WavTokenizer: an Efficient Acoustic Discrete Codec Tokenizer for Audio Language Modeling

Language models have been effectively applied to modeling natural signals, such as images, video, speech, and audio. A crucial component of these models is the codec tokenizer, which compresses high-dimensional natural signals into lower-dimensional discrete tokens. In this paper, we introduce WavTokenizer, which offers several advantages over previous SOTA acoustic codec models in the audio domain: 1)extreme compression. By compressing the layers of quantizers and the temporal dimension of the discrete codec, one-second audio of 24kHz sampling rate requires only a single quantizer with 40 or 75 tokens. 2)improved subjective quality. Despite the reduced number of tokens, WavTokenizer achieves state-of-the-art reconstruction quality with outstanding UTMOS scores and inherently contains richer semantic information. Specifically, we achieve these results by designing a broader VQ space, extended contextual windows, and improved attention networks, as well as introducing a powerful multi-scale discriminator and an inverse Fourier transform structure. We conducted extensive reconstruction experiments in the domains of speech, audio, and music. WavTokenizer exhibited strong performance across various objective and subjective metrics compared to state-of-the-art models. We also tested semantic information, VQ utilization, and adaptability to generative models. Comprehensive ablation studies confirm the necessity of each module in WavTokenizer. From Perception to Planning: Evolving Ego-Centric Task-Oriented Spatiotemporal Reasoning via Curriculum Learning

Modern vision-language models achieve strong performance in static perception, but remain limited in the complex spatiotemporal reasoning required for embodied, egocentric tasks. A major source of failure is their reliance on temporal priors learned from passive video data, which often leads to spatiotemporal hallucinations and poor generalization in dynamic environments. To address this, we present EgoTSR, a curriculum-based framework for learning task-oriented spatiotemporal reasoning. EgoTSR is built on the premise that embodied reasoning should evolve from explicit spatial understanding to internalized task-state assessment and finally to long-horizon planning. To support this paradigm, we construct EgoTSR-Data, a large-scale dataset comprising 46 million samples organized into three stages: Chain-of-Thought (CoT) supervision, weakly supervised tagging, and long-horizon sequences. Extensive experiments demonstrate that EgoTSR effectively eliminates chronological biases, achieving 92.4% accuracy on long-horizon logical reasoning tasks while maintaining high fine-grained perceptual precision, significantly outperforming existing open-source and closed-source state-of-the-art models.

DocRetriever: A Plug-and-Play Framework for Multimodal Document Retrieval with Comprehensive Benchmark

Multimodal documents contain diverse elements, such as tables, figures, and layouts, which can complicate retrieval tasks. While current approaches typically combine dense visual embedding models with supervised rerankers to achieve high-precision retrieval, they face inherent limitations. First, the coarse-grained nature of dense embeddings tends to obfuscate explicit semantics, failing to leverage structurally salient information. Second, supervised reranking models suffer from generalization bottlenecks, as their performance heavily relies on domain-specific training data. Furthermore, existing benchmarks often lack diverse assessment dimensions and comprehensive relevance annotations, limiting reliable evaluation. To address these challenges, we propose DocRetriever, a plug-and-play framework. It enhances visual retrieval via a layout-aware sparse embedding technique, enabling effective hybrid encoding without the overhead of optical character recognition (OCR). We also introduce a generalizable reranker that leverages reasoning-augmented demonstrations and optimized sampling to improve accuracy in few-shot settings. Finally, we construct a new benchmark, MultiDocR, to enable more rigorous evaluation. Experiments across diverse benchmarks validate DocRetriever's superiority over state-of-the-art methods.

WavChat: A Survey of Spoken Dialogue Models

Recent advancements in spoken dialogue models, exemplified by systems like GPT-4o, have captured significant attention in the speech domain. Compared to traditional three-tier cascaded spoken dialogue models that comprise speech recognition (ASR), large language models (LLMs), and text-to-speech (TTS), modern spoken dialogue models exhibit greater intelligence. These advanced spoken dialogue models not only comprehend audio, music, and other speech-related features, but also capture stylistic and timbral characteristics in speech. Moreover, they generate high-quality, multi-turn speech responses with low latency, enabling real-time interaction through simultaneous listening and speaking capability. Despite the progress in spoken dialogue systems, there is a lack of comprehensive surveys that systematically organize and analyze these systems and the underlying technologies. To address this, we have first compiled existing spoken dialogue systems in the chronological order and categorized them into the cascaded and end-to-end paradigms. We then provide an in-depth overview of the core technologies in spoken dialogue models, covering aspects such as speech representation, training paradigm, streaming, duplex, and interaction capabilities. Each section discusses the limitations of these technologies and outlines considerations for future research. Additionally, we present a thorough review of relevant datasets, evaluation metrics, and benchmarks from the perspectives of training and evaluating spoken dialogue systems. We hope this survey will contribute to advancing both academic research and industrial applications in the field of spoken dialogue systems. A Progressive Training Strategy for Vision-Language Models to Counteract Spatio-Temporal Hallucinations in Embodied Reasoning

Vision-Language Models (VLMs) have made significant strides in static image understanding but continue to face critical hurdles in spatiotemporal reasoning. A major bottleneck is "multi-image reasoning hallucination", where a massive performance drop between forward and reverse temporal queries reveals a dependence on superficial shortcuts instead of genuine causal understanding. To mitigate this, we first develop a new Chain-of-Thought (CoT) dataset that decomposes intricate reasoning into detailed spatiotemporal steps and definitive judgments. Building on this, we present a progressive training framework: it initiates with supervised pre-training on our CoT dataset to instill logical structures, followed by fine-tuning with scalable weakly-labeled data for broader generalization. Our experiments demonstrate that this approach not only improves backbone accuracy but also slashes the forward-backward performance gap from over 70\% to only 6.53\%. This confirms the method's ability to develop authentic dynamic reasoning and reduce the inherent temporal biases of current VLMs.

EyecareGPT: Boosting Comprehensive Ophthalmology Understanding with Tailored Dataset, Benchmark and Model

Medical Large Vision-Language Models (Med-LVLMs) demonstrate significant potential in healthcare, but their reliance on general medical data and coarse-grained global visual understanding limits them in intelligent ophthalmic diagnosis. Currently, intelligent ophthalmic diagnosis faces three major challenges: (i) Data. The lack of deeply annotated, high-quality, multi-modal ophthalmic visual instruction data; (ii) Benchmark. The absence of a comprehensive and systematic benchmark for evaluating diagnostic performance; (iii) Model. The difficulty of adapting holistic visual architectures to fine-grained, region-specific ophthalmic lesion identification. In this paper, we propose the Eyecare Kit, which systematically tackles the aforementioned three key challenges with the tailored dataset, benchmark and model: First, we construct a multi-agent data engine with real-life ophthalmology data to produce Eyecare-100K, a high-quality ophthalmic visual instruction dataset. Subsequently, we design Eyecare-Bench, a benchmark that comprehensively evaluates the overall performance of LVLMs on intelligent ophthalmic diagnosis tasks across multiple dimensions. Finally, we develop the EyecareGPT, optimized for fine-grained ophthalmic visual understanding thoroughly, which incorporates an adaptive resolution mechanism and a layer-wise dense connector. Extensive experimental results indicate that the EyecareGPT achieves state-of-the-art performance in a range of ophthalmic tasks, underscoring its significant potential for the advancement of open research in intelligent ophthalmic diagnosis. SpatialReward: Verifiable Spatial Reward Modeling for Fine-Grained Spatial Consistency in Text-to-Image Generation

Recent advances in text-to-image (T2I) generation via reinforcement learning (RL) have benefited from reward models that assess semantic alignment and visual quality. However, most existing reward models pay limited attention to fine-grained spatial relationships, often producing images that appear plausible overall yet contain inaccuracies in object positioning. In this work, we present \textbf{SpatialReward}, a verifiable reward model explicitly designed to evaluate spatial layouts in generated images. SpatialReward adopts a multi-stage pipeline: a \emph{Prompt Decomposer} extracts entities, attributes, and spatial metadata from free-form prompts; expert detectors provide accurate visual grounding of object positions and attributes; and a vision-language model applies chain-of-thought reasoning over grounded observations to assess complex spatial relations that are challenging for rule-based methods. To more comprehensively evaluate spatial relationships in generated images, we introduce \textbf{SpatRelBench}, a benchmark covering object attributes, orientation, inter-object relations, and rendered text placement. Experiments on Stable Diffusion and FLUX show that incorporating SpatialReward into RL training consistently improves spatial consistency and overall generation quality, with results aligned more closely to human judgments. These findings indicate that verifiable reward models hold considerable potential for enabling more accurate and controllable optimization in text-to-image generation models.

Diff-Prompt: Diffusion-Driven Prompt Generator with Mask Supervision

Prompt learning has demonstrated promising results in fine-tuning pre-trained multimodal models. However, the performance improvement is limited when applied to more complex and fine-grained tasks. The reason is that most existing methods directly optimize the parameters involved in the prompt generation process through loss backpropagation, which constrains the richness and specificity of the prompt representations. In this paper, we propose Diffusion-Driven Prompt Generator (Diff-Prompt), aiming to use the diffusion model to generate rich and fine-grained prompt information for complex downstream tasks. Specifically, our approach consists of three stages. In the first stage, we train a Mask-VAE to compress the masks into latent space. In the second stage, we leverage an improved Diffusion Transformer (DiT) to train a prompt generator in the latent space, using the masks for supervision. In the third stage, we align the denoising process of the prompt generator with the pre-trained model in the semantic space, and use the generated prompts to fine-tune the model. We conduct experiments on a complex pixel-level downstream task, referring expression comprehension, and compare our method with various parameter-efficient fine-tuning approaches. Diff-Prompt achieves a maximum improvement of 8.87 in R@1 and 14.05 in R@5 compared to the foundation model and also outperforms other state-of-the-art methods across multiple metrics. The experimental results validate the effectiveness of our approach and highlight the potential of using generative models for prompt generation. One-to-All Animation: Alignment-Free Character Animation and Image Pose Transfer

Recent advances in diffusion models have greatly improved pose-driven character animation. However, existing methods are limited to spatially aligned reference-pose pairs with matched skeletal structures. Handling reference-pose misalignment remains unsolved. To address this, we present One-to-All Animation, a unified framework for high-fidelity character animation and image pose transfer for references with arbitrary layouts. First, to handle spatially misaligned reference, we reformulate training as a self-supervised outpainting task that transforms diverse-layout reference into a unified occluded-input format. Second, to process partially visible reference, we design a reference extractor for comprehensive identity feature extraction. Further, we integrate hybrid reference fusion attention to handle varying resolutions and dynamic sequence lengths. Finally, from the perspective of generation quality, we introduce identity-robust pose control that decouples appearance from skeletal structure to mitigate pose overfitting, and a token replace strategy for coherent long-video generation. TMD-Bench: A Multi-Level Evaluation Paradigm for Music-Dance Co-Generation

Unified audio-visual generation is rapidly gaining industrial and creative relevance, enabling applications in virtual production and interactive media. However, when moving from general audio-video synthesis to music-dance co-generation, the task becomes substantially harder: musical rhythm, phrasing, and accents must drive choreographic motion at fine temporal resolution, and such rhythmic coupling is not captured by unimodal metrics or generic audiovisual consistency scores used in current evaluation practice. We introduce TMD-Bench, a benchmark for text-driven music-dance co-generation that assesses systems across unimodal generation quality, instruction adherence, and cross-modal rhythmic alignment. The benchmark integrates computable physical metrics with perceptual multimodal judgments, and is supported by a curated rhythm-aligned music-dance dataset and a fine-grained Music Captioner for structured music semantics. TMD-Bench further reveals that (i) modern commercial audio-visual models, such as Veo 3 and Sora 2, produce high-quality music and video, while rhythmic coupling remains less consistently optimized and leaves room for improvement, and (ii) our unified baseline RhyJAM trained on rhythm-aligned data achieves competitive beat-level synchronization while maintaining competitive unimodal fidelity. This presents prospects for building next-generation music-dance models that explicitly optimize rhythmic and kinetic coherence.

MegaTTS 3: Sparse Alignment Enhanced Latent Diffusion Transformer for Zero-Shot Speech Synthesis

While recent zero-shot text-to-speech (TTS) models have significantly improved speech quality and expressiveness, mainstream systems still suffer from issues related to speech-text alignment modeling: 1) models without explicit speech-text alignment modeling exhibit less robustness, especially for hard sentences in practical applications; 2) predefined alignment-based models suffer from naturalness constraints of forced alignments. This paper introduces \textit{MegaTTS 3}, a TTS system featuring an innovative sparse alignment algorithm that guides the latent diffusion transformer (DiT). Specifically, we provide sparse alignment boundaries to MegaTTS 3 to reduce the difficulty of alignment without limiting the search space, thereby achieving high naturalness. Moreover, we employ a multi-condition classifier-free guidance strategy for accent intensity adjustment and adopt the piecewise rectified flow technique to accelerate the generation process. Experiments demonstrate that MegaTTS 3 achieves state-of-the-art zero-shot TTS speech quality and supports highly flexible control over accent intensity. EAGER-LLM: Enhancing Large Language Models as Recommenders through Exogenous Behavior-Semantic Integration

Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly leveraged as foundational backbones in the development of advanced recommender systems, offering enhanced capabilities through their extensive knowledge and reasoning. Existing llm-based recommender systems (RSs) often face challenges due to the significant differences between the linguistic semantics of pre-trained LLMs and the collaborative semantics essential for RSs. These systems use pre-trained linguistic semantics but learn collaborative semantics from scratch via the llm-Backbone. However, LLMs are not designed for recommendations, leading to inefficient collaborative learning, weak result correlations, and poor integration of traditional RS features. To address these challenges, we propose EAGER-LLM, a decoder-only llm-based generative recommendation framework that integrates endogenous and exogenous behavioral and semantic information in a non-intrusive manner. Specifically, we propose 1)dual-source knowledge-rich item indices that integrates indexing sequences for exogenous signals, enabling efficient link-wide processing; 2)non-invasive multiscale alignment reconstruction tasks guide the model toward a deeper understanding of both collaborative and semantic signals; 3)an annealing adapter designed to finely balance the model's recommendation performance with its comprehension capabilities. We demonstrate EAGER-LLM's effectiveness through rigorous testing on three public benchmarks.

CronusVLA: Towards Efficient and Robust Manipulation via Multi-Frame Vision-Language-Action Modeling

Recent vision-language-action (VLA) models built on pretrained vision-language models (VLMs) have demonstrated strong performance in robotic manipulation. However, these models remain constrained by the single-frame image paradigm and fail to fully leverage the temporal information offered by multi-frame histories, as directly feeding multiple frames into VLM backbones incurs substantial computational overhead and inference latency. We propose CronusVLA, a unified framework that extends single-frame VLA models to the multi-frame paradigm. CronusVLA follows a two-stage process: (1) Single-frame pretraining on large-scale embodied datasets with autoregressive prediction of action tokens, establishing an effective embodied vision-language foundation; (2) Multi-frame post-training, which adapts the prediction of the vision-language backbone from discrete tokens to learnable features, and aggregates historical information via feature chunking. CronusVLA effectively addresses the existing challenges of multi-frame modeling while enhancing performance and observational robustness. To evaluate the robustness under temporal and spatial disturbances, we introduce SimplerEnv-OR, a novel benchmark featuring 24 types of observational disturbances and 120 severity levels. Experiments across three embodiments in simulated and real-world environments demonstrate that CronusVLA achieves leading performance and superior robustness, with a 70.9% success rate on SimplerEnv, a 26.8% improvement over OpenVLA on LIBERO, and the highest robustness score on SimplerEnv-OR. These results highlight the potential of efficient multi-frame adaptation in VLA models for more powerful and robust real-world deployment.

OmniChat: Enhancing Spoken Dialogue Systems with Scalable Synthetic Data for Diverse Scenarios

With the rapid development of large language models, researchers have created increasingly advanced spoken dialogue systems that can naturally converse with humans. However, these systems still struggle to handle the full complexity of real-world conversations, including audio events, musical contexts, and emotional expressions, mainly because current dialogue datasets are constrained in both scale and scenario diversity. In this paper, we propose leveraging synthetic data to enhance the dialogue models across diverse scenarios. We introduce ShareChatX, the first comprehensive, large-scale dataset for spoken dialogue that spans diverse scenarios. Based on this dataset, we introduce OmniChat, a multi-turn dialogue system with a heterogeneous feature fusion module, designed to optimize feature selection in different dialogue contexts. In addition, we explored critical aspects of training dialogue systems using synthetic data. Through comprehensive experimentation, we determined the ideal balance between synthetic and real data, achieving state-of-the-art results on the real-world dialogue dataset DailyTalk. We also highlight the crucial importance of synthetic data in tackling diverse, complex dialogue scenarios, especially those involving audio and music. ImVideoEdit: Image-learning Video Editing via 2D Spatial Difference Attention Blocks

Current video editing models often rely on expensive paired video data, which limits their practical scalability. In essence, most video editing tasks can be formulated as a decoupled spatiotemporal process, where the temporal dynamics of the pretrained model are preserved while spatial content is selectively and precisely modified. Based on this insight, we propose ImVideoEdit, an efficient framework that learns video editing capabilities entirely from image pairs. By freezing the pre-trained 3D attention modules and treating images as single-frame videos, we decouple the 2D spatial learning process to help preserve the original temporal dynamics. The core of our approach is a Predict-Update Spatial Difference Attention module that progressively extracts and injects spatial differences. Rather than relying on rigid external masks, we incorporate a Text-Guided Dynamic Semantic Gating mechanism for adaptive and implicit text-driven modifications. Despite training on only 13K image pairs for 5 epochs with exceptionally low computational overhead, ImVideoEdit achieves editing fidelity and temporal consistency comparable to larger models trained on extensive video datasets.

OmniCam: Unified Multimodal Video Generation via Camera Control

Camera control, which achieves diverse visual effects by changing camera position and pose, has attracted widespread attention. However, existing methods face challenges such as complex interaction and limited control capabilities. To address these issues, we present OmniCam, a unified multimodal camera control framework. Leveraging large language models and video diffusion models, OmniCam generates spatio-temporally consistent videos. It supports various combinations of input modalities: the user can provide text or video with expected trajectory as camera path guidance, and image or video as content reference, enabling precise control over camera motion. To facilitate the training of OmniCam, we introduce the OmniTr dataset, which contains a large collection of high-quality long-sequence trajectories, videos, and corresponding descriptions. Experimental results demonstrate that our model achieves state-of-the-art performance in high-quality camera-controlled video generation across various metrics.

Astrea: A MOE-based Visual Understanding Model with Progressive Alignment

Vision-Language Models (VLMs) based on Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architectures have emerged as a pivotal paradigm in multimodal understanding, offering a powerful framework for integrating visual and linguistic information. However, the increasing complexity and diversity of tasks present significant challenges in coordinating load balancing across heterogeneous visual experts, where optimizing one specialist's performance often compromises others' capabilities. To address task heterogeneity and expert load imbalance, we propose Astrea, a novel multi-expert collaborative VLM architecture based on progressive pre-alignment. Astrea introduces three key innovations: 1) A heterogeneous expert coordination mechanism that integrates four specialized models (detection, segmentation, classification, captioning) into a comprehensive expert matrix covering essential visual comprehension elements; 2) A dynamic knowledge fusion strategy featuring progressive pre-alignment to harmonize experts within the VLM latent space through contrastive learning, complemented by probabilistically activated stochastic residual connections to preserve knowledge continuity; 3) An enhanced optimization framework utilizing momentum contrastive learning for long-range dependency modeling and adaptive weight allocators for real-time expert contribution calibration. Extensive evaluations across 12 benchmark tasks spanning VQA, image captioning, and cross-modal retrieval demonstrate Astrea's superiority over state-of-the-art models, achieving an average performance gain of +4.7\%. This study provides the first empirical demonstration that progressive pre-alignment strategies enable VLMs to overcome task heterogeneity limitations, establishing new methodological foundations for developing general-purpose multimodal agents.

VividAnimator: An End-to-End Audio and Pose-driven Half-Body Human Animation Framework

Existing for audio- and pose-driven human animation methods often struggle with stiff head movements and blurry hands, primarily due to the weak correlation between audio and head movements and the structural complexity of hands. To address these issues, we propose VividAnimator, an end-to-end framework for generating high-quality, half-body human animations driven by audio and sparse hand pose conditions. Our framework introduces three key innovations. First, to overcome the instability and high cost of online codebook training, we pre-train a Hand Clarity Codebook (HCC) that encodes rich, high-fidelity hand texture priors, significantly mitigating hand degradation. Second, we design a Dual-Stream Audio-Aware Module (DSAA) to model lip synchronization and natural head pose dynamics separately while enabling interaction. Third, we introduce a Pose Calibration Trick (PCT) that refines and aligns pose conditions by relaxing rigid constraints, ensuring smooth and natural gesture transitions. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Vivid Animator achieves state-of-the-art performance, producing videos with superior hand detail, gesture realism, and identity consistency, validated by both quantitative metrics and qualitative evaluations.
