Alignment-Guided Score Matching for Text-to-Image Alignment in Diffusion ModelsJaa-Yeon Lee, Yeobin Hong, Taesung Kwon et al.
Diffusion models generate highly realistic images but often struggle with precise text-image alignment. While recent post-training methods improve alignment using external rewards or human preference signals, their performance heavily depends on reward quality and does not directly address alignment within the diffusion process itself. Recent reward-free approaches such as SoftREPA demonstrate that optimizing soft text tokens via contrastive learning can effectively improve text-image representation alignment, outperforming standard parameter-efficient fine-tuning baselines. However, the contrastive formulation can excessively penalize negative pairs, which manifests as characteristic failure cases such as over-counting and repetition. To address this issue, we propose a lightweight, reward-free post-training method that refines soft tokens by integrating contrastive alignment guidance directly into the score-matching objective of diffusion models. By assigning alignment directions at the score level, our approach mitigates these limitations and yields more coherent and semantically faithful generations. Experiments show that our method matches SoftREPA while substantially improving its failure cases, achieving over 35% improvement in counting accuracy on the GenEval benchmark. Our method is seamlessly applicable to existing diffusion backbones (SD1.5, SDXL, and SD3), and is complementary to existing RL-based diffusion post-training methods. GaussianTalker: Real-Time High-Fidelity Talking Head Synthesis with Audio-Driven 3D Gaussian SplattingKyusun Cho, Joungbin Lee, Heeji Yoon et al.
We propose GaussianTalker, a novel framework for real-time generation of pose-controllable talking heads. It leverages the fast rendering capabilities of 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) while addressing the challenges of directly controlling 3DGS with speech audio. GaussianTalker constructs a canonical 3DGS representation of the head and deforms it in sync with the audio. A key insight is to encode the 3D Gaussian attributes into a shared implicit feature representation, where it is merged with audio features to manipulate each Gaussian attribute. This design exploits the spatial-aware features and enforces interactions between neighboring points. The feature embeddings are then fed to a spatial-audio attention module, which predicts frame-wise offsets for the attributes of each Gaussian. It is more stable than previous concatenation or multiplication approaches for manipulating the numerous Gaussians and their intricate parameters. Experimental results showcase GaussianTalker's superiority in facial fidelity, lip synchronization accuracy, and rendering speed compared to previous methods. Specifically, GaussianTalker achieves a remarkable rendering speed up to 120 FPS, surpassing previous benchmarks. Our code is made available at https://github.com/KU-CVLAB/GaussianTalker/ .

InverseCrafter: Efficient Video ReCapture as a Latent Domain Inverse ProblemYeobin Hong, Suhyeon Lee, Hyungjin Chung et al.
Recent approaches to controllable 4D video generation often rely on fine-tuning pre-trained Video Diffusion Models (VDMs). This dominant paradigm is computationally expensive, requiring large-scale datasets and architectural modifications, and frequently suffers from catastrophic forgetting of the model's original generative priors. Here, we propose InverseCrafter, an efficient inpainting inverse solver that reformulates the 4D generation task as an inpainting problem solved in the latent space. The core of our method is a principled mechanism to encode the pixel space degradation operator into a continuous, multi-channel latent mask, thereby bypassing the costly bottleneck of repeated VAE operations and backpropagation. InverseCrafter not only achieves comparable novel view generation and superior measurement consistency in camera control tasks with near-zero computational overhead, but also excels at general-purpose video inpainting with editing. FlowAlign: Trajectory-Regularized, Inversion-Free Flow-based Image EditingJeongsol Kim, Yeobin Hong, Jonghyun Park et al.
Recent inversion-free, flow-based image editing methods such as FlowEdit leverages a pre-trained noise-to-image flow model such as Stable Diffusion 3, enabling text-driven manipulation by solving an ordinary differential equation (ODE). While the lack of exact latent inversion is a core advantage of these methods, it often results in unstable editing trajectories and poor source consistency. To address this limitation, we propose {\em FlowAlign}, a novel inversion-free flow-based framework for consistent image editing with optimal control-based trajectory control. Specifically, FlowAlign introduces source similarity at the terminal point as a regularization term to promote smoother and more consistent trajectories during the editing process. Notably, our terminal point regularization is shown to explicitly balance semantic alignment with the edit prompt and structural consistency with the source image along the trajectory. Furthermore, FlowAlign naturally supports reverse editing by simply reversing the ODE trajectory, highliting the reversible and consistent nature of the transformation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that FlowAlign outperforms existing methods in both source preservation and editing controllability.

DreamMakeup: Face Makeup Customization using Latent Diffusion ModelsGeon Yeong Park, Inhwa Han, Serin Yang et al.
The exponential growth of the global makeup market has paralleled advancements in virtual makeup simulation technology. Despite the progress led by GANs, their application still encounters significant challenges, including training instability and limited customization capabilities. Addressing these challenges, we introduce DreamMakup - a novel training-free Diffusion model based Makeup Customization method, leveraging the inherent advantages of diffusion models for superior controllability and precise real-image editing. DreamMakeup employs early-stopped DDIM inversion to preserve the facial structure and identity while enabling extensive customization through various conditioning inputs such as reference images, specific RGB colors, and textual descriptions. Our model demonstrates notable improvements over existing GAN-based and recent diffusion-based frameworks - improved customization, color-matching capabilities, identity preservation and compatibility with textual descriptions or LLMs with affordable computational costs.
