Seedance 2.0: Advancing Video Generation for World Complexity

Seedance 2.0 is a new native multi-modal audio-video generation model, officially released in China in early February 2026. Compared with its predecessors, Seedance 1.0 and 1.5 Pro, Seedance 2.0 adopts a unified, highly efficient, and large-scale architecture for multi-modal audio-video joint generation. This allows it to support four input modalities: text, image, audio, and video, by integrating one of the most comprehensive suites of multi-modal content reference and editing capabilities available in the industry to date. It delivers substantial, well-rounded improvements across all key sub-dimensions of video and audio generation. In both expert evaluations and public user tests, the model has demonstrated performance on par with the leading levels in the field. Seedance 2.0 supports direct generation of audio-video content with durations ranging from 4 to 15 seconds, with native output resolutions of 480p and 720p. For multi-modal inputs as reference, its current open platform supports up to 3 video clips, 9 images, and 3 audio clips. In addition, we provide Seedance 2.0 Fast version, an accelerated variant of Seedance 2.0 designed to boost generation speed for low-latency scenarios. Seedance 2.0 has delivered significant improvements to its foundational generation capabilities and multi-modal generation performance, bringing an enhanced creative experience for end users.

WaveFilter: Enhancing the Long-Context Capability of Diffusion LLMs via Wavelet-Guided KV Cache Filtering

Diffusion Large Language Models (DLMs) have demonstrated significant advantages across various tasks. However, constrained by their multi-step iterative inference mechanism, their computational overhead and inference latency in long-context tasks have become core bottlenecks restricting their large-scale deployment. When processing long sequences, existing Key-Value (KV) caching mechanisms often face a dilemma where generation quality degrades drastically, where the core challenge lies in precisely and efficiently filtering critical tokens within ultra-long contexts. Inspired by the human reading process, we propose \textbf{WaveFilter}, a universal and training-free caching framework. This framework innovatively introduces the wavelet transform for decomposition of long sequences to achieve precise identification of key tokens, based on which a sparse KV Cache is constructed to compute the final contextual representation. Experimental results demonstrate that WaveFilter, as a plug-and-play generic framework, significantly enhances the performance of existing mainstream KV Cache methods in complex long-context tasks.

Mamba-FSCIL: Dynamic Adaptation with Selective State Space Model for Few-Shot Class-Incremental Learning

Few-shot class-incremental learning (FSCIL) aims to incrementally learn novel classes from limited examples while preserving knowledge of previously learned classes. Existing methods face a critical dilemma: static architectures rely on a fixed parameter space to learn from data that arrive sequentially, prone to overfitting to the current session, while dynamic architectures require the expansion of the parameter space continually, leading to increased complexity. In this study, we explore the potential of Selective State Space Models (SSMs) for FSCIL. Mamba leverages its input-dependent parameters to dynamically adjust its processing patterns and generate content-aware scan patterns within a fixed architecture. This enables it to configure distinct processing for base and novel classes, effectively preserving existing knowledge while adapting to new ones. To leverage Mamba's potential for FSCIL, we design two key modules: First, we propose a dual selective SSM projector that dynamically adjusts the projection parameters based on the intermediate features for dynamic adaptation. The dual-design structurally decouples base and novel class processing with a frozen base branch, employing a frozen base branch to maintain robust base-class features and a dynamic incremental branch that adaptively learns distinctive feature shifts for novel classes. Second, we develop a class-sensitive selective scan mechanism to guide dynamic adaptation of the incremental branch. It minimizes the disruption to base-class representations caused by training on novel data, and meanwhile, forces the selective scan to perform in distinct patterns between base and novel classes. Extensive experiments on miniImageNet, CUB-200, and CIFAR-100 demonstrate that Mamba-FSCIL achieves state-of-the-art performance. Learning-based data-enabled moving horizon estimation with application to membrane-based biological wastewater treatment process

In this paper, we propose a data-enabled moving horizon estimation (MHE) approach for a class of nonlinear systems without explicit modeling, by leveraging Koopman operator theory and Willems fundamental lemma. Specifically, the nonlinear system is lifted to a linear parameter-varying Koopman surrogate, in which the lifting functions and scheduling mappings are learned directly from data using neural networks. Willems fundamental lemma is then employed to construct a trajectory-based representation of the Koopman surrogate, which bypasses the explicit identification of the matrices of the Koopman surrogate. Based on this representation, we formulate a convex data-enabled MHE design, which provides real-time estimates of the Koopman surrogate states, from which the states of the original nonlinear system are reconstructed. Sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the stability of the estimation error. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated using a simulated membrane-based biological wastewater treatment process.

HEAD: HEtero-Assists Distillation for Heterogeneous Object Detectors

Conventional knowledge distillation (KD) methods for object detection mainly concentrate on homogeneous teacher-student detectors. However, the design of a lightweight detector for deployment is often significantly different from a high-capacity detector. Thus, we investigate KD among heterogeneous teacher-student pairs for a wide application. We observe that the core difficulty for heterogeneous KD (hetero-KD) is the significant semantic gap between the backbone features of heterogeneous detectors due to the different optimization manners. Conventional homogeneous KD (homo-KD) methods suffer from such a gap and are hard to directly obtain satisfactory performance for hetero-KD. In this paper, we propose the HEtero-Assists Distillation (HEAD) framework, leveraging heterogeneous detection heads as assistants to guide the optimization of the student detector to reduce this gap. In HEAD, the assistant is an additional detection head with the architecture homogeneous to the teacher head attached to the student backbone. Thus, a hetero-KD is transformed into a homo-KD, allowing efficient knowledge transfer from the teacher to the student. Moreover, we extend HEAD into a Teacher-Free HEAD (TF-HEAD) framework when a well-trained teacher detector is unavailable. Our method has achieved significant improvement compared to current detection KD methods. For example, on the MS-COCO dataset, TF-HEAD helps R18 RetinaNet achieve 33.9 mAP (+2.2), while HEAD further pushes the limit to 36.2 mAP (+4.5).

Improving Hand Recognition in Uncontrolled and Uncooperative Environments using Multiple Spatial Transformers and Loss Functions

The prevalence of smartphone and consumer camera has led to more evidence in the form of digital images, which are mostly taken in uncontrolled and uncooperative environments. In these images, criminals likely hide or cover their faces while their hands are observable in some cases, creating a challenging use case for forensic investigation. Many existing hand-based recognition methods perform well for hand images collected in controlled environments with user cooperation. However, their performance deteriorates significantly in uncontrolled and uncooperative environments. A recent work has exposed the potential of hand recognition in these environments. However, only the palmar regions were considered, and the recognition performance is still far from satisfactory. To improve the recognition accuracy, an algorithm integrating a multi-spatial transformer network (MSTN) and multiple loss functions is proposed to fully utilize information in full hand images. MSTN is firstly employed to localize the palms and fingers and estimate the alignment parameters. Then, the aligned images are further fed into pretrained convolutional neural networks, where features are extracted. Finally, a training scheme with multiple loss functions is used to train the network end-to-end. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, the trained model is evaluated on NTU-PI-v1 database and six benchmark databases from different domains. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs significantly better than the existing methods in these uncontrolled and uncooperative environments and has good generalization capabilities to samples from different domains.

Cross-Modality Domain Adaptation for Freespace Detection: A Simple yet Effective Baseline

As one of the fundamental functions of autonomous driving system, freespace detection aims at classifying each pixel of the image captured by the camera as drivable or non-drivable. Current works of freespace detection heavily rely on large amount of densely labeled training data for accuracy and robustness, which is time-consuming and laborious to collect and annotate. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first work to explore unsupervised domain adaptation for freespace detection to alleviate the data limitation problem with synthetic data. We develop a cross-modality domain adaptation framework which exploits both RGB images and surface normal maps generated from depth images. A Collaborative Cross Guidance (CCG) module is proposed to leverage the context information of one modality to guide the other modality in a cross manner, thus realizing inter-modality intra-domain complement. To better bridge the domain gap between source domain (synthetic data) and target domain (real-world data), we also propose a Selective Feature Alignment (SFA) module which only aligns the features of consistent foreground area between the two domains, thus realizing inter-domain intra-modality adaptation. Extensive experiments are conducted by adapting three different synthetic datasets to one real-world dataset for freespace detection respectively. Our method performs closely to fully supervised freespace detection methods (93.08 v.s. 97.50 F1 score) and outperforms other general unsupervised domain adaptation methods for semantic segmentation with large margins, which shows the promising potential of domain adaptation for freespace detection.

Rethinking Video Generation Model for the Embodied World

Video generation models have significantly advanced embodied intelligence, unlocking new possibilities for generating diverse robot data that capture perception, reasoning, and action in the physical world. However, synthesizing high-quality videos that accurately reflect real-world robotic interactions remains challenging, and the lack of a standardized benchmark limits fair comparisons and progress. To address this gap, we introduce a comprehensive robotics benchmark, RBench, designed to evaluate robot-oriented video generation across five task domains and four distinct embodiments. It assesses both task-level correctness and visual fidelity through reproducible sub-metrics, including structural consistency, physical plausibility, and action completeness. Evaluation of 25 representative models highlights significant deficiencies in generating physically realistic robot behaviors. Furthermore, the benchmark achieves a Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.96 with human evaluations, validating its effectiveness. While RBench provides the necessary lens to identify these deficiencies, achieving physical realism requires moving beyond evaluation to address the critical shortage of high-quality training data. Driven by these insights, we introduce a refined four-stage data pipeline, resulting in RoVid-X, the largest open-source robotic dataset for video generation with 4 million annotated video clips, covering thousands of tasks and enriched with comprehensive physical property annotations. Collectively, this synergistic ecosystem of evaluation and data establishes a robust foundation for rigorous assessment and scalable training of video models, accelerating the evolution of embodied AI toward general intelligence.

ViPO: Visual Preference Optimization at Scale

While preference optimization is crucial for improving visual generative models, how to effectively scale this paradigm remains largely unexplored. Current open-source preference datasets contain conflicting preference patterns, where winners excel in some dimensions but underperform in others. Naively optimizing on such noisy datasets fails to learn preferences, hindering effective scaling. To enhance robustness against noise, we propose Poly-DPO, which extends the DPO objective with an additional polynomial term that dynamically adjusts model confidence based on dataset characteristics, enabling effective learning across diverse data distributions. Beyond biased patterns, existing datasets suffer from low resolution, limited prompt diversity, and imbalanced distributions. To facilitate large-scale visual preference optimization by tackling data bottlenecks, we construct ViPO, a massive-scale preference dataset with 1M image pairs at 1024px across five categories and 300K video pairs at 720p+ across three categories. State-of-the-art generative models and diverse prompts ensure reliable preference signals with balanced distributions. Remarkably, when applying Poly-DPO to our high-quality dataset, the optimal configuration converges to standard DPO. This convergence validates dataset quality and Poly-DPO's adaptive nature: sophisticated optimization becomes unnecessary with sufficient data quality, yet remains valuable for imperfect datasets. We validate our approach across visual generation models. On noisy datasets like Pick-a-Pic V2, Poly-DPO achieves 6.87 and 2.32 gains over Diffusion-DPO on GenEval for SD1.5 and SDXL, respectively. For ViPO, models achieve performance far exceeding those trained on existing open-source preference datasets. These results confirm that addressing both algorithmic adaptability and data quality is essential for scaling visual preference optimization.

GenView: Enhancing View Quality with Pretrained Generative Model for Self-Supervised Learning

Self-supervised learning has achieved remarkable success in acquiring high-quality representations from unlabeled data. The widely adopted contrastive learning framework aims to learn invariant representations by minimizing the distance between positive views originating from the same image. However, existing techniques to construct positive views highly rely on manual transformations, resulting in limited diversity and potentially false positive pairs. To tackle these challenges, we present GenView, a controllable framework that augments the diversity of positive views leveraging the power of pretrained generative models while preserving semantics. We develop an adaptive view generation method that dynamically adjusts the noise level in sampling to ensure the preservation of essential semantic meaning while introducing variability. Additionally, we introduce a quality-driven contrastive loss, which assesses the quality of positive pairs by considering both foreground similarity and background diversity. This loss prioritizes the high-quality positive pairs we construct while reducing the influence of low-quality pairs, thereby mitigating potential semantic inconsistencies introduced by generative models and aggressive data augmentation. Thanks to the improved positive view quality and the quality-driven contrastive loss, GenView significantly improves self-supervised learning across various tasks. For instance, GenView improves MoCov2 performance by 2.5%/2.2% on ImageNet linear/semi-supervised classification. LoL: Longer than Longer, Scaling Video Generation to Hour

Recent research in long-form video generation has shifted from bidirectional to autoregressive models, yet these methods commonly suffer from error accumulation and a loss of long-term coherence. While attention sink frames have been introduced to mitigate this performance decay, they often induce a critical failure mode we term sink-collapse: the generated content repeatedly reverts to the sink frame, resulting in abrupt scene resets and cyclic motion patterns. Our analysis reveals that sink-collapse originates from an inherent conflict between the periodic structure of Rotary Position Embedding (RoPE) and the multi-head attention mechanisms prevalent in current generative models. To address it, we propose a lightweight, training-free approach that effectively suppresses this behavior by introducing multi-head RoPE jitter that breaks inter-head attention homogenization and mitigates long-horizon collapse. Extensive experiments show that our method successfully alleviates sink-collapse while preserving generation quality. To the best of our knowledge, this work achieves the first demonstration of real-time, streaming, and infinite-length video generation with little quality decay. As an illustration of this robustness, we generate continuous videos up to 12 hours in length, which, to our knowledge, is among the longest publicly demonstrated results in streaming video generation.

An Efficient Deep Template Matching and In-Plane Pose Estimation Method via Template-Aware Dynamic Convolution

In industrial inspection and component alignment tasks, template matching requires efficient estimation of a target's position and geometric state (rotation and scaling) under complex backgrounds to support precise downstream operations. Traditional methods rely on exhaustive enumeration of angles and scales, leading to low efficiency under compound transformations. Meanwhile, most deep learning-based approaches only estimate similarity scores without explicitly modeling geometric pose, making them inadequate for real-world deployment. To overcome these limitations, we propose a lightweight end-to-end framework that reformulates template matching as joint localization and geometric regression, outputting the center coordinates, rotation angle, and independent horizontal and vertical scales. A Template-Aware Dynamic Convolution Module (TDCM) dynamically injects template features at inference to guide generalizable matching. The compact network integrates depthwise separable convolutions and pixel shuffle for efficient matching. To enable geometric-annotation-free training, we introduce a rotation-shear-based augmentation strategy with structure-aware pseudo labels. A lightweight refinement module further improves angle and scale precision via local optimization. Experiments show our 3.07M model achieves high precision and 14ms inference under compound transformations. It also demonstrates strong robustness in small-template and multi-object scenarios, making it highly suitable for deployment in real-time industrial applications. GenView++: Unifying Adaptive View Generation and Quality-Driven Supervision for Contrastive Representation Learning

The success of contrastive learning depends on the construction and utilization of high-quality positive pairs. However, current methods face critical limitations on two fronts: on the construction side, both handcrafted and generative augmentations often suffer from limited diversity and risk semantic corruption; on the learning side, the absence of a quality assessment mechanism leads to suboptimal supervision where all pairs are treated equally. To tackle these challenges, we propose GenView++, a unified framework that addresses both fronts by introducing two synergistic innovations. To improve pair construction, GenView++ introduces a multi-source adaptive view generation mechanism to synthesize diverse yet semantically coherent views by dynamically modulating generative parameters across image-conditioned, text-conditioned, and image-text-conditioned strategies. Second, a quality-driven contrastive learning mechanism assesses each pair's semantic alignment and diversity to dynamically reweight their training contribution, prioritizing high-quality pairs while suppressing redundant or misaligned pairs. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of GenView++ across both vision and vision-language tasks. For vision representation learning, it improves MoCov2 by +2.5% on ImageNet linear classification. For vision-language learning, it raises the average zero-shot classification accuracy by +12.31% over CLIP and +5.31% over SLIP across ten datasets, and further improves Flickr30k text retrieval R@5 by +3.2%. U-MARVEL: Unveiling Key Factors for Universal Multimodal Retrieval via Embedding Learning with MLLMs

Universal multimodal retrieval (UMR), which aims to address complex retrieval tasks where both queries and candidates span diverse modalities, has been significantly advanced by the emergence of MLLMs. While state-of-the-art MLLM-based methods in the literature predominantly adopt contrastive learning principles, they often differ in their specific training recipes. Despite their success, the mechanisms underlying their retrieval capabilities remain largely unexplored, potentially resulting in suboptimal performance and limited generalization ability. To address these issues, we present a comprehensive study aimed at uncovering the key factors that drive effective embedding learning for UMR using MLLMs. We begin by implementing a general MLLM-based embedding learning pipeline, and systematically analyze the primary contributors to high-performing universal retrieval systems. Based on this, we explore various aspects of the details in embedding generation and training strategies, including progressive transition, hard negative mining and re-ranker distillation. Notably, our findings reveal that often-overlooked factors can have a substantial impact on model performance. Building on these discoveries, we introduce a unified framework termed U-MARVEL (\textbf{U}niversal \textbf{M}ultimod\textbf{A}l \textbf{R}etrie\textbf{V}al via \textbf{E}mbedding \textbf{L}earning), which outperforms state-of-the-art competitors on the M-BEIR benchmark by a large margin in supervised settings, and also exihibits strong zero-shot performance on several tasks such as composed image retrieval and text-to-video retrieval. Continuous Knowledge-Preserving Decomposition with Adaptive Layer Selection for Few-Shot Class-Incremental Learning

Few-Shot Class-Incremental Learning (FSCIL) faces a critical challenge: balancing the retention of prior knowledge with the acquisition of new classes. Existing methods either freeze the backbone to prevent catastrophic forgetting, sacrificing plasticity, or add new modules, incurring high costs. These approaches treat pretrained models as black boxes, overlooking two key opportunities to exploit their internal capacity: reusing redundant representational space within layers and selectively adapting layers based on their sensitivity to forgetting. We propose CKPD-FSCIL, a unified framework that unlocks the underutilized capacity of pretrained weights, achieving a superior stability-plasticity balance with zero inference overhead. Our design integrates two continuously adapting mechanisms: At the weight level, a Continuous Knowledge-Preserving Decomposition mechanism uses feature covariance to split each weight matrix into a frozen subspace that safeguards prior knowledge and a learnable, redundant subspace for new tasks. At the layer level, a Continuous Adaptive Layer Selection mechanism leverages an Adapter Sensitivity Ratio to automatically select layers with the highest redundant capacity and lowest forgetting risk for adaptation. By targeting only safe, high-potential subspaces and layers, CKPD-FSCIL enables efficient adaptation. After each session, the learned adapters are merged back into the original weights, ensuring zero additional parameters or FLOPs during inference. Extensive experiments on multiple FSCIL benchmarks demonstrate that our method consistently outperforms state-of-the-art approaches in both adaptability and knowledge retention. Temporal-Relational Hypergraph Tri-Attention Networks for Stock Trend Prediction

Predicting the future price trends of stocks is a challenging yet intriguing problem given its critical role to help investors make profitable decisions. In this paper, we present a collaborative temporal-relational modeling framework for end-to-end stock trend prediction. The temporal dynamics of stocks is firstly captured with an attention-based recurrent neural network. Then, different from existing studies relying on the pairwise correlations between stocks, we argue that stocks are naturally connected as a collective group, and introduce the hypergraph structures to jointly characterize the stock group-wise relationships of industry-belonging and fund-holding. A novel hypergraph tri-attention network (HGTAN) is proposed to augment the hypergraph convolutional networks with a hierarchical organization of intra-hyperedge, inter-hyperedge, and inter-hypergraph attention modules. In this manner, HGTAN adaptively determines the importance of nodes, hyperedges, and hypergraphs during the information propagation among stocks, so that the potential synergies between stock movements can be fully exploited. Extensive experiments on real-world data demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach. Also, the results of investment simulation show that our approach can achieve a more desirable risk-adjusted return. How are identifiers named in open source software? About popularity and consistency

With the rapid increasing of software project size and maintenance cost, adherence to coding standards especially by managing identifier naming, is attracting a pressing concern from both computer science educators and software managers. Software developers mainly use identifier names to represent the knowledge recorded in source code. However, the popularity and adoption consistency of identifier naming conventions have not been revealed yet in this field. Taking forty-eight popular open source projects written in three top-ranking programming languages Java, C and C++ as examples, an identifier extraction tool based on regular expression matching is developed. In the subsequent investigation, some interesting findings are obtained. For the identifier naming popularity, it is found that Camel and Pascal naming conventions are leading the road while Hungarian notation is vanishing. For the identifier naming consistency, we have found that the projects written in Java have a much better performance than those written in C and C++. Finally, academia and software industry are urged to adopt the most popular naming conventions consistently in their practices so as to lead the identifier naming to a standard, unified and high-quality road.

UAV Trajectory and Bandwidth Allocation for Efficient Data Collection in Low-Altitude Intelligent IoT: A Hierarchical DRL Approach

Under the 6G wireless network evolution, the low-altitude Internet of Things (IoT), supported by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) capabilities, provides ground sensing networks with advanced real-time monitoring and data collection. To maximize data collection volume from distributed IoT nodes, AI-powered data collection technology plays a critical role in enabling intelligent decision-making. Among them, deep reinforcement learning (DRL) has gained particular attention. However, the existing DRL-based work on UAV-assisted IoT nodes data collection rarely address problems such as unknown interference and dynamic data volume. Moreover, these DRL models have high arithmetic requirements and slow convergence speed, making it difficult to carry on UAVs with limited load and arithmetic power. To address these challenges, a hierarchical deep reinforcement learning (HDRL), which can converge quickly and with smaller models, is designed to optimize UAV trajectories and bandwidth allocation to maximize data collection volume. Firstly, the proposed scenario incorporates interference from jammers, dynamic data volume of IoT nodes, and multiple types of obstacles. The entire task is hierarchically structured: the upper-level makes flight trajectory decisions at a coarse temporal granularity, while the lower-level makes bandwidth allocation decisions at a finer temporal granularity. Secondly, a trajectory and bandwidth allocation optimization algorithm based on hierarchical deep deterministic policy gradients (TBH-DDPG) is proposed to solve the problem. Finally, simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm improves convergence speed by 44.44%, and reduces computational cost by 58.05%, compared to non-hierarchical algorithm.

Seaweed-7B: Cost-Effective Training of Video Generation Foundation Model

This technical report presents a cost-efficient strategy for training a video generation foundation model. We present a mid-sized research model with approximately 7 billion parameters (7B) called Seaweed-7B trained from scratch using 665,000 H100 GPU hours. Despite being trained with moderate computational resources, Seaweed-7B demonstrates highly competitive performance compared to contemporary video generation models of much larger size. Design choices are especially crucial in a resource-constrained setting. This technical report highlights the key design decisions that enhance the performance of the medium-sized diffusion model. Empirically, we make two observations: (1) Seaweed-7B achieves performance comparable to, or even surpasses, larger models trained on substantially greater GPU resources, and (2) our model, which exhibits strong generalization ability, can be effectively adapted across a wide range of downstream applications either by lightweight fine-tuning or continue training. Seedance 1.0: Exploring the Boundaries of Video Generation Models

Notable breakthroughs in diffusion modeling have propelled rapid improvements in video generation, yet current foundational model still face critical challenges in simultaneously balancing prompt following, motion plausibility, and visual quality. In this report, we introduce Seedance 1.0, a high-performance and inference-efficient video foundation generation model that integrates several core technical improvements: (i) multi-source data curation augmented with precision and meaningful video captioning, enabling comprehensive learning across diverse scenarios; (ii) an efficient architecture design with proposed training paradigm, which allows for natively supporting multi-shot generation and jointly learning of both text-to-video and image-to-video tasks. (iii) carefully-optimized post-training approaches leveraging fine-grained supervised fine-tuning, and video-specific RLHF with multi-dimensional reward mechanisms for comprehensive performance improvements; (iv) excellent model acceleration achieving ~10x inference speedup through multi-stage distillation strategies and system-level optimizations. Seedance 1.0 can generate a 5-second video at 1080p resolution only with 41.4 seconds (NVIDIA-L20). Compared to state-of-the-art video generation models, Seedance 1.0 stands out with high-quality and fast video generation having superior spatiotemporal fluidity with structural stability, precise instruction adherence in complex multi-subject contexts, native multi-shot narrative coherence with consistent subject representation.

RadioGAT: A Joint Model-based and Data-driven Framework for Multi-band Radiomap Reconstruction via Graph Attention Networks

Multi-band radiomap reconstruction (MB-RMR) is a key component in wireless communications for tasks such as spectrum management and network planning. However, traditional machine-learning-based MB-RMR methods, which rely heavily on simulated data or complete structured ground truth, face significant deployment challenges. These challenges stem from the differences between simulated and actual data, as well as the scarcity of real-world measurements. To address these challenges, our study presents RadioGAT, a novel framework based on Graph Attention Network (GAT) tailored for MB-RMR within a single area, eliminating the need for multi-region datasets. RadioGAT innovatively merges model-based spatial-spectral correlation encoding with data-driven radiomap generalization, thus minimizing the reliance on extensive data sources. The framework begins by transforming sparse multi-band data into a graph structure through an innovative encoding strategy that leverages radio propagation models to capture the spatial-spectral correlation inherent in the data. This graph-based representation not only simplifies data handling but also enables tailored label sampling during training, significantly enhancing the framework's adaptability for deployment. Subsequently, The GAT is employed to generalize the radiomap information across various frequency bands. Extensive experiments using raytracing datasets based on real-world environments have demonstrated RadioGAT's enhanced accuracy in supervised learning settings and its robustness in semi-supervised scenarios. These results underscore RadioGAT's effectiveness and practicality for MB-RMR in environments with limited data availability.

LipGen: Viseme-Guided Lip Video Generation for Enhancing Visual Speech Recognition

Visual speech recognition (VSR), commonly known as lip reading, has garnered significant attention due to its wide-ranging practical applications. The advent of deep learning techniques and advancements in hardware capabilities have significantly enhanced the performance of lip reading models. Despite these advancements, existing datasets predominantly feature stable video recordings with limited variability in lip movements. This limitation results in models that are highly sensitive to variations encountered in real-world scenarios. To address this issue, we propose a novel framework, LipGen, which aims to improve model robustness by leveraging speech-driven synthetic visual data, thereby mitigating the constraints of current datasets. Additionally, we introduce an auxiliary task that incorporates viseme classification alongside attention mechanisms. This approach facilitates the efficient integration of temporal information, directing the model's focus toward the relevant segments of speech, thereby enhancing discriminative capabilities. Our method demonstrates superior performance compared to the current state-of-the-art on the lip reading in the wild (LRW) dataset and exhibits even more pronounced advantages under challenging conditions.

Self-Forcing++: Towards Minute-Scale High-Quality Video Generation

Diffusion models have revolutionized image and video generation, achieving unprecedented visual quality. However, their reliance on transformer architectures incurs prohibitively high computational costs, particularly when extending generation to long videos. Recent work has explored autoregressive formulations for long video generation, typically by distilling from short-horizon bidirectional teachers. Nevertheless, given that teacher models cannot synthesize long videos, the extrapolation of student models beyond their training horizon often leads to pronounced quality degradation, arising from the compounding of errors within the continuous latent space. In this paper, we propose a simple yet effective approach to mitigate quality degradation in long-horizon video generation without requiring supervision from long-video teachers or retraining on long video datasets. Our approach centers on exploiting the rich knowledge of teacher models to provide guidance for the student model through sampled segments drawn from self-generated long videos. Our method maintains temporal consistency while scaling video length by up to 20x beyond teacher's capability, avoiding common issues such as over-exposure and error-accumulation without recomputing overlapping frames like previous methods. When scaling up the computation, our method shows the capability of generating videos up to 4 minutes and 15 seconds, equivalent to 99.9% of the maximum span supported by our base model's position embedding and more than 50x longer than that of our baseline model. Experiments on standard benchmarks and our proposed improved benchmark demonstrate that our approach substantially outperforms baseline methods in both fidelity and consistency. Enhancing Online Continual Learning with Plug-and-Play State Space Model and Class-Conditional Mixture of Discretization

Online continual learning (OCL) seeks to learn new tasks from data streams that appear only once, while retaining knowledge of previously learned tasks. Most existing methods rely on replay, focusing on enhancing memory retention through regularization or distillation. However, they often overlook the adaptability of the model, limiting the ability to learn generalizable and discriminative features incrementally from online training data. To address this, we introduce a plug-and-play module, S6MOD, which can be integrated into most existing methods and directly improve adaptability. Specifically, S6MOD introduces an extra branch after the backbone, where a mixture of discretization selectively adjusts parameters in a selective state space model, enriching selective scan patterns such that the model can adaptively select the most sensitive discretization method for current dynamics. We further design a class-conditional routing algorithm for dynamic, uncertainty-based adjustment and implement a contrastive discretization loss to optimize it. Extensive experiments combining our module with various models demonstrate that S6MOD significantly enhances model adaptability, leading to substantial performance gains and achieving the state-of-the-art results.

Adaptive Batch-Wise Sample Scheduling for Direct Preference Optimization

Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) has emerged as an effective approach for aligning large language models (LLMs) with human preferences. However, its performance is highly dependent on the quality of the underlying human preference data. To address this bottleneck, prior work has explored various data selection strategies, but these methods often overlook the impact of the evolving states of the language model during the optimization process. In this paper, we introduce a novel problem: Sample Scheduling for DPO, which aims to dynamically and adaptively schedule training samples based on the model's evolving batch-wise states throughout preference optimization. To solve this problem, we propose SamS, an efficient and effective algorithm that adaptively selects samples in each training batch based on the LLM's learning feedback to maximize the potential generalization performance. Notably, without modifying the core DPO algorithm, simply integrating SamS significantly improves performance across tasks, with minimal additional computational overhead. This work points to a promising new direction for improving LLM alignment through batch-wise sample selection, with potential generalization to RLHF and broader supervised learning paradigms.

Policy Improvement Reinforcement Learning

Reinforcement Learning with Verifiable Rewards (RLVR) has become a central post-training paradigm for improving the reasoning capabilities of large language models. Yet existing methods share a common blind spot: they optimize policies based on instantaneous group-level or batch-level statistics without ever verifying whether the resulting update actually improved the model. This open-loop design -- updating in isolation at each step, guided only by within-group (batch) reward signals -- means optimization can drift or collapse with no mechanism to detect and correct these failures. We argue that the missing ingredient is policy improvement feedback: the ability to measure and optimize inter-iteration progress directly. To this end, we introduce Policy Improvement Reinforcement Learning (PIRL), a framework that replaces surrogate reward maximization with the explicit objective of maximizing cumulative policy improvement across iterations, and prove this temporal objective is perfectly aligned with maximizing final task performance. Building on PIRL, we propose Policy Improvement Policy Optimization (PIPO), which implements closed-loop optimization through retrospective verification. At each iteration, PIPO evaluates whether the previous update yielded genuine improvement against a sliding-window historical baseline, then actively reinforces beneficial updates and suppresses the harmful ones -- transforming an open-loop process into a self-correcting one. We provide theoretical analysis showing that PIPO performs ascent on the PIRL objective in expectation, and experiments on mathematical reasoning benchmarks demonstrate improved stability and performance over GRPO and its variants.

U6G XL-MIMO Radiomap Prediction: Multi-Config Dataset and Beam Map Approach

The upper 6 GHz (U6G) band with XL-MIMO is a key enabler for sixth-generation wireless systems, yet intelligent radiomap prediction for such systems remains challenging. Existing datasets support only small-scale arrays (up to 8x8) with predominantly isotropic antennas, far from the 1024-element directional arrays envisioned for 6G. Moreover, current methods encode array configurations as scalar parameters, forcing neural networks to extrapolate array-specific radiation patterns, which fails when predicting radiomaps for configurations absent from training data. To jointly address data scarcity and generalization limitations, this paper advances XL-MIMO radiomap prediction from three aspects. To overcome data limitations, we construct the first XL-MIMO radiomap dataset containing 78400 radiomaps across 800 urban scenes, five frequency bands (1.8-6.7 GHz), and nine array configurations up to 32x32 uniform planar arrays with directional elements. To enable systematic evaluation, we establish a comprehensive benchmark framework covering practical scenarios from coverage estimation without field measurements to generalization across unseen configurations and environments. To enable generalization to arbitrary beam configurations without retraining, we propose the beam map, a physics-informed spatial feature that analytically computes array-specific coverage patterns. By decoupling deterministic array radiation from data learned multipath propagation, beam maps shift generalization from neural network extrapolation to physics-based computation. Integrating beam maps into existing architectures reduces mean absolute error by up to 60.0% when generalizing to unseen configurations and up to 50.5% when transferring to unseen environments. Seedance 1.5 pro: A Native Audio-Visual Joint Generation Foundation Model

Recent strides in video generation have paved the way for unified audio-visual generation. In this work, we present Seedance 1.5 pro, a foundational model engineered specifically for native, joint audio-video generation. Leveraging a dual-branch Diffusion Transformer architecture, the model integrates a cross-modal joint module with a specialized multi-stage data pipeline, achieving exceptional audio-visual synchronization and superior generation quality. To ensure practical utility, we implement meticulous post-training optimizations, including Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) on high-quality datasets and Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) with multi-dimensional reward models. Furthermore, we introduce an acceleration framework that boosts inference speed by over 10X. A Disentangled Representation Learning Framework for Low-altitude Network Coverage Prediction

The expansion of the low-altitude economy has underscored the significance of Low-Altitude Network Coverage (LANC) prediction for designing aerial corridors. While accurate LANC forecasting hinges on the antenna beam patterns of Base Stations (BSs), these patterns are typically proprietary and not readily accessible. Operational parameters of BSs, which inherently contain beam information, offer an opportunity for data-driven low-altitude coverage prediction. However, collecting extensive low-altitude road test data is cost-prohibitive, often yielding only sparse samples per BS. This scarcity results in two primary challenges: imbalanced feature sampling due to limited variability in high-dimensional operational parameters against the backdrop of substantial changes in low-dimensional sampling locations, and diminished generalizability stemming from insufficient data samples. To overcome these obstacles, we introduce a dual strategy comprising expert knowledge-based feature compression and disentangled representation learning. The former reduces feature space complexity by leveraging communications expertise, while the latter enhances model generalizability through the integration of propagation models and distinct subnetworks that capture and aggregate the semantic representations of latent features. Experimental evaluation confirms the efficacy of our framework, yielding a 7% reduction in error compared to the best baseline algorithm. Real-network validations further attest to its reliability, achieving practical prediction accuracy with MAE errors at the 5dB level.

Preview-based Category Contrastive Learning for Knowledge Distillation

Knowledge distillation is a mainstream algorithm in model compression by transferring knowledge from the larger model (teacher) to the smaller model (student) to improve the performance of student. Despite many efforts, existing methods mainly investigate the consistency between instance-level feature representation or prediction, which neglects the category-level information and the difficulty of each sample, leading to undesirable performance. To address these issues, we propose a novel preview-based category contrastive learning method for knowledge distillation (PCKD). It first distills the structural knowledge of both instance-level feature correspondence and the relation between instance features and category centers in a contrastive learning fashion, which can explicitly optimize the category representation and explore the distinct correlation between representations of instances and categories, contributing to discriminative category centers and better classification results. Besides, we introduce a novel preview strategy to dynamically determine how much the student should learn from each sample according to their difficulty. Different from existing methods that treat all samples equally and curriculum learning that simply filters out hard samples, our method assigns a small weight for hard instances as a preview to better guide the student training. Extensive experiments on several challenging datasets, including CIFAR-100 and ImageNet, demonstrate the superiority over state-of-the-art methods.

Tuning-Free Visual Customization via View Iterative Self-Attention Control

Fine-Tuning Diffusion Models enable a wide range of personalized generation and editing applications on diverse visual modalities. While Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) accelerates the fine-tuning process, it still requires multiple reference images and time-consuming training, which constrains its scalability for large-scale and real-time applications. In this paper, we propose \textit{View Iterative Self-Attention Control (VisCtrl)} to tackle this challenge. Specifically, VisCtrl is a training-free method that injects the appearance and structure of a user-specified subject into another subject in the target image, unlike previous approaches that require fine-tuning the model. Initially, we obtain the initial noise for both the reference and target images through DDIM inversion. Then, during the denoising phase, features from the reference image are injected into the target image via the self-attention mechanism. Notably, by iteratively performing this feature injection process, we ensure that the reference image features are gradually integrated into the target image. This approach results in consistent and harmonious editing with only one reference image in a few denoising steps. Moreover, benefiting from our plug-and-play architecture design and the proposed Feature Gradual Sampling strategy for multi-view editing, our method can be easily extended to edit in complex visual domains. Extensive experiments show the efficacy of VisCtrl across a spectrum of tasks, including personalized editing of images, videos, and 3D scenes.

CorDA: Context-Oriented Decomposition Adaptation of Large Language Models for Task-Aware Parameter-Efficient Fine-tuning

Current parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) methods build adapters widely agnostic of the context of downstream task to learn, or the context of important knowledge to maintain. As a result, there is often a performance gap compared to full-parameter fine-tuning, and meanwhile the fine-tuned model suffers from catastrophic forgetting of the pre-trained world knowledge. In this paper, we propose CorDA, a Context-oriented Decomposition Adaptation method that builds learnable task-aware adapters from weight decomposition oriented by the context of downstream task or the world knowledge to maintain. Concretely, we collect a few data samples, and perform singular value decomposition for each linear layer of a pre-trained LLM multiplied by the covariance matrix of the input activation using these samples. The inverse of the covariance matrix is multiplied with the decomposed components to reconstruct the original weights. By doing so, the context of the representative samples is captured through deciding the factorizing orientation. Our method enables two options, the knowledge-preserved adaptation and the instruction-previewed adaptation. For the former, we use question-answering samples to obtain the covariance matrices, and use the decomposed components with the smallest $r$ singular values to initialize a learnable adapter, with the others frozen such that the world knowledge is better preserved. For the latter, we use the instruction data from the fine-tuning task, such as math or coding, to orientate the decomposition and train the largest $r$ components that most correspond to the task to learn. We conduct extensive experiments on Math, Code, and Instruction Following tasks.

Towards Interpretable Deep Local Learning with Successive Gradient Reconciliation

Relieving the reliance of neural network training on a global back-propagation (BP) has emerged as a notable research topic due to the biological implausibility and huge memory consumption caused by BP. Among the existing solutions, local learning optimizes gradient-isolated modules of a neural network with local errors and has been proved to be effective even on large-scale datasets. However, the reconciliation among local errors has never been investigated. In this paper, we first theoretically study non-greedy layer-wise training and show that the convergence cannot be assured when the local gradient in a module w.r.t. its input is not reconciled with the local gradient in the previous module w.r.t. its output. Inspired by the theoretical result, we further propose a local training strategy that successively regularizes the gradient reconciliation between neighboring modules without breaking gradient isolation or introducing any learnable parameters. Our method can be integrated into both local-BP and BP-free settings. In experiments, we achieve significant performance improvements compared to previous methods. Particularly, our method for CNN and Transformer architectures on ImageNet is able to attain a competitive performance with global BP, saving more than 40% memory consumption.

Face Deblurring Based on Separable Normalization and Adaptive Denormalization

Face deblurring aims to restore a clear face image from a blurred input image with more explicit structure and facial details. However, most conventional image and face deblurring methods focus on the whole generated image resolution without consideration of special face part texture and generally produce unsufficient details. Considering that faces and backgrounds have different distribution information, in this study, we designed an effective face deblurring network based on separable normalization and adaptive denormalization (SNADNet). First, We fine-tuned the face parsing network to obtain an accurate face structure. Then, we divided the face parsing feature into face foreground and background. Moreover, we constructed a new feature adaptive denormalization to regularize fafcial structures as a condition of the auxiliary to generate more harmonious and undistorted face structure. In addition, we proposed a texture extractor and multi-patch discriminator to enhance the generated facial texture information. Experimental results on both CelebA and CelebA-HQ datasets demonstrate that the proposed face deblurring network restores face structure with more facial details and performs favorably against state-of-the-art methods in terms of structured similarity indexing method (SSIM), peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), Frechet inception distance (FID) and L1, and qualitative comparisons.

Domain Embedded Multi-model Generative Adversarial Networks for Image-based Face Inpainting

Prior knowledge of face shape and structure plays an important role in face inpainting. However, traditional face inpainting methods mainly focus on the generated image resolution of the missing portion without consideration of the special particularities of the human face explicitly and generally produce discordant facial parts. To solve this problem, we present a domain embedded multi-model generative adversarial model for inpainting of face images with large cropped regions. We firstly represent only face regions using the latent variable as the domain knowledge and combine it with the non-face parts textures to generate high-quality face images with plausible contents. Two adversarial discriminators are finally used to judge whether the generated distribution is close to the real distribution or not. It can not only synthesize novel image structures but also explicitly utilize the embedded face domain knowledge to generate better predictions with consistency on structures and appearance. Experiments on both CelebA and CelebA-HQ face datasets demonstrate that our proposed approach achieved state-of-the-art performance and generates higher quality inpainting results than existing ones.

Detector-in-Detector: Multi-Level Analysis for Human-Parts

Vision-based person, hand or face detection approaches have achieved incredible success in recent years with the development of deep convolutional neural network (CNN). In this paper, we take the inherent correlation between the body and body parts into account and propose a new framework to boost up the detection performance of the multi-level objects. In particular, we adopt a region-based object detection structure with two carefully designed detectors to separately pay attention to the human body and body parts in a coarse-to-fine manner, which we call Detector-in-Detector network (DID-Net). The first detector is designed to detect human body, hand, and face. The second detector, based on the body detection results of the first detector, mainly focus on the detection of small hand and face inside each body. The framework is trained in an end-to-end way by optimizing a multi-task loss. Due to the lack of human body, face and hand detection dataset, we have collected and labeled a new large dataset named Human-Parts with 14,962 images and 106,879 annotations. Experiments show that our method can achieve excellent performance on Human-Parts.
