TunerDiT: Training-free Progressive Steering of Diffusion Transformer for Multi-Event Video Generation

Text-to-video (T2V) generation faces challenging questions when generating videos with long horizons containing multiple events. Inspired by the intrinsics of the diffusion process, we probe video diffusion transformers (DiTs) and uncover intrinsic turning points in the DiT denoising trajectory where conditioning text affects generation from global layout to fine-grained details. Building on this finding, we present TunerDiT, a simple yet effective progressive steering method that requires no additional training for multi-event generation. TunerDiT comprises two steering handles: (1) Event-Partitioned Masking that enforces event boundaries while allowing cross-event transition bands; (2) Cross-Event Prompt Fusion that injects neighboring event semantics for late-stage refinement. We contribute a self-curated prompt suite for benchmarking multi-event generation, i.e., Meve. TunerDiT achieves state-of-the-art performance across 8 metrics and offers a tunable trade-off between video consistency and event separation, compared with other training-free methods. The improvement in text alignment increases with the event count, indicating a scaling possibility with increasing event count.

ContactDexNet: Multi-fingered Robotic Hand Grasping in Cluttered Environments through Hand-object Contact Semantic Mapping

The deep learning models has significantly advanced dexterous manipulation techniques for multi-fingered hand grasping. However, the contact information-guided grasping in cluttered environments remains largely underexplored. To address this gap, we have developed a method for generating multi-fingered hand grasp samples in cluttered settings through contact semantic map. We introduce a contact semantic conditional variational autoencoder network (CoSe-CVAE) for creating comprehensive contact semantic map from object point cloud. We utilize grasp detection method to estimate hand grasp poses from the contact semantic map. Finally, an unified grasp evaluation model PointNetGPD++ is designed to assess grasp quality and collision probability, substantially improving the reliability of identifying optimal grasps in cluttered scenarios. Our grasp generation method has demonstrated remarkable success, outperforming state-of-the-art methods by at least 4.65% with 81.0% average grasping success rate in real-world single-object environment and 75.3% grasping success rate in cluttered scenes. We also proposed the multi-modal multi-fingered grasping dataset generation method. Our multi-fingered hand grasping dataset outperforms previous datasets in scene diversity, modality diversity. When and Where do Events Switch in Multi-Event Video Generation?

Text-to-video (T2V) generation has surged in response to challenging questions, especially when a long video must depict multiple sequential events with temporal coherence and controllable content. Existing methods that extend to multi-event generation omit an inspection of the intrinsic factor in event shifting. The paper aims to answer the central question: When and where multi-event prompts control event transition during T2V generation. This work introduces MEve, a self-curated prompt suite for evaluating multi-event text-to-video (T2V) generation, and conducts a systematic study of two representative model families, i.e., OpenSora and CogVideoX. Extensive experiments demonstrate the importance of early intervention in denoising steps and block-wise model layers, revealing the essential factor for multi-event video generation and highlighting the possibilities for multi-event conditioning in future models.
