CSI-fingerprinting Indoor Localization via Attention-Augmented Residual Convolutional Neural Network

Bowen Zhang, Houssem Sifaou, Geoffrey Ye Li

Deep learning has been widely adopted for channel state information (CSI)-fingerprinting indoor localization systems. These systems usually consist of two main parts, i.e., a positioning network that learns the mapping from high-dimensional CSI to physical locations and a tracking system that utilizes historical CSI to reduce the positioning error. This paper presents a new localization system with high accuracy and generality. On the one hand, the receptive field of the existing convolutional neural network (CNN)-based positioning networks is limited, restricting their performance as useful information in CSI is not explored thoroughly. As a solution, we propose a novel attention-augmented residual CNN to utilize the local information and global context in CSI exhaustively. On the other hand, considering the generality of a tracking system, we decouple the tracking system from the CSI environments so that one tracking system for all environments becomes possible. Specifically, we remodel the tracking problem as a denoising task and solve it with deep trajectory prior. Furthermore, we investigate how the precision difference of inertial measurement units will adversely affect the tracking performance and adopt plug-and-play to solve the precision difference problem. Experiments show the superiority of our methods over existing approaches in performance and generality improvement.

Vision Reimagined: AI-Powered Breakthroughs in WiFi Indoor Imaging

Jianyang Shi, Bowen Zhang, Amartansh Dubey et al.

Indoor imaging is a critical task for robotics and internet-of-things. WiFi as an omnipresent signal is a promising candidate for carrying out passive imaging and synchronizing the up-to-date information to all connected devices. This is the first research work to consider WiFi indoor imaging as a multi-modal image generation task that converts the measured WiFi power into a high-resolution indoor image. Our proposed WiFi-GEN network achieves a shape reconstruction accuracy that is 275% of that achieved by physical model-based inversion methods. Additionally, the Frechet Inception Distance score has been significantly reduced by 82%. To examine the effectiveness of models for this task, the first large-scale dataset is released containing 80,000 pairs of WiFi signal and imaging target. Our model absorbs challenges for the model-based methods including the non-linearity, ill-posedness and non-certainty into massive parameters of our generative AI network. The network is also designed to best fit measured WiFi signals and the desired imaging output. For reproducibility, we will release the data and code upon acceptance.

Hunyuan3D-Omni: A Unified Framework for Controllable Generation of 3D Assets

Team Hunyuan3D, Bowen Zhang, Chunchao Guo et al.

Recent advances in 3D-native generative models have accelerated asset creation for games, film, and design. However, most methods still rely primarily on image or text conditioning and lack fine-grained, cross-modal controls, which limits controllability and practical adoption. To address this gap, we present Hunyuan3D-Omni, a unified framework for fine-grained, controllable 3D asset generation built on Hunyuan3D 2.1. In addition to images, Hunyuan3D-Omni accepts point clouds, voxels, bounding boxes, and skeletal pose priors as conditioning signals, enabling precise control over geometry, topology, and pose. Instead of separate heads for each modality, our model unifies all signals in a single cross-modal architecture. We train with a progressive, difficulty-aware sampling strategy that selects one control modality per example and biases sampling toward harder signals (e.g., skeletal pose) while downweighting easier ones (e.g., point clouds), encouraging robust multi-modal fusion and graceful handling of missing inputs. Experiments show that these additional controls improve generation accuracy, enable geometry-aware transformations, and increase robustness for production workflows.
