Geant4 Maintainability Assessed with Respect to Software Engineering References
This work addresses the maintainability assessment of Geant4 for software engineers, but it is incremental as it applies existing metrics to a specific system.
The authors tackled the problem of quantitatively assessing the maintainability of Geant4 by developing a methodology that combines metrics values from software engineering references, resulting in a determined level of maintainability.
We report a methodology developed to quantitatively assess the maintainability of Geant4 with respect to software engineering references. The level of maintainability is determined by combining a set of metrics values whose references are documented in literature.
