ViDA: Homeostatic Visual Domain Adapter for Continual Test Time AdaptationJiaming Liu, Senqiao Yang, Peidong Jia et al.
Since real-world machine systems are running in non-stationary environments, Continual Test-Time Adaptation (CTTA) task is proposed to adapt the pre-trained model to continually changing target domains. Recently, existing methods mainly focus on model-based adaptation, which aims to leverage a self-training manner to extract the target domain knowledge. However, pseudo labels can be noisy and the updated model parameters are unreliable under dynamic data distributions, leading to error accumulation and catastrophic forgetting in the continual adaptation process. To tackle these challenges and maintain the model plasticity, we design a Visual Domain Adapter (ViDA) for CTTA, explicitly handling both domain-specific and domain-shared knowledge. Specifically, we first comprehensively explore the different domain representations of the adapters with trainable high-rank or low-rank embedding spaces. Then we inject ViDAs into the pre-trained model, which leverages high-rank and low-rank features to adapt the current domain distribution and maintain the continual domain-shared knowledge, respectively. To exploit the low-rank and high-rank ViDAs more effectively, we further propose a Homeostatic Knowledge Allotment (HKA) strategy, which adaptively combines different knowledge from each ViDA. Extensive experiments conducted on four widely used benchmarks demonstrate that our proposed method achieves state-of-the-art performance in both classification and segmentation CTTA tasks. Note that, our method can be regarded as a novel transfer paradigm for large-scale models, delivering promising results in adaptation to continually changing distributions. PM-DETR: Domain Adaptive Prompt Memory for Object Detection with TransformersPeidong Jia, Jiaming Liu, Senqiao Yang et al.
The Transformer-based detectors (i.e., DETR) have demonstrated impressive performance on end-to-end object detection. However, transferring DETR to different data distributions may lead to a significant performance degradation. Existing adaptation techniques focus on model-based approaches, which aim to leverage feature alignment to narrow the distribution shift between different domains. In this study, we propose a hierarchical Prompt Domain Memory (PDM) for adapting detection transformers to different distributions. PDM comprehensively leverages the prompt memory to extract domain-specific knowledge and explicitly constructs a long-term memory space for the data distribution, which represents better domain diversity compared to existing methods. Specifically, each prompt and its corresponding distribution value are paired in the memory space, and we inject top M distribution-similar prompts into the input and multi-level embeddings of DETR. Additionally, we introduce the Prompt Memory Alignment (PMA) to reduce the discrepancy between the source and target domains by fully leveraging the domain-specific knowledge extracted from the prompt domain memory. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art domain adaptive object detection methods on three benchmarks, including scene, synthetic to real, and weather adaptation. COLE: A Hierarchical Generation Framework for Multi-Layered and Editable Graphic DesignPeidong Jia, Chenxuan Li, Yuhui Yuan et al.
Graphic design, which has been evolving since the 15th century, plays a crucial role in advertising. The creation of high-quality designs demands design-oriented planning, reasoning, and layer-wise generation. Unlike the recent CanvaGPT, which integrates GPT-4 with existing design templates to build a custom GPT, this paper introduces the COLE system - a hierarchical generation framework designed to comprehensively address these challenges. This COLE system can transform a vague intention prompt into a high-quality multi-layered graphic design, while also supporting flexible editing based on user input. Examples of such input might include directives like ``design a poster for Hisaishi's concert.'' The key insight is to dissect the complex task of text-to-design generation into a hierarchy of simpler sub-tasks, each addressed by specialized models working collaboratively. The results from these models are then consolidated to produce a cohesive final output. Our hierarchical task decomposition can streamline the complex process and significantly enhance generation reliability. Our COLE system comprises multiple fine-tuned Large Language Models (LLMs), Large Multimodal Models (LMMs), and Diffusion Models (DMs), each specifically tailored for design-aware layer-wise captioning, layout planning, reasoning, and the task of generating images and text. Furthermore, we construct the DESIGNINTENTION benchmark to demonstrate the superiority of our COLE system over existing methods in generating high-quality graphic designs from user intent. Last, we present a Canva-like multi-layered image editing tool to support flexible editing of the generated multi-layered graphic design images. We perceive our COLE system as an important step towards addressing more complex and multi-layered graphic design generation tasks in the future.

World-Ego Modeling for Long-Horizon Evolution in Hybrid Embodied TasksZuyao Lin, Jianhui Zhang, Peidong Jia et al.
World models are widely explored in embodied intelligence, yet they typically predict distinct evolutions of the world and the ego within a single stream, where the world captures persistent instruction-agnostic scene regularities and the ego captures robot-centric instruction-conditioned dynamics. This world-ego entanglement leads to a degradation in long-horizon embodied scenarios, particularly in hybrid tasks with interleaved navigation and manipulation behaviors. In this paper, we introduce \emph{World-Ego Modeling}, a new conceptual paradigm that decomposes future evolution into world and ego components. We define the world-ego boundary from three perspectives, i.e., motion-, semantic-, and intention-based views, and analyze three disentanglement strategies with post-, pre-, and full disentanglement. Further, we instantiate this paradigm as the World-Ego Model (WEM), a unified embodied world model that couples an implicit separate world-ego planner with a cascade-parallel mixture-of-experts (CP-MoE) diffusion generator. To enable rigorous evaluation, we further construct HTEWorld, the first benchmark for long-horizon world modeling with hybrid navigation-manipulation tasks, providing 125K video clips (over 4.5M frames) with fine-grained action annotations and 300 multi-turn evaluation trajectories (over 2K instructions). Extensive experiments show that WEM achieves state-of-the-art performance on HTEWorld while remaining competitive on existing manipulation-only benchmarks.

WoW: Towards a World omniscient World model Through Embodied InteractionXiaowei Chi, Peidong Jia, Chun-Kai Fan et al.
Humans develop an understanding of intuitive physics through active interaction with the world. This approach is in stark contrast to current video models, such as Sora, which rely on passive observation and therefore struggle with grasping physical causality. This observation leads to our central hypothesis: authentic physical intuition of the world model must be grounded in extensive, causally rich interactions with the real world. To test this hypothesis, we present WoW, a 14-billion-parameter generative world model trained on 2 million robot interaction trajectories. Our findings reveal that the model's understanding of physics is a probabilistic distribution of plausible outcomes, leading to stochastic instabilities and physical hallucinations. Furthermore, we demonstrate that this emergent capability can be actively constrained toward physical realism by SOPHIA, where vision-language model agents evaluate the DiT-generated output and guide its refinement by iteratively evolving the language instructions. In addition, a co-trained Inverse Dynamics Model translates these refined plans into executable robotic actions, thus closing the imagination-to-action loop. We establish WoWBench, a new benchmark focused on physical consistency and causal reasoning in video, where WoW achieves state-of-the-art performance in both human and autonomous evaluation, demonstrating strong ability in physical causality, collision dynamics, and object permanence. Our work provides systematic evidence that large-scale, real-world interaction is a cornerstone for developing physical intuition in AI. Models, data, and benchmarks will be open-sourced.

Wow, wo, val! A Comprehensive Embodied World Model Evaluation Turing TestChun-Kai Fan, Xiaowei Chi, Xiaozhu Ju et al.
As world models gain momentum in Embodied AI, an increasing number of works explore using video foundation models as predictive world models for downstream embodied tasks like 3D prediction or interactive generation. However, before exploring these downstream tasks, video foundation models still have two critical questions unanswered: (1) whether their generative generalization is sufficient to maintain perceptual fidelity in the eyes of human observers, and (2) whether they are robust enough to serve as a universal prior for real-world embodied agents. To provide a standardized framework for answering these questions, we introduce the Embodied Turing Test benchmark: WoW-World-Eval (Wow,wo,val). Building upon 609 robot manipulation data, Wow-wo-val examines five core abilities, including perception, planning, prediction, generalization, and execution. We propose a comprehensive evaluation protocol with 22 metrics to assess the models' generation ability, which achieves a high Pearson Correlation between the overall score and human preference (>0.93) and establishes a reliable foundation for the Human Turing Test. On Wow-wo-val, models achieve only 17.27 on long-horizon planning and at best 68.02 on physical consistency, indicating limited spatiotemporal consistency and physical reasoning. For the Inverse Dynamic Model Turing Test, we first use an IDM to evaluate the video foundation models' execution accuracy in the real world. However, most models collapse to $\approx$ 0% success, while WoW maintains a 40.74% success rate. These findings point to a noticeable gap between the generated videos and the real world, highlighting the urgency and necessity of benchmarking World Model in Embodied AI.

FastDriveVLA: Efficient End-to-End Driving via Plug-and-Play Reconstruction-based Token PruningJiajun Cao, Qizhe Zhang, Peidong Jia et al.
Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have demonstrated significant potential in complex scene understanding and action reasoning, leading to their increasing adoption in end-to-end autonomous driving systems. However, the long visual tokens of VLA models greatly increase computational costs. Current visual token pruning methods in Vision-Language Models (VLM) rely on either visual token similarity or visual-text attention, but both have shown poor performance in autonomous driving scenarios. Given that human drivers concentrate on relevant foreground areas while driving, we assert that retaining visual tokens containing this foreground information is essential for effective decision-making. Inspired by this, we propose FastDriveVLA, a novel reconstruction-based vision token pruning framework designed specifically for autonomous driving. FastDriveVLA includes a plug-and-play visual token pruner called ReconPruner, which prioritizes foreground information through MAE-style pixel reconstruction. A novel adversarial foreground-background reconstruction strategy is designed to train ReconPruner for the visual encoder of VLA models. Once trained, ReconPruner can be seamlessly applied to different VLA models with the same visual encoder without retraining. To train ReconPruner, we also introduce a large-scale dataset called nuScenes-FG, consisting of 241K image-mask pairs with annotated foreground regions. Our approach achieves state-of-the-art results on the nuScenes open-loop planning benchmark across different pruning ratios.

MinD: Learning A Dual-System World Model for Real-Time Planning and Implicit Risk AnalysisXiaowei Chi, Kuangzhi Ge, Jiaming Liu et al.
Video Generation Models (VGMs) have become powerful backbones for Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, leveraging large-scale pretraining for robust dynamics modeling. However, current methods underutilize their distribution modeling capabilities for predicting future states. Two challenges hinder progress: integrating generative processes into feature learning is both technically and conceptually underdeveloped, and naive frame-by-frame video diffusion is computationally inefficient for real-time robotics. To address these, we propose Manipulate in Dream (MinD), a dual-system world model for real-time, risk-aware planning. MinD uses two asynchronous diffusion processes: a low-frequency visual generator (LoDiff) that predicts future scenes and a high-frequency diffusion policy (HiDiff) that outputs actions. Our key insight is that robotic policies do not require fully denoised frames but can rely on low-resolution latents generated in a single denoising step. To connect early predictions to actions, we introduce DiffMatcher, a video-action alignment module with a novel co-training strategy that synchronizes the two diffusion models. MinD achieves a 63% success rate on RL-Bench, 60% on real-world Franka tasks, and operates at 11.3 FPS, demonstrating the efficiency of single-step latent features for control signals. Furthermore, MinD identifies 74% of potential task failures in advance, providing real-time safety signals for monitoring and intervention. This work establishes a new paradigm for efficient and reliable robotic manipulation using generative world models.

FastInit: Fast Noise Initialization for Temporally Consistent Video GenerationChengyu Bai, Yuming Li, Zhongyu Zhao et al.
Video generation has made significant strides with the development of diffusion models; however, achieving high temporal consistency remains a challenging task. Recently, FreeInit identified a training-inference gap and introduced a method to iteratively refine the initial noise during inference. However, iterative refinement significantly increases the computational cost associated with video generation. In this paper, we introduce FastInit, a fast noise initialization method that eliminates the need for iterative refinement. FastInit learns a Video Noise Prediction Network (VNPNet) that takes random noise and a text prompt as input, generating refined noise in a single forward pass. Therefore, FastInit greatly enhances the efficiency of video generation while achieving high temporal consistency across frames. To train the VNPNet, we create a large-scale dataset consisting of pairs of text prompts, random noise, and refined noise. Extensive experiments with various text-to-video models show that our method consistently improves the quality and temporal consistency of the generated videos. FastInit not only provides a substantial improvement in video generation but also offers a practical solution that can be applied directly during inference. The code and dataset will be released.

ASGDiffusion: Parallel High-Resolution Generation with Asynchronous Structure GuidanceYuming Li, Peidong Jia, Daiwei Hong et al.
Training-free high-resolution (HR) image generation has garnered significant attention due to the high costs of training large diffusion models. Most existing methods begin by reconstructing the overall structure and then proceed to refine the local details. Despite their advancements, they still face issues with repetitive patterns in HR image generation. Besides, HR generation with diffusion models incurs significant computational costs. Thus, parallel generation is essential for interactive applications. To solve the above limitations, we introduce a novel method named ASGDiffusion for parallel HR generation with Asynchronous Structure Guidance (ASG) using pre-trained diffusion models. To solve the pattern repetition problem of HR image generation, ASGDiffusion leverages the low-resolution (LR) noise weighted by the attention mask as the structure guidance for the denoising step to ensure semantic consistency. The proposed structure guidance can significantly alleviate the pattern repetition problem. To enable parallel generation, we further propose a parallelism strategy, which calculates the patch noises and structure guidance asynchronously. By leveraging multi-GPU parallel acceleration, we significantly accelerate generation speed and reduce memory usage per GPU. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method effectively and efficiently addresses common issues like pattern repetition and achieves state-of-the-art HR generation.
