Autenticazione biometrica: Realtà e fantasia
This work addresses security and liability concerns for service providers implementing biometric authentication, but it is incremental as it synthesizes known risks without introducing new methods or data.
The paper examines biometric authentication systems, highlighting that while they are promoted for enhanced security, they conceal significant risks and require careful liability assessment by service providers before deployment.
Biometrical authentication systems are often presented as the best and simplest way to reach higher security levels. But a deeper analysis shows that several risks are hidden and the service provider adopting those system has to carefully check its liabilities before deploying them.
