ODRL: A Benchmark for Off-Dynamics Reinforcement LearningJiafei Lyu, Kang Xu, Jiacheng Xu et al.
We consider off-dynamics reinforcement learning (RL) where one needs to transfer policies across different domains with dynamics mismatch. Despite the focus on developing dynamics-aware algorithms, this field is hindered due to the lack of a standard benchmark. To bridge this gap, we introduce ODRL, the first benchmark tailored for evaluating off-dynamics RL methods. ODRL contains four experimental settings where the source and target domains can be either online or offline, and provides diverse tasks and a broad spectrum of dynamics shifts, making it a reliable platform to comprehensively evaluate the agent's adaptation ability to the target domain. Furthermore, ODRL includes recent off-dynamics RL algorithms in a unified framework and introduces some extra baselines for different settings, all implemented in a single-file manner. To unpack the true adaptation capability of existing methods, we conduct extensive benchmarking experiments, which show that no method has universal advantages across varied dynamics shifts. We hope this benchmark can serve as a cornerstone for future research endeavors. Our code is publicly available at https://github.com/OffDynamicsRL/off-dynamics-rl.

TeroSeek: An AI-Powered Knowledge Base and Retrieval Generation Platform for Terpenoid ResearchXu Kang, Siqi Jiang, Kangwei Xu et al.
Terpenoids are a crucial class of natural products that have been studied for over 150 years, but their interdisciplinary nature (spanning chemistry, pharmacology, and biology) complicates knowledge integration. To address this, the authors developed TeroSeek, a curated knowledge base (KB) built from two decades of terpenoid literature, coupled with an AI-powered question-answering chatbot and web service. Leveraging a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) framework, TeroSeek provides structured, high-quality information and outperforms general-purpose large language models (LLMs) in terpenoid-related queries. It serves as a domain-specific expert tool for multidisciplinary research and is publicly available at http://teroseek.qmclab.com.

Generating Pertinent and Diversified Comments with Topic-aware Pointer-Generator NetworksJunheng Huang, Lu Pan, Kang Xu et al.
Comment generation, a new and challenging task in Natural Language Generation (NLG), attracts a lot of attention in recent years. However, comments generated by previous work tend to lack pertinence and diversity. In this paper, we propose a novel generation model based on Topic-aware Pointer-Generator Networks (TPGN), which can utilize the topic information hidden in the articles to guide the generation of pertinent and diversified comments. Firstly, we design a keyword-level and topic-level encoder attention mechanism to capture topic information in the articles. Next, we integrate the topic information into pointer-generator networks to guide comment generation. Experiments on a large scale of comment generation dataset show that our model produces the valuable comments and outperforms competitive baseline models significantly.

Self-Selective Correlation Ship Tracking Method for Smart Ocean SystemXu Kang, Bin Song, Jie Guo et al.
In recent years, with the development of the marine industry, navigation environment becomes more complicated. Some artificial intelligence technologies, such as computer vision, can recognize, track and count the sailing ships to ensure the maritime security and facilitates the management for Smart Ocean System. Aiming at the scaling problem and boundary effect problem of traditional correlation filtering methods, we propose a self-selective correlation filtering method based on box regression (BRCF). The proposed method mainly include: 1) A self-selective model with negative samples mining method which effectively reduces the boundary effect in strengthening the classification ability of classifier at the same time; 2) A bounding box regression method combined with a key points matching method for the scale prediction, leading to a fast and efficient calculation. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively deal with the problem of ship size changes and background interference. The success rates and precisions were higher than Discriminative Scale Space Tracking (DSST) by over 8 percentage points on the marine traffic dataset of our laboratory. In terms of processing speed, the proposed method is higher than DSST by nearly 22 Frames Per Second (FPS).

Attention-Mechanism-based Tracking Method for Intelligent Internet of VehiclesXu Kang, Bin Song, Jie Guo et al.
Vehicle tracking task plays an important role on the internet of vehicles and intelligent transportation system. Beyond the traditional GPS sensor, the image sensor can capture different kinds of vehicles, analyze their driving situation and can interact with them. Aiming at the problem that the traditional convolutional neural network is vulnerable to background interference, this paper proposes vehicle tracking method based on human attention mechanism for self-selection of deep features with an inter-channel fully connected layer. It mainly includes the following contents: 1) A fully convolutional neural network fused attention mechanism with the selection of the deep features for convolution. 2) A separation method for template and semantic background region to separate target vehicles from the background in the initial frame adaptively. 3) A two-stage method for model training using our traffic dataset. The experimental results show that the proposed method improves the tracking accuracy without an increase in tracking time. Meanwhile, it strengthens the robustness of algorithm under the condition of the complex background region. The success rate of the proposed method in overall traffic datasets is higher than Siamese network by about 10 percent, and the overall precision is higher than Siamese network by 8 percent.
