PhysRAG: Enhancing Physics-Awareness in Video Generation via Retrieval-Augmented GenerationKexu Cheng, Zicheng Liu, Mingju Gao et al.
Developing physically aware video generation models remains a significant challenge due to the difficulty in capturing diverse physical phenomena, such as thermal dynamics, mechanics, and optics. In this work, we introduce PhysRAG, a novel pipeline that enhances physical awareness in video generation through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). To address the issue of limited high-quality data, we design a two-stage data filtering pipeline based on the WISA-80K dataset, resulting in a curated set of 7K high-quality videos for training. Furthermore, we construct a physical video database and develop a mechanism to inject physical knowledge into a video diffusion model using learnable queries. Our method achieves state-of-the-art performance in both visual quality and physical rule compliance, surpassing existing models in benchmarks such as PhyGenBench and VBench. We conduct extensive ablation studies to validate the effectiveness of our key components, including the data filtering pipeline, RAG mechanism, and method for physical information extraction. To facilitate future research, our code, data, and models are prepared for release at https://github.com/sediment1024/PhysRAG.

Logic-informed reinforcement learning for cross-domain optimization of large-scale cyber-physical systemsGuangxi Wan, Peng Zeng, Xiaoting Dong et al.
Cyber-physical systems (CPS) require the joint optimization of discrete cyber actions and continuous physical parameters under stringent safety logic constraints. However, existing hierarchical approaches often compromise global optimality, whereas reinforcement learning (RL) in hybrid action spaces often relies on brittle reward penalties, masking, or shielding and struggles to guarantee constraint satisfaction. We present logic-informed reinforcement learning (LIRL), which equips standard policy-gradient algorithms with projection that maps a low-dimensional latent action onto the admissible hybrid manifold defined on-the-fly by first-order logic. This guarantees feasibility of every exploratory step without penalty tuning. Experimental evaluations have been conducted across multiple scenarios, including industrial manufacturing, electric vehicle charging stations, and traffic signal control, in all of which the proposed method outperforms existing hierarchical optimization approaches. Taking a robotic reducer assembly system in industrial manufacturing as an example, LIRL achieves a 36.47\% to 44.33\% reduction at most in the combined makespan-energy objective compared to conventional industrial hierarchical scheduling methods. Meanwhile, it consistently maintains zero constraint violations and significantly surpasses state-of-the-art hybrid-action reinforcement learning baselines. Thanks to its declarative logic-based constraint formulation, the framework can be seamlessly transferred to other domains such as smart transportation and smart grid, thereby paving the way for safe and real-time optimization in large-scale CPS.

PAIWorld: A 3D-Consistent World Foundation Model for Robotic ManipulationYuhang Huang, Xuan Lv, Junyan Xu et al.
World foundation models (WFMs) are powerful simulators, yet they predominantly operate in a single-view setting and lack the multi-view 3D consistency required for robotic manipulation. While robotic systems rely on multiple cameras (egocentric, eye-to-hand, and wrist-mounted) for policy learning, current multi-view world models simply concatenate view tokens without explicit geometric reasoning. This causes cross-view object drift, depth inconsistency, and texture misalignment. We trace these failures to two deficiencies: the absence of an explicit inter-view communication mechanism and the lack of a 3D geometric prior. We argue that resolving both simultaneously is necessary and sufficient. To address this, we present PAIWorld, a framework that augments diffusion-transformer world models via three core components: (1) Geometry-Aware Cross-View Attention blocks that establish an explicit pathway across views, (2) Geometric Rotary Position Embedding that encodes camera ray directions and extrinsic poses into the attention mechanism, and (3) Latent 3D-REPA, which distills 3D-aware features from frozen 3D foundation models to ensure 3D consistency. Built upon a DiT-based world foundation model, PAIWorld achieves state-of-the-art multi-view 3D consistency on robotic manipulation benchmarks, ranking 1st on the WorldArena leaderboard and 2nd on the AgiBot-Challenge2026 leaderboard, while enabling downstream applications such as model-based planning, world action models, and multi-view policy post-training.

RingFed: Reducing Communication Costs in Federated Learning on Non-IID DataGuang Yang, Ke Mu, Chunhe Song et al.
Federated learning is a widely used distributed deep learning framework that protects the privacy of each client by exchanging model parameters rather than raw data. However, federated learning suffers from high communication costs, as a considerable number of model parameters need to be transmitted many times during the training process, making the approach inefficient, especially when the communication network bandwidth is limited. This article proposes RingFed, a novel framework to reduce communication overhead during the training process of federated learning. Rather than transmitting parameters between the center server and each client, as in original federated learning, in the proposed RingFed, the updated parameters are transmitted between each client in turn, and only the final result is transmitted to the central server, thereby reducing the communication overhead substantially. After several local updates, clients first send their parameters to another proximal client, not to the center server directly, to preaggregate. Experiments on two different public datasets show that RingFed has fast convergence, high model accuracy, and low communication cost.
