaved subtasks with tight spatial and temporal coupling. This regime remains underexplored because close-proximity interaction between humans, robots, and objects creates persistent occlusion and rapid state changes, making reliable real-time 3D tracking the central bottleneck. No existing platform provides the real-time, occlusion-robust, room-scale perception needed to make this regime experimentally tractable. We present OmniRobotHome, the first room-scale residential platform that unifies wide-area real-time 3D human and object perception with coordinated multi-robot actuation in a shared world frame. The system instruments a natural home environment with 48 hardware-synchronized RGB cameras for markerless, occlusion-robust tracking of multiple humans and objects, temporally aligned with two Franka arms that act on live scene state. Continuous capture within this consistent frame further supports long-horizon human behavior modeling from accumulated trajectories. The platform makes the multiadic collaboration regime experimentally tractable. We focus on two central problems: safety in shared human-robot environments and human-anticipatory robotic assistance, and show that real-time perception and accumulated behavior memory each yield measurable gains in both.

Learning to Transfer Human Hand Skills for Robot ManipulationsSungjae Park, Seungho Lee, Mingi Choi et al.
We present a method for teaching dexterous manipulation tasks to robots from human hand motion demonstrations. Unlike existing approaches that solely rely on kinematics information without taking into account the plausibility of robot and object interaction, our method directly infers plausible robot manipulation actions from human motion demonstrations. To address the embodiment gap between the human hand and the robot system, our approach learns a joint motion manifold that maps human hand movements, robot hand actions, and object movements in 3D, enabling us to infer one motion component from others. Our key idea is the generation of pseudo-supervision triplets, which pair human, object, and robot motion trajectories synthetically. Through real-world experiments with robot hand manipulation, we demonstrate that our data-driven retargeting method significantly outperforms conventional retargeting techniques, effectively bridging the embodiment gap between human and robotic hands. DisCoRD: Discrete Tokens to Continuous Motion via Rectified Flow DecodingJungbin Cho, Junwan Kim, Jisoo Kim et al.
Human motion is inherently continuous and dynamic, posing significant challenges for generative models. While discrete generation methods are widely used, they suffer from limited expressiveness and frame-wise noise artifacts. In contrast, continuous approaches produce smoother, more natural motion but often struggle to adhere to conditioning signals due to high-dimensional complexity and limited training data. To resolve this 'discord' between discrete and continuous representations we introduce DisCoRD: Discrete Tokens to Continuous Motion via Rectified Flow Decoding, a novel method that leverages rectified flow to decode discrete motion tokens in the continuous, raw motion space. Our core idea is to frame token decoding as a conditional generation task, ensuring that DisCoRD captures fine-grained dynamics and achieves smoother, more natural motions. Compatible with any discrete-based framework, our method enhances naturalness without compromising faithfulness to the conditioning signals on diverse settings. Extensive evaluations demonstrate that DisCoRD achieves state-of-the-art performance, with FID of 0.032 on HumanML3D and 0.169 on KIT-ML. Integrating Spatial and Frequency Information for Under-Display Camera Image RestorationKyusu Ahn, Jinpyo Kim, Chanwoo Park et al.
Under-Display Camera (UDC) houses a digital camera lens under a display panel. However, UDC introduces complex degradations such as noise, blur, decrease in transmittance, and flare. Despite the remarkable progress, previous research on UDC mainly focuses on eliminating diffraction in the spatial domain and rarely explores its potential in the frequency domain. It is essential to consider both the spatial and frequency domains effectively. For example, degradations, such as noise and blur, can be addressed by local information (e.g., CNN kernels in the spatial domain). At the same time, tackling flares may require leveraging global information (e.g., the frequency domain). In this paper, we revisit the UDC degradations in the Fourier space and figure out intrinsic frequency priors that imply the presence of the flares. Based on this observation, we propose a novel multi-level DNN architecture called SFIM. It efficiently restores UDC-distorted images by integrating local and global (the collective contribution of all points in the image) information. The architecture exploits CNNs to capture local information and FFT-based models to capture global information. SFIM comprises a spatial domain block (SDB), a Frequency Domain Block (FDB), and an Attention-based Multi-level Integration Block (AMIB). Specifically, SDB focuses more on detailed textures such as noise and blur, FDB emphasizes irregular texture loss in extensive areas such as flare, and AMIB enables effective cross-domain interaction. SFIM's superior performance over state-of-the-art approaches is demonstrated through rigorous quantitative and qualitative assessments across three UDC benchmarks.

Speaking Beyond Language: A Large-Scale Multimodal Dataset for Learning Nonverbal Cues from Video-Grounded DialoguesYoungmin Kim, Jiwan Chung, Jisoo Kim et al.
Nonverbal communication is integral to human interaction, with gestures, facial expressions, and body language conveying critical aspects of intent and emotion. However, existing large language models (LLMs) fail to effectively incorporate these nonverbal elements, limiting their capacity to create fully immersive conversational experiences. We introduce MARS, a multimodal language model designed to understand and generate nonverbal cues alongside text, bridging this gap in conversational AI. Our key innovation is VENUS, a large-scale dataset comprising annotated videos with time-aligned text, facial expressions, and body language. Leveraging VENUS, we train MARS with a next-token prediction objective, combining text with vector-quantized nonverbal representations to achieve multimodal understanding and generation within a unified framework. Based on various analyses of the VENUS datasets, we validate its substantial scale and high effectiveness. Our quantitative and qualitative results demonstrate that MARS successfully generates text and nonverbal languages, corresponding to conversational input.

Dynamic-Computed Tomography Angiography for Cerebral Vessel Templates and SegmentationShrikanth Yadav, Jisoo Kim, Geoffrey Young et al.
Background: Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) is crucial for cerebrovascular disease diagnosis. Dynamic CTA is a type of imaging that captures temporal information about the We aim to develop and evaluate two segmentation techniques to segment vessels directly on CTA images: (1) creating and registering population-averaged vessel atlases and (2) using deep learning (DL). Methods: We retrieved 4D-CT of the head from our institutional research database, with bone and soft tissue subtracted from post-contrast images. An Advanced Normalization Tools pipeline was used to create angiographic atlases from 25 patients. Then, atlas-driven ROIs were identified by a CT attenuation threshold to generate segmentation of the arteries and veins using non-linear registration. To create DL vessel segmentations, arterial and venous structures were segmented using the MRA vessel segmentation tool, iCafe, in 29 patients. These were then used to train a DL model, with bone-in CT images as input. Multiple phase images in the 4D-CT were used to increase the training and validation dataset. Both segmentation approaches were evaluated on a test 4D-CT dataset of 11 patients which were also processed by iCafe and validated by a neuroradiologist. Specifically, branch-wise segmentation accuracy was quantified with 20 labels for arteries and one for veins. DL outperformed the atlas-based segmentation models for arteries (average modified dice coefficient (amDC) 0.856 vs. 0.324) and veins (amDC 0.743 vs. 0.495) overall. For ICAs, vertebral and basilar arteries, DL and atlas -based segmentation had an amDC of 0.913 and 0.402, respectively. The amDC for MCA-M1, PCA-P1, and ACA-A1 segments were 0.932 and 0.474, respectively. Conclusion: Angiographic CT templates are developed for the first time in literature. Using 4D-CTA enables the use of tools like iCafe, lessening the burden of manual annotation.

EgoSpeak: Learning When to Speak for Egocentric Conversational Agents in the WildJunhyeok Kim, Min Soo Kim, Jiwan Chung et al.
Predicting when to initiate speech in real-world environments remains a fundamental challenge for conversational agents. We introduce EgoSpeak, a novel framework for real-time speech initiation prediction in egocentric streaming video. By modeling the conversation from the speaker's first-person viewpoint, EgoSpeak is tailored for human-like interactions in which a conversational agent must continuously observe its environment and dynamically decide when to talk. Our approach bridges the gap between simplified experimental setups and complex natural conversations by integrating four key capabilities: (1) first-person perspective, (2) RGB processing, (3) online processing, and (4) untrimmed video processing. We also present YT-Conversation, a diverse collection of in-the-wild conversational videos from YouTube, as a resource for large-scale pretraining. Experiments on EasyCom and Ego4D demonstrate that EgoSpeak outperforms random and silence-based baselines in real time. Our results also highlight the importance of multimodal input and context length in effectively deciding when to speak.

SceneAdapt: Scene-aware Adaptation of Human Motion DiffusionJungbin Cho, Minsu Kim, Jisoo Kim et al.
Human motion is inherently diverse and semantically rich, while also shaped by the surrounding scene. However, existing motion generation approaches address either motion semantics or scene-awareness in isolation, since constructing large-scale datasets with both rich text--motion coverage and precise scene interactions is extremely challenging. In this work, we introduce SceneAdapt, a framework that injects scene awareness into text-conditioned motion models by leveraging disjoint scene--motion and text--motion datasets through two adaptation stages: inbetweening and scene-aware inbetweening. The key idea is to use motion inbetweening, learnable without text, as a proxy task to bridge two distinct datasets and thereby inject scene-awareness to text-to-motion models. In the first stage, we introduce keyframing layers that modulate motion latents for inbetweening while preserving the latent manifold. In the second stage, we add a scene-conditioning layer that injects scene geometry by adaptively querying local context through cross-attention. Experimental results show that SceneAdapt effectively injects scene awareness into text-to-motion models, and we further analyze the mechanisms through which this awareness emerges. GEM: A Scale-Aware and Distribution-Sensitive Sparse Fine-Tuning Framework for Effective Downstream AdaptationSungmin Kang, Jisoo Kim, Salman Avestimehr et al.
Parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) has become a popular way to adapt large pre-trained models to new tasks. Most PEFT methods update only a small subset of parameters while freezing the rest, avoiding redundant computation. As they maximize the absolute size of the updates without regard to the parameters' original scale, the resulting changes in model behavior can be minimal. In contrast, we maximize updates relative to each parameter's scale, yielding more meaningful downstream adaptation. We propose Gradient-to-Weight Ratio and Entropy-guided Masking (GEM), a parameter scale-aware, distribution-sensitive sparse fine-tuning framework. GEM prioritizes parameters whose updates are significant in proportion to their initial pre-trained values. It also adaptively determines how many parameters to tune at each layer based on the entropy of parameter values, thereby making the most effective use of the computational budget in PEFT. Our empirical study demonstrates the efficacy of GEM on both general-domain tasks (GLUE and SuperGLUE) and domain-specific tasks (GSM8k and MBPP), achieving up to a 1.6% improvement in fine-tuning accuracy over full fine-tuning while updating only 0.1% of model parameters.

Layer-wise Update Aggregation with Recycling for Communication-Efficient Federated LearningJisoo Kim, Sungmin Kang, Sunwoo Lee
Expensive communication cost is a common performance bottleneck in Federated Learning (FL), which makes it less appealing in real-world applications. Many communication-efficient FL methods focus on discarding a part of model updates mostly based on gradient magnitude. In this study, we find that recycling previous updates, rather than simply dropping them, more effectively reduces the communication cost while maintaining FL performance. We propose FedLUAR, a Layer-wise Update Aggregation with Recycling scheme for communication-efficient FL. We first define a useful metric that quantifies the extent to which the aggregated gradients influences the model parameter values in each layer. FedLUAR selects a few layers based on the metric and recycles their previous updates on the server side. Our extensive empirical study demonstrates that the update recycling scheme significantly reduces the communication cost while maintaining model accuracy. For example, our method achieves nearly the same AG News accuracy as FedAvg, while reducing the communication cost to just 17%.

Intracranial aneurysms are a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and detecting them manually is a complex, time-consuming task. Albeit automated solutions are desirable, the limited availability of training data makes it difficult to develop such solutions using typical supervised learning frameworks. In this work, we propose a novel pre-training strategy using more widely available unannotated head CT scan data to pre-train a 3D Vision Transformer model prior to fine-tuning for the aneurysm detection task. Specifically, we modify masked auto-encoder (MAE) pre-training in the following ways: we use a factorized self-attention mechanism to make 3D attention computationally viable, we restrict the masked patches to areas near arteries to focus on areas where aneurysms are likely to occur, and we reconstruct not only CT scan intensity values but also artery distance maps, which describe the distance between each voxel and the closest artery, thereby enhancing the backbone's learned representations. Compared with SOTA aneurysm detection models, our approach gains +4-8% absolute Sensitivity at a false positive rate of 0.5. Code and weights will be released.

UDC-VIT: A Real-World Video Dataset for Under-Display CamerasKyusu Ahn, JiSoo Kim, Sangik Lee et al.
Even though an Under-Display Camera (UDC) is an advanced imaging system, the display panel significantly degrades captured images or videos, introducing low transmittance, blur, noise, and flare issues. Tackling such issues is challenging because of the complex degradation of UDCs, including diverse flare patterns. However, no dataset contains videos of real-world UDC degradation. In this paper, we propose a real-world UDC video dataset called UDC-VIT. Unlike existing datasets, UDC-VIT exclusively includes human motions for facial recognition. We propose a video-capturing system to acquire clean and UDC-degraded videos of the same scene simultaneously. Then, we align a pair of captured videos frame by frame, using discrete Fourier transform (DFT). We compare UDC-VIT with six representative UDC still image datasets and two existing UDC video datasets. Using six deep-learning models, we compare UDC-VIT and an existing synthetic UDC video dataset. The results indicate the ineffectiveness of models trained on earlier synthetic UDC video datasets, as they do not reflect the actual characteristics of UDC-degraded videos. We also demonstrate the importance of effective UDC restoration by evaluating face recognition accuracy concerning PSNR, SSIM, and LPIPS scores. Theme-Explanation Structure for Table Summarization using Large Language Models: A Case Study on Korean Tabular DataTaeYoon Kwack, Jisoo Kim, Ki Yong Jung et al.
Tables are a primary medium for conveying critical information in administrative domains, yet their complexity hinders utilization by Large Language Models (LLMs). This paper introduces the Theme-Explanation Structure-based Table Summarization (Tabular-TX) pipeline, a novel approach designed to generate highly interpretable summaries from tabular data, with a specific focus on Korean administrative documents. Current table summarization methods often neglect the crucial aspect of human-friendly output. Tabular-TX addresses this by first employing a multi-step reasoning process to ensure deep table comprehension by LLMs, followed by a journalist persona prompting strategy for clear sentence generation. Crucially, it then structures the output into a Theme Part (an adverbial phrase) and an Explanation Part (a predicative clause), significantly enhancing readability. Our approach leverages in-context learning, obviating the need for extensive fine-tuning and associated labeled data or computational resources. Experimental results show that Tabular-TX effectively processes complex table structures and metadata, offering a robust and efficient solution for generating human-centric table summaries, especially in low-resource scenarios.

ParaHome: Parameterizing Everyday Home Activities Towards 3D Generative Modeling of Human-Object InteractionsJeonghwan Kim, Jisoo Kim, Jeonghyeon Na et al.
To enable machines to understand the way humans interact with the physical world in daily life, 3D interaction signals should be captured in natural settings, allowing people to engage with multiple objects in a range of sequential and casual manipulations. To achieve this goal, we introduce our ParaHome system designed to capture dynamic 3D movements of humans and objects within a common home environment. Our system features a multi-view setup with 70 synchronized RGB cameras, along with wearable motion capture devices including an IMU-based body suit and hand motion capture gloves. By leveraging the ParaHome system, we collect a new human-object interaction dataset, including 486 minutes of sequences across 207 captures with 38 participants, offering advancements with three key aspects: (1) capturing body motion and dexterous hand manipulation motion alongside multiple objects within a contextual home environment; (2) encompassing sequential and concurrent manipulations paired with text descriptions; and (3) including articulated objects with multiple parts represented by 3D parameterized models. We present detailed design justifications for our system, and perform key generative modeling experiments to demonstrate the potential of our dataset.

Constructing Vec-tionaries to Extract Message Features from Texts: A Case Study of Moral AppealsZening Duan, Anqi Shao, Yicheng Hu et al.
While researchers often study message features like moral content in text, such as party manifestos and social media, their quantification remains a challenge. Conventional human coding struggles with scalability and intercoder reliability. While dictionary-based methods are cost-effective and computationally efficient, they often lack contextual sensitivity and are limited by the vocabularies developed for the original applications. In this paper, we present an approach to construct vec-tionary measurement tools that boost validated dictionaries with word embeddings through nonlinear optimization. By harnessing semantic relationships encoded by embeddings, vec-tionaries improve the measurement of message features from text, especially those in short format, by expanding the applicability of original vocabularies to other contexts. Importantly, a vec-tionary can produce additional metrics to capture the valence and ambivalence of a message feature beyond its strength in texts. Using moral content in tweets as a case study, we illustrate the steps to construct the moral foundations vec-tionary, showcasing its ability to process texts missed by conventional dictionaries and word embedding methods and to produce measurements better aligned with crowdsourced human assessments. Furthermore, additional metrics from the vec-tionary unveiled unique insights that facilitated predicting outcomes such as message retransmission.

Multi-Temporal Recurrent Neural Networks For Progressive Non-Uniform Single Image Deblurring With Incremental Temporal TrainingDongwon Park, Dong Un Kang, Jisoo Kim et al.
Multi-scale (MS) approaches have been widely investigated for blind single image / video deblurring that sequentially recovers deblurred images in low spatial scale first and then in high spatial scale later with the output of lower scales. MS approaches have been effective especially for severe blurs induced by large motions in high spatial scale since those can be seen as small blurs in low spatial scale. In this work, we investigate alternative approach to MS, called multi-temporal (MT) approach, for non-uniform single image deblurring. We propose incremental temporal training with constructed MT level dataset from time-resolved dataset, develop novel MT-RNNs with recurrent feature maps, and investigate progressive single image deblurring over iterations. Our proposed MT methods outperform state-of-the-art MS methods on the GoPro dataset in PSNR with the smallest number of parameters.

Down-Scaling with Learned Kernels in Multi-Scale Deep Neural Networks for Non-Uniform Single Image DeblurringDongwon Park, Jisoo Kim, Se Young Chun
Multi-scale approach has been used for blind image / video deblurring problems to yield excellent performance for both conventional and recent deep-learning-based state-of-the-art methods. Bicubic down-sampling is a typical choice for multi-scale approach to reduce spatial dimension after filtering with a fixed kernel. However, this fixed kernel may be sub-optimal since it may destroy important information for reliable deblurring such as strong edges. We propose convolutional neural network (CNN)-based down-scale methods for multi-scale deep-learning-based non-uniform single image deblurring. We argue that our CNN-based down-scaling effectively reduces the spatial dimension of the original image, while learned kernels with multiple channels may well-preserve necessary details for deblurring tasks. For each scale, we adopt to use RCAN (Residual Channel Attention Networks) as a backbone network to further improve performance. Our proposed method yielded state-of-the-art performance on GoPro dataset by large margin. Our proposed method was able to achieve 2.59dB higher PSNR than the current state-of-the-art method by Tao. Our proposed CNN-based down-scaling was the key factor for this excellent performance since the performance of our network without it was decreased by 1.98dB. The same networks trained with GoPro set were also evaluated on large-scale Su dataset and our proposed method yielded 1.15dB better PSNR than the Tao's method. Qualitative comparisons on Lai dataset also confirmed the superior performance of our proposed method over other state-of-the-art methods.
