This work addresses the foundational problem of formally modeling comprehension and its relationship with knowledge for AI agents.
This paper proposes a bimodal logical system to interpret sentence comprehension as a modality, describing its interplay with knowledge modalities. It suggests that an agent's ability to comprehend a sentence is closely tied to its prior experiences and background knowledge.
