From Skills to Talent: Organising Heterogeneous Agents as a Real-World Company

Individual agent capabilities have advanced rapidly through modular skills and tool integrations, yet multi-agent systems remain constrained by fixed team structures, tightly coupled coordination logic, and session-bound learning. We argue that this reflects a deeper absence: a principled organisational layer that governs how a workforce of agents is assembled, governed, and improved over time, decoupled from what individual agents know. To fill this gap, we introduce \emph{OneManCompany (OMC)}, a framework that elevates multi-agent systems to the organisational level. OMC encapsulates skills, tools, and runtime configurations into portable agent identities called \emph{Talents}, orchestrated through typed organisational interfaces that abstract over heterogeneous backends. A community-driven \emph{Talent Market} enables on-demand recruitment, allowing the organisation to close capability gaps and reconfigure itself dynamically during execution. Organisational decision-making is operationalised through an \emph{Explore-Execute-Review} ($\text{E}^2$R) tree search, which unifies planning, execution, and evaluation in a single hierarchical loop: tasks are decomposed top-down into accountable units and execution outcomes are aggregated bottom-up to drive systematic review and refinement. This loop provides formal guarantees on termination and deadlock freedom while mirroring the feedback mechanisms of human enterprises. Together, these contributions transform multi-agent systems from static, pre-configured pipelines into self-organising and self-improving AI organisations capable of adapting to open-ended tasks across diverse domains. Empirical evaluation on PRDBench shows that OMC achieves an $84.67\%$ success rate, surpassing the state of the art by $15.48$ percentage points, with cross-domain case studies further demonstrating its generality.

TokenSqueeze: Performance-Preserving Compression for Reasoning LLMs

Emerging reasoning LLMs such as OpenAI-o1 and DeepSeek-R1 have achieved strong performance on complex reasoning tasks by generating long chain-of-thought (CoT) traces. However, these long CoTs result in increased token usage, leading to higher inference latency and memory consumption. As a result, balancing accuracy and reasoning efficiency has become essential for deploying reasoning LLMs in practical applications. Existing long-to-short (Long2Short) methods aim to reduce inference length but often sacrifice accuracy, revealing a need for an approach that maintains performance while lowering token costs. To address this efficiency-accuracy tradeoff, we propose TokenSqueeze, a novel Long2Short method that condenses reasoning paths while preserving performance and relying exclusively on self-generated data. First, to prevent performance degradation caused by excessive compression of reasoning depth, we propose to select self-generated samples whose reasoning depth is adaptively matched to the complexity of the problem. To further optimize the linguistic expression without altering the underlying reasoning paths, we introduce a distribution-aligned linguistic refinement method that enhances the clarity and conciseness of the reasoning path while preserving its logical integrity. Comprehensive experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of TokenSqueeze in reducing token usage while maintaining accuracy. Notably, DeepSeek-R1-Distill-Qwen-7B fine-tuned using our proposed method achieved a 50\% average token reduction while preserving accuracy on the MATH500 benchmark. TokenSqueeze exclusively utilizes the model's self-generated data, enabling efficient and high-fidelity reasoning without relying on manually curated short-answer datasets across diverse applications. Lidar Point Cloud Guided Monocular 3D Object Detection

Monocular 3D object detection is a challenging task in the self-driving and computer vision community. As a common practice, most previous works use manually annotated 3D box labels, where the annotating process is expensive. In this paper, we find that the precisely and carefully annotated labels may be unnecessary in monocular 3D detection, which is an interesting and counterintuitive finding. Using rough labels that are randomly disturbed, the detector can achieve very close accuracy compared to the one using the ground-truth labels. We delve into this underlying mechanism and then empirically find that: concerning the label accuracy, the 3D location part in the label is preferred compared to other parts of labels. Motivated by the conclusions above and considering the precise LiDAR 3D measurement, we propose a simple and effective framework, dubbed LiDAR point cloud guided monocular 3D object detection (LPCG). This framework is capable of either reducing the annotation costs or considerably boosting the detection accuracy without introducing extra annotation costs. Specifically, It generates pseudo labels from unlabeled LiDAR point clouds. Thanks to accurate LiDAR 3D measurements in 3D space, such pseudo labels can replace manually annotated labels in the training of monocular 3D detectors, since their 3D location information is precise. LPCG can be applied into any monocular 3D detector to fully use massive unlabeled data in a self-driving system. As a result, in KITTI benchmark, we take the first place on both monocular 3D and BEV (bird's-eye-view) detection with a significant margin. In Waymo benchmark, our method using 10% labeled data achieves comparable accuracy to the baseline detector using 100% labeled data. The codes are released at https://github.com/SPengLiang/LPCG.

Progressive Transfer Learning

Model fine-tuning is a widely used transfer learning approach in person Re-identification (ReID) applications, which fine-tuning a pre-trained feature extraction model into the target scenario instead of training a model from scratch. It is challenging due to the significant variations inside the target scenario, e.g., different camera viewpoint, illumination changes, and occlusion. These variations result in a gap between the distribution of each mini-batch and the whole dataset's distribution when using mini-batch training. In this paper, we study model fine-tuning from the perspective of the aggregation and utilization of the global information of the dataset when using mini-batch training. Specifically, we introduce a novel network structure called Batch-related Convolutional Cell (BConv-Cell), which progressively collects the global information of the dataset into a latent state and uses it to rectify the extracted feature. Based on BConv-Cells, we further proposed the Progressive Transfer Learning (PTL) method to facilitate the model fine-tuning process by jointly optimizing the BConv-Cells and the pre-trained ReID model. Empirical experiments show that our proposal can improve the performance of the ReID model greatly on MSMT17, Market-1501, CUHK03 and DukeMTMC-reID datasets. Moreover, we extend our proposal to the general image classification task. The experiments in several image classification benchmark datasets demonstrate that our proposal can significantly improve the performance of baseline models. Apparel-invariant Feature Learning for Apparel-changed Person Re-identification

With the rise of deep learning methods, person Re-Identification (ReID) performance has been improved tremendously in many public datasets. However, most public ReID datasets are collected in a short time window in which persons' appearance rarely changes. In real-world applications such as in a shopping mall, the same person's clothing may change, and different persons may wearing similar clothes. All these cases can result in an inconsistent ReID performance, revealing a critical problem that current ReID models heavily rely on person's apparels. Therefore, it is critical to learn an apparel-invariant person representation under cases like cloth changing or several persons wearing similar clothes. In this work, we tackle this problem from the viewpoint of invariant feature representation learning. The main contributions of this work are as follows. (1) We propose the semi-supervised Apparel-invariant Feature Learning (AIFL) framework to learn an apparel-invariant pedestrian representation using images of the same person wearing different clothes. (2) To obtain images of the same person wearing different clothes, we propose an unsupervised apparel-simulation GAN (AS-GAN) to synthesize cloth changing images according to the target cloth embedding. It's worth noting that the images used in ReID tasks were cropped from real-world low-quality CCTV videos, making it more challenging to synthesize cloth changing images. We conduct extensive experiments on several datasets comparing with several baselines. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposal can improve the ReID performance of the baseline models.

Out-of-distribution Generalization via Partial Feature Decorrelation

Most deep-learning-based image classification methods assume that all samples are generated under an independent and identically distributed (IID) setting. However, out-of-distribution (OOD) generalization is more common in practice, which means an agnostic context distribution shift between training and testing environments. To address this problem, we present a novel Partial Feature Decorrelation Learning (PFDL) algorithm, which jointly optimizes a feature decomposition network and the target image classification model. The feature decomposition network decomposes feature embeddings into the independent and the correlated parts such that the correlations between features will be highlighted. Then, the correlated features help learn a stable feature representation by decorrelating the highlighted correlations while optimizing the image classification model. We verify the correlation modeling ability of the feature decomposition network on a synthetic dataset. The experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate that our method can improve the backbone model's accuracy on OOD image classification datasets.

PI-RCNN: An Efficient Multi-sensor 3D Object Detector with Point-based Attentive Cont-conv Fusion Module

LIDAR point clouds and RGB-images are both extremely essential for 3D object detection. So many state-of-the-art 3D detection algorithms dedicate in fusing these two types of data effectively. However, their fusion methods based on Birds Eye View (BEV) or voxel format are not accurate. In this paper, we propose a novel fusion approach named Point-based Attentive Cont-conv Fusion(PACF) module, which fuses multi-sensor features directly on 3D points. Except for continuous convolution, we additionally add a Point-Pooling and an Attentive Aggregation to make the fused features more expressive. Moreover, based on the PACF module, we propose a 3D multi-sensor multi-task network called Pointcloud-Image RCNN(PI-RCNN as brief), which handles the image segmentation and 3D object detection tasks. PI-RCNN employs a segmentation sub-network to extract full-resolution semantic feature maps from images and then fuses the multi-sensor features via powerful PACF module. Beneficial from the effectiveness of the PACF module and the expressive semantic features from the segmentation module, PI-RCNN can improve much in 3D object detection. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the PACF module and PI-RCNN on the KITTI 3D Detection benchmark, and our method can achieve state-of-the-art on the metric of 3D AP.
