OneBEV: Using One Panoramic Image for Bird's-Eye-View Semantic MappingJiale Wei, Junwei Zheng, Ruiping Liu et al.
In the field of autonomous driving, Bird's-Eye-View (BEV) perception has attracted increasing attention in the community since it provides more comprehensive information compared with pinhole front-view images and panoramas. Traditional BEV methods, which rely on multiple narrow-field cameras and complex pose estimations, often face calibration and synchronization issues. To break the wall of the aforementioned challenges, in this work, we introduce OneBEV, a novel BEV semantic mapping approach using merely a single panoramic image as input, simplifying the mapping process and reducing computational complexities. A distortion-aware module termed Mamba View Transformation (MVT) is specifically designed to handle the spatial distortions in panoramas, transforming front-view features into BEV features without leveraging traditional attention mechanisms. Apart from the efficient framework, we contribute two datasets, i.e., nuScenes-360 and DeepAccident-360, tailored for the OneBEV task. Experimental results showcase that OneBEV achieves state-of-the-art performance with 51.1% and 36.1% mIoU on nuScenes-360 and DeepAccident-360, respectively. This work advances BEV semantic mapping in autonomous driving, paving the way for more advanced and reliable autonomous systems.
Reprint: a randomized extrapolation based on principal components for data augmentationLe Li, Jiale Wei, Pai Peng et al.
Data scarcity and data imbalance have attracted a lot of attention in many fields. Data augmentation, explored as an effective approach to tackle them, can improve the robustness and efficiency of classification models by generating new samples. This paper presents REPRINT, a simple and effective hidden-space data augmentation method for imbalanced data classification. Given hidden-space representations of samples in each class, REPRINT extrapolates, in a randomized fashion, augmented examples for target class by using subspaces spanned by principal components to summarize distribution structure of both source and target class. Consequently, the examples generated would diversify the target while maintaining the original geometry of target distribution. Besides, this method involves a label refinement component which allows to synthesize new soft labels for augmented examples. Compared with different NLP data augmentation approaches under a range of data imbalanced scenarios on four text classification benchmark, REPRINT shows prominent improvements. Moreover, through comprehensive ablation studies, we show that label refinement is better than label-preserving for augmented examples, and that our method suggests stable and consistent improvements in terms of suitable choices of principal components. Moreover, REPRINT is appealing for its easy-to-use since it contains only one hyperparameter determining the dimension of subspace and requires low computational resource.

Exploring Single Domain Generalization of LiDAR-based Semantic Segmentation under Imperfect LabelsWeitong Kong, Zichao Zeng, Di Wen et al.
Accurate perception is critical for vehicle safety, with LiDAR as a key enabler in autonomous driving. To ensure robust performance across environments, sensor types, and weather conditions without costly re-annotation, domain generalization in LiDAR-based 3D semantic segmentation is essential. However, LiDAR annotations are often noisy due to sensor imperfections, occlusions, and human errors. Such noise degrades segmentation accuracy and is further amplified under domain shifts, threatening system reliability. While noisy-label learning is well-studied in images, its extension to 3D LiDAR segmentation under domain generalization remains largely unexplored, as the sparse and irregular structure of point clouds limits direct use of 2D methods. To address this gap, we introduce the novel task Domain Generalization for LiDAR Semantic Segmentation under Noisy Labels (DGLSS-NL) and establish the first benchmark by adapting three representative noisy-label learning strategies from image classification to 3D segmentation. However, we find that existing noisy-label learning approaches adapt poorly to LiDAR data. We therefore propose DuNe, a dual-view framework with strong and weak branches that enforce feature-level consistency and apply cross-entropy loss based on confidence-aware filtering of predictions. Our approach shows state-of-the-art performance by achieving 56.86% mIoU on SemanticKITTI, 42.28% on nuScenes, and 52.58% on SemanticPOSS under 10% symmetric label noise, with an overall Arithmetic Mean (AM) of 49.57% and Harmonic Mean (HM) of 48.50%, thereby demonstrating robust domain generalization in DGLSS-NL tasks. The code is available on our project page.
Deformable Mamba for Wide Field of View SegmentationJie Hu, Junwei Zheng, Jiale Wei et al.
Recent advancements in the Mamba architecture, with its linear computational complexity, being a promising alternative to transformer architectures suffering from quadratic complexity. While existing works primarily focus on adapting Mamba as vision encoders, the critical role of task-specific Mamba decoders remains under-explored, particularly for distortion-prone dense prediction tasks. This paper addresses two interconnected challenges: (1) The design of a Mamba-based decoder that seamlessly adapts to various architectures (e.g., CNN-, Transformer-, and Mamba-based backbones), and (2) The performance degradation in decoders lacking distortion-aware capability when processing wide-FoV images (e.g., 180° fisheye and 360° panoramic settings). We propose the Deformable Mamba Decoder, an efficient distortion-aware decoder that integrates Mamba's computational efficiency with adaptive distortion awareness. Comprehensive experiments on five wide-FoV segmentation benchmarks validate its effectiveness. Notably, our decoder achieves a +2.5% performance improvement on the 360° Stanford2D3D segmentation benchmark while reducing 72% parameters and 97% FLOPs, as compared to the widely-used decoder heads.
