Graphcut Texture Synthesis for Single-Image Superresolution
This work addresses texture superresolution for applications in computer graphics and image processing, but it appears incremental as it builds on existing texture synthesis techniques.
The paper tackles the problem of texture superresolution by using texture synthesis methods with additional constraints from a low-resolution version of the texture, enabling the synthesis of high-resolution textures.
Texture synthesis has proven successful at imitating a wide variety of textures. Adding additional constraints (in the form of a low-resolution version of the texture to be synthesized) makes it possible to use texture synthesis methods for texture superresolution.
