LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601 Technical Report

We introduce LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601, a 560-billion-parameter open-source Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) reasoning model with superior agentic reasoning capability. LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601 achieves state-of-the-art performance among open-source models on a wide range of agentic benchmarks, including agentic search, agentic tool use, and tool-integrated reasoning. Beyond benchmark performance, the model demonstrates strong generalization to complex tool interactions and robust behavior under noisy real-world environments. Its advanced capability stems from a unified training framework that combines domain-parallel expert training with subsequent fusion, together with an end-to-end co-design of data construction, environments, algorithms, and infrastructure spanning from pre-training to post-training. In particular, the model's strong generalization capability in complex tool-use are driven by our in-depth exploration of environment scaling and principled task construction. To optimize long-tailed, skewed generation and multi-turn agentic interactions, and to enable stable training across over 10,000 environments spanning more than 20 domains, we systematically extend our asynchronous reinforcement learning framework, DORA, for stable and efficient large-scale multi-environment training. Furthermore, recognizing that real-world tasks are inherently noisy, we conduct a systematic analysis and decomposition of real-world noise patterns, and design targeted training procedures to explicitly incorporate such imperfections into the training process, resulting in improved robustness for real-world applications. To further enhance performance on complex reasoning tasks, we introduce a Heavy Thinking mode that enables effective test-time scaling by jointly expanding reasoning depth and width through intensive parallel thinking.

Improving LLM-Based Go Code Review through Issue-List Generation and Context Augmentation

LLMs have shown strong potential for automating code review, yet their practical utility depends heavily on the design of generation and context strategies. In this paper, we investigate how to improve LLM-based code review through generation strategy and contextual augmentation. We first propose an issue-list review paradigm, in which LLMs enumerate all potential issues rather than reporting only the single most important one (i.e., primary-issue review). We then systematically compare three types of code context augmentation -- neighboring, LSP-based semantics, and IR-based similar co-change context -- and study how they influence issue discovery. Finally, we integrate candidates from no-context and context-enhanced generation to improve review coverage, and introduce refinement-guided pruning to keep the candidate list at a practical size. We evaluate our approach on 1,438 Go review instances using downstream code refinement as the main metric, i.e., how often the candidate list contains at least one comment inducing the same code change as the final human revision. For comparison, we evaluate comments by CodeReviewer, a model trained specifically for review comment generation, as well as ground-truth human review comments (as a practical upper bound), under the same refinement-based evaluation. The results show that our best configuration, combining issue-list review, neighboring and similar co-change context, and candidate integration, reaches 28.00% refinement exact match, a statistically significant gain of +10.85 percentage points over primary-issue review without any additional context (17.15%), substantially outperforming CodeReviewer (15.02%) and approaching the human-oracle ceiling of 36.09%. Our refinement-guided pruning reduces the average candidate count from 7.2 to 3.1 at top-5 while retaining nearly the full benefit, making the candidate list easier to inspect.

SEDGE: Structural Extrapolated Data Generation

This paper proposes a framework for Structural Extrapolated Data GEneration (SEDGE) based on suitable assumptions on the underlying data generating process. We provide conditions under which data satisfying new specifications can be generated reliably, together with the approximate identifiability of the distribution of such data under certain ``conservative" assumptions. On the algorithmic side, we develop practical methods to achieve extrapolated data generation, based on the structure-informed optimization strategy or diffusion posterior sampling, respectively. We verify the extrapolation performance on synthetic data and also consider extrapolated image generation as a real-world scenario to illustrate the validity of the proposed framework.

D2Match: Leveraging Deep Learning and Degeneracy for Subgraph Matching

Subgraph matching is a fundamental building block for graph-based applications and is challenging due to its high-order combinatorial nature. Existing studies usually tackle it by combinatorial optimization or learning-based methods. However, they suffer from exponential computational costs or searching the matching without theoretical guarantees. In this paper, we develop D2Match by leveraging the efficiency of Deep learning and Degeneracy for subgraph matching. More specifically, we first prove that subgraph matching can degenerate to subtree matching, and subsequently is equivalent to finding a perfect matching on a bipartite graph. We can then yield an implementation of linear time complexity by the built-in tree-structured aggregation mechanism on graph neural networks. Moreover, circle structures and node attributes can be easily incorporated in D2Match to boost the matching performance. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments to show the superior performance of our D2Match and confirm that our D2Match indeed exploits the subtrees and differs from existing GNNs-based subgraph matching methods that depend on memorizing the data distribution divergence

Improving Your Graph Neural Networks: A High-Frequency Booster

Graph neural networks (GNNs) hold the promise of learning efficient representations of graph-structured data, and one of its most important applications is semi-supervised node classification. However, in this application, GNN frameworks tend to fail due to the following issues: over-smoothing and heterophily. The most popular GNNs are known to be focused on the message-passing framework, and recent research shows that these GNNs are often bounded by low-pass filters from a signal processing perspective. We thus incorporate high-frequency information into GNNs to alleviate this genetic problem. In this paper, we argue that the complement of the original graph incorporates a high-pass filter and propose Complement Laplacian Regularization (CLAR) for an efficient enhancement of high-frequency components. The experimental results demonstrate that CLAR helps GNNs tackle over-smoothing, improving the expressiveness of heterophilic graphs, which adds up to 3.6% improvement over popular baselines and ensures topological robustness.

Prior Bilinear Based Models for Knowledge Graph Completion

Bilinear based models are powerful and widely used approaches for Knowledge Graphs Completion (KGC). Although bilinear based models have achieved significant advances, these studies mainly concentrate on posterior properties (based on evidence, e.g. symmetry pattern) while neglecting the prior properties. In this paper, we find a prior property named "the law of identity" that cannot be captured by bilinear based models, which hinders them from comprehensively modeling the characteristics of KGs. To address this issue, we introduce a solution called Unit Ball Bilinear Model (UniBi). This model not only achieves theoretical superiority but also offers enhanced interpretability and performance by minimizing ineffective learning through minimal constraints. Experiments demonstrate that UniBi models the prior property and verify its interpretability and performance.

Practical Marketplace Optimization at Uber Using Causally-Informed Machine Learning

Budget allocation of marketplace levers, such as incentives for drivers and promotions for riders, has long been a technical and business challenge at Uber; understanding lever budget changes' impact and estimating cost efficiency to achieve predefined budgets is crucial, with the goal of optimal allocations that maximize business value; we introduce an end-to-end machine learning and optimization procedure to automate budget decision-making for cities, relying on feature store, model training and serving, optimizers, and backtesting; proposing state-of-the-art deep learning (DL) estimator based on S-Learner and a novel tensor B-Spline regression model, we solve high-dimensional optimization with ADMM and primal-dual interior point convex optimization, substantially improving Uber's resource allocation efficiency.

DarkDriving: A Real-World Day and Night Aligned Dataset for Autonomous Driving in the Dark Environment

The low-light conditions are challenging to the vision-centric perception systems for autonomous driving in the dark environment. In this paper, we propose a new benchmark dataset (named DarkDriving) to investigate the low-light enhancement for autonomous driving. The existing real-world low-light enhancement benchmark datasets can be collected by controlling various exposures only in small-ranges and static scenes. The dark images of the current nighttime driving datasets do not have the precisely aligned daytime counterparts. The extreme difficulty to collect a real-world day and night aligned dataset in the dynamic driving scenes significantly limited the research in this area. With a proposed automatic day-night Trajectory Tracking based Pose Matching (TTPM) method in a large real-world closed driving test field (area: 69 acres), we collected the first real-world day and night aligned dataset for autonomous driving in the dark environment. The DarkDriving dataset has 9,538 day and night image pairs precisely aligned in location and spatial contents, whose alignment error is in just several centimeters. For each pair, we also manually label the object 2D bounding boxes. DarkDriving introduces four perception related tasks, including low-light enhancement, generalized low-light enhancement, and low-light enhancement for 2D detection and 3D detection of autonomous driving in the dark environment. The experimental results show that our DarkDriving dataset provides a comprehensive benchmark for evaluating low-light enhancement for autonomous driving and it can also be generalized to enhance dark images and promote detection in some other low-light driving environment, such as nuScenes.

EPIC: Abstraction and Polymorphism of In-Network Collectives on Ethernet

In-Network Collective (INC) acceleration holds immense potential for optimizing AI training and inference; however, its cross-layer nature has historically hindered investment and adoption within the open Ethernet ecosystem. To bridge this gap, we propose EPIC (Ethernet Polymorphic In-network Collective), an INC protocol specification and reference system built on the principle of "Unified Abstraction, Polymorphic Realization." EPIC introduces an abstraction compatible with standard Ethernet that aligns functional boundaries with participant roles, while offering polymorphic realizations tailored to varying hardware capabilities. We address three fundamental challenges: first, we employ a modular design that enables an evolutionary path from simple to complex implementations, allowing vendors to iterate their hardware incrementally; second, we apply formal verification methodologies to prove the correctness of all proposed polymorphic modes; and third, we develop a unified resource management model versatile enough for diverse INC scenarios. Extensive validation -- spanning model checking, packet/flow simulations, VM emulation, Tofino Testbed, and FPGA/RTL verification -- confirms EPIC's correctness, performance gain, and feasibility.

LongCat-Flash Technical Report

We introduce LongCat-Flash, a 560-billion-parameter Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) language model designed for both computational efficiency and advanced agentic capabilities. Stemming from the need for scalable efficiency, LongCat-Flash adopts two novel designs: (a) Zero-computation Experts, which enables dynamic computational budget allocation and activates 18.6B-31.3B (27B on average) per token depending on contextual demands, optimizing resource usage. (b) Shortcut-connected MoE, which enlarges the computation-communication overlap window, demonstrating notable gains in inference efficiency and throughput compared to models of a comparable scale. We develop a comprehensive scaling framework for large models that combines hyperparameter transfer, model-growth initialization, a multi-pronged stability suite, and deterministic computation to achieve stable and reproducible training. Notably, leveraging the synergy among scalable architectural design and infrastructure efforts, we complete model training on more than 20 trillion tokens within 30 days, while achieving over 100 tokens per second (TPS) for inference at a cost of \$0.70 per million output tokens. To cultivate LongCat-Flash towards agentic intelligence, we conduct a large-scale pre-training on optimized mixtures, followed by targeted mid- and post-training on reasoning, code, and instructions, with further augmentation from synthetic data and tool use tasks. Comprehensive evaluations demonstrate that, as a non-thinking foundation model, LongCat-Flash delivers highly competitive performance among other leading models, with exceptional strengths in agentic tasks. MoRe: Modular Representations for Principled Continual Representation Learning on Squantial Data

Continual learning requires models to adapt to new data while preserving previously acquired knowledge. At its core, this challenge can be viewed as principled one-step adaptation: incorporating new information with minimal interference to existing representations. Most existing approaches address this challenge by modifying model parameters or architectures in a supervised, task-specific manner. However, the underlying issue is representational: tasks require distinct yet structured representations that can be selectively updated without disrupting representations, while structure should reflect intrinsic organization in the data rather than task boundaries. In sequential data, time-delayed dependencies provide a natural signal for uncovering this organization, revealing how fundamental representations give rise to more specific ones. Inspired by the modular organization of the human brain, we propose MoRe, a framework that identifies modularity in the representation itself rather than allocating it at the architectural level. MoRe decomposes knowledge into a hierarchy of fundamental and specific modules with identifiability guarantees, enabling principled module reuse, alignment, and expansion during adaptation while preserving old modules by construction. Experiments on synthetic benchmarks and real-world LLM activations demonstrate interpretable hierarchical structure, improved plasticity-stability trade-offs, suggesting MoRe as a principled foundation for continual adaptation

Scaling Embeddings Outperforms Scaling Experts in Language Models

While Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architectures have become the standard for sparsity scaling in large language models, they increasingly face diminishing returns and system-level bottlenecks. In this work, we explore embedding scaling as a potent, orthogonal dimension for scaling sparsity. Through a comprehensive analysis and experiments, we identify specific regimes where embedding scaling achieves a superior Pareto frontier compared to expert scaling. We systematically characterize the critical architectural factors governing this efficacy -- ranging from parameter budgeting to the interplay with model width and depth. Moreover, by integrating tailored system optimizations and speculative decoding, we effectively convert this sparsity into tangible inference speedups. Guided by these insights, we introduce LongCat-Flash-Lite, a 68.5B parameter model with ~3B activated trained from scratch. Despite allocating over 30B parameters to embeddings, LongCat-Flash-Lite not only surpasses parameter-equivalent MoE baselines but also exhibits exceptional competitiveness against existing models of comparable scale, particularly in agentic and coding domains.

Introducing LongCat-Flash-Thinking: A Technical Report

We present LongCat-Flash-Thinking, an efficient 560-billion-parameter open-source Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) reasoning model. Its advanced capabilities are cultivated through a meticulously crafted training process, beginning with long Chain-of-Thought (CoT) data cold-start and culminating in large-scale Reinforcement Learning (RL). We first employ a well-designed cold-start training strategy, which significantly enhances the reasoning potential and equips the model with specialized skills in both formal and agentic reasoning. Then, a core innovation is our domain-parallel training scheme, which decouples optimization across distinct domains (e.g., STEM, Code, Agentic) and subsequently fuses the resulting expert models into a single, nearly Pareto-optimal model. This entire process is powered by our Dynamic ORchestration for Asynchronous rollout (DORA) system, a large-scale RL framework that delivers a greater than threefold training speedup over synchronous methods on tens of thousands of accelerators. As a result, LongCat-Flash-Thinking achieves state-of-the-art performance among open-source models on a suite of complex reasoning tasks. The model exhibits exceptional efficiency in agentic reasoning, reducing average token consumption by 64.5% (from 19, 653 to 6, 965) on AIME-25, without degrading task accuracy. We release LongCat-Flash-Thinking to promote further advances in reasoning systems and agentic AI research.

MuGSI: Distilling GNNs with Multi-Granularity Structural Information for Graph Classification

Recent works have introduced GNN-to-MLP knowledge distillation (KD) frameworks to combine both GNN's superior performance and MLP's fast inference speed. However, existing KD frameworks are primarily designed for node classification within single graphs, leaving their applicability to graph classification largely unexplored. Two main challenges arise when extending KD for node classification to graph classification: (1) The inherent sparsity of learning signals due to soft labels being generated at the graph level; (2) The limited expressiveness of student MLPs, especially in datasets with limited input feature spaces. To overcome these challenges, we introduce MuGSI, a novel KD framework that employs Multi-granularity Structural Information for graph classification. Specifically, we propose multi-granularity distillation loss in MuGSI to tackle the first challenge. This loss function is composed of three distinct components: graph-level distillation, subgraph-level distillation, and node-level distillation. Each component targets a specific granularity of the graph structure, ensuring a comprehensive transfer of structural knowledge from the teacher model to the student model. To tackle the second challenge, MuGSI proposes to incorporate a node feature augmentation component, thereby enhancing the expressiveness of the student MLPs and making them more capable learners. We perform extensive experiments across a variety of datasets and different teacher/student model architectures. LKD-KGC: Domain-Specific KG Construction via LLM-driven Knowledge Dependency Parsing

Knowledge Graphs (KGs) structure real-world entities and their relationships into triples, enhancing machine reasoning for various tasks. While domain-specific KGs offer substantial benefits, their manual construction is often inefficient and requires specialized knowledge. Recent approaches for knowledge graph construction (KGC) based on large language models (LLMs), such as schema-guided KGC and reference knowledge integration, have proven efficient. However, these methods are constrained by their reliance on manually defined schema, single-document processing, and public-domain references, making them less effective for domain-specific corpora that exhibit complex knowledge dependencies and specificity, as well as limited reference knowledge. To address these challenges, we propose LKD-KGC, a novel framework for unsupervised domain-specific KG construction. LKD-KGC autonomously analyzes document repositories to infer knowledge dependencies, determines optimal processing sequences via LLM driven prioritization, and autoregressively generates entity schema by integrating hierarchical inter-document contexts. This schema guides the unsupervised extraction of entities and relationships, eliminating reliance on predefined structures or external knowledge. Extensive experiments show that compared with state-of-the-art baselines, LKD-KGC generally achieves improvements of 10% to 20% in both precision and recall rate, demonstrating its potential in constructing high-quality domain-specific KGs.

Progressive Knowledge Graph Completion

Knowledge Graph Completion (KGC) has emerged as a promising solution to address the issue of incompleteness within Knowledge Graphs (KGs). Traditional KGC research primarily centers on triple classification and link prediction. Nevertheless, we contend that these tasks do not align well with real-world scenarios and merely serve as surrogate benchmarks. In this paper, we investigate three crucial processes relevant to real-world construction scenarios: (a) the verification process, which arises from the necessity and limitations of human verifiers; (b) the mining process, which identifies the most promising candidates for verification; and (c) the training process, which harnesses verified data for subsequent utilization; in order to achieve a transition toward more realistic challenges. By integrating these three processes, we introduce the Progressive Knowledge Graph Completion (PKGC) task, which simulates the gradual completion of KGs in real-world scenarios. Furthermore, to expedite PKGC processing, we propose two acceleration modules: Optimized Top-$k$ algorithm and Semantic Validity Filter. These modules significantly enhance the efficiency of the mining procedure. Our experiments demonstrate that performance in link prediction does not accurately reflect performance in PKGC. A more in-depth analysis reveals the key factors influencing the results and provides potential directions for future research.

Score-based Greedy Search for Structure Identification of Partially Observed Linear Causal Models

Identifying the structure of a partially observed causal system is essential to various scientific fields. Recent advances have focused on constraint-based causal discovery to solve this problem, and yet in practice these methods often face challenges related to multiple testing and error propagation. These issues could be mitigated by a score-based method and thus it has raised great attention whether there exists a score-based greedy search method that can handle the partially observed scenario. In this work, we propose the first score-based greedy search method for the identification of structure involving latent variables with identifiability guarantees. Specifically, we propose Generalized N Factor Model and establish the global consistency: the true structure including latent variables can be identified up to the Markov equivalence class by using score. We then design Latent variable Greedy Equivalence Search (LGES), a greedy search algorithm for this class of model with well-defined operators, which search very efficiently over the graph space to find the optimal structure. Our experiments on both synthetic and real-life data validate the effectiveness of our method (code will be publicly available).

LLM Interpretability with Identifiable Temporal-Instantaneous Representation

Despite Large Language Models' remarkable capabilities, understanding their internal representations remains challenging. Mechanistic interpretability tools such as sparse autoencoders (SAEs) were developed to extract interpretable features from LLMs but lack temporal dependency modeling, instantaneous relation representation, and more importantly theoretical guarantees, undermining both the theoretical foundations and the practical confidence necessary for subsequent analyses. While causal representation learning (CRL) offers theoretically grounded approaches for uncovering latent concepts, existing methods cannot scale to LLMs' rich conceptual space due to inefficient computation. To bridge the gap, we introduce an identifiable temporal causal representation learning framework specifically designed for LLMs' high-dimensional concept space, capturing both time-delayed and instantaneous causal relations. Our approach provides theoretical guarantees and demonstrates efficacy on synthetic datasets scaled to match real-world complexity. By extending SAE techniques with our temporal causal framework, we successfully discover meaningful concept relationships in LLM activations. Our findings show that modeling both temporal and instantaneous conceptual relationships advances the interpretability of LLMs.

Type Information-Assisted Self-Supervised Knowledge Graph Denoising

Knowledge graphs serve as critical resources supporting intelligent systems, but they can be noisy due to imperfect automatic generation processes. Existing approaches to noise detection often rely on external facts, logical rule constraints, or structural embeddings. These methods are often challenged by imperfect entity alignment, flexible knowledge graph construction, and overfitting on structures. In this paper, we propose to exploit the consistency between entity and relation type information for noise detection, resulting a novel self-supervised knowledge graph denoising method that avoids those problems. We formalize type inconsistency noise as triples that deviate from the majority with respect to type-dependent reasoning along the topological structure. Specifically, we first extract a compact representation of a given knowledge graph via an encoder that models the type dependencies of triples. Then, the decoder reconstructs the original input knowledge graph based on the compact representation. It is worth noting that, our proposal has the potential to address the problems of knowledge graph compression and completion, although this is not our focus. For the specific task of noise detection, the discrepancy between the reconstruction results and the input knowledge graph provides an opportunity for denoising, which is facilitated by the type consistency embedded in our method. Experimental validation demonstrates the effectiveness of our approach in detecting potential noise in real-world data.

Do Not Train It: A Linear Neural Architecture Search of Graph Neural Networks

Neural architecture search (NAS) for Graph neural networks (GNNs), called NAS-GNNs, has achieved significant performance over manually designed GNN architectures. However, these methods inherit issues from the conventional NAS methods, such as high computational cost and optimization difficulty. More importantly, previous NAS methods have ignored the uniqueness of GNNs, where GNNs possess expressive power without training. With the randomly-initialized weights, we can then seek the optimal architecture parameters via the sparse coding objective and derive a novel NAS-GNNs method, namely neural architecture coding (NAC). Consequently, our NAC holds a no-update scheme on GNNs and can efficiently compute in linear time. Empirical evaluations on multiple GNN benchmark datasets demonstrate that our approach leads to state-of-the-art performance, which is up to $200\times$ faster and $18.8\%$ more accurate than the strong baselines.

Feature Expansion for Graph Neural Networks

Graph neural networks aim to learn representations for graph-structured data and show impressive performance, particularly in node classification. Recently, many methods have studied the representations of GNNs from the perspective of optimization goals and spectral graph theory. However, the feature space that dominates representation learning has not been systematically studied in graph neural networks. In this paper, we propose to fill this gap by analyzing the feature space of both spatial and spectral models. We decompose graph neural networks into determined feature spaces and trainable weights, providing the convenience of studying the feature space explicitly using matrix space analysis. In particular, we theoretically find that the feature space tends to be linearly correlated due to repeated aggregations. Motivated by these findings, we propose 1) feature subspaces flattening and 2) structural principal components to expand the feature space. Extensive experiments verify the effectiveness of our proposed more comprehensive feature space, with comparable inference time to the baseline, and demonstrate its efficient convergence capability.
